Chapter 16
When we get through the gate that leads to the Ruins of Alph, we are shocked to see what's going on here. Ethan says, "What the hell is going on here?"
"Look over here!" Kris says as we notice the flowers are turning into crystals. Officer Jenny and the news reporters then report about what is going on and we are still confused.
When we decide to head to the nearby Pokemon Center to check what's going on, my Mom and Professor Oak arrive. I gasp, "Mom?"
"What? You guys are here, too?" Professor Oak asks.
"It sure has been a while, Professor Oak." East says.
"I see you've been doing well, Ash." My Mom says.
"But what are you doing here?" I ask her, and she says, "It's about Professor Hale."
"Professor Hale?" I gasp, I know Professor Hale since he used to be a student study under Professor Oak. He was also there when the Summer Camp happened. "What happened to him?"
"That was his house." My Mom says as she refers to the two towers. "I'm very worried."
Just then, much to our surprise, an Entei just appears in front of us. Reisa says, "It's an Entei! What is it doing here?"
"Look!" East says, and we notice that the ground where Entei stepped on turns crystals. My Mom asks, "What do you want."
Much to our surprise, Entei just uses Hypnosis on my Mom, and then she falls to the ground with Entei taking her away. I yell, "Hey! Mom!"
Pikachu tries to use Thunderbolt on the Entei, but it doesn't seem to work. I can't let my Mom be taken, so I try to rush forward, but Lillie stops me and yells, "Don't go, Ash! You don't know what's in there!"
"I have to!" I kneel down with tears in my eyes, "Why... why did my Mom..."
"What is going on here? Your Mother is an Arceus! How the hell would she fall into Entei's Hypnosis? More importantly, can Entei even learn Hypnosis?" Reisa asks.
"I don't think it is Entei." Professor Oak speaks, and we look at him. He says, "It has to be the work of Unown."
"Unown?" Ethan asks. "But I heard that all it can learn is Hidden Power..."
"But they are mysterious, we don't know more about that species." Professor Oak replies.
Just then, we got a call from the Rotom Phone, and I recognized the girl. "Molly!"
"Molly?" The others are confused, and Molly says, "Papa and Mama came back to me. I'm happy. I want things to stay as they are! Nobody comes in!"
After the call ends, I say, "Molly is Professor Hale's daughter. She must be safe since she could send me a video mail..."
"But that was odd. Isn't her Dad missing?" Kris asks.
"And by Mama... I remember that Professor Hale's wife died from sickness a lot of years ago..." Lillie says.
It is obvious that she thinks my Mom is her mom, and that's why I can't let this continue. I rush outside with Pikachu and Togetic, Lillie yells, "Wait, Ash!"
"Don't try to stop me. My Mom was taken and I'm going to save her!" I say.
"We know, we're coming as well." East says and the others nod. I smile as we all head to the crystalized tower. We head to the mansion by walking through a small stream of water that is not crystallized. We then use our Pokemon to climb up the waterfall and head into the tower.
It is then Professor Oak calls us. "Are you guys all right? You guys are on TV!"
"We're sorry for not informing you, Professor." Reisa says.
"I'm not going to tell you to come back when you're already there. Just save your Mom and hurry back." Professor Oak says.
We nod and then he asks if we see any Unown, although we didn't see any, Professor Oak says, "Unown can sense the feelings of others. They can sense the feelings in the hearts of humans and turn them into reality."
"The feelings in the hearts?" Lillie asks.
"I have to assume that the Unown are reacting to what they're feeling from Molly's heart. The crystal tower and that Entei might be created from Unown reacting to their heart."
"I see..." I say. We use our Fire and Water pokemon to break the crystals that are blocking the path, but before it closes on, we quickly rush in and arrive at a hallway.
"That was close." Kris says.
We continue to walk and we notice that the stairway is distorted. "What the..." Ethan gasps.
"Is this the power of the Unown? The one that Professor Oak warned us about?" Reisa asks.
"It probably." East says.
"Either way, we've got to keep moving!" I say.
We continue forward until we reach a grassy field, Lillie asks, "This must be the imaginary world where the Unown created reacting to Molly's heart..."
But just as we continue further, we find Entei with a girl with the same age as us in front of us. "You're Pokemon trainers, right?"
"What do you want?" Then the girl jumps off Entei and says, "How about a battle?"
"I don't know who you are, but I don't have the time to do that right now." I say.
"You're so boring." The girl sighs.
"Hey, Entei! Where did you take my Mom?" I demand, but the girl says, "Only me and my parents are here!"
"That's right." Entei says.
"Wait, you're Molly?" Reisa gasps.
"Oh? So you know me?" Now we're shocked, I know Molly is 5 years younger than me, how the hell did she become the same age as us? Is this the Unown's doing?
"Are we gonna battle or not?" She asks, but Kris and Ethan decide to stay as they're going to be the ones battling her. We nod as we leave the two of them fighting Molly while heading forward.
We continue to climb the stairs, until we reach another world, which is actually near the beach. Molly's adult form appears once more, if I have to assume, she is not the real Molly, and neither is the one who's battling Ethan and Kris right now.
"So who's going to battle me now?" Molly asks. "I want to battle a stronger trainer."
Reisa and East are the ones who decide to battle her so that only leaves Lillie and me. When we're running, Lillie says, "Molly's real body must be with your mother."
"I know. We have to go as fast as we can." We notice the water is pouring over us, but much to our surprise, we can actually breathe. In the end, we finally reach Mom and Molly.
"Mom! Are you all right?" I ask.
"I'm fine. But you're still risking yourself as much as always." My Mom says to me.
"Can't blame me, I'm your son, and I'm sure that Dia, Palmer, and the others are the same." I say back. Lillie asks, "So Molly is asleep... but what about the Unown? Aren't they here?"
"If you mean the illusion Entei that brought me here, he left a while back." My Mom says. "That Entei caught me off guard by using the Hypnosis, but I already broke out the moment I arrive here."
"The tower and Entei are created by the Unown reacting to Molly's heart. We have to leave here." I say.
"We can't." My Mom says, much to our surprise. And at the same time, Molly wakes up and my Mom decides to tell her, "I'm not your real Mother, Molly. I'm Ash's mother, not yours. Your mother died a few years ago because of a heart attack."
Molly is shocked, I say, "Molly, do you remember us? We met in Pallet Town 4 years ago."
"Mama..." Molly mutters.
"We have to leave this place." My mom says. But Molly shakes her head, "No... I don't want to leave!"
Just then, much to our surprise, the crystals around us start to appear in spike forms, and we try to dodge the attacks. Lillie asks, "Ash! Ms Ketchum! Are you okay?"
"We're fine." My Mom says. But when we're trying to escape, Entei appears again and separates the two of us from my Mom.
"Mom!" I yell, then Entei yells, "Leave her and go!"
"I'd never do that! She's my mother!" I yell.
"She's Molly's mother here!" Entei replies. "You can't decide that on your own!" Lillie replies back.
"Get out! If you don't leave on your own, I'll make you leave!" Entei yells.
I grit my teeth and send out Slowking while Lillie sends out Croconaw. "So you wish to defeat me." Entei says.
"We are not going to lose to an illusion." Lillie replies. "Hydro Pump!" "Slowking! Water Pulse!"
Both Pokemon use their attacks, and Entei dodges and asks, "I'm an illusion, you say? Nonsense!"
It tries to use Sacred Fire, hitting both of our Pokemon. We return them and I say, "We'll play fire with fire! Houndour!"
"Quilava!" Then we send out two Pokemon, and both of them go for Flamethrower, but both of them are still defeated.
"That power is insane." Lillie gasps.
"So are you still saying I'm an illusion?" Entei demands, and I say, "You're just an illusionary Entei created by Molly's heart!"
"No!" Molly yells, and Entei roars, and stomps the ground as a blizzard starts to blow inside of the mansion. The crystal pillars grow larger, and the Unown's red light grows bigger.
We quickly use Protect when it tries to hit us with Flamethrower. Lillie and I quickly use Hydro Pump, but Lillie being an aura user is immediately overpowered and knocks back to the crystal.
"Lillie!" I yell in horror, and my Mother also breaks out of the crystals using a Rock Slide. She says, "Molly, do you remember? Your real Papa and Mama?"
Molly starts to hesitate, and I continue to use Earth Power, hitting Entei, but Entei is aiming for Pikachu with the Fire Blast.
"Pikachu!" Lillie and I quickly rush towards Pikachu, but the impact causes the two of us to fall off the tower. Before Lillie can use her Flying Winds from her aura and before I can use my Sky Plate, we are saved by two Charizards.
"Charizard!" "Charla!" We gasp in delight.
Then they bring us back to the ground, and we notice that my Mom was shielding Molly from the impact. She turns to Molly and asks, "Are you all right?"
Molly just steps back before noticing us battling Entei. Entei asks, "Who are they?"
"They're our friends!" I reply. "My Pokemon are all friends that I made during my journey!"
"It doesn't matter how many you have." Both Charizards are trying to attack Entei, but Entei uses a Headbutt to send them backward. It crashes onto me and just before I'm going to fall, Reisa, East, Kris, and Ethan arrive and they grab my hands.
"Guys! You're here!" I gasp. Lillie then turns to Molly and says, "Come on, Molly. Come with us."
Then the illusionary Pokemon appears and she says, "My friends are here! Go away!"
Then Entei attacks once more, but we have Charizard repel the attacks. My mom says, "Do you really think you can be Molly's real father?"
"As long as she wishes it, I will be Molly's father." Entei replies before continuing to attack us. Charla and Charizard are struggling with the attacks, but they are still hanging on. Lillie and I are fighting as well, and we make sure not to fall from the sky again.
"Entei! Please! Listen to us!" Lillie says. "If you really care about Molly, then listen to me!"
But Entei refuses to listen and he still attacks us. I say, "You can't stay here with Molly! It's just wrong!"
Then we dodge the attack and he says, "Even if it is wrong, I will grant Molly's wishes!" Another clash of Fire Blast and Flamethrower ignites a frightening explosion. Entei uses Fire Blast once more, hitting Charizard and Charla, sending them crashing through the ceiling and back onto the floor of the room.
"If you keep her here, she'll always be alone!" I yell back, but Entei uses Extrasensory to strike us to the ground. Before he can finish us off, Molly yells, "Stop it!"
Entei stops and Molly says, "Stop, Papa... No more!"
Kris says, "Molly, we lost to you. Your Phanpy's Rollout was really strong!"
"Your Mantine's Whirlpool as well." East says. "You could be a gym leader one day."
Lillie adds, "After a battle is over, those of us who love Pokemon, we're all friends."
I smile, "Let's go outside. Even if you fight when we're outside, we can still make friends."
Molly looks at us, and then our Mom, who nods at her. She reaches out to my Mom's hands, and says, "It's warm..."
Then the crystalized pillars start disappearing and the Pokémon she battled with disappear. Entei turns around and says, "I become your father to make you happy. If your happiness lies in the outside world... I..."
Suddenly, havoc erupts as crystal spikes emerge everywhere, posing a threat to everyone. My Mom says, "We should leave. The Unown have lost control of their psychic energy."
Just then, Entei creates a pathway to the stairs so that we can exit through the hole that we came in through. Amid the dangerous crystal spikes and destabilizing surroundings, we continue running down the stairs.
We arrive at the hall containing the Unown, and we also hear from Professor Oak that they're trying to evacuate everyone from the Ruins of Alph. I try to reach the Unown, but we're bounced back by the protective barrier. Charizard and Charla try to break through but with the same result. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, but it also cannot break through. Even when Pikachu and Charizard use Thunderbolt and Flamethrower together, the barrier forces them back.
It is then Entei uses Flamethrower to create the pathway so we can get through the Unown. "Molly. I'm glad that I got to be your father. The last thing I can do for you is to get you out of this place! I was born from your dreams. So if you believe in it, there's nothing I can't do."
Then Entei tries to break the barrier but is bounced back. It uses Flamethrower to try to breakthrough, but that also fails. Entei again tries to run and break through the barrier, asking Molly to help.
"Molly, you have to believe in Entei! That your Entei can't lose!" I say to her, and she starts to yell, "You can do it, Papa!"
With Pikachu, Charizard, and Charla helping, Entei manages to break through the barrier and the ball of light around which the Unown swarmed. The bright light shines upon everyone, then dims to reveal Entei in a green aura.
"Papa..." Molly mutters.
"Thank you for calling me Papa. I'll go back to your dreams." Then Entei crystallizes and disappears. The letter tiles fall to the ground and glow blue as the Unown disappear into a portal. But not all of them since Lillie and I managed to capture one. As the portal closes, a wave is released which disperses the crystal and restores the mansion and the Ruins of Alph to normality.
We all head out of the mansion and see the place returning to normal, and then much to our surprise, my Dad and Professor Oak bring some people to the place. My Dad rushes to my Mom and asks, "Aurora, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, Adam. So what about Professor Hale?" She asks.
My Dad frowns and says, "He got caught in an accident in the Ruins of Alph according to one of his assistants, he sacrificed himself for their safety."
We gasped and frowned, the one who couldn't take it well was Molly, but my Mom hugged her and said, "If that's the case, how about living with us? Molly?"
Molly looks at my parents with surprise, my Mom continues, "We can't replace your birth parents, but we can be your parents if you want to."
Then Molly nods before giving them a hug. We also smile before I decide to look at the Pokeball containing Unown.
Unown: The Symbol Pokemon. Psychic and Chemical Type. Because different types of Unown exist, it is said that they must have a variety of abilities.
The Entei movie was good, and Charizard went back is the most shocked thing when I first saw it. Now that it ends, the next chapter will continue their journey.
