This is Starmegalo…who had the chapter ready but didn't post in sites while he posted in discord.
All in all, I liked this chapter. I hope you will too.
Guest: So. Al is an idol fan. Why? Because he knows that he could never be with his ideal woman, but he also doesn't want her doing it with anyone else. I rest my case.
A: LoL. Well, we'll see.
Guest: My dick. Prscilla won the fight, but will she win the war? Probably.
Alllllll, why.
A: It can't be helped. Them fucking till morning finishes the story since Subaru will just defeat bishops with no problem and then marry Priscilla. FIN.
Also it would be too convenient for Subaru to just be able to do that without anyone finding him. Like he literally fucks Priscilla inside of where Al lives anyway…All in all, searching for Subaru made him take longer to find him because of that.
Pryd: Damn you al! I will have my vengeance (Eula Reference). Since the smut is finished, from my current understanding we about to see Subaru kick some archbishop ass. bro's about to combo them.
excited for more, see you soon author also I got better that 1 week in the hospital was a nightmare.
A: I hope you are even better now!
All in all, I hate acting like other fic authors and Tappei and write in a way that everything looks like Subaru can lose.
No, that is simply not possible. And it is not the point anyway. The stakes here are simply who Subaru becomes after all the shit. That's the thing.
Eyason: THIRD WHEEL AL! PEAK FICTION
A: He is worse than a third wheel, I think you'll agree with me after reading this.
Thank you for all the reviews.
Let's get into the chapter!
'Thinking'
"Speaking"
Actual English used by characters instead of Japanese
This lovemaking, One would think that not even Sword Saint could stop.
But the man who shamelessly spoke knew that too, he did it regardless.
These two were single-minded and very passionate when they acknowledged something was very important to them. Despite all of their stubbornness, when that happens, they never let it go.
Indeed...they are stubborn.
Al knew that Priscilla Barielle would not be stopped from her pursuit of Subaru unless she stopped herself. In the form of forgetting him.
The sad truth was that it was impossible for Priscilla to leave Subaru in this instance.
Natsuki Subaru had an even greater determination and single-mindedness...
'But you are different.' Al thought.
Subaru would not be stopped...but not stopping doesn't mean you can't change directions.
Unable to give up no matter what, hating himself for doing things he considers escaping...
If right now...What he is doing is 'giving up' or 'escaping' then he will stop. No matter how much he doesn't want to.
'Because that's who you are.'
Subaru looked at Priscilla, whose eyes showed the blankness of her mind.
It seems Al's presence was so bizarre to her at this moment, she can't even accept it.
And Subaru as well was greatly disturbed by him.
"You do know you are...not doing the smartest thing, right?" Subaru looked at him as calmly as possible.
Al realized that too, though he could see the 'calmest' version of his eyes still imagined how he should kill Al. It wasn't a Subaru thing to do.
"Don't look at me like that bro, for a second I thought you were Princess."
"Shut the hell up...why the hell are you here!" Subaru shouts as he dismisses Al's inconsideration.
He takes a look at Priscilla, from the way she looks at him. Subaru understood that Priscilla just wanted him to deal with this. He felt warm realizing she was, indeed, vulnerable right now.
He would kill Al instantaneously if Priscilla was seen naked when he got inside. Thankfully he hadn't undressed her yet. He knew that was a ridiculous reasoning to some people, but he couldn't care less.
"Ah...I didn't intend to get between the two of you at this specific time. I was searching for you after I realized you weren't coming back to the lodge."
"You said like you would get between as if you could," Subaru says darkly, many scenarios playing in his mind.
But Al tilted his head as if Subaru was saying something obvious...
"Duh? Dude...The unpredictable time bomb, that's what you are right now. And you don't even learn from your mistakes. How many times did she forget you now? Did we reach 10? It is a miracle that you didn't snap yet...but what will happen when you do? Kill all of us? Well, admittingly, you are the best for having reasons to do all that."
"H...a?" Subaru looks Al shockingly.
"Do not act like you are surprised...or perhaps you are surprised because you don't even know it yourself? Let me enlighten you...
You see...you are a sick fuck who keeps all the slights done to you in your pocket. You never forgive, don't give me that crap! To forgive, you need to acknowledge that something bad is done to you...but from the way your friends act, they don't even know. So why do they not know? Because you really don't care about their opinion...one day, if you were to decide to discard people...you have all the reasons in your pocket. Admittingly, the list of people who fucked you up is insane. You are naturally dislikable after all."
"..." Subaru's emotionless expression...one could take it as a confirmation of everything Al said.
"Princess isn't bound by your sensitive morals or common sense. You can discard her for that after pissing her off and making her attack you...or maybe her forgetting you is enough. Well, in the end, you are someone who can erase all of your investment in an instant.
That's...what happened with that half-witch, right?"
"..."
"I guess you won't answer...well, that's fair. I wasn't asking for real anyway!
I know that's what happened. But I will say it, if you do anything to the Princess for whatever excuse, letting that girl breathe is like...one hell of hypocrisy. Even I know a shit ton of reasons to chop that silver head off of that doll of yours. I can't imagine what you know."
"..."
"Hey! I just told you that your Emilia...deserves DEATH! This is where you go mad and shout some bullshit without using your brain."
"..."
"Ah...Seeing you not even a change in expression...makes me wonder how long since you've been self-aware, scary enough, I think it was always like that. You are being treated unfairly in many ways. That witch of yours threatened the whole castle that day, with her spirit. The little yellow rat talked about treason. And much more bullshit...what you did was embarrassing beyond comprehension, but in the end, you were hardly the worst. As for Emilia, it would be written off as Oh, at least she isn't a witch if this guy is so passionate about her if she didn't leave you. Oh, she left you by the way, I'll repeat just in case you erased your own memory or something to cope."
"Shut the fuck up already. Just tell me why the hell did you even help me?"
"Help you...to be absolutely honest. I just gave you some bones about this and that...you never meant to learn anything, but you are creepy as fuck. You just keep learning...it's not gonna end well for you. It's too early for you monsters to fight. Bro shouldn't be hasty. Just focus on your level-ups!"
'You should just focus on doing what Subaru does'
'You should just gather courage and move forward without thinking much'
That was the essence of leveling up Al meant.
For so long, Natsuki Subaru spoke incomprehensibly without care. Yet, Al's words were incomprehensible to him, he understood what others felt.
And yet he feels no regret...He will solve him after all.
After all that, Subaru feels a thug on his sleeve.
It was Priscilla, she processed everything the two of them said...definitely important, definitely suspicious, critical...and yet, illogical as it may be, she just wanted to go back to that.
She could only see his wide back. She didn't like that.
Al's actions would have consequences, for sure. His life was forfeit.
But she didn't care about that, she couldn't even feel angry...she felt nothing but need to feel his warmth.
"Subaru...let's..." Pulling up his sleeve, she stole his attention, something she loved receiving from him.
Thankfully, none of those words from that scum could affect him—
Her body froze, and her breath stuck in her mouth.
Whatever warmth and vulnerability appeared in his eyes were gone. Instead, there was a terrifying sharpness in them.
This wasn't possible...whatever that man may say, there is simply no reason to listen to him.
Priscilla wasn't wrong...but in reality, Al knew Natsuki Subaru much more. That's why she lost. She didn't make a wrong move, she was simply surpassed.
What she had in mind was that Subaru could kill Al or do whatever so that they could continue, disregarding time and whatever might be happening outside. Admittingly, she was sick of everything and everyone she had expectations. Whether it be candidates or the future.
But it wasn't enough, because even if Priscilla successfully separated herself from shallow and unimportant things, that didn't mean Subaru did the same.
Priscilla's understanding of Subaru might've been higher than what Emilia Camp knew of him each time she met with Subaru the first time.
But that had simply no importance. What merit do you gain from being faster than a snail?
"Well, I wasn't here for any of this rant. I just wanted to remind you what you are supposed to-"
"Shut the hell up. I know."
"Welp, thank you. You've been delaying for...a long while. Must've been getting close to her, huh? Well...Despite the stance I take it here. I will be honest, scheming and planning with you did awaken a feeling of friendship. It was insane considering what I see in those eyes. I also didn't lie about the things that considering that girl, you were right to suspect about that.
All in all, it's scary how much you can touch the hearts of people despite being always disliked at first, whether it's someone blessed or cursed. Sin or Nature...I wish we met earlier, things could've been different."
"..." Subaru ignores Al and looks at Priscilla, who is still lying on the bed with an expression of confusion and shock...and longing.
Subaru leans towards her face with a warmer but still broken smile.
He kisses her, it isn't passion or something fiery, but it is almost as if he is kissing her for the very last time.
"Even if you forget, I'll never forget you."
With that Natsuki Subaru leaves, leaving only Aldebaran and Priscilla in the room.
Priscilla touches her lips as if to grasp the remaining warmth...
'No way. No way. No way. No way. No way. No way. No way. No way. No way.'
The woman who fought against all kinds of misfortune and opposition against her way of living, could not accept losing like this.
Not that she was undefeated and everything went perfectly throughout her life.
It was simply that she felt like she lost him.
And there was no greater loss.
"It...No...No...Impossible." Priscilla tried to deny the reality, this time loudly.
"Even impossible is possible with bro," Al said as if he couldn't hold his words despite knowing it wouldn't end well.
No...It was already far too late.
Priscilla got up, the usual fluid motion wasn't there. She mechanically moved. She knew she was destroyed in a way that she never experienced.
But even if she is going to be confused and lost, that would only happen after she makes it so that only one person in this room will be alive.
With no emotion in her eyes, she walks towards Al with her Yang Sword.
She did not care about his last words or reasonings. This man was the type of man who could stay beside her without saying anything wrong that would get him killed... There was no way he didn't consider the consequences.
She knew he was suspicious.
She knew he wasn't to be trusted.
She was ready for any mistake to just lop his head off throughout the time they spent.
Yet...that never happened.
To begin with, she took him in despite all the dangers because she had nothing to lose.
At the very least she was sure that whatever he planned for this Kingdom, their goals aligned.
However, she made a mistake.
With her pathetic inability to recollect him, she also didn't realize or remember Aldebaran's view on Subaru.
It was her fault. Playing a game with fire, thinking she would not lose anything.
—Well, it didn't matter.
Priscilla swung her Sword but then—
"Ah, you really don't know the rules, you can't do that."
...It wasn't the words that stopped her. It was the nuance.
Just before his neck, the Sword stopped.
"Ah...we talked about this before, and back then you listened to me with that cute face of yours. In romance, you have to make sacrifices. I am not saying you should change who you are...but you can't just lop people's heads and expect him to see you as a romantic interest. Turn-offs are pretty dangerous."
"You disgusting snake...Don't speak to me as if I do not know him. He will not care about the justified loss of your life."
"Ah...well, perhaps that might be true. You rubbed off on him, didn't you? Ah...you guys, somewhat, do have compatibility. But you see...You are forgetting things again...if you kill me here, it's game over for you."
"...No..."
"Oh yes. It's clumsy for you to not realize. Or perhaps it slipped from your mind just now..."
An undeniable fact was that Al claimed to be Japanese and had knowledge of Japan. That alone gave him worth. They were from the same place…
"Not to mention, I said pretty bizarre stuff, he didn't kill me. What made you think you can and he will be fine with it?"
"..."
"Princess...don't look at me like that. I am not the villain here...I cheered for you guys... three times before I gave up. But it is an undeniable fact, your mind escapes from the unknown called Natsuki Subaru. When magic comes off, you start to belittle him here and there, and some confusion on why you act like that now and then. One day I mention him and you ask who he is...
He might snap one day because of your...cute brain and decide he will be the misfortune that eradicates your luck...Stars are weird with that guy so you don't want to test him."
Al's concern was that one day, Priscilla would make a wrong move and Natsuki Subaru would become an enemy.
"Welp...I am going now!"
Just like that...Aldebaran left Priscilla behind.
With that, Priscilla's legs couldn't lift themselves for the first time in her life.
"He can't just...walk away..."
'Not after he destroyed everything.'
"He can't...get...away. He can't get away just like that!"
With her voice being weak even in her mind, Priscilla couldn't stay angry at Al for long.
It was nothing compared to Subaru's absence. So rage itself died instantly, for now.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! WHY?...HKKHK WHY DID HE DO THAT? AFTER EVERYTHING! I REALLY LIKED HIM! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? FOR WHAT REASON? Khhh..."
"Shhhhh...I am here."
A Voice that shouts with disbelief and loss, coming from the merchant girl with cotton-like hair as she cried non-stop. Followed by a voice that shows care and understanding.
Listening to that the corpse lay lifelessly on the roof.
The only thing that made his eyes receive life...was the same thing that made him think that life was worth living.
The Stars.
"I brought nothing but sadness..."
He said that as he moved his hands towards the sky...
"However...I am not who I was...I can't take that and smile."
In a scenario where Subaru talked to her privately, with utmost honesty...
If by any chance...Anastasia's greed or her suspicions got in the way and if she betrayed Subaru.
That would've been the end.
"I am not wrong. I can feel it. Inside of me, In my consciousness, my Return By Death..."
Being killed. Being suspected. Being mocked. Being betrayed. Being tricked.
Garfiel lashed out at villagers, massacring them because of his own cowardice.
Frederica obeyed Roswaal and still obeyed him.
Ram.
Rem.
Roswaal.
Ryuzu, who smiled at his face as if she trusted him, later stole the letter he left for Emilia.
Emilia ignores the people who tried to kill, manipulate, and torture him so many times with a smile.
It was all accumulated to one thing...
Subaru was running desperately to Anastasia's place.
But then...
"Oh yes, indeed"
It was a cold irony that he copied the quirk of Priscilla's boy while laughing at what he realized.
But it was that kind of understanding that made him crushed.
The moment he questioned what if she doesn't take it well Natsuki Subaru could see the corpses of every single person in Anastasia Camp standing in front of him.
It was obvious that Natsuki Subaru could no longer stay passive to his good intentions being answered with unreasonable suspicion before a cold betrayal.
It was not possible. Not anymore.
It was not possible to the point that if he were to force such a reality in which he tries to shrug it off...He could not force himself.
The checkpoint would not update. He would go mad.
The consequences of going against his own being, he suffered so many deaths in that one year because of that.
If they did anything unacceptable, he would kill them all with a smile.
This...was who Natsuki Subaru became.
Unable to trust. Unable to see things clearly.
The accumulation of betrayals and smiles that shrugged off the extreme slights done to him changed his views.
And it all blows into the faces of those two princesses who weren't privileged enough to meet with him earlier, and not Subaru's friends.
It wasn't fair.
Yet, the man who watched the stars without blinking...didn't know any of that.
"So many wrongs...yet I can't even think what would be the right thing to do..."
Waking up in a random alleyway as thugs he didn't know closed in to rob him, Natsuki Subaru had some time to think things over.
Manipulated by Aldebaran. Left Priscilla alone, after assuming she would be alright and breaking Anastasia.
Subaru could see his wrongs from the conclusion to those actions without problem...and yet.
"Even if I were to not listen, Al, it was a fact that I had to speak with Anastasia alone. Even if I were to finish what I started with Priscilla, I wouldn't stay with her when there are so many things left unfinished...I'd rather not admit it but..."
Priscilla had no intention to make Subaru be bothered by anything, regardless of their importance.
Something like a weakness...no, perhaps a decision he saw in her eyes.
Let's drop everything.
Meaningless things that Subaru kept without following his heart.
Things that Priscilla started to entertain herself.
Politics. Fame. Expectations. Camps. Friends. Weights. Titles.
Dropping all of that, since they are not as important as whatever might come from being together.
But that was impossible...
"I am unable to stop without seeing an end..."
Simple as that, nothing to be proud of, just a man who couldn't give up his own way of living for a happy life.
"As for Anastasia, disregarding how our relationship is destroyed because of me...I can't see any other way..."
'Fear' made her take him seriously. Making her person unable to think of anything else.
'Concern' would protect her feelings. However, she would stay strong, perhaps even allowing foolish thoughts like profit to enter her mind. When it was a matter concerning the life and death of not only her but perhaps the whole country.
After all, despite being an orphan, Anastasia was spoiled by her gifts and talents.
"Not to mention...for a child who was meant to die, getting that name and somewhat conveniently finding the one spirit that could save her named Echidna...Seriously, is this a joke?"
Anastasia meant resurrection.
For a girl whose life was saved and turned around...it's fitting.
"It can't be Echidna who named her."
At the very least, Echidna wasn't made for Anastasia.
"Hey? Look in front of you. Bumping into a girl knowingly just to smell her and feel her skin is scummy and unforgivable, but being an airhead and getting the same results is too convenient for my liking."
A dignified voice that was capable of possessing a nasty feeling without losing any grace. Subaru couldn't see much of the woman because of her robe, yet, she was surely a beautiful maiden with a nasty personality. That's what Subaru thought at the very least.
Before he could answer...
"If you were to experience the feeling of soft texture or a stimulating scent without meaning to do it, would you feel bad?"
'...Hah?'
This was an insane thought process considering they just bumped into each other.
Yet, Subaru finds himself thinking.
'Translating that weirdly sensual question into something like 'Would you feel guilty for liking the smell of a perfume from a female stranger passing by? then the answer would be-'
"No."
"Hmm...well. I thought the honest answer would be the most degenerate one...but you are not lying either. Boring~"
"No thanks for the feedback?"
"What does that mean?... Wait...Hmm. It is certainly true that I feel grateful for the answer, yet thanking is way too out of character even if it feels right! You wouldn't want to be thanked by someone like me, that doesn't tell anything good about you, just like the look in your eyes. So I will just walk away, choosing the most convenient action for me, who doesn't want to give any thanks, and you, who WOULD NOT want to be thanked by me."
'...I...see?'
"But I will say one thing...you are rather old."
"Huh?"
"...Hmm...that's creepy, you know exactly what I am talking about yet you made the perfect reaction of someone clueless...Are you a criminal?"
"..."
"You really are naughty...I am being considerate by not giving my attention to you, but you are making it really hard. I wonder if you are the reason I am here. Well, if you were, I wouldn't be going in the other direction...so this is where we see each other like this last time. You are lucky."
With that, the mysterious woman left.
"She felt awfully similar to Elsa..." His reasoning for saying that was nothing else but weird sexual undertones under the woman's words.
Her dangerousness amplified that feeling. Subaru caught on that she did react rather differently to people who tried to touch her...
"If I didn't have so much going on, I would at least stick to her for a while longer. Though she can't be Elsa...her hair color was different."
With that, Natsuki Subaru returned to his reality.
Despite thinking a lot more, he couldn't get any answers.
Deciding that he could think things later, it was time for him to face her after everything.
"You look really elegant...not to mention tea and all."
Natsuki Subaru was sitting on a luxurious chair as he sipped the drink that was offered to him slowly. The teacup was adorned with red lines and looked extremely expensive.
It wasn't something he would agree with, spending money for luxury to this level. However, he couldn't find it ugly or disagreeable when she did it.
"...I felt like it."
"I see."
Subaru kept his gaze on Priscilla. She was wearing an open dress that hid her legs and looked tight, he witnessed her awesome figure once again while seeing her coming inside.
The dress ended after covering her chest from the sides, which allowed Priscilla's lower and upper chest to show a lot of flesh.
Subaru's eyes were satisfied, but he also didn't feel like he deserved to feel good just like that.
He had no idea why she wore that after everything, it wasn't uncommon that Priscilla would do things because she 'felt like it', but this time, it wasn't true. He knew that.
"Is there anything you want to say?" Subaru asks Priscilla as her soft lips touch the tea.
Seemingly waiting for him to say it, Priscilla answers rather quickly.
"Was it worth it?"
"Not one bit. It was a failure. What I had to do is done...but the way I did...I don't know, I can't even say it could be better since I can't imagine how I could do that without risking things."
Subaru didn't tell anything to her about Anastasia, yet he felt like talking about things she wouldn't understand...It was something Subaru did regularly with everyone, speaking without caring about people's comprehension.
But this time it was different...It just came out of his lips.
"What if you were to be satisfied?" Priscilla asked as she covered her expression with her fan.
"...Ah...I..." Subaru's mind stopped as he gave a shocked reaction...he digested her words.
Indeed...even if Anastasia smiled, even if [Echidna] were to be trusted absolutely.
Even if there were no tears...Subaru wouldn't be happy...after all, he left Priscilla just like that.
Priscilla felt genuine pleasure to see that, something that Subaru didn't see with his clouded mind.
"In the end, I just got manipulated by Al..."
"Hmm..."
To that, Priscilla only muttered without answering, after Subaru locked eyes with her, somewhat trying to convey that he would hear whatever she wanted to say, Priscilla speaks.
"Would you...What would you do if I were to kill him?"
"To clarify it clearly...It's after he arrived, right?"
Priscilla hummed softly, confirming Subaru's question.
"I wouldn't do anything. Wouldn't feel anything. Al himself took the risk and definitely knew what might've happened. Not to mention...somewhat...I wanted an excuse to do it myself."
"...Well, I get manipulated by him too, if that is your answer. Indeed, I wasn't confident enough."
I wasn't confident enough.
No one would believe such words from Priscilla Barielle.
Yet, it was true. Being proven wrong about Subaru so many times, Priscilla Barielle was tricked by Al easily.
Al, somewhat, could risk his life for the bet he made.
But Priscilla couldn't risk what she had with Subaru. Potentially being hated because Al was from the same place as him...
"Tch...You are from somewhere else, right? Beyond the Great Waterfall."
"Ah...so he really survived just like that, insane bastard." Just from her words, Subaru understood the situation.
"I am from a place called Japan."
"I see...that would explain you...being different."
"Sorry, but even back home, people just told me I am different...even when I was a child, no, more like I was actually scary when I was little...hahaha."
Priscilla raised an eyebrow at that information, also noting that he forcibly laughed...
It was the first time she saw him trying to compose himself like that.
"That boring stuff aside...Priscilla, I am sorry."
"For what?"
Of course, she wasn't literally asking. She knew exactly why he was apologizing. Her question was nothing more than a complicated way of a woman wanting to hear more...
"For lots of things. I am sorry for leaving you like that, maybe you even got hurt by it. I am sorry that I wasn't stronger. I am sorry that I wasn't there in the morning."
"...I see..." Priscilla seemed satisfied with that and even looked adorable from a tinge of embarrassment.
But Subaru just couldn't keep his mouth shut.
"I am also sorry that I didn't see you naked...I am so sorry that I couldn't do more with you...I couldn't even see what color underwear you wore below...and-"
Finally realizing he is talking aloud, Subaru stops.
But realizing it's too late, Subaru at least wants something...
"It was red...obviously."
"Fufufufu~ You should just let your imagination do the work."
"Do you want me to go insane?"
"Maybe..."
The air softened, and their banter/flirting continued.
And yet, she wasn't satisfied.
"Subaru."
"...Hhghgk?!"
Calling his name just like that, so naturally despite this being her first time. Subaru's heart started skipping fast...
He opened his eyes wide and waited.
Her hand slowly reached Subaru's at the middle of the table...
Dressing like that, not even being able to be angry at him, all that...she understands that they are all reasonable.
Yet the feeling that caused that unreasonableness was intoxicating.
"You don't need to go...We can finish what is interrupted by that rat...as many times as you want."
It was seductive, it was a call for heaven itself.
Indeed, if he were to accept it just now, perhaps his story might just end right here.
And yet...
"I am sorry...not like this, not when I am like this."
Confused by his own actions, can't see what is right, Subaru doesn't want to do anything drastic.
"..." Priscilla's expression turned blank and stayed like that as the silence continued.
Subaru broke that silence...
"Even if I can't...Still..."
In the end, he was greedy.
"Hmm...These are your eyes with everything laid bare huh?"
"My mother lied to me when I was a child, saying that she also got treated differently because of her eyes.
But I knew that was a lie the moment I heard. After all, Mother's eyes were filled with kindness, not to mention, it wasn't something natural that made people dislike my eyes...at some point, not instant but extremely fast, I had a certain look on me that made everyone feel uneasy."
Looking at her from below, despite not doing anything intimate as sex, Natsuki Subaru felt euphoric with how it felt talking to Priscilla with his head on her lap.
Honestly...he knew that Emilia didn't understand him back then, he knew that Puck made her know about his condition, he allowed it after all. But despite all that, he desperately tried to believe that he was understood and relieved, that was a lie.
This was true relief, all ugliness is open, eyes are not hidden, yet not being judged.
Feeling the warmth of someone. Not to mention her smell acting like a tranquilizer that his body accepts without a defense.
'This is bliss, and yet...I can't indulge in it forever.'
There were things unsolved.
Natsuki Subaru wouldn't be at peace until everything concluded.
Yep. How was it? I hope you enjoyed it.
As you can see, the chapter is slowly putting an end to all this stuff and getting ready for action.
Other than 'Who was that woman?' There are some stuff I revealed subtly like I did in many other chapters.
If you want me to reveal one since I already showed it. Chapter 4 has Subaru using Invisible Providence twice.
"Wait a minute Subaru..." Something confused Beatrice as she happily tasted chocolate inside her mouth.
"What happened? You don't want anymore?"
"I am never full when it comes to sweets. But that's not it! It's just...when did you get the box?" Beatrice asks Subaru as he holds the reins.
"I just happened to bring it with me?" He said as if he was asking himself.
"But...I never saw it? I swear the last time I saw the box was when you loaded it with other items…"
"It must be that your eyes were deceiving you, since you are such a glutton when it comes to sweets."
"Hmhp! So what if I like sweets! Subaru shouldn't bully me for that, I don't gain any weight after all!" She said with a pouting face. It seemed like Subaru joked around with her love of sugar a bit too much. Either way, her question remained without an answer. Beatrice just assumed that perhaps Subaru acted sneaky and took back the box when she wasn't looking…
A careful reader would question that probability here. And if they catch the latter one, they basically learn that Subaru can use IP way better than before.
As she slowly fell asleep. A single tear of happiness fell from her eye. Yet, it was wiped away instantly as Subaru's hand appeared right under her cheek.
Subaru continued to caress her head with love as he held the reins.
As you can see, he is reckless with it. All of this is revealed in chapter 13 so it's fine to talk about I think.
Anyways! See you later next time!
