The two Gilbert sisters sat across Stefan at a small table outside the Mystic Grill." You said you would explain everything." Elena said.
Stefan nodded his head, Elena continued." When you google Vampire, You get a word of fiction. That´s the reality?"
"I can tell you whatever you want to know."Stefan stated.
"I know you eat garlic."
Stefan nodded his head." Yes."
"And somehow, sunlight´s not an issue." Elena continued.
"Hi, here are your drinks." A waitress said as she placed down three cups of coffee.
"Thank you." Adelaide said.
Once the waitress had walked away, Stefan spoke." We have rings to protect us." Adelaide looked down at the ring, she had never really looked at it before until now. Her eyes widened, and she quickly looked up at Stefan and before she could say anything Elena cut her off as she spoke." Holy water?"
"Drinkable."
"Mirrors?" Elena questioned.
"Myth." Stefan answered.
"You said you don´t kill to survive." Elena questioned.
Stefan nodded his head." Animal blood keeps me alive, but not as strong as Damon. He can be very powerful."
Adelaide looked up at Stefan in anger." And you let him be involved with Caroline!"
"Forcing Damon not to do something is much more dangerous, believe me." Stefan tried to explain.
"He was huring her!" Adelaide said.
"He was feeding on her." Stefan corrected her." He was able to take away her memories of being bitten, using a form of mind compulsion. She never knew what was happening to her. If he wanted to kill her, he would have." He explained.
"Is that supposed to make it okay?" Adelaide growled.
Stefan shook his head." No, no, none of this is okay, Adelaide."
" Are there any others, aside from you and Damon?" Elena questioned.
"No." Stefan said shaking his head." Not in Mystic falls, not anymore."
"Not anymore?" Adelaide questioned.
Stefan nodded his head." There was a time when this town was...very much aware of vampires, and it didn´t end well for anybody." Stefan looked between the sisters with a serious look on his face." That´s why it is important that you don´t tell anyone, either of you."
Elena glanced over at her sister before she turned back towards Stefan and said."I can´t promise that."
"Elena." Stefan reached across the table and placed her hands into his own." Give me today." He looked towards Adelaide as he said." I will answer any questions that you have, and when it´s over, you can decide for yourself what you wanna do with what you know. It will be your choice.
"We will listen." Adelaide told him.
"Elena?"
Elena looked over at her sister, who nodded her head at her, and she sighed before towards Stefan." We will listen."
"Thank you."
The three of them drove through Mystic falls in Elena´s car while Stefan was telling her where to go. They had been driving for a few minutes when all of the sudden Stefan spoke." Stop here."
Once Elena pulled the car to a stop, Adelaide got out of the car and looked around. All she could see was woods, and what looked to be the remins of an old building.
"You aren´t planning to kill us, are you?" Elena asked.
Stefan shook his head." I want to show you guys something." He explained.
"In the middle of nowhere?" Elena questioned as she moved closer to her sister.
"This." Stefan said as he began to look around." didn´t used to not be nowhere. It used to be my home."
"It looks so..." Elena stopped talking, because she didn´t know what to call it.
"Old?" Stefan questiond." It ´s because it is."He said.
Adelaide began to walk around the woods as she saw bricks that was barely standing. She noticed an white broken statue and she made her way towards it. She looked at it for a few second before she reached her hand out and touch it.
A woman ran away from the church as man chased after her." Elisabeth! Stop." The man yelled as he tried to catch up to her, and it only made her run faster.
"Elisabeth, please!" The man begged as he ran after her into the woods, and he soon caught up to her, and he reachedes his hand out to grabbed her by the arm, and pulled her close to his chest." Shhh." He said as he moved his hand over her mouth to stop her from screaming.
"Elisabeth. I´m trying to help you." The man said as he removed his hand from her mouth, he turned her around to face him." Do you understand me?" He asked as he looked into her eyes.
"George you..." Before she could say anything else they both heard man yelling, and he quickly pushed her behind a tree." George. Emily, she..." He placed his hand over her mouth as the voices came closer towards them.
"Anything?" A man´s voice asked.
"Nothing." Another voice answered.
"She didn´t just disappear." The same voice from before yelled." I want her found! Now!"
"I need you to listen to me." George told her, the second he was sure the men were gone." You need to run."
"I can´t leave Emily, she needs help." Elisabeth said told him, as she took a few steps backwards, but George grabbed her arm stopping her from going anywhere.
"I promise you i will do anything i can to help her, but you need to run." He said as he held her face in his hands." You need to run and don´t look back." He told her with a sad smile on his face.
"Why´re you doing this?" Elisabeth questioned with a confused look on her face.
"You know why." George told her as he pulled out a small pouch from inside the pocket of his jacket, and he placed it in the palm of her hand." It should keep you safe for sometime."
Elisabeth gave him a sad smile before she said." Thank you." And then ran as fast as she could.
Adelaide quickly snapped out of the trance she found herself in, just in time to hear Stefan telling Elena that he has been 17 years old since 1864.
"Oh, my god." Elena mumbled in disbelife.
"You said you wanted to know. I´m not gonna hold anything back." Stefan said as he looked between the sisters." Half a century ago before the boarding house was even built, this was my family´s home. Damon and i. We were born here."
"You knew Katherine in 1864?" Elena asked in shock." Damon made it seem like." She trailed off.
"Damon was trying to make you think that i was still heartbroken." Stefan told her." He saw that i was happy with you, and he wanted to ruin it."
"All because you both loved the same women a 145 years ago?" Adelaide questioned.
" She wasn´t just any girl." Stefan said.
"She chose you over Damon, didn´t she?" Adelaide asked.
"Yes, she chose me. I escorted her to the ball at the original lockwood mansion."
"The first founder´s party." Elena asked." You signed the registry."
Stefan nodded his head before he continued." I didn´t care that i gotten something that my brother wanted. I didn´t even care if it hurt him. I only knew that i want her."
"So he was upset." Adelaide guessed.
"That´s the thing about Damon." Stefan paused before he continued."He doesn´t get mad, he gets even. And what i didn´t know at the time, but turns out that night. Katherine was with him too."
Elena looked up at Stefan with a confused look on her face." So did he steal her from you or did you steal her from him?" She asked.
Stefan shook his head." It turns out, she wasn´t ours to steal."
"What do you mean?" Elena questioned.
"She could control my mind,and Damon´s" Stefan explained." She compelled each of us to keep the secret from the other. She wanted us to be together forever." Stefan said as he leand down and picked up a cloth as he continued to talking." It didn´t work out that way, but Damon and i, we´re stuck with each other. Like or not."
Adelaide and Elena watch as Stefan began to open the cloth and pulled out something, and he held it out for them to see.
"Is that Damon´s ring?" Elena questioned.
Stefan nodded his head as he said." I took it from him, but i have to give it back."
Elena shook her head as she spoke." No, Stefan. Keep it hidden."
"That´s not a good idea, Elena." Adelaide told her sister.
"Your sister is right." Sefan said as he turned towards Elena." If i don´t get it back to him, he´ll retaliate in the only way that he knows will hurt me."
"How is that?" Elena asked.
"By hurting you."
At Stefan´s confession. Adelaide wanted to give her sister and Stefan a few minutes alone, so she slowly began to make her way back to Elena´s car, when something caught her eye. A few feet away from her stood and old tree, and she didn´t know why but it was like a voice inside of her was telling her to go towards it, so she did. Adelaide stood there staring at the tree for a moment and she didn´t know why, but she placed the plam of her hand against the tree.
" Elisabeth."
Elisabeth looked up from the book she had been reading, to see Stefan standing there." Hello, Stefan."
"What´re you reading?" Sefan questioned.
"The three musketeers."
"Is it any good?" Stefan asked.
Elisabeth was about to answer him when they heard Katherine calling out her name. Elisabeth leaned her head to the side, and she groaned when she saw George Lockwood standing on the steps of the Salvatore mansion.
"He likes you." Stefan informed her.
"I wish he wouldn´t." Elisabeth said as she closes her book before she holds her out towards Stefan, who helps her get b onto her feet.
"Why? You´re a smart, beautiful girl, any man would be lucky to..."
"Because i love someone else." Elisabeth says cutting him off.
"Who?"
"Elijah..."
"Adelaide?"
Adelaide quickly turned to see her sister and Stefan standing by the car waiting for her.
"Are you coming?" Elena questioned.
Adelaide nodded her head." Yeah." She said before she made her way towards them.
As soon as Adelaide opened the front door, she heard loud noises coming from the living room. She looked towards Elena and Stefan with a confused look on her face, before she quickly walked into the room." What´s going on?" She questioned as she looked between Jeremy, Matt and Vicki.
"She´s really messed up." Matt said as he looked at his sister with a worried look on his face.
"Adelaide, back up." Stefan told her as he moved to stand diectly in front of Vicki, and he grabbed her face." Vicki, look at me. Focus." Stefan told her." You´re going to be fine. Everything is going to be fine." He said." Guys, take her to bed, shut the blinds. She´s gonna be okay." Stefan told Matt and Jeremy.
Matt and Jeremy took Vicki out of the room, and the second Adelaide heard then walking up stairs, she turned to Stefan and she could see by the look on his face, that he knew what was happening to her. "You know what´s wrong with her?" Adelaide questioned.
Stefan nodded his head before responded." She´s transitioning."
"Transitioning into what?" Elena questioned with a confused look on her face.
Adelaide started at Stefan and by the look on his face, she knew it could only mean one thing. She didn´t care much for Vicki, but she never wanted that to happen to her. She shook her head before she spoke." A vampire."
"What?" Elena said in shock as she looked between her sister and Stefan.
"Damon must have gotten to her." Stefan said." She´s new. She´s hasn´t completed her transformation yet." He explained.
"How dose she do that?" Elena asked with a worried look on her face.
"She has to feed on human blood." Stefan said as he looked between Elena and Adelaide.
"And what if she doesn´t?" Elena questioned.
Stefan started at Elena as he answered." She´ll die. She may only have a few hours."
Adelaide looked up at Stefan with fear in her eyes." She´s up stairs with Jeremy right now."
Adelaide went to go up stairs to check on her brother, but Stefan grabbed her arm." It´s okay, She doesn´t know what´s happening to her yet." He told her.
Adelaide folded her across her chest as she questioned." When will she?"
"Right now, she doesn´t remember anything." Stefan answered." A part of her is still human, but slowly, the deeper she gets into the transition, the memories will start to come back, and then she will know she has a choice." He explained.
"The same choice you made?" Elena questioned.
Stefan did´t respond to Elena´s question and the tension inside the room grew. Adelaide sat down on a chair inside the dinning room table. She was trying to process everything that she had learned over the past month. Bonnie and sheila were and Damon was vampires, and now her brothers girlfriend was turning into one, and..." Adelaide jumped out of her chair when she heard Matt yell out for Vicki. She quickly made her way towards the hallway, and barely saw Vicki run out the front door before she slammed it closed behind her. Everyone followed after Matt as he ran out the front yard in hope to catch Vicki.
"What happened?" Adelaide questioned.
"She was fine, and then she just...she just freaked out." Jeremy explained.
"I´m gonna go look for her. Call me if you hear anything." Matt commanded before running towards his pick-up truck and drow away.
Stefan moved towards the sisters and whispered." I can track her."
"Go." Elena told him before Stefan quickly took off
Adelaide and Elena was cleaning up the mess Vicki had made when she tried to eat everything that was inside the refrigerator. Elena handed Jeremy a plate and a cup before Jeremy spoke up." Maybe, we should check in with Matt."
Elena shook her head." He will call us when he finds her, Jer."
"Well, what´re we supposed to do?" Jeremy asked.
" We wait." Adelaide said as she moved around the kitchen." We´re supposed to wait."
"I don´t know what´s wrong with her." Jeremy told his sisters with sadness in his eyes.
Adelaide squeezed Jeremy´s shoulder as she spoke." Vicki will be okay."
All of the sudden the door bell rang, and Elena made her way towards the door with her two siblings following after her. Elena opened the door, but when she saw Damon standing on the other side of the door, she quickly tried to close the door. But Damon was stronger and pushed the door open. Adelaide stared at Damon as she spoke to her brother." Jeremy, go upstairs now." Jeremy looked weridly between his sisters before he made his way upstairs.
Damon smirked down at Adelaide as he spoke."Are you afraid of me?"
"I´m not afraid of you." Adelaide told him.
"I´m gonna go out on a limb and guess. Stefan finally fessed up.
"You´re going to stay away from my family." Adelaide warned him.
Damon held his hands up in surrender." Hey, there´s no need to be rude. I´m just looking for Stefan. May i come in?" He smirked as he stepped through the door." Oh, wait. Of course i can. I have been invited in." Damon said as he walked inside the house and he smirked as he sees Adelaide pushing Elena behind her.
"We can cut to the chace if you want." I´m not gonna kill either of you right now. That wouldn´t serve my greater agenda. So..." Damon trailed off before he questioned." Where is Stefan?"
"He´s out looking for Vicki." Elena told him from behind her sister.
Damon rolled his eyes at the two girls." Don´t look at me with those judy littel eyes." Girl´s gonna thank me for what i did for her."
"Did you thank Katherine?" Elena asked.
"Mmm." Damon mumbled before turing his back to the two girls." Got the whole life story, huh." He questioned.
"We got enough." Elena spoke as she tried to move from behind Adelaide, but Adelaide wouldn´t budge.
"Oh, i doubt that." Damon said as he turned back to the two sisters." Tell my brother I´m looking for him." Damon walked out of the door before turning back around and smirked." Oh, a tip for later, be careful who you invite in the house."
Adelaide was laying in her bed when suddenly her bedroom door opened and Elena stood there with tears in her eyes. "What´s wrong?" She questioned.
"I told Stefan i couldn´t be with him." She said.
Adelaides jumped out of her bed and walked towards her sister and pulled her into a hug." You´re going to be okay."
"Why dose it hurt so much?" Elena questioned.
"Because you like him, that´s why you´re hurting right now, but i promise you it will get better." Adelaide told her.
"Tyler?" Elena questioned.
"Yeah."
"Can i sleep in your room tonight?" Elena asked.
"Of course." Adelaide said as she pulled Elena towards her bed and they laid down on the bed, and Adelaide pulled Elena close against her." Get some sleep, we will deal with this in the morning." She said and soon the sisters was fast asleep.
