(This chapter is based on Darkblade featuring Evie with some changes)
Evie walked into the family apartment. It had been a long day at school.
To make matters worse, Hawkmoth sent another Akuma.
"Hi, Mum," Evie said. "I'm home."
"How was school?" Her Mum asked as she gave her daughter a cuddle.
"It was good. The class rep elections are starting tomorrow," Evie replied.
"Thats nice. Are you going to run?" Her Mum asked.
"No, I haven't been at the school long enough," Evie replied. "I'm not really interested in being part of the student rep team anyway."
The following day, Evie arrived at school. She took her seat next to Nathaniel in Miss Bustier's class.
"Chloe is running for the class representative position and Sabrina will be her deputy. Do we have any other candidates?" Miss Bustier asked.
Evie noticed that some of the people in her class looked hesitant about putting their hands up. Kim was one of them.
"Alright, I will give all of you till the end of lunch to decided it you would like to be a candidate," Miss Bustier said as the bell rang.
At lunch, Evie went to find Caragh.
"Are you going to run for class rep?" Evie asked.
"Yeah. I wish that you could be my deputy but we are not in the same class," Caragh said.
"It's a shame. How many are running?" Evie asked.
"Four others, I think," Cargah replied.
"Oh, Chloe's the only one from my class that's running," Evie said.
"Chloe has been the class rep for the past two years. Why don't you run?" Caragh asked.
"I haven't been here long enough," Evie replied.
"I don't think that matters. Anyone can apply," Caragh said.
"I'm not really interested in the role. The other schools I have been to had similar roles," Evie said. "I never put my name down for them."
"How many schools have you been to?" Caragh asked.
"Well, I think four schools. I don't really remember the exact number," Evie replied. "My dad works for a global newspaper with offices in several different countries. He gets the opportunity to move around and work out of different offices."
"Cool. What other cities have you been to?" Caragh asked.
"Glasgow, London, Washington DC, New York and a couple of others that I can't remember," Evie replied.
"I don't know how long we will be in Paris."
Evie walked into class and took her seat. Nathaniel joined her.
"Are you going to run for class rep?" Evie asked.
"Nope, what about you?" Nathaniel replied as more students entered the classroom.
"No, I'm not going to," Evie said.
Miss Bustier waited until everyone had sat down before speaking to the class.
Are there any new candidates who would like to run against Chloe and Sabrina?" Miss Bustier asked.
Evie hoped that someone would put their hand up but no one did.
"Given that Chloe and Sabrina are the only candidates there's no point in voting," Miss Bustier said as she was about to name them the class reps.
"I'll run" Marinette called out at the last minute.
"Wonderful. You will need to develop your campaign and have a speech ready by tomorrow. We'll have the vote then," Miss Bustier said. "Please open your books to page 50 and will start the lesson."
After school, Evie found Marinette and Alya.
"So, lets here the scoop on your campaign. How are you going to represent?" Alya asked.
"I'm not sure. I didn't think that I would put my hand up," Marinette replied.
"I'm glad you did," Evie said. "Caragh told me about Chloe and her threats. You stood up to her once, I knew that you would do it again."
The other students from the class start to come and talk to Marinette. Evie left.
Evie went home after school. She was supposed to meet Caragh but she hadn't finished her speech for class rep.
"Mum, are you home?" Evie called out as she entered to apartment. Her Mum wasn't home.
Evie took her phone out a checked it for new messages. She was only checking to see if her Mum had messaged her when a message from Chloe appeared. It was an invite to her election launch campaign at City Hall.
"Chloe takes it too far sometimes," Evie thought to herself.
Evie didn't know why she showed up at Chloe's event. It seemed that most of her class had come to the event.
"I'm pleased to welcome you all to the official launch of Chloe's electoral campaign. And a special thank you to world famous star Jagged Stone for endorsing her," Mayor Bourgeois said.
"And when you vote for me, you'll get free tickets to Jagged's next concert," Chloe added.
Evie watched as Marinette walked into the event. She walked over to her.
"Bribery isn't the correct way to win votes. I don't understand how she gets way with so much," Evie said.
"It's because her father is the Mayor. I've known Chloe a long time, she uses her father's status to get what she wants," Marinette said.
"It's wrong," Evie said. "Use this opportunity to ensure that your voice is heard as well."
"Evie's right, Marinette," Alya added.
"Do you realise that you're all being bribed? Concert tickets are awesome but they aren't gonna solve classroom problems," Marinette said as she walked over to where the class was standing.
"So, what's your campaign then, Marinette?" Nathaniel asked.
"Well, uh, I'm thinking cushions would be more realistic than buying chairs. And I'll ask about listening to music in the library. Through headphones of course," Marinette replied.
"Remarkable. You actually sound like a class rep. Too bad you don't have a chance of winning." Chloe said sarcastically. "A word?"
Chloe pulled Marinette behind a pillar. Evie didn't know what happened between Chloe and Marinette but a few seconds later, an anxious-looking Marinette came out from behind the pillar. Chloe and Sabrina followed. Then a trumpet sounded.
"What was that?" Evie asked.
The door to city hall opened and outside was a group of knights.
"O-ye o-ye Darkblade shalt speak now. Listen or be imprisoned."
Darkblade wore a full suit of dark grey armour some of the armour was light grey with dark grey stripes. The visor on his helmet had four red leaf-shaped marks. He also had a large silver sword with a silver and dark grey striped hilt and a dark grey blade with red lines making a design on each side.
"Henceforth my flag shalt fly over thy kingdom. Bourgeois, pathetic knave come hither and do battle" Darkblade said. Evie didn't have any idea who the akumatized person was.
"What did he say?" Mayor Bourgeois asked.
"Basically, he's gonna bust you up," Alya said.
"As my secretary for an appointment," Mayor Bourgeois said.
The class including Evie helped to close the doors.
"Chloe, what should we do?" Rose asked after a few minutes. The knights were trying to force their way into city hall. "What would a class rep do?"
"Well, if indeed you vote for me, I'll provide you with an answer. Tomorrow," Chloe replied.
"But we can't wait until tomorrow," Rose told her.
"Then you're out of luck. You will have to ask someone else," Chloe said.
Evie quietly slipped away from her classmates and found an empty office room. Her Kwami flew out of her bag.
"Do you know what your going to do?" Starr asked.
"I can't be Evie and Snow Leopard at the same time," Evie said.
"You have to trust yourself to make the right decision," Starr said.
Evie decided that she would help her classmates first. Marinette was already taking control of things.
"Kim, Ivan, lock the doors. Make sure all the windows are closed too, quickly. Nino, Juleka, Rose, Mylene, Evie and Alya come with me," Marinette said.
The class helped to place things in front of the doors. The knights kept trying to get inside.
"It's time to retreat. Sir, we've got to get out of here," Marinette said.
"Of course. Come this way," The Mayor said.
"Ill catch up with you guys. I'll make sure all the windows are shut," Marinette said.
"I'll help," Evie said.
Once she was sure that Marinette had left, Evie let Starr out of her bag.
"Starr, Blend in," Evie said and she transformed into Snow Leopard.
Evie arrived just as Ladybug saved Chat Noir from a group of knights.
"Sorry, I was busy doing damage control inside," Ladybug said.
"Same," Evie added.
"I had it under control but it's always nice to see you two," Chat Noir said.
The knights kept trying to reach the roof.
"Why are they going on the roof?" Chat Noir wondered.
"The flag," Evie said. "We can't let him replace the flag."
The three heroes tried to stop Darkblade from replacing the flag but they didn't manage it.
"Villains. Thou impress me not. By the blade of darkness, I hereby declare all peoples of this kingdom are henceforth mine" Darkblade said as he put the flag in the hole. Darkness surrounded them and the sky turned black. "Bow to King Darkblade"
The darkness travelled through Paris, turning people into Knights.
"We are about to become nights?" Chat Noir said.
Ladybug used her Lucky Charm and got a wind-up toy ladybug.
"Lets hope Darkblade ticklish," Ladybug said.
Evie and Chat Noir distract Darkblade so that Ladybug can use her Lucky Charm. Darkblade starts laughing and drops his sword. Chat Noir picked it up and threw it to Ladybug. Ladybug broke the sword, freeing the Akuma.
"No more evil doing for you little akuma," Ladybug said as she opened her Yo-Yo. "Time to de-evilize." She then captured the akuma and then released the purified butterfly. "Bye bye, little butterfly."
Ladybug threw her Lucky Charm into the air.
"Pound it," The three heroes said.
Chat Noir looks at his ring. "Uh, gotta take off, see ya."
Ladybug and Evie (Snow Leopard) smile at each other before going their separate ways.
Once Evie had transformed back she went to join the rest of her classmates.
"Did you get transformed into a knight as well?" Alya asked. "Marinette and Adrian did."
"Yeah," Evie replied as she walked down the stairs in city hall. She stood next to Alya.
In front of her, Marinette walked over to Chloe and Sabrina.
"Now that this is all over, I want my personal items back," Marinette said.
"I really have no idea what you're talking about," Chloe said.
Sabrina shoved Chloe aside and held out her hand that had a box attached to it. "Oh, please take it off." Marinette took out a key and used it to open the box, freeing Sabrina's hand.
"Nobody likes a liar and a thief, Chloe," Evie said.
"I never took her dairy and I'm offended that you're accusing me" Chloe snapped.
"Then how did you even know that my diary was in here" Marinette asked.
"Sabrina told me. It was all her idea" Chloe replied.
"So uncool," Nino said.
"At least now we know nobody will be voting for Chloe. You're gonna be a new representative," Alya said.
"Not so fast, Alya," Marinette told her and turned to face the rest of the class.
"Quitting already Marinette" Chloe asked.
"Not yet. I just wanna be voted in fairly, not because you don't want to vote for Chloe, but because you believe in me. I'm not gonna make promises that I can't keep and I'm not gonna be able to get you everything that you want. But I am resourceful and I know how to prioritise. I'm a good listener and a great multi tasker. Representing you is something I truly believe in. And most importantly, I believe in myself. So, Vote for Marinette for class representative," Marinette said.
"Awesome speech, Marinette," Evie told her. The other students clapped and Chloe stormed off.
At School, the votes are counted up and Miss Bustier stands at the front of the classroom.
"By majority vote, Marinette is the new class representative and Alya will be her deputy" Miss Bustier announced.
After class, Evie met Caragh, and she told her what happened yesterday.
"I can't believe Chloe used Sabrina to steal Marinette's personal items. I bet she doesn't even get punished for it," Caragh said.
"I know, I'm just glad that Marinette found her confidence to stand up for what she believed in," Evie said.
