Chapter 13
The next day at the school, Nathaniel had walked into the classroom of Miss Bustier to see the few students Max, Kim, and Juleka had arrived. Nathaniel waved at them, then saw Juleka with her smartphone in her hand texting with someone.
"Isn't Rose here yet?" Questioned Nathaniel making the girl shake her head.
"She got sick today," Answered Juleka making the redhead nod and get down on his seat.
"Tell her to get well from me," Asked Nathaniel making Juleka nod, then he took out his smartphone to look for an image of the received letter.
A couple of minutes later, more students entered into the classroom, under them Lila came alone by herself and made her way toward the last row to sit down.
"Good morning, Nathaniel," Greeted the brunette, watching Nathaniel unlock his smartphone.
"Morning, Lila. Can I ask you something?" Questioned the redhead shoving his smartphone to the girl. "Is this letter from your mother eventually?"
"My mom sent you a letter?" Questioned the Italian girl checking the letter out. "What….that…..did my mom really write this?" Questioned the girl watching Nathaniel shrug his shoulders.
"I found it inside our mailbox. Didn't your mother tell you anything about it?"
"I don't even know, if she listened to me when I talk about school. Or that she remembered your or Marc's name. I'm quite surprised how she remembered yours. Yours quite big compared to us or others,"
"Okay, but is going there safe?" Mistrusted Nathaniel watching Lila nod.
"I don't expect the mafia or something to be looking for you. I'm certain my mother just wants to take an eye on you and make sure you're not a bad person or something. Years ago, when she heard about Adrien I had told her I feared him and broke up," Lila mentioned making Nathaniel raise his eyebrow.
"Did she think all this time, you were dating Adrien?"
"Yes, I lied pretty much about everything. But I was honest right now. I did tell her this lie. Perhaps I should have told her I lied to her because I wanted to be someone special or simply….only that,"
"Okay, at least you're improving yourself…..as good as you can,"
"And that's only thanks to you and Marc. I don't know, what I could do without you two," Lila admitted embracing him with one arm. "I'm certain my mom is going to like you, but…why wasn't Marc invited?"
"Good question. Maybe you can ask her that,"
"I'm actually quite curious about this meeting….I wonder if my mom planned to ask me out too,"
"Good question. To be honest, being there with my mom only is a little odd to me. She is sometimes embarrassing about certain topics, topics like….love or random girl names,"
"Does she assume every girl friend you have is a girlfriend, right?"
"Yeah, sort of," Confessed Nathaniel making Lila chuckle.
"Everything is going to be alright. Don't let yourself get intimidated by your fear. She is going to like you," Promised the brunette making the redhead smile, then looked forward to see Nino enter and raise his hand up in front of his girlfriend, who jumped up to embrace him.
"Uh did we miss something?" Questioned the redhead making his deskmate shrug her shoulders. Nathaniel picked up his school case to take out a pencil, then rummaged through the bag to look for his sketchbooks.
"Hey Alya, did you have another interview with Ladybug or what?" Questioned Alix looking at the two classmates, then watched Marinette enter the class punctually and noticed Alya together with her boyfriend.
"Hey, how was the visit?" Questioned Marinette, then shrieked as Alya placed her hand around her back.
"Do you know those days, where you can visit your parents at work?" Questioned Alya making Marinette nod.
"Yeah, it's in a few months. Why?"
"Her daughter isn't old enough to be coming with her to the studio and she offered me, that I could go with her and she could show, how they work at the studio. If her boss allows, they will let me do a little bit of the show. Isn't that great?"
"Yeah it is," Agreed Marinette.
Alix got up from her table, then took her smartphone and walked back to Nathaniel, which had opened his sketchbook and the pink-haired girl placed the phone in front of his face to show a graffiti.
"Look at what I planned to do on my next wall," Stated Alix earning Nathaniel's attention, which took a look at the image.
"Cool, is that a first aid box?" Questioned Nathaniel making Alix nod. "Why did you pick that?"
"You know Principal Damocles and Mrs. Furtado thought, that the nurse's office looked too pale for the other students when they have to go there. They thought a little bit of color would make it better and asked Mr. Monlataing about it,"
"And he asked you?" Questioned Nathaniel making Alix nod.
"Yes, unlike the other artworks, they will pay me for what I paint. I don't know if that's a lot, but I'm not the one paying for the cans, so I'm cool,"
"How much are they paying you?" Questioned Nathaniel, then Alix took her smartphone to calculate a few numbers on it. While she was on it, Nathaniel looked out of the window, then shook his head as he spotted Onyx jump in the air with his staff. Nathaniel got up to the window to see the cat-themed superhero land on top of a statue by the bridge to look at a large dog running above the bridge. "Oh oh," Nathaniel said, then took out his smartphone to send into the group chat of the superheroes the word akuma, then ran out of the classroom earning the attention of Marinette and Alya, which were estranged by the situation.
"Uh what's with Nathaniel?" Questioned Alya making Marinette shrug her shoulders, then she carefully shove her smartphone out of her purse to see, if her smartphone had any notification and she saw, that Nathaniel had given an akuma alert, making Marinette understand his reaction.
"You know what. I think I know, what's up…...I'll be right back," Stated Marinette getting up immediately, leaving a confused Alya back.
"Hey guys look what's out there," Warned Kim standing by the window together with Max to see a dark-blue dressed person driving on a bicycle, that had its wheels turned horizontally against the ground to float above the road. From afar it wasn't easy to tell, what exactly it was, but its colors reminded the ones of a police car.
"That looks like a policeman," Commented Max, then Sabrina immediately approached the window to look down at the road.
"Dad?!" Called Sabrina shocked. "But he's not working today?"
"Paris has around 30200 police officers. The chance, that this police officer is your father is 9%," Markov said floating above his owner's head.
"That must be someone else, but who?" Questioned Sabrina making Max nod. "Perhaps my dad knows anything. I will try to call him," Mentioned Sabrina leaving, while the rest of the students came to the window to look down at the road to see Onyx stand in front of the police officer, which used his gun to shoot Onyx on his feet, causing it to make a small, sticky gum to have him stuck in it.
"Looks like Onyx is stuck now in a sticky situation, eh?" Kim joked elbowing his best friend, which nodded at Kim's pun.
Lila observed the superhero try to help himself out of there, then she heard from the outside a familiar voice and observed Super Snake come along floating on a skateboard, making the brunette curious.
"How did he get so fast here?" Questioned Lila curious, then watched Super Snake observe the sticky glue and used his lyre to see if the vibrations of his instrument would fix the issue. Lila heard a whisper, then looked at the pocket of her jacket, where the fox kwami was residing.
"Come, just run into the next restrooms and transform," Told Trixx, then Lila looked at the other classmates, which were distracted by the two superheroes. Lila nodded and ran towards the exit to bump into the arms of Miss Bustier.
"Oh Lila, where are you…"
"Toilet!" Lila exclaimed getting away from the teacher, which just observed the student running and shrugged the shoulders assuming it was an emergency.
Lila ran into the restroom seeing, that she was at that moment alone and Trixx came out of her jacket, then floated in front of the new holder.
"You're safe," Warned the kwami making the Italian nod, which raised her arm up.
"Trixx, let's pounce!" Shouted Lila activating her miraculous to transform into the superheroine Miss Vixen. Miss Vixen ran out of the restroom, then crashed against someone and fell on top of the person, afterward, she shrieked as she was lying on top of Ladybug. "What a surprise, Ladybug," Miss Vixen commented getting off the blue-haired heroine, who got up along with the brunette.
"Where did you get out?" Questioned Ladybug, then Miss Vixen pointed at the door of the girl's restroom.
"Girl's room," Responded Miss Vixen making Ladybug frown and point behind her.
"I did also…...oh…." Ladybug pointed back at the door of the male's restroom. "That's why there was a weird graffiti on deck,"
"I had no idea you went to this school"
"No, actually I…..was late for another school and when this emergency came up I ran in here looking for a place to transform,"
"Ok, whatever. We both just know we're supposed to keep our identities secret. I know," Commented Miss Vixen running along with the black-dotted superheroine out of the school to the bridge, where Super Snake and Onyx were together.
As the girls were getting closer, they spotted Super Snake shove the skateboard into the sticky substance and tried to shovel Onyx's foot out of there but saw it was stuck as well.
"Okay as I expected it didn't work," Commented Super Snake.
"Why did you even try in the first place?" Questioned Onyx earning a glare from the redhead.
"You have a better idea? Why don't you use your cataclysm?" Questioned Super Snake, then Onyx extended his staff against Super Snake's forehead making him frown. "Stop that!"
"I believe Onyx's hand will get stuck in it if he uses his cataclysm," Commented Ladybug. "I have a simple idea. We all try to pull Onyx out of there. I just need everyone to pull on my yo-yo," Explained Ladybug swing her yo-yo around. "Super, get to the other side," Ordered Ladybug watching the redhead move to the other side, afterward Ladybug threw the yo-yo around Onyx and it stopped in the middle. Super Snake picked up the yo-yo hearing the string roll out from Ladybug's yo-yo, then Ladybug went to Super Snake's direction observing the position of her thread, then nodded at Super Snake, which mirrored her deed.
"Go!" Ordered Ladybug running with the classmate away from the cat miraculous holder, which sensed the two push him and he flew out of the stick, which remained stuck on his boot, preventing him to come after the heroes. Miss Vixen joined the duo and helped on the front near Onyx seeing, that he was almost loose. Upon several seconds Onyx slipped out of it, making Miss Vixen fall on the ground and Onyx fell beside her. Onyx looked up to see Super Snake and Ladybug sat on the ground as well, then stood up to take a look at their friend.
"Who's this guy, we're after?" Questioned Ladybug watching Onyx shrug his shoulders.
"He must be connected with the big dog from before. I thought first, we had a similar case to the yeti or this was just some random dog Hawk Moth put an akuma or amok on," Onyx responded. "And in case you come across the cop's gun. He used that to have my foot stuck on the ground. Be aware of that…...and he flies on a sort of bicycle,"
"Okay…."Commented Ladybug, followed by her yo-yo ringing, then she attended the video call with Hydra looking at the camera.
"Oh you're all together now," Spoke Hydra upon seeing Super Snake and Onyx behind Ladybug. "Look, I've just spotted a giant dog passing by the Saint Louis school. It might be looking for a place to play,"
"That name rings a bell to me," Commented Ladybug looking at her team, which began to ponder and Miss Vixen raised her arm up.
"Behind the Luxembourg palace, there are large parks. I think dogs are allowed to walk there. How high's the chance, that this dog is going there?" Questioned the Italian heroine making Onyx nod.
"Well, I have never dealt with an akumatized dog in my life, but it doesn't sound impossible," Commented the raven-haired superhero. "Where are you right now?"
"Uh I don't know the name of the road, but I'm on top of the roofs and behind me a couple of houses away lies the bernardins campus,"
"We will meet at the park, then see how we move on from there," Ladybug announced making Hydra nod and turn the call off.
"You heard her, let's go," Ordered Onyx watching Ladybug use her yo-yo to swing away, followed by Super Snake using the skateboard to hover away with it. Onyx and Miss Vixen ran together along the road following their friends, which made their way up to the next building outside of the bridge.
"Uh how do I jump high as a superhero?" Questioned Miss Vixen earning Onyx's attention, which pondered about her question.
"That's a good question. Doesn't your flute extend just as mine?"
"Nope," Responded the brunette, then Onyx stopped along with the girl.
"That's annoying….What about using it as a rotor blade?" Questioned Onyx watching Miss Vixen spin the flute above her head for a little while, then stopped as it did nothing. "Weird, you can't play any tune with it either like Super Snake can?"
"I know I have a gap here, where I can use to call all superheroes," Miss Vixen said pressing a button to produce a hologram to show the list of the superheroes she can call. Onyx spotted a cog wheel, where he tapped on it to reveal a different screen showing a few unlocked options, them being telescope and glider.
"Why would I need a telescope?" Questioned Miss Vixen while Onyx smiled and pointed at the second option.
"Try that one," Asked Onyx watching Miss Vixen tap on the second option, then her flute extended itself to her height and unfold from the sides sticks with an orange textile, similarly fold to origami paper. Onyx and Miss Vixen gasped at their discovery, then Onyx pulled at one side to pull the wing out, then smile amused. "I think you can fly with that,"
"But won't I need wind for that?" Questioned Miss Vixen making Onyx nod.
"Yes…..or you can leap from somewhere up high and glide with it. That's what glider stands for. You're meant to glide with it,"
"Okay and why isn't it possible for me to be able to fly up with it somewhere? I can't just jump down from any place with it and glide. I would need to be lucky and have wind by my side,"
"I have an idea about bringing you up in the sky. You just…...might not like it," Stated Onyx making Miss Vixen frown and move her staff closer to her.
"Touch me or I'll hit you in the head with the flute," Warned the fox-themed heroine making Onyx nod, which extended his staff and dropped the end on the ground.
"Trust me, go on there, place the glider behind your back, and adjust your legs around the stick. I will only send you up when you're ready,"
"I'm not sure if this is safe," Mentioned Miss Vixen walking towards the end of the staff of the cat holder.
"We're superheroes. As superheroes, we have to take risks sometimes. You just have it a little difficult, cause you're new and not used to it. What we could do, if time allows all train together. I could ask Hydra and the others to stick together. Honey Gold and you go to the training and train together with her and Super Snake. I did this a long time ago back with Ladybug,"
"Sounds less terrifying,"
"Yes, you'll get the hang of it. It just takes time," Onyx said watching Miss Vixen stand in her position with the glider behind her back. "Ready?"
"Yes,"
"Until three,"
"One," Both said at the same time, afterward Onyx quickly counted down and swung the staff up in the air shrieking Miss Vixen as she was catapulted up in the air with her flute, which had extended its wings in the air with the force of the wind.
"Hold on tight! It's working!" Yelled Onyx, then ran on the road after the superheroine, who glided above the area passing above the superheroes, that were running above the roof.
"Is that Miss Vixen?" Asked Ladybug stopping along with Super Snake, which gasped at seeing the friend fly around in the glider.
"Whoa," Gasped the snake-miraculous holder seeing the friend fly above them with a shocked face. Ladybug gave the superheroine two thumbs up, then noticed Onyx appear with a smirk on his face and looked at his teammates.
"Did you see, what we discovered?" Questioned the cat with pride making Ladybug nod and jump forward to the next roof along with the rest of the team following their newbie.
Hydra stood above the roofs of a row house at the Jardins de Luxembourg observing the huge, black dog drink from a fountain water, while wagging his tail, which caused the trees behind him to shake due to the blown wind from it.
"How can it be any harm? He looks so excited," Hydra told herself, then began to hear a scream and she looked up to see in the air Miss Vixen come with her glider towards the park. "Miss Vixen?" Questioned Hydra curious.
"Help me!" Shouted the superheroine making Hydra wide her eyes in shock, then Hydra took her shape as the wind to go after her and guide her down towards the grass outside at the entrance of the park to let Miss Vixen have a gentle landing. Hydra returned back to herself, then got down on her knees to help the heroine get up.
"How am I not dead?!" Shouted a panicked Miss Vixen, then Hydra placed her hand on the teammate's shoulder.
"Calm down, what happened?" Questioned the dragon-themed superheroine and Miss Vixen showed the friend the device.
"Your cat-friend Onyx helped me fly with this thing without wind. I mean, there was just the wind I caught from being thrown up in the air. I have never done this and I was scared of falling to death,"
"Oh cool,"
"Not cool!"
"I mean, the flying is cool, but the dying part is not," Hydra corrected. "And this is your only way of transportation so far?"
"At least, what we could find in my flute. I thought this was only meant for fighting and calling. Inside the hologram of the flute Onyx found this option,"
"Don't you think, you have to be able to think of the way you fly or something?" Questioned Hydra.
"I don't know. I don't remember thinking anything. I was just screaming," Commented Miss Vixen followed by hearing people from the park screaming, followed by a loud bark.
The duo looked at the park to see the dog have his rear up in the air and his front legs stretched in a playful position, while in front of him stood a small labrador retriever, which sat there wagging its tail by looking at the giant dog. Behind the retriever, several people were running away including the dog owner, which had dropped the leash to get away from the situation.
"Has the motorcycle guy shown up yet?" Questioned Hydra watching Miss Vixen shrug her shoulders, then behind them the rest of the superheroes came along and the girls looked back at the team.
"The dog's over there," Mentioned Hydra getting up along with Miss Vixen, which picked up her staff with a frown to look at the cat miraculous holder. Onyx faked a grin, holding his hands up at seeing the anger of the Italian.
"See you took a risk and saw you flew. You didn't fly for so long, but for enough time to reach the dog," Onyx brought up, then Super Snake came to look at Miss Vixen's flute.
"Wow, that looks like the one from the four elements anime," Super Snake commented impressed, then Miss Vixen opened the hologram of her flute to see if she could deactivate the function and encountered the option normal. "Oh, that really was your flute,"
"I need to have time to work on this. ENOUGH time. Without people throwing me around," Miss Vixen said glancing at the cat miraculous holder, which shrugged his shoulders seeing the girl wouldn't forget Onyx's deed for the next days.
"Eventually if I use my lyre to fly you around, you could get used to it?" Suggested Super Snake. "I'm not sure if it works thought,"
"We can look that after the mission, first we…...watch out!" Shouted Ladybug as above the group the blue-colored akuma villain flew above them with his hoverbike revealing himself to be wearing a different sort of suit of a police agent and a butterfly-like mask above his nose.
"What are you doing here? Hand me over your miraculouses now! It's an order," Commanded the akuma pointing at his chest on the symbol, which instead of a police sign it had Hawk Moth's face in it.
"I don't give anyone my miraculous," Miss Vixen said making Super Snake nod.
"And you didn't say please," Added Ladybug jokingly, then the villain took out his gun immediately, followed by Onyx using his staff to extend it against it, pushing it off the villain's hands down at the ground. "Break it!" Ordered the leader watching Super Snake use his lyre to steer the gun and smash it on the ground seeing nothing happening afterward.
"Wrong object," Mentioned Super Snake making the villain smirk, which picked up his taser and touched the redhead on the shoulder causing him a shock.
"Snake!" Shouted the group watching the boy tremble from the shock, then fell aside unconscious.
"Is he alive?" Questioned Miss Vixen watching Onyx lean his head over Super Snake's chest.
"He's breathing, don't worry," Mentioned Onyx followed by Ladybug using her yo-yo to catch the villain, who narrowly escaped her, but the yo-yo grabbed the villain by the wheel and he drove off, followed with Ladybug sliding on her feet after him.
"Guys, let's split up," Commanded Ladybug, then Onyx looked at their leader and pulled Super Snake towards a tree, then looked at the rest of the team.
"You heard her, we gotta go," Mentioned Onyx earning a nod from Hydra, while Miss Vixen looked down at her friend.
"We can't leave Super Snake alone, what if someone hurts him or worse?" Questioned Miss Vixen earning a questionable look from the cat miraculous holder.
"Everyone's running away from here. Super Snake will be safe…...more or less," Commented Onyx unsure making Miss Vixen frown. "Or maybe not. You've got a better idea?" Questioned the raven-haired superhero. From the road appeared the superheroine Honey Gold, who came running on her own and whistled to call the attention of the teammates.
"I'm here guys!" Greeted the blue-haired superheroine, then saw Super Snake lie down on the ground and gasped. "What happened?"
"He's unconscious. We can't leave him here alone, but we can't also not stay here. You've got an idea?" Questioned Onyx looking at the Chinese-descendant superheroine think and snips her fingers as she had an idea.
"I can call a few random citizens to stay watch here," Offered Honey Gold rubbing her hands together. "Wanna see how pollination works like?" Questioned the girl watching Onyx nod, afterward she ran to the road into a restaurant, where clients and citizens, that were in safety. Miss Vixen squinted her eyes to observe the bee miraculous holder rub her hands and opened them up flat to blow from her hands small, little particles towards the citizens, who covered their faces and upon the pollination by the girl was done they stared at the heroine with now golden-colored eyes as a sign, that they're under her control.
"I do like the idea, that she can have random people under control, the only bad thing is…..they're mortals. I mean, if they get hurt, they can't take a lot of hits like us," Explained Onyx making Miss Vixen and Hydra nod.
"How many people can she have under control?" Questioned the brunette looking at the cat-friend.
"I think as many as she sees. I know she can sort them in groups and give various commands," Stated Onyx observing Honey Gold coming along with a crowd of people to meet up with her team. "Awesome!"
"Team A, stand around the tree and guard Super Snake. No one is allowed to touch him, except for the superheroes," Ordered Honey Gold. "Team B, follow the rest of the team and wait for my second command,"
The one group got around Super Snake forming a circle to block him from the other heroes, then gave each other arm to build a wall to prevent anyone to go through and Onyx gave Honey Gold a thumb up.
"Great, we gotta go now. We have two different villains. Honey Gold, you go with Miss Vixen after the dog, Hydra and I go after the policeman. That's all, let's go!" Onyx ordered making the group nod and Honey Gold looked at the second team, she called.
"Team B, follow me!" Ordered the bee miraculous holder and ran towards the fountain along with Miss Vixen to see the dog head towards a bunch of trees, where the other labrador dog had gone quickly. The large dog barked excitedly while running after the blonde dog, from what the superheroes were able to see from afar.
"The dog is quite playful but huge! Does the other dog really want to play with him? He could get squashed," Mentioned Honey Gold making Miss Vixen nod.
"I don't know much about dogs, but perhaps he's running away too?" Mentioned Miss Vixen. "Wouldn't the dog stick back, when playing?"
"I believe so," Mentioned Honey Gold.
The duo watched the dog stop and bark at the other dog, which stood behind the small Statue of liberty. The labrador replied back with a little whine, making the two heroines realize the dog wasn't really excited to play and they exchanged looks with one another.
"We have to distract the dog, so the little one can escape," Mentioned Honey Gold making Miss Vixen nod.
"One of us could play with him?" Suggested Miss Vixen making Honey Gold nod, then look at the staff Miss Vixen carried in her hands.
"You…..you could use the flute. Would that work?" Questioned Honey Gold making Miss Vixen shrug her shoulders and raise the instrument up in the air.
"Hey big doggy, look what I got here for you," Announced Miss Vixen earning the attention of the dog, which began to pant and bark loud, causing the ground to tremble a little. Honey Gold almost lost her balance, landing on her hands, and looked up at the dog to spot the collar around his neck making Honey Gold widen her eyes sensing, that this had to be the object they need to destroy. "Come and get it!" Announced Miss Vixen running away from the dog, which began to go after her, getting really close to the superheroine, which gasped as the dog was really on her heel.
"Be careful with him," Warned Honey Gold running after the dog followed by her minions, which she took a glance at surprised from their following her steps by order.
"It's not that easy," Warned Miss Vixen looking up at the dog, then she turned aside to walk between an alley with trees and the dog got in there too, breaking them down and getting slower. Miss Vixen saw in the middle of the square she was located in a pavilion with a person lying there using his smartphone while listening to music. Mis Vixen ran towards the person, then waved at her hastily to warn her of the danger. The person rolled her eyes confused at her and took one earplug out.
"Can I….,"
"Danger, big dog," Warned Miss Vixen, then the man looked behind her and saw the dog between the broke trees try to pick up the scent of Miss Vixen. Upon the man seeing the dog, he screamed catching the animal's attention, who barked back at their direction. "Hey big boy, I've got here a cool toy for you," Announced Miss Vixen watching the dog wag his tag around making her flinch her teeth as she saw behind the dog try to approach the dog, but the wind of the dog's tail would blow the blue-haired heroine away. "Sit, boy! Sit!" Ordered the fox-themed superheroine watching the dog jump in the air, then trip over a tree and fall aside breaking down a few trees due to its weight, followed by a loud whine.
"Oh oh," Spoke Miss Vixen and ran toward the dog to place her hands on his nose. "I'm sorry, I thought you would actually sit," Confessed the brunette patting the dog on the nose, which used his nose to sniff Miss Vixen, which sensed the air of the dog's nose pull her against him. "Whoa!" Complained Miss Vixen followed by getting licked by the dog, which cause her to fall down on her back. "Eww, you're so wet!" Complained the heroine disgusted looking at the dog annoyed, which looked at her while wagging his tail, afterward, it yelped as Miss Vixen did get up to wipe off the drool of her suit. The dog dropped his head having his eyes with no reaction making Miss Vixen look at the animal a little worried.
"The dog…...died?" Questioned Miss Vixen unsure, then watched Honey Gold jump up on the head of the dark-colored animal.
"I used my special power on him. He's now paralyzed for a moment. All we need to do now is to destroy the collar," Announced the bee-themed superheroine making Miss Vixen nod.
"And how? I don't think our hands are strong enough to break it," Mentioned Miss Vixen, then Honey Gold looked down at the group, which looked up at their leader.
"You know…..perhaps we have here more hands, that could help us out, right?" Questioned Honey Bee looking down at the present citizens, making Miss Vixen smile and look up at the heroine.
"Good, what shall we do?" Asked the brunette watching Honey Gold unlock the collar from the dog's neck to watch it fall on both sides, and she grabbed on one part of the object, while Honey Gold fell on the other side.
"Team B, grab the collar and try to damage it. Ripping, Cutting, Biting, anything works," Ordered Honey Gold beginning to rip off pieces of leather off the collar. Miss Vixen handed out her part of the collar to the remaining citizens and went around to look for another part of the collar to break it, afterward spotted the dog tag, which was upside down and had the name Rocky on it.
"That must contain the akuma," Commented Miss Vixen picking up her flute to smack with it against the object, which didn't get broken that easy. Miss Vixen frowned, then activated the hologram to seek for the previous options she had from before and only saw, she could activate the glider and the telescope. Miss Vixen rolled her eyes and pressed on telescope to see it transform into a sort of spyglass, but the front was bigger similar to the front of an actual telescope. Miss Vixen, then swung the front against the dog tag to watch it get broken and saw, that from it a blue feather flew out.
"Honey Gold! A feather flew out from the dog tag," Mentioned Miss Vixen watching Honey Gold get up to see the feather.
"I have to warn Ladybug. She has to catch the amok," Warned Honey Gold, then Miss Vixen observed the dog disappear behind a cloud and turn into a small, gray-colored puppy.
"We have been going after this cute, little baby?" Questioned Miss Vixen upon seeing the small Blue Heeler sit on the ground looking around confused.
"I thought we were going after an actual dog," Commented Honey Gold, afterward Ladybug appeared landing by her teammates. "Whoa, how did you know, we were going to call you?"
"I didn't," Responded Ladybug rolling her yo-yo down. "But I noticed after being thrown into the bushes, that the dog had suddenly shrunk," Commented the ladybug-themed superheroine, which used the yo-yo to capture the blue feather. Honey Gold took a look at the puppy, then got down on her knees to check the animal out and held her hand out to it.
"Hello little guy, what's your name?" Questioned Honey Gold, then Miss Vixen showed the girl the broken piece of the dog collar.
"It said Rocky before," Commented the brunette making the heroine nod and pick the dog up to show it to the other girls.
"Is that man over there his owner?" Questioned Honey Gold making Ladybug nod.
"Yes, we didn't find out much yet about him, but the dog belongs to him. He's been trained by the man to become a police dog someday," Mentioned Ladybug, then Miss Vixen's flute rang and she attended it to see Hydra was running across the park.
"Girls! I could use some help. Onyx just got paralyzed!" Warned Hydra earning a nod from Miss Vixen.
"We're coming right now, "Responded Miss Vixen looking at the other heroines, who heard the conversation and upon having eye contact with each other, they all departed passing above the broken trees to go to the free space of the park to see on the other side of the park Hydra come along with the supervillain driving on his bicycle after her.
"Hydra watch out!" Warned Ladybug as the policeman was about to use his taser against the superheroine, which yelled one of her activation phrases transforming into water and fall on the ground to run toward the water fountain. "
The three superheroines ran to the front of the fountain and stopped there watching the supervillain approach them.
"Cyclone, my friends just saved your puppy before. He's here safe and sound," Mentioned Ladybug watching Honey Gold take a step further to show him the puppy, which began to wag his tail.
"Rocky?" Questioned the akuma villain, then got down of the bicycle to take a look at the puppy, who began to sniff the man on the face and licked him. "There you are!" Spoke the villain grabbing the cub to lean him closer to his face. "I thought I would never see you again,"
From behind the girls, a bit of water got up beside Miss Vixen, who looked aside at it, making a bewildered face, and observed it materialize itself into Hydra, who had eye contact with the brunette.
"Your powers are amazing," Complimented Miss Vixen making Hydra smile, then the crew looked at the supervillain bonding with the puppy and Ladybug took a step forward.
"What did actually happen before? Did you lose your puppy when walking?" Questioned Ladybug watching the villain pet his animal.
"No I…...I was a little irritated with work. Things weren't going like planned, afterward, I got home I took the time to clear my head and worked with him. I tried to teach him how to look for somethi…..argh!" Complained the akuma villain falling down on his knees, followed by the puppy dropping on his paws, then look up at the man confused.
"What's going on?" Questioned Miss Vixen and Honey Gold at the same time, then Ladybug moved closer to the man to speak out loud.
"Hawk Moth is trying to get you to work for him again. You have to fight back. You can do it!" Cheered the blue-haired superheroine while the man struggled there holding his head together with his hands. "You're a good man, sir! You're a police officer, you uphold the laws and people look up to you too when you're needed. Nobody can take that away from you, not even Hawk Moth!"
The man got up still fighting with his thoughts being interrupted by Hawk Moth, afterward, he cried out loud making the heroes around him fall down and watch his transformation disappear to reveal a brunette police officer, that stood there in front of the heroes and fell down on his knees tiredly. Hydra got down to the man to check him out and Ladybug took her yo-yo to fix everything, that had happened.
"Are you alright?" Questioned Hydra watching the man look confused at the surroundings, then observed the puppy hop on the lap of the agent making him smile relieved, and pick the cub up. "Where was the akuma?"
"The what?" Questioned the man, afterward Ladybug got down and pulled out from her yo-yo a magical charm to hand it out to the man.
"Keep this with you. This will prevent you from being akumatized," Warned Ladybug making the man nod, which looked down at the puppy, which was happy to be reunited with his owner. "You're I think the fifth person I know, that managed to free herself from Hawk Moth," Commented Ladybug making Honey Gold and Miss Vixen exchange looks curiously.
"Really? I don't remember a lot. I just felt an intense pressure inside my head," Commented the man watching Ladybug take out another magical charm to hand it over to the man.
"This one you can fix it somewhere on the dog tag. So he's protected as well," Offered the heroine making the man smile and accept the gift from the superheroine.
Onyx showed up to see the team was reunited, then smiled upon seeing most of the team members reunited. Onyx had eye contact with the girlfriend, which smiled and ran into his arms to share an embrace. Miss Vixen and Honey Gold admired the two's hug, then exchanged looks and gave each other a fist bump. Miss Vixen widened her eyes and spoke at the blue-haired girl.
"What about Super Snake? Is he alright?" Questioned the brunette heroine, making the bee-themed girl shrug her shoulders. Thereafter the duo left the other teammates back to return to the entrance, where they left Super Snake back and encountered the first team still in their position, and behind them Super Snake was hoping up trying to grab himself by the tree branches.
"I…...can't….come…...out….help!…" Called the redhead, followed by the girls stopping by to observe their friend in their situation, afterward both began to laugh at his situation, causing their friend to groan to his own dismay.
Later into the day, the heroes returned and so did Hydra with Onyx. The duo head to Jin's family and landed in the garden in front of his family's apartment to transformed back immediately upon their miraculous had run out of time.
"Whoa, that was a close call," Admitted Yi dropping down on her knees fatigued, then looked up at Jin, which was exhausted as well, and took a look at the smartwatch on his wrist.
"Okay, my lessons have ended 10 minutes isn't really a good sign now. I'm definitely going to get in trouble,"
"You are like 80 students in one hall, will the teacher really notice it?"
"He definitely will. Do you know why? I was doing really well at the school, but as Hawk Moth began to akumatize people again…"
"It brought you out of your routine…I know. What will you say this time?
"I don't know it, Yi. I fear, that if this keeps going like this, I will get thrown out," Commented Onyx's alter ego making Yi nod, then Plagg floated along with Longg above Jin's face.
"We hungry," Plagg commented wrong making Jin nod and make his way along with Yi to the closed window, afterward Plagg disappeared inside the door to unlock it and Jin opened it back to walk to the fridge to see, what he should give the kwamis.
"Plagg, there you got a wrapped-up piece of Camembert and Longg, if you'd like I can offer you some fruit from the fruit salad," Mentioned Jin picking up one of the small bowls to put it on the counter. "if you can't eat everything, it's alright. I will take the rest," Noticed the boy earning a nod from the kwami, which flew down to pick up a strawberry.
"That sure looks delicious," Commented Yi looking at her kwami eating, then Jin placed his hand on the handle of the fridge.
"You can have one as well," Offered Jin, then heard the door handle of their apartment open up to show Jin's mother enter into the room, while on the phone.
"I'll see, what's going on. It's unlikely for Jin to skip school," Commented the mother making Jin gasp in shock realizing, that his mother might be phoning with any adult from school.
"Oh oh," Jin murmured, then watched the kwamis fly up on top of the fridge to leave their owners alone and it allowed them to look for a way to dodge the adult. Unluckily, the mother spotted the duo walk and faked a cough to earn their attention.
"I hope you two have a good explanation for why you two are here," Spoke the woman sternly making Jin and Yi exchange looks. "What are you doing out of the school times? You're supposed to be in school,"
"It's all my fault," Both teens said, then Yi stepped closer to the counter to face her mother's childhood friend.
"It's my fault. I needed help and called Jin's help. It happened to take way longer, than we expected," Yi made up, watching the woman cross her arms. "We had no other choice. We had to leave. It's obviously bad towards us still going to school, but…" Jin interrupted Yi by grabbing her on the shoulder and looked at her mother.
"We were doing, that what we thought was right. I know sometimes we had to skip school or waste studying time just to get things done,"
"I have no idea, what's more important than education. I want you two to immediately go back to school and apologize. After that, both of you return home and block each other's phone numbers and social media accounts. Jin, you are strictly prohibited to be around Yi ever again,"
"That's not even right. There are better punishments like social media ban. Total banning us to see each other is crazy. We weren't even messing around," Commented Yi making Jin nod.
"Then tell me, what you two were doing? What's more important, than your future?" Questioned the woman glaring at both teenagers, which exchanged looks worried about the threat.
"The future of Paris," Responded Jin, then his mother grabbed her son by his shoulders.
"Yes! Paris needs medical staff all over the place. That's what you have been talking about for the past three years. Don't blow, that off,"
"Not that future, I was referring to….I'm Onyx, one of the Parisian superheroes," Jin confessed making Yi drop her mouth surprised, while the mother stared perplexed at her son.
"You…you need to see a psychologist. You're talking nonsense," The woman said grabbing Jin by his arm, then Jin held his mother's arm with the other one.
"I know, it sounds crazy, but I can prove it," Jin mentioned, then looked up at the fridge, where the kwamis were and Plagg flew down to stand beside his holder. "With Plagg, I am able to turn into Onyx. Yi has her kwami as well, which makes her turn into Hydra. If you need to see proof…..Plagg, claws out," Jin spoke transforming into the cat-themed superhero. Yi exchanged looks with her kwami, which shrugged and Yi copied her boyfriend's deed to leave the woman astonished.
"We never said anything, cause the eventual knowledge could put us, our friends and family in would have been easier if we had all this info told, but if Hawk Moth ever came to the conclusion to akumatize someone, who knew our identities, things could go bad," Onyx explained to the shocked woman.
"You two….are insane. You have been in danger so many times. For such a long time…..how have I never noticed that?"
"Mom, I know it's a lot to take, but don't tell father or anyone else about it. It's already risky enough for you to know. Will you be able to hold it?"
"I could use a little time to get used to the knowledge. It's just…I had expected something…..teenage-like. Like, smoking weed, vandalism, or parties. This superhero story…..actually sounds more concerning to me,"
"Jin and I are safe. We always have each other's back and our suits protect us from injuries and heavy impacts. If it wasn't for that, we probably would have broken our legs at least once a month," Added Hydra making Onyx chuckle.
"She's right, it sounds crazy to think about the number of times, we're thrown against hard surfaces," Onyx mentioned, then watched his mother lean back on the counter to think about the issue.
"You two…..are used to all this?"
"I don't know, how to answer this question. We happened to receive the miraculous somehow, at least I did. I think that's like our fate. We have to stop Hawk Moth together, so everything can move on in life as before. We almost had him last year. We just had bad luck and he could escape. The only good thing was that the entire city knows now who he is and he won't easily show his face,"
"Be careful with those sorts of guys. They could really take away your life," Warned Jin's mother grabbing the superhero by his face. "You're my only kid in the household and I couldn't bear losing you,"
"We are mother, I promise," Stated Onyx leaning his forehead on his rather short mother.
