Merlin is a sorcerer and the servant of prince Arthur. Arthur doesn't know about his abilities. Despite their differences they are friends. An old sorceress has come to haunt Camelot. She forms a threat against everybody. Uther wants to hunt her down. The hunt for the sorceress shapes their friendship. Note: it isn't like the show, just like some of the characters and their traits.

The King of Camelot is dead, but Emrys isn't. What happens when he begins to notice the world around him age? How will he take the burden of immortality?

Arthur finds out the truth about his servant, and doesn't take it very well.

Takes place Season One after the "Gates of Avalon" E7 but before "The Beginning of the End" E8 Merlin and Arthur have only known each other for a few months and they certainly have had several ups and downs in their relationship. Merlin ponders on Arthur's prat-ish ways and as any annoying friend would takes matters in his own hands to teach him a lesson.
