Chapter 11
Gabriel stood in the hideout looking at the image Mrs. Rossi had send him, afterward he began to hear the clacking of high heels echo across the room and the blonde looked up to see the Italian woman enter the space.
"What are you doing here?" Questioned Gabriel watching the woman take from the inside of her jacket out the tablet.
"I thought you would love to see the face of one of the superheroes," Stated Mrs. Rossi giving the man the tablet to show Super Snake land on top of the roof of a building with help of his lyre and entered into the open window. The camera approached the window, then adjusted itself inside the room to catch Super Snake close the window and sit down on the bed tired. The superhero transformed back into the civilian Nathaniel Kurtzberg and fell down on his back.
"I do have the impression, that I have seen this boy somewhere. I believe he must be in the same school as my girl," Commented Mrs. Rossi watching Gabriel zoom into the face of the redhead.
"You're not wrong…...I think, that's the same boy Nathalie once put a spy on to take down the heroes," Gabriel commented using his smartphone to search in the facestargram of his son for images, that could contain any redhead on it. Gabriel encountered one, where the whole class posed around a raven-haired girl and Nathaniel was on the back next to Adrien Agreste pointing above the blonde's shoulder at Juleka.
"I think that's the class of my daughter," Mentioned Mrs. Rossi unsure making Gabriel nod.
"This picture was taken in January of 2016. You weren't here yet as far as I know," Gabriel noticed handing the tablet back at the woman. "You can keep the sentimonster awake if you want. Maybe we figure out more things about him or his superhero friends," Commented Gabriel making the brunette nod and the woman walked away, then took a look back at the former fashion designer.
"Won't you….leave? It's 2 AM?" Questioned the woman watching the man shake his head.
"Oh don't worry about me, I'll be fine," Responded Mr. Agreste making the woman nod and walk away.
A few days later after school, Marinette stood at the outside of the classroom looking at her friend Alya chat with Miss Bustier before making her way to the outside. Marinette during the wait took out her smartphone to take a look at a message, she had received from her boyfriend Luka.
"Guess, who said yes to Camouflage to come help us fight against Hawk Moth?" Marinette read, then responded with a single word on the chat box and saw the name above the box blink the word texting to signalize the girl, the boy was writing her a new message. Marinette raised her eyebrows as Luka send Marinette her name, afterward Marinette pressed the voice record option to send Luka a voicemail. "How did you convince her? Was it because she was a couple of months ago interested in helping us out?" Marinette spoke onto her smartphone and let the message move out. Marinette looked back into the classroom to see Alya embrace their class teacher making Marinette tilt her head curiously, afterward Alya ran out to meet her friend.
"Guess, who invited Miss Bustier for a visit," Asked Alya watching Marinette shake her head. "You're kidding me? It's River, who else?"
"Oh her…..I thought it could be Ladybug," Marinette mentioned clapping her hand on her face. "I'm sorry. Usually, the first person coming to my mind is Ladybug,"
"It's alright. I can understand that. How long is Ladybug fighting crimes? Two or three years?"
"That's a good question. All I know is, that it's been a year since she has new recruits in her team,"
"Right, right…..hey have you already seen the new superhero Camouflage?" Alya asked walking along with Marinette to the stairs to go down to the court. "He kind of reminds me of Luka, when he used to be Viperion, what do you think?"
"No chance," Denied Marinette. "Last time, when this new superhero was out, I was eating dinner with Luka at his house…..This theory you gotta scrap out from your notebook,"
"Okay, that's what I thought," Commented Alya stopping along with her friend beside the stairs.
"Okay, we weren't going to talk about superheroes, we were talking about…...River, yes….what has she gotta do with Miss Bustier? Why is she taking you to her? You barely know her,"
"Well…...Miss Bustier didn't promise me, that I could visit her, but she would ask her. Miss Bustier started working here at the Françoise Dupont around the time River was finishing school. She attended Literature and French classes here. River invited Miss Bustier, because both talked about their infants and other things about school and that's all, actually,"
"Alright, that's sweet. Are you hoping to gain any tips from her related to journalism?" Questioned Marinette making Alya nod.
"I would love that. If the evening just has us all talking about something else, it won't matter. What matters is, that I got the chance to befriend her in one way," Alya explained, then Nino showed up to peck his girlfriend on her cheek.
"Hey babe, are you coming?" Questioned Nino making Alya nod. "Are you interested in coming with us to the cinema? We wanted to see Super Marko Cousins together with Chris and the twins,"
"It's fine. I thought about going to meet Luka, but I'm not sure if his classes have ended yet," Mentioned Marinette making the two nod.
"Okay, see you tomorrow," Alya said sharing a hug with her friend and left along with Nino, afterward Marinette took out her smartphone to seek through the address list and saw Nathaniel's name in it, then opened it to write down a message.
"Have you already found the member you want to have on our team?" Typed Marinette down, then sent the message and leaned back on the railing to watch a few other students pass by her.
Later on the outside, Yi walked along with her friend Kagami toward the bakery of Marinette's parents.
"If you want to get home, you just have an app to call your car and it will get you home?" Questioned Yi making her friend nod.
"Modern, Japanese, advanced technology. The grandparents of my mother's side including her own the TNH. It's like a sort of…...family business,"
"Family business…..my grandmother always wanted to have her own restaurant. She was really skilled at cooking. The reason, she never got there was, that upon my mom having me, she decided to stay at home and help out," Explained Yi making Kagami nod, then both stopped by the door encountering Wayhem from another class leave the building with a small sandwich, then moved down the sidewalk and Kagami held the door open waiting for Yi, which checked out the interior of her backpack's stuff.
"Have you got everything?" Questioned Kagami watching Yi sigh in relief, then follow the friend. "You good?"
"I thought I had forgotten my homework, but I got them here," Mentioned Yi making the Japanese girl nod.
"Well, I would be more worried, if you had them with you, but would forget doing them…,"
"This whole Hawk Moth story again kind of…...bugs me. You were used to Paris before he returned and now you gotta get used to it again. It's nothing new, just sometimes things happen at the wrong moment and you…...gotta hide,"
"I understand that," Commented Kagami look at the number of pastries and bread shown on the display. Yi stood behind her, then heard the door open up, where a man was on the phone and leaned against the door to continue his deed, ignoring the possible perturbance he could cause to current guests. Yi picked out her smartphone to look at any messages and saw two from Luka and one from Jin. Yi opened them to see Luka's first, which showed a picture of Jin lying above a book almost sleeping and Luka's message related to the issue.
"The midnight battle with Mr. Pigeon really took the best out of Jin,"
Yi smiled enamored with seeing her tired boyfriend, then responded with a laughing emoji. Yi switched to Jin's message, which was related with Luka's comment as well.
" I have my reasons to be tired. I studied, I slept for like an hour, Plagg woke me up warning about the akuma, I couldn't fall asleep afterward, began to study again, fell asleep again, then when I was really, really having a rest, the alarm rang….." Jin had answered, making Yi shake her head and press the video call button to see if her boyfriend would attend the call.
"Good afternoon," Greeted Yi watching Jin pass his hand over his face from lacking sleep. "Oh, you really do look terrible,"
"I feel like Hawk Moth is purposely doing this during the wrong times of the day. I took three painkillers today due to a headache. Hearing all of the pigeons last night, made my mind go crazy,"
"I wouldn't even be surprised, to be honest. He's certainly using all weapons to get, what he wants," Yi stated stepping out of the bakery. "Are you at the school?"
"I'm heading to the theatre. I will just get myself a ticket to any movie, put my headphones on, and try to sleep in the darkness. I can't let my mother see me like this. The other times, she bought the excuse of studying during the night, but it won't work forever,"
"In any moment when my mother isn't around, I can offer you the couch or my own bed for you to rest on. I can borrow you a wet towel for you to put over your forehead when needed,"
"Thanks Yi, that's really kind of you," Commented the boyfriend making Yi smile, then both heard from Yi's side a loud scream and the Chinese girl looked around to see a large, white, hairy creature run over the street in panic upon coming across with several citizens.
"Yi! What's going on?" Asked Jin, then Yi switched the camera's direction to show Jin the white animal on the road. Yi dropped her mouth at seeing the big, blue eyes the creature made showing fear of the current situation. Behind the girl, the man gasped and closed the door, locking Yi on the outside shrieking her, who looked back to spot the door closed.
"Yi! Don't move! If you don't move, he won't attack," Jin warned while Yi leaned against the door to look at the animal, which looked at the device in her hands. "Be still and don't say a word. If you're lucky, he will leave quickly," Jin said, then the creature approached the short girl, which looked around herself hoping to find anything to help her keep the animal away from her. From the bagpack of Yi, her kwami Longg flew out and flew towards his face to do hasty moves by the eyes of the creature to distract it. Yi ran away, leaning the smartphone up to her ear to talk to Jin.
"I will take my form as Hydra and follow the creature. Will you come here?"
"I'll be there in a few minutes. You were by the bakery, right?"
"Correct!" Responded Yi turning the phone off, then disappeared into the alley and hid behind a container. Yi glimpsed out back at the road, then watched immediately her kwami return to her.
"Good to see you. We gotta see, what's behind this," Commented Yi making Longg nod.
"You're right. I'm not 100% sure, but the creature doesn't seem to be akumatized. A closer analysis would be beneficial," Pointed the dragon kwami out making his owner nod.
"Longg, break the storm!" Shouted Yi transforming into Hydra with the kwamis help and ran to the edge of the alley to spot the creature stand in the middle of the road looking around the area confused. Hydra squinted her eyes to observe the animal have a worried look on his face making Hydra tilt her head curiously. Hydra began to sneak out slowly observing the creature pant similar to a dog and she got to the front of the furry animal. Hydra made eye contact with the animal, which spotted her and he growled at her menacingly. Hydra moved her hands up to signal the animal, she was in peace with him. The creature, still snarling at the girl went quiet and sank his head down sad, making Hydra move her head aside curiously.
"Do you need help?" Questioned Hydra watching the creature stick his tongue out to pant, making Hydra look around the area and look back at the creature. "Do you need water?" Asked the raven-haired heroine watching the creature lick itself the saliva off his mouth and Hydra looked at the back of a sidewalk, that led to a small park and Hydra held out her hand at the beast, watching him step back and fall on its butt. "Don't need to be afraid of me. I'm one of the good sorts of humans. I promise," Hydra stated, then the creature followed the dragon-themed heroine out of the road to go after her to a small park behind a block, where they spotted a few adults hanging out at the park, upon the creature's arrival, which scared away the guests leaving sight to a water fountain. The creature got excited, then ran toward the fountain and jumped into it, beginning to take bites of the water similar to a big dog. Hydra arrived to see the scenario with a big smile, then stood distanced from the animal to give it space, seeing its joy about it.
"You don't seem to be common, right?" Questioned Hydra watching the animal sit down in the fountain, all wet from the playing giving Hydra now a better sight at the animal's rather large fur. "You're a winter-living animal, right?" Questioned Hydra watching the creature look at her, confused. "Where is your home…you know, this…" Hydra described forming her hands into a V watching the creature widen his eyes understanding the question and copy her deed. The creature murmured something and pointed up at the sky and made the V symbol again.
"You live up at the sky?...Wait no….the mountains. You're a snow creature, right?" Questioned Hydra watching the creature use his hands on the water to try to show her, how to build a snowball which Hydra didn't seem to understand quite well.
"Stand away from her!" Ordered a voice earning the attention of Hydra and the creature, which watched Onyx appear coming from the other direction. The creature pushed Hydra behind and flinched his teeth to threaten the cat-themed superhero. Onyx gasped, then took out his staff and held it in front of himself to be able to use it as protection.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! There's no need to fight," Warned Hydra coming between the two and holding both away from each other. "You both are good guys, don't need to worry about it," Hydra stated noticing the creature glimpse at Onyx's stick making Hydra understand, what his issue was. "Jin, put the stick away. You're scaring him,"
"Scaring him? He's almost two heads taller than me," Pouted Onyx watching Hydra pack his stick and shove it down.
"Just do it," Asked Hydra a little sternly making Onyx pout and take the staff back. "Good. I'm sure you two will get along," Yi said looking at the animal, which looked at Onyx neutrally and Hydra moved her hand at Onyx to introduce him to the animal. "This is Onyx, my boyfriend," Hydra introduced to the creature, which tilted his head and Hydra pointed at Onyx. "Boy…..friend….." Hydra repeated giving the boy a peck on his cheek making him wide his eyes surprised at the revelation. "I know in the animal world, everything works differently. He's like my life partner," Stated Hydra watching the animal wide his eyes curious.
"Ohhh….." The creature let out, then Onyx held out his hand to expect the creature to give his hand as well, but instead of that, the creature jumped with its arms at Onyx to lick his face.
"Hey!" Complained Onyx making Hydra laugh at his reaction, then looked aside to see a crowd of people running along the road, making Hydra look curious and jump out of the fountain to approach the exit of the park and spotted by the near of the bakery a white and gray striped man with a pale skin and a moth-shaped mask plastered around his eyes hold on his hands a stick. The man spotted a person running across the road to follow the crowd, then the villain swung his stick and released from its head a cube, which extended itself out into a cage and locked up the man, that wanted to leave the location.
"Where is my yeti?!" Yelled the man making Hydra furrow her eyebrows confused.
"Yeti?" Questioned Hydra, then looked back at her boyfriend, which tried to get off the animal's arms, which had grabbed the superhero for a friendly hug. "Of course! He's a yeti. He's probably in danger and scared of humans," Hydra told herself and looked at the villain's head to a different direction and the heroine returned back passing above a channel cover hearing its bang upon stepping on it. Hydra had an idea, then ran into the fountain again and grabbed Onyx by his arm.
"There's an akuma looking for him. I think he's a yeti and is being sought by a strange man, that definitely is no good for him,"
"And what are you thinking about doing about that?" Questioned Onyx. "We can't hide someone like him…..or her….."
"You can open one of the sewer covers and we go in there and look for a way out of the danger zone," Suggested Hydra making Onyx gasp.
"The sewers?" Questioned Onyx shocked. "That dirty place down there? Are you out of your mind?"
"Jin, come on. You can do that. No one's gonna know you've been down there,"
"But there are rats and mouses down there. That's simply not good for my image," Onyx complained making Hydra cross her arms with a smirk.
"You know…Onyx… ….being a cat…..shouldnt be afraid of mouses….most of them actually fear cats, and you technically are one cat," Hydra commented watching Onyx look at the creature, which shook his back similar to a dog and the hero nodded.
"You're right," Confessed Onyx making Hydra smile and she moved her hand to signal the two friends to follow her.
By the park in front of Notre Dame stood Ladybug waiting for her team to arrive, then smiled as she saw Camouflage come along with a bee-themed superheroine with long pigtails, which were covered with yellow stripes.
"Oh great, she came," Ladybug spoke watching the heroine race into the arms of the superheroine. "Oh, what a surprise,"
"I always wanted to be able to help you out, Ladybug. Thank you for picking me out," Thanked the blue-haired bee-heroine making Ladybug smile.
"You're welcome. Have you by coincidence already pick out a name?" Questioned the leader watching the girl nod.
"Honey Gold," Responded the newbie. "I'm not sure if I will stick with it though,"
"You have time," Commented Ladybug, then heard the melody of Super Snake's lyre and watched him arrive by the trio.
"Hey guys, what are we hunting for exactly?" Questioned Super Snake. "I saw the akuma and on the side of the Françoise Dupont a white ape, which was being escorted by Onyx and Hydra,"
"I heard that man shouting the whole time yeti, yeti, yeti. There must be a connection," Honey Gold mentioned making Ladybug nod, then Super Snake raised his arm earning Camouflage's attention.
"Yes, that's her," Commented Camouflage. "This is Honey Gold,"
"Nice to meet you, Super Snake," The bee miraculous holder said watching the redhead wave at her.
"Okay, now that we all have two cases in two different places we better split up. Super Snake will go look for the miraculous holder he wanted to recruit and the rest of us will go after the one villain. After you got the new hero take him with you and meet Onyx and Hydra,"
"Okay, I think he's still at the school," Commented Super Snake using his lyre to play a song, making his board float up and he flew away from the zone.
"Alright, let's move!" Ordered Ladybug using her yo-yo to swing away, followed by her team running after her.
Onyx, Hydra and the yeti were belowground the sewers walking above the trail to look for a way to help their new friend.
"This is one of the least favorable ideas that I have ever needed to perform. The place is so moisty and malodorous," Onyx commented making Hydra shake her head about her boyfriend's complaints.
"It's tolerable," Commented Hydra. "You know, Im curious, I have never asked that, what sort of doctor are you thinking about becoming?"
"A regular one for common medicine," Responded Onyx. "I could in the future if I want to continue something else, but more profound in a different area,"
"Alright,"
"Why are you asking? Do you think another option would be more suitable for me?"
"No, I was just wondering, 'cause you're supposed to be able to deal with every kind of odor when you work as a doctor. You know smells like from sweat, urine, puke, diarrhea…."
"Yi, are you attempting to make me regret my choice?" Questioned the boyfriend making the heroine chuckle.
"No, I'm just asking. You are supposed to be able to ignore those smells or at least be able to tolerate them,"
"You might have a point. As far as I know, I also need to know how to analyze the dead of a dead patient, so….." Onyx explained, then heard their friend coo as he spotted on the ground a dead mouse, which made Onyx squeal, followed by the yeti scream as well due to the teen's voice.
"Honestly, are you two out of your mind? What if the akuma finds us down here," Asked Hydra watching the two stop, then she led the two around the rat to move on the path, glimpsing at the dirty river of the sewer.
"I wonder how the few sheets on the water got in. Do people really flush their newspaper down the toilet?" Asked the teenage boy watching Hydra shake her head.
"I'm pretty sure those came from the road. The road does have larger holes on the side," Explained Hydra making Onyx nod, while the yeti behind them looked at the water and spotted a sheet of a magazine with the image of a mountain. The yeti recognized the image, then shove Onyx on his shoulder and pointed at it.
"Yeah, that's a piece of paper," Stated Onyx watching the yeti point at it again, then to himself making Onyx tilt his head wondering where their conversation seemed to be going. "Do you think that's your home?" Asked the cat-themed superhero watching the yeti nod, afterward Hydra used her sword to stab it into the sheet and pull it up to show it to Onyx, which warped his face at seeing it dripping.
"Jin, you're practically wearing gloves. This won't hurt you," Hydra pouted watching the boyfriend pick up the sheet to show it the yeti.
"Mount Everest, first impressions by hikers and the story of how Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary first officially got on top of the world's highest mountain," Onyx read out loud, then looked at the yeti, which was looking sad at the teenagers.
"You're from Mount Everest aren't you?" Hydra asked watching the yeti nod and grab the sheet to look at it unhappy. "He needs to get home,"
"Yeah, but…..I think we can't walk any longer under the sewers. So far I know, the sewers are only in Paris. We had to go a different way. The second problem is, that Nepal is on the other side of the world!" Complained Onyx watching Hydra get up.
"But we can't be here either, Jin. We need to get him home. We're superheroes, that's our job. I may not know how to do so, but I'm sure Ladybug has a great idea to help us out. I'm not leaving this poor creature in the hands of that terrible man up there,"
"We don't even know, who this man is. Maybe he's his owner,"
"Jin, what normal person owns a wild animal at their home?"
"Well, I've seen influencers that own foxes or tigers…..you know there are also certain millionaires, that think they can own anything they want. I'm pretty sure, he's one of them,"
"Most of them are rare cases. The yeti here is obviously not one. He misses his home, he probably even has his family to look after,"
"Right. You know, the best thing is to ask Ladybug. She sure knows a solution and…..wait, I can borrow the horse miraculous. With that we can travel to Mount Everest and drop him there," Explained Onyx and looked along with Hydra at the yeti, which tilted his head.
"See? I told you, we would find a way for your home," Hydra said making the yeti laugh, then hug the duo tight.
"Okay, okay, big guy. I am glad, we could help," Spoke Onyx, then heard his staff ring and took it out to attend it. "Speak to me, Super Snake,"
"I'm looking for a recruit to help us as Ladybug asked. Where shall we meet you afterward?"
"Uh is it possible near the bakery?" Questioned Onyx, I'm thinking about using the horse miraculous to bring the yeti back to Everest,"
"I think it's okay. I'm near the Francoise Dupont. Won't be a problem. If somehow you have to change places, call me back,"
"We will, I promise," Onyx said followed by Super Snake hang up and look at the duo. "I think we should walk back and wait for him,"
"Alright, come let's go," Hydra enunciated and ran off, followed by her two friends.
Super Snake flew above the roof into the building of his school and got down at the ground, then jumped off it, to go around the area.
"Okay, he's definitely somewhere around here," Commented Super Snake and passed by stairs, which lead to the upper floor to spot as he expected his friend Marc Anciel down there listening to music while writing on his tablet.
"Good afternoon. You must be Marc Anciel, right?" Questioned Super Snake shrieking the friend, which looked at the superhero and got surprised to see the superhero.
"Oh uh hello Super Snake. Are you going after an Akuma?" Questioned Marc making Super Snake nod.
"Yeah, more or less. I'm also looking for a new recruit for our superhero team and I thought that you would be the perfect choice," Stated Super Snake taking out from his suit's pocket the fox miraculous out. "You've got everything a superhero needs to be, sympathy, kindness…..you're trustworthy, helpful to others, you gotta accept that,"
"I don't know if I really will do well as a superhero. I'm not good at sports and worse, I'm not very talkative to people,"
"Me neither. That does not matter. You'll do just as well as the others. Not at first or second time, but soon enough,"
"I….can't take this, Super Snake. I don't feel ready for a task like this. My…..my fear wouldn't allow me to get myself together whenever I required it. I appreciate your interest in me, but…I gotta give this up to someone else…..I'm sorry," Apologized Marc making Super Snake sink his head down from seeing his friend reject the offer. "Maybe my friend Nathaniel Kurtzberg can help you all out. He always wanted to help the superheroes out?"
"Yeah, maybe…..I'll be going. Thanks for your time," Super Snake said and left the boy back to stroll around the court, then stopped to think about a plan B. "The art class must have Rose or anyone else in there," Murmured Super Snake, then ran upstairs to head to the art classroom and spotted in there Max only together with his friend Kim working together on a laptop together. Super Snake shook his head, then looked around the second floor and saw from the library his friend Lila come out with a book, then made her way along the corridor. Super Snake ran along the path to go meet the brunette, which had reached the girl's restroom and before she got in there, Super Snake jumped against the door to touch it at the same time as Lila, then fell into the room making Lila look down at him, confused.
"Super Snake?" Spoke the Italian girl, watching the superhero get up to look at the girl and analyze the surrounding. "What brings you here?"
"Have you got a few minutes?" Questioned Super Snake entering into the restroom, making Lila nod and closed the door behind them. "It's confidential," Commented the redhead making Lila nod.
"What's going on?" Asked the brunette watching Super Snaks take out again the fox miraculous to show it to the girl.
"This probably rings a bell to you. This is the miraculous of the fox, it grants you the power of illusion and…..trickery….I think…." Super Snake explained unsure of it. The user I have been looking for has denied it out of fear of not being good enough,"
"And you believe I'm the better choice?" Questioned Lila watching Super Snake shrug his shoulders, then nod. "I think I'm the last person, Ladybug would want to have on her team. I have done in and outside of the Hawk Moth scene unpleasant things against her,"
"Yes, but that's almost a year ago or more," Mentioned Super Snake. "You're definitely better than that now,"
"Haven't you guys thought about asking Nathaniel Kurtzberg or Marc Anciel? They're both good guys and really fond of helping out people,"
"Both have rejected. I saw you and thought it would be a good idea to have a person in it, that had a few things….with Hawk Moth…..you know like in some police movies or…your friend Nathaniel has done this comic with a superheroine inspired by you, how you got to be helpful to the superheroes, cause you didn't want to be bad,"
"Yes, that was Nathaniel's idea," Confessed Lila remembering the idea her friend offered once, then she widened her eyes confused about the superhero's knowledge. "Wait…..how do you know that?" Asked the Italian girl watching Super Snake put the necklace on without her consent. "Hey, I didn't say yes,"
"Give it a try. You're coming with me, Hydra and Onyx. We're all good picks, I promise," Announced Super Snake adjusting the necklace of the girl, then watched from the necklace the kwami get summoned to reveal itself in front of the two friends.
"Aww, that's the cutest, little fox I have ever seen…except I haven't seen a real fox in a really long while," Commented Lila holding out her finger to see the kwami pick her finger to shake it.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Trixx," Introduced himself making the brunette smile.
"Good, Trixx will explain you, what you need to know and we will be able to leave and meet the others," Mentioned Super Snake watching Lila and Trixx exchange looks.
Super Snake and Miss Vixen opened the channel cover, then warped their faces disgusted at the sight of the interior of the tunnel.
"Was this really their only choice?" Asked the brunette girl making the redhead shrug his shoulders.
"Well, it's the only place no one ever thinks of going into," Mentioned Super Snake. "The only good thing about us is that our suits don't need to get washed. To be honest, I don't even know, what happens if we get us dirty. I think it's dirtproof,"
"Maybe," Responded Miss Vixen, then Super Snake slip through the opening, followed by the new heroine and landed both on the ground. The duo began to run above the platform to seek for their teammates and the mysterious creature together.
"The channels really do look bigger than I expected. Do you think we will find them that fast?" Questioned the fox-themed girl.
"Yeah. We can also call them if it takes longer. I think it shouldn't be a problem," Stated Super Snake making Miss Vixen nod, then turn left on the next corner to follow the river beside their path.
"It's kind of fascinating how humans were capable of building a tunnel system of this magnitude. Do you believe this was done all with machines or could this be from a longer period ago?"
"I know from our century there are large tunnel drills. I even think it does take longer to make a hole to build a tunnel,"
"Not as much as in previous timelines, eventually. I'm not familiar with history and machinery,"
"Neither am I. I do know a lot about museums, and past artists with their portraits…..History from there, I'm referring to,"
"Sure," Added Miss Vixen moving along with the redhead at the next corner to encounter a long way along the tunnel where they spotted far at the end a large, white creature. "I think we're going the right way," Stated Miss Vixen moving along with the redhead to approach their eventual goal. "And that creature over there isn't an akuma at all?"
"I haven't seen it yet. I just heard it was furry, large, had Shrek-like ears,"
"Shrek-like?"
"That's how Hydra explained it. I'm not there to judge by myself," Noticed Super Snake making the girl nod.
"Okay…..by the way, this is out of context but why is your name Super Snake? How did you find it for you?"
"Sounds weird, but I read my name on a car. I thought at first it was a strange name, but then I remember there are people named after nouns like River Langerak or that boy Hunter Deer from Owl Cottage,"
"I think English or American people do have often nouns as names…..hey I heard someone," Miss Vixen said stopping along with Super Snake, which looked around to hear nothing, but the water movement inside the tunnel. "I heard a complaint about…...dirt,"
"You can hear that good?" Questioned Super Snake surprised, then Miss Vixen ran further, followed by the redhead reaching the next corner and across the river, she encountered Onyx by a ladder shaking his hands in disgust while Hydra and the yeti had exchanged looks from his overreaction.
"Aww look at that animal," Commented Miss Vixen amused at the sight of the animal and Super Snake stopped beside her, then tilted his head curious at the size of the animal.
"Hey guys, have you met Everest?" Questioned Hydra looking at the duo, which watched the yeti look at them and stick its tongue out like a dog.
"His behavior reminds me of a dog. Aren't you sure, he's not a Patou, but just really, really big?" Questioned the redhead watching Hydra shake her head, then take the stick of Onyx to extend it and place it over the river as a bridge, then observed Miss Vixen get over it to cross it, followed by Super Snake, which went slower over it, trying to keep his balance.
"Are you an athlete, fox superhero? You're incredibly got at balancing yourself," Complimented Hydra.
"Uh no. I'm just walking over it," Commented Miss Vixen, then heard Super Snake cry as he was about to lose his balance and Miss Vixen looked behind him with a gasp. Hydra flinched her teeth and transformed into wind to go around the duo to pull them to her side. The duo got dropped on their butt on the ground, while Hydra materialized herself back into her human form.
"Thank you," Said Miss Vixen, then observed Super Snake take from his back his lyre and look around the area.
"If I had taken the channel cover with me I could have carried us above the river. That's one of my new powers we discovered with the grimoire,"
"Oh okay and do I have some extra powers too?" Questioned Miss Vixen making Super Snake shrug.
"I had to check it again, I'm not sure, what they are exactly," Mentioned Super Snake watching Hydra close Onyx's staff and look up at her boyfriend, which climbed up to the exit of the sewer and stick out his head.
"We're in the right place, now we can get the horse miraculous, open a portal to Mount Everest, and bring Everest home…...why exactly did you call it Everest? Millions of possibilities and you named him after his home?" Questioned Onyx making Hydra nod.
"Do you have better suggestions?" Questioned Hydra with a frown watching Onyx ponder about it.
"Well, there's…..uhm….Peter?"
"Peter?" Asked Hydra with a serious face, then Super Snake had an idea as well.
"What about Parker?" Suggested the snake-themed superhero making Miss Vixen shake her head.
"He doesn't look like a Parker to me," Mentioned the heroine.
"How does one look to you? I thought it sounded neat,"
"I don't know. Like a Parker,"
"Can we all just stop and focus? I just made a suggestion. We gotta get out of here and bring Everest back home," Onyx complained making Hydra nod.
"Bring the miraculous with you. We have to avoid to get seen with him. We do it down here in the sewers,"
"Do we really have to stay here?" Questioned Onyx disgusted making Super Snake chuckle from knowing Jin's personality well over the months.
"You can wash yourself with snow at the mountain. Don't worry, it will only take five more minutes. It will eventually take longer if you keep hesitating," Hydra said watching Onyx sigh and leave the heroes back. Hydra chuckled, then looked at Everest and leaned her forehead on the yeti's. "You soon will get home. Don't worry,"
Miss Vixen smiled enamored, while Super Snake just stood there awkwardly, unsure about what to do on that point. The staff of Onyx rang, calling the attention of Hydra. She saw Honey Gold was calling and attended it.
"We have the miraculous. It will take 5-10 minutes only,"
"We could use a little help. Camouflage was locked up in a cage and Ladybug is alone running with the villain. We could use a hand or two,"
"I will send Super Snake and his new partner," Hydra said, then looked at the heroes, who looked at the heroine with confidence. "You heard that,"
"Miss Vixen and I will show them, how we roll," Super Snake announced making Hydra nod.
"Good, take another exit to avoid us from getting caught," Warned the dragon-themed superheroine making the duo nod, and ran off together.
Ladybug ran above the roofs watching the short villain use his axe to summon a cage to lock up a car with passengers in it, then began to yell at them with Ladybug standing on top seeing that.
"Super Snake, please come fast. I could really use some help," Ladybug murmured, then used her yo-yo to call her boyfriend Camouflage and he attended it.
"You're alright?" Asked Camouflage.
"Yes, I'm at the roofs watching the villain. I'm not going to attack him as long as I'm alone," Mentioned Ladybug. "I just wanted to call you and see if you were okay,"
"Don't worry about me. Make sure you don't get locked up as well,"
"I'm on it," Stated Ladybug, then saw Honey Gold's call was knocking on Ladybug's yo-yo. "Oh Honey Gold is calling, I will see, what's up," Mentioned Ladybug swiping Luka's call away, so she could accept the bee-heroine's call. "Have you got some good news?"
"Uh more or less. Do you remember, that Camouflage spoke once about pollination?" Questioned Honey Gold looking with her eye throughout the camera making Ladybug tilt her head at her movement.
"Yes and can you take a bit of distance from the camera? It's kind of odd," Commented Ladybug making Honey Gold chuckle, then turn the camera behind her to show a couple of fencing students, including Armand D'Argencourt and other adults in fencing clothing standing in sync with a deadpan facial expression. "You….did you get their control?"
"Yes!" Responded Honey Gold happy. "I did fly over them and drop pollen over them and they really are under my control now look…..Listen everyone! I want you to do a handstand and prove Ladybug you're under my control," Ordered Honey Gold showing Ladybug how the students did do a handstand all in sync, while a couple of them got hit on their noses by their comrade's feet, but didn't show any pain and stood focus on their task.
"This is amazing," Complimented Ladybug happy making Honey Gold smile. "Head to the Invalides. I did just pass by the hotel, heading to the green park,"
"Sure…..Team! Move after me!" Ordered Honey Gold watching the team ran of, then Honey Gold saluted at the black-dotted heroine making Ladybug smile and turn the yo-yo off.
"I think I could activate my lucky charm now," Said Ladybug to herself, then threw it up in the air to receive her object. "Lucky charm!" She watched from above a closed package fall down on her arms, then she tilted her head confused at it.
"A chips pack?" Asked Ladybug, then opened the package and widened her eyes as she saw it contained tobacco. "Okay…...that's useful for a victory, which I won't want to use….."
"Ladybug!" Shouted a voice, earning Ladybug's attention, who looked back to see Super Snake ride over a wooden board, while Miss Vixen held herself by his shoulders.
"Be careful with the landing," Warned Miss Vixen watching Super Snake approach the roof, then Miss Vixen jumped off shrieking Super Snake, which didn't calculate the friend to leave early and he landed harshly on the roof.
"Hey!" Complained Super Snake, then they heard the villain yell at seeing them. "There he is!"
"Yes, Bounty Hunter is there," Commented Ladybug watching Miss Vixen stretch her arms while observing the villain on the road.
"Is that his name?" Questioned Miss Vixen watching Ladybug shrug her shoulders.
"Well, I didn't have time to ask his name, so I just went with this," Stated Ladybug observing the man run towards a light pole, then began to slap his ax on it.
"He can't jump up here, right?" Asked Super Snake making Ladybug nod.
"Nope, that's why I'm here," Noticed Ladybug, then observed Miss Vixen jump down at the road, earning Ladybug's attention. "Where are you going?"
"I can use my flute as a weapon. Don't worry, I got this," Promised Miss Vixen confidently, then Ladybug looked at Super Snake, which looked back at her and faked a grin.
"That's not Marc, right?" Questioned Ladybug making Super Snake nod.
"What should I have done? He said no and Lila was the only one I came across,"
"Okay, that's fine, but you know Lila….had once a thing with Hawk Moth,"
"So what? Everyone had that. Lila's been in our school for a while and since that time her lies were made public, she has put a lot of effort to change. If Marc and I didn't offer her help, she sure would have been on Hawk Moth's side. I'm helping her to be better than she was before. You or Cat Noir could have done that a long time ago if you two really knew, what was up back then," Complained Super Snake making Ladybug sigh at the redhead's complaint.
"I know, I know. This happened like three years ago. Don't need to remind me of that. Onyx already did his job and educated me about it. I don't need to hear the same thing from you," Commented Ladybug, then heard Miss Vixen groan and the duo looked from above the roof down at the road to see Miss Vixen on the floor with the flute. She growled, then took the flute to attack the villain, which blocked the fox's weapon and fought her.
"We better get down," Mentioned Super Snake jumping down with Ladybug to see Miss Vixen push Bounty Hunter against the road. Miss Vixen approached the villain, that lied on the road, and pointed her flute towards the villain, which smirked and pointed with his ax in the air, making a cage appear in the sky, then Bounty Hunter rolled away to watch Miss Vixen getting locked up.
"Not bad for a fox," Commented Bounty Hunter watching Miss Vixen grab the grids of the cage annoyed, then Super Snake jumped on top of the cage, holding the lyre on his hands.
"Hey, that's not nice," Commented Super Snake plucking the strings of the lyre watching the ax of the villain move inside the hands of the akuma villain. Super Snake furrowed his eyebrows as he had a new idea, then began to play a tune on it to push the man away from the cage against the ground, making Miss Vixen laugh.
"What was that?" Asked the Italian superheroine looking up at the redhead.
"Well, it seems, that I'm able to control other people's objects too, if I use the vibrations of my lyre. Just as I did with the board before,"
"You could also lift the cage, right?" Questioned Miss Vixen, then spotted the villain get up as well and Super Snake used the lyre to throw it against the villain watching it hit the man on the forehead, then it returned back to Super Snake's hand.
"Very well, mate. I had no idea, this was like a boomerang," Confessed Miss Vixen making Super Snake smile proud.
Ladybug heard a chanting, then looked around the area and spotted at a bridge Honey Gold come along with her minions, then Ladybug looked at her tobacco back, then she began to understand, what she could do with it and looked at Miss Vixen's flute inside the cage, then towards the villain and the upcoming parade making Ladybug figure out her new plan with the lucky charm.
"Miss Vixen, do you know, how to use your mirage?" Questioned Ladybug watching Miss Vixen shake her head.
"Nope…...or you mean the illusions, right?" Questioned the brunette making Ladybug nod. "Yes, I do,"
"Good, I want you to create an illusion of the yeti and lead him towards Honey Gold, who's there at the bridge. When he runs back, Super Snake and I will blow the tobacco toward him," Explained Ladybug making Super Snake nod and give a thumb up.
"Okay, that should be easy," Commented Miss Vixen licking her lips, before placing the flute on her mouth to play a tune on the instrument. She swung her flute after the play to activate her illusion, that appeared in front of Ladybug, then it ran similar to a puppy towards the villain, then began to wag his butt, while panting earning the man's attention.
"Where have you been, you abominable beast? I've been looking for you everywhere," Commented the man, then the yeti ran off laughing making Super Snake chuckle and see Bounty Hunter run after the creature up at the bridge. Super Snake and Ladybug lifted the cage up, then watched Miss Vixen follow the creature as well and they went after her to see, where the villain was going.
The trio stopped by the bridge to see the villain launch from above a cage to catch the yeti, which kept running and smashed through the cage, suddenly vanishing shrieking the villain.
"Huh!?" The villain gasped, then spotted the crowd of people heading towards him led by Honey Gold, which raised her hand in the air.
"Team Alpha, attack!" Shouted Honey Gold watching a part of the team race toward the supervillain, which turned around to run back to see the trio of superheroes stand there.
"Super Snake, it's your turn," Announced Ladybug handing the package with tobacco to Miss Vixen, which began throwing the tobacco in the air, then Super Snake used his lyre to use its vibrations to blow the small bits across the air, while Ladybug took her yo-yo to swing it around like a helicopter rotor to cause a faster wind blowing almost all the content, that the vixen heroine threw out. The villain stopped watching the amount of tobacco fly around him, making him cough at not standing the scent, and ended up swallowing one piece, which made him cough harder.
"Team Beta, CPR!" Ordered Honey Gold watching the next six students run toward the villain, one of them packed the villain to do the Heimlich and the others waited for the results. Honey Gold watched the man drop the ax on the ground, then she pointed at it while exchanging looks with Ladybug, which nodded and looked at the two superheroes.
"Who of you has the honor to destroy the object?" Questioned Ladybug looking at Miss Vixen and Super Snake, then the brunette looked at the snake-themed superhero, which moved his hand forward gently making Miss Vixen smile and run towards the crowd to pick the object up to show it to her team. Ladybug demonstrated the heroine to break the ax with the leg, which Miss Vixen copied and she watched the akuma fly out of the object.
"Enough evildoing for today, little akuma," Ladybug spoke rolling out her yo-yo to catch the akuma and take it back to her to open its hood.
"What are you doing?" Asked Super Snake curious, then watched Ladybug take out a little charm with a chain on it.
"I'm calling them….uh…..magical charms," Ladybug announced watching Super Snake and Miss Vixen exchange looks, then see the heroine go down on her knees to help the man up. "Are you alright, sir?" Questioned Ladybug watching the man look around confused.
"What happened? What am I doing here?" Questioned the senior, then Ladybug showed him the charm, making him tilt his head.
"You were akumatized, sir," Explained Ladybug. "You're…..new here, right?" Questioned the heroine making the man nod.
"I'm here for a presentation, actually…..wait…..why are you wearing a tight suit? Are you some sort of superhero?" Questioned the man looking at the other superheroes. "Why is everyone here?"
"Well, you were…..brainwashed by Hawk Moth's akumas. You know, they're like butterflies, that take over any of the objects you own and use you like a puppet," Stated Ladybug making Mr. Burnish widen his eyes.
"Wait a second…..isn't that the thing, people warned about, when entering Paris? I heard something from my assistant when entering here," Commented Mr. Burnish making Ladybug nod.
"Yes, but everything is okay now. I'm going to fix everything. All I need from you now is that you wear this magical charm here. If you wear this anywhere on you, it will protect you from being a victim of Hawk Moth again," Ladybug said taking the hand of the man to put it around the wrist.
"Really? That's really great from your part, thank you;" Said Mr. Burnish making Ladybug nod, then Super Snake approached the man along with Miss Vixen.
"What happened, if we may ask?" Questioned Super Snake. "Why were you angry?"
"Angry?"
"When akumas sense a negative emotion they come after someone. Eventually, you were sad or angry, because you lost something or anything else,"
"I….where's my yeti?" Asked Mr. Burnish looking around the streets. "Have you guys seen it?"
"You mean a white creature?" Questioned Ladybug making the man nod. "He's in a better place now. My partner Onyx brought him home,"
"What!?" Gasped the man surprised about the response. "Who ordered you to do that?"
"It's illegal to keep a wild animal. If the police would have caught you, you would be in trouble. We're letting you off the hook if you promise to not repeat it again,"
"Little girl, do you know who you're talking with?" Questioned the man sternly.
"Do you know, who you're talking to?" Added Miss Vixen stepping beside Ladybug to stand up for her. "You know we could just deliver you to the police and tell them about your deeds and trust me, no money in the world is going to help you out of there," Miss Vixen added making Ladybug drop her mouth surprised at Miss Vixen's sass, while Super Snake grinned with a proud face.
"How am I supposed to show the world, that yetis exist?" Questioned Mr. Burnish. "I found them once years ago in the Himalayas and as I reported it, nobody believed me. I had now the chance to prove the world about their existence and you just take it away from me,"
"Perhaps they're meant to remain a mystery?" Commented Ladybug. "Our identities for example. They have to remain a mystery too. If people would know us for real, we would be in trouble and our friends and family. The same would be with you or the yeti?" Ladybug explained watching the man think about it, then groaned and pulled Ladybug's arm away.
"I'm leaving, thanks for nothing," The man said making his way to the sidewalk, then Honey Gold approached the superheroes upon observing the scenario.
"Well….he's going to have to think about it," Spoke Honey Gold making Super Snake nod.
"Perhaps he will change his mind someday…...or learn with other consequences. Who knows," Mentioned Super Snake making Miss Vixen nod and look at Ladybug.
"This man sure isn't the first person, who is angry at you, after being rescued?" Asked the fox-themed heroine carefully.
"Yes. The first two times I found it strange," Commented Ladybug making Super Snake frown. "Super! Stop looking like that!"
"What's going on between you two?" Asked Honey Gold watching Miss Vixen shrug her shoulders.
"The few times people were angry at me, was because I was the reason for their akumatization. The other ones had other reasons, but I either made them feel worse about trying to help them out or it was because of themselves. I know, I can't make everyone sympathize with me and that's okay. I have to deal with it,"
"I'm sorry if I caused trouble between you two. I just was asking. Usually…..people don't throw a hissy fit like that," Miss Vixen commented making Ladybug nod.
"No problem. I'm a little stressed out. By the way, thanks for your assistance. I hope you're staying with us in the group. You just need to practice a little and you'll be fit for the next mission. Perhaps Super Snake and Honey Gold can work with you together?" Suggested Ladybug watching the trio exchange looks.
"Sounds like a good idea," Commented Honey Gold making Super Snake nod.
"Yes, I think Miss Vixen has other things she hasn't learned yet about herself," Commented Super Snake making Miss Vixen wide her eyes surprised.
"Really?" Asked Miss Vixen, then heard the earrings of Ladybug beep.
"Guys, I'm about to transform back, Super Snake take her to a safe place so that she can transform back without being seen," Ordered Ladybug making Super Snake nod.
On a fully snowed area in the darkness, a portal opened up near the ground and Hydra jumped out of the hole, followed by Onyx, which had a slightly altered suit and wore dark glasses on his face, then looked around the area to see, they were on top of a mountain.
"This is the Mount Everest, right?" Questioned Onyx followed by the yeti jumping through the portal to land beside Onyx pushing him down into the snow. Everest laughed at the entrance, then looked down at the cat-miraculous holder and chuckled. Hydra looked at Onyx lying on the snow, then he got up and glared at the yeti annoyed, which began to jump happily. "This must be your home, right?"
"Yes, I'm certain," Confirmed Hydra, then Everest ran forward to look around the area, leaving the two heroes back. "He must be looking for his family,"
"Does it even have a family?" Questioned Onyx. "I'm pretty sure, he's an adult," Commented Onyx looking at Hydra, which began to chuckle at seeing her boyfriend with the horse miraculous. "What's so funny? Never seen a cat wearing glasses?"
"You know, when Ladybug spoke about the horse miraculous I thought about it being a horseshoe or a saddle, not a pair of glasses,"
"I thought it was horrendous at first, but when it's active, it makes me look quite attractive," Joked Onyx making Hydra chuckle and look at the yeti, which looked back at the two heroes.
"You're safe now, Everest. Go back home," Hydra asked making Everest smile and look forward, so he started to hum a melody making Onyx and Hydra look curious at the creature.
"What is he doing?" Questioned Onyx watching the yeti glow in an ice-blue color, which made Hydra wide her eyes astonished. Onyx admiring the situation curiously as well, he squinted his eyes as he saw huge shadows appear behind the darkness, followed by louder humming, which made Onyx swallow hard wondering, what was happening.
From the dark shadows, they have gotten more visible revealing to the heroes to be really, huge, white creatures walking on their hindlegs towards them and Everest.
"Those are his parents," Spoke Hydra looking up at the large creature along with Onyx, which was stunned by the magnitude of the yetis.
"There's no way these poachers could have captured one of these," Spoke Onyx making Hydra nod and look at Everest, which took a last glimpse at the duo, then it ran towards his parent and the yeti mother took her hands down for the yeti to jump on them and crawl above it.
Hydra and Onyx smiled at seeing the yeti reunited with his family, then the parents gazed at the two heroes, which lifted their hands sympathetically at the yetis. The father yeti widened his eyes by looking at the miraculous heroes, then he blew a breeze against the superheroes, causing Hydra to chuckle, while Onyx shivered and shook himself similar to a dog.
"I guess, that was his way to say thank you," Commented Onyx, then looked at himself and saw, that his miraculous was now blinking in light blue making him tilt his head. "Huh?"
Onyx looked at Hydra, then saw her miraculous had been doing the same and he pointed at Hydra's necklace.
"Hey, yours blinking too," Commented Onyx, then Hydra looked at her miraculous and got curious.
"What did they do?" Asked Hydra and looked at the yetis, which bowed their head down thankfully, then Everest jumped down off her mother's hands to point at their miraculouses and growled trying to show strength.
"It makes us stronger?" Questioned Hydra and Everest used his hand to shake it up, making Onyx tilt his head confused.
"You just got me," Spoke Onyx making Everest chuckle along with Hydra.
"I think we will find it out someday. But I feel like, we received some magical power or more force. As a thank you," Hydra said looking at Everest, which smiled and returned to his parents. Everest was picked up by his mother, then took one last look back at the superheroes, which waved back at the young yeti. The yetis all began to hum and began to disappear slowly behind a fog, making Onyx and Hydra smile enchanted by the happy ending of their furry friend they had just made. Hydra grabbed her boyfriend by his arm and pecked him on his cheek.
"You've been through a lot of strange things today. You should know, that you're remarkable," Hydra confessed making Onyx smile and embrace her from the side.
"Thank you," Said Hydra while keeping her eyes on the fog, where the creatures were vanishing slowly into the darkness.
Super Snake and Miss Vixen flew on the wooden board into the building of their school landing in front of the restrooms, then the brunette got off the board and looked back at the snake miraculous holder.
"It was really good to be out with all of you guys. Thank you for the invite," Miss Vixen said, then watched Super Snake look at his bracelet and put his thumb up to agree with her.
"We can talk about that next time, we're about to transform back. Go hide as well," Warned Super Snake running into the restrooms of the boys, making Miss Vixen chuckle, who entered into the side of the females to transform back.
From above the roof appeared Optigami watching the area, then flew down to enter the restroom of the males spotting Super Snake transform back into Nathaniel Kurtzberg. Optigami flapped out of the room to encounter a blue-haired girl passing by the doors, then the Optigami followed her to a course and stopped to see a couple of students in there sitting. The Optigami returned to the direction of the classroom, then spotted Lila Rossi walking along the second floor and stopped by the stairs to take out her smartphone to check the time. Upon looking at it, she heard someone call her name and she looked back to see Nathaniel run in her direction.
"You're here too?" Asked Lila curious, then he hugged her making her widen her eyes and chuckle. "What's going on?"
"I thought an akuma had taken you…. me…..me…..I was locked in a cage and I couldn't see anyone. At least, who I know. What happened to you?"
"Well, what should I say? I was locked up in a cage too," Responded Lila making Nathaniel nod. "What about Marc or the others? Did you see anyone?"
"Not yet. I happened to see you entering the restroom," Commented Nathaniel making Lila raise her eyebrow curious.
"Right…..I think we should get going and see, where the others are," Stated Lila making the redhead nod, afterward both walked downstairs to go look for their common friend.
In the evening, Mrs. Rossi stood in the restroom in the embassy looking at the recording of the sentimonster showing Lila sharing along with the redhead a long hug and hearing the friend reveal to the girl how worried he was.
