It all began the day the prince suddenly disappeared. Or no : It all began the day Merlin came back at Camelot holding a baby.

In an attempt to save Arthur yet again Merlin finds himself with a bit of a problem... and nothing short of magic can fix it.

We never really see Merlin mourning in the years since Will's death. This is my take on what happens: Today is not like any other day. Today, Merlin doesn't smile, not really.

We all know how the story ends. Arthur kills Mordred even as Mordred wounds Arthur fatally. Here is my version of the events leading up to that moment, stopping just shy of the Final Battle.

But is he failing destiny or is destiny failing him? Merlin gets a bit power-hungry in this Dark!Merlin twoshot. Includes violence and character death. Some unusual characters: Leon and Lancelot! Not slash. Complete.

When Arthur is fatally wounded, Merlin makes a deal with a powerful sorceress: Arthur's life in exchange for everyone's memories of Merlin. Eventual Arthur/Merlin.
