Author's Notes: Oh boy, we're at these two episodes… These episodes are where Sean's presence may have made things a bit juicier. This is gonna be a two-in-one, I feel like I owe you guys a longer chapter. Especially with how short most chapters have been. We all know what this episode is in Emma's arc. How bad decisions lead her down the path of darkness. Would Sean being there have made these events happen? Probably not. However, it needs to happen with the story I'm telling and how Sean's future is shaping up in this timeline. How will that work? Well… you'll have to read and find out.
This is the most ambitious party of the story I'm telling and where I stand to lose some people. If I do, I do apologize. If you're willing to stay and read this mad woman's ravings, thank you and I appreciate the love.
Disclaimer: I own absolutely nothing. I'm just having fun.
With all that said, this is Secret Part 1 & 2
As the rehearsal for the play occurs, Sean walks out of the guys' dressing room where he catches Jay putting his hands on Emma. He was about to say something when J.T. called out for Emma for her cue as one of the Three sisters.
When Emma went on stage, Sean grabbed Jay by the shoulder and turned him halfway so he would face him. "Dude, what are you doing?"
"Nothing. I was just messing with her." Jay told his friend.
Sean scoffs "Yeah, right."
Emma looked back at where Jay was but she now saw Jay AND Sean standing there. She looks away as Sean lets go of Jay and walks off.
Jay however looks at her with ill intent in mind.
[Opening Credits]
Emma was walking out of Mr. Perino's class with Sean in the background, getting his belongings. Sean looks up and hears Mr. Perino chastize Emma.
"I know you went through a lot after the shooting," Perino said as Sean walked to the exit. "But the grace period is coming to an end. Okay?"
Emma quietly agrees as she walks off down the hall.
Sean walks past Perino who says "Good job, Sean. Keep it up."
"Umm… thank you, sir."
Sean follows Emma down the hall as the PA announces the school play Castle Dracula. He taps Emma on the shoulder to get her out of her tunnel vision.
"Sean, hey." She said softly.
"You okay?" he asked.
"I'm really getting sick of people asking me that," Emma said in a frustrated tone.
"I was talking about Jay. I saw him messing with you during rehearsal." Sean points out, which puts Emma at ease. "If he does that again, let me know so I can knock some sense into him."
Emma smiles. "I think it might be a little late for that."
"I gotta meet Ellie for lunch." Sean begins to walk off as he calls out. "The offer still stands."
Emma watches him leave, a smile on her face. She continues walking and makes a turn where she sees Jay and Alex making out in the hallway.
Jay glances at Emma with a lustful look in his eyes until Alex looks up and sees Emma. "Why don't you take a picture, it last longer."
"You can sell it online for the big porno bucks." Alex chimed in with her classic charm.
Emma stares off and walks past the two, choosing to ignore the comment.
Alex continues to nuzzle Jay's neck but his attention is now focused on the departing Emma.
Ellie walks away from Ashley and Craig just as Sean walks out of the school to find her. He goes over to her and she's surprised to see him. "Hey, I thought you weren't going to show."
"Sorry, the play's been keeping me busy," Sean told her.
"I'm surprised an understudy is pretty important," Ellie said as she handed him a drink.
"It's really important… At least that Liberty says." Sean said which made Ellie chuckle. "I'm also helping Jay with building the sets… and making sure he's keeping his hands to himself."
"Gee, Jay being a pervert, imagine my shock," Ellie said sarcastically.
"He's with Alex but he's flirted with girls behind her back," Sean informed her. "I want to tell her but-"
"Is this that stupid guy code crap?" Ellie asked.
"...I'm not proud of it," Sean stated. "I'm worried about who he's focusing on backstage."
"Who's he focusing on? Manny?" Ellie said mild bitterness in her voice.
Sean shakes his head. "Emma. Jay's been interested in her."
"Emma? Really?" Ellie asked. "And she hasn't told him to piss off."
"I thought she would have but… Emma hasn't been the same since the shooting. I offered to help her but she isn't too keen on me helping her." He said.
"You don't have to be Emma's knight in shining armor. Emma can handle things better than you think." Ellie informed Sean. "She could seek some help with dealing with her feelings. It worked wonders on you."
"That's even she wants to help herself. We both had that gun pointed at our faces, that kind of stuff sticks with you." Sean explained.
"Is that why you haven't fully explained what's Craig's deal?" She asked.
"It's not my business to pass that stuff around. He's my friend and I don't want to violate his trust or anything." He explained to his girlfriend.
"And yet you want to get involved in Emma's business?" Ellie asked, mild jealousy bubbling up.
"El, for the umpteenth time, Emma and I are done. Finished." Sean pointed out. "I know it's hard to believe because of the history I have with Emma but I'm trying not to get involved. I'm sure that she-"
Just then, J.T. ran over to the two of them. He looks like he's in a panic and grabs Sean by the shoulders. "Thank God I found you!"
"What is it, J.T.? You look like you've seen a ghost." Sean teased but he noticed J.T.'s expression didn't change. "What's wrong, man? What happened?"
"Question: how much of Dracula's lines do you have memorized?" J.T. asked.
"Most of them but I thought Nate was playing Dracula," Sean said as Ellie listened.
"Nate's got mono. We need you to fill in as Dracula." J.T. begged Sean. "Please tell me you can remember them before opening night?"
Sean looks at Ellie who has an amused grin on her face. "I don't know."
"If you don't, there's no show at all and Liberty will kill me." J.T. pleaded.
Sean groans and relents. "Okay, fine. I'll be your Dracula."
J.T. hugs Sean awkwardly. "You are awesome. Thank you." He runs excitedly back into the school as Sean and Ellie turn to look at each other.
"Guess there's only one thing I can say is… congratulations," Ellie said in a mostly deadpan tone.
Sean seems a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of being the show's star. A sense of dread washed over him.
[This scene takes place after the disaster that was Darcy's performance as Mina and quitting the show]
Sean is sitting in the boys' dressing room, reading through the script. He tries to memorize his lines intently as Jay walks into the room.
"Looks like you might not have to learn those lines after all." Jay teased as Danny walked into the room.
"Why not?" Sean asked, setting down the script.
"Our leading lady decided to quit the show," Danny said in a snide tone.
"Darcy quit? Seriously?" Sean said, looking mildly dejected.
"It's not all bad. Means you got your after-school time back." Jay said. "Why don't we use it wisely? A lot of us are gonna be partying at Bennett Park if you're interested."
Sean raises an eyebrow and picks up his script. "I'm good. Thanks."
Jay just frowns and walks out of the room. "Your loss."
"Can I come?" Danny said in a jovial manner only for Jay to push him away dismissively.
Sean continues to read his script, ignoring the temptation from the snake.
[This scene takes place after the scene with Craig and Ellie at the therapy group]
As Emma is walking home, a car slowly approaches her. She turned to see it was a sapphire blue Toyota MR2. It looked like a used car that had been worked on but still wasn't done yet. Emma saw the car roll down its driver-side window and she got a good look and saw it was Sean driving.
"Hey, you need a ride?" Sean asked.
"Are you following me or something?" Emma asked, a look of mild annoyance on her face.
Sean laughs. "I just got back from dropping off Ellie at group when I saw ya. If you need a ride home, I don't mind."
Emma sighed, she knew how persistent Sean could be. She relents and gets into his car. "You remember where I-"
"Unless you guys moved, I'm pretty sure I know where you live, Em," Sean reassured her in a playful tone.
Emma blushed at his smile. She had forgotten how cute his smile was. "Thanks." She fixes the seatbelt. "When did you get a car?"
"A couple of weeks ago. Mr. Jeremiah hooked me up after I helped him with Craig. Said he owed me one." Sean said.
"Oh," Emma said softly. "It's a nice car."
"Will be even better once I make a few mods. Jay said he'd give me a hand when the play's done." He answered.
Emma winced at the mention of Jay's name. "Oh. Right. You guys still hanging out?"
"Less frequently but yeah. Been busy with school and therapy. Now the play. Who would've thought I'd get so involved with after-school activities after grade 7." Sean joked as he started the car. "He invited me to this party at Bennet Park. Told him no thanks. Have to run lines."
Emma raises an eyebrow at Jay's plans for the evening then she clears her throat. "I have to admit, you are a diligent understudy,"
"Not anymore," Sean said which caught her attention. "I didn't quit. Nate got mono and I'm replacing him as Dracula."
"That's great," Emma said excitedly.
Sean laughs. "For you maybe. For me, it's being a terrible actor in front of more people. This time with more lines."
"You aren't that bad. Manny says you're good." Emma said encouragingly.
"If you say so," Sean replied. "Now let's go. Don't want your parents to freak."
Emma nods as he drives her home
After a quick trip through the neighborhood, Sean pulls up to the Simpson/Nelson residence. The two exchange glances and Emma smiles at him. "Thanks for the ride."
"Any time." He told her. "Listen, if you need to talk or… whatever. I'm here."
Emma's smile drops. He was doing it too. "Sure."
"Do me a favor?" Sean asked and Emma nodded. "Stay away from Jay. The dude's being extra creepy and I don't want him to-"
"I'll be fine. See ya later?" Emma said and Sean nodded. She got out of the car and went inside.
Sean stares back for a while at the door. He was unable to shake the paranoia of what Jay might do. He sighs and drives off as Emma tells her parents Sean was the one who drove her home after they tried to get her to open up.
[This scene takes place after the scene where Craig confronts Ashley about "telling" Ellie about his condition]
Sean is sitting next to Alex in their rehearsal gear on stage. Sean now sporting a cape as J.T. walks in with Emma who was wearing Mina's rehearsal outfit.
"All right, everyone. Put your fangs together for Emma." J.T. announced as Emma goes to the middle of the stage. "Let's jump right to the deep end with Act Two Scene Seven."
Sean gets up and notices Emma and Jay share a passing glance as he takes his spot for the scene. He has a feeling something is off. He shakes it for a moment as Emma gets in her cue on the couch.
"And go," J.T. announced for them to start the scene.
Sean got into character and got on the stage. "When my brain says come to you, you shall cross land or sea to do my bidding, and to that end…" He turns to face Emma who did her best to stay in character. She had never seen Sean do something like this before. "This." He extends his hand to 'Mina' who walks to him.
"But no… I cannot." Emma recited the lines. She looks at Sean and behaves as if she is under Dracula's thrall. Sean stares into her eyes and goes for the stage kiss but Emma pulls away giggling.
"Emma…" J.T. began as Sean got out of character and laughed to himself at the awkward moment. "The script says you kiss him. So kiss him."
"Cut her some slack, J.T. We used to date, it's a little awkward." Sean defended Emma.
"Awkward or not, you two have to kiss," J.T. replied annoyed.
"I'm sorry." Emma apologized "It's just weird doing this in front of everybody."
Alex and Amy watched this off-stage with judgmental and snide glances. Jay looks down to not stare at Emma or Sean.
"It's not real. There's no fourth wall. Right now, you're not Sean and Emma. You're Mina Harker and Count Dracula." J.T. replied then he looked at his girlfriend. "Next time, Liberty? Unionized actors."
"Sorry, I'll get it by tomorrow, okay?" Emma told them. "I promise."
"Fine, tomorrow," J.T. replied. "Don't let me down."
Emma nods as Sean just grins to himself. He knew how hard this was on Emma.
"We got this." He whispers to her which makes her smile.
"Okay, set change for scene one. Go."
Sean turned his head as he got off stage to see Emma and Jay exchange a knowing glance as he changed the set. He notices how Emma stares at Jay and he doesn't like it one bit.
[This scene takes place after the scene in the girls' dressing room where Emma shows off her 'prize' to Amy]
Sean walks over to Jay and pushes him against a wall which catches Jay by surprise. "The hell do you think you're doing?" he asked his friend.
"Trying to do my lame job," Jay answered as he lightly shoved Sean off. "The hell is your damage?"
"Is there something going on with you and Emma?" Sean asked.
"If there was, why do you care?" Jay said. "You're with Nash-"
"And you're with Alex. Don't think she'd like it if you were flirting with someone else." Sean threatened.
"And I don't think Big Red would appreciate her boyfriend defending the honor of someone who isn't her." Jay threatened back as he walked off.
Sean glares at his departing friend as he tries to regain his composure.
[This scene takes place after Ashley and Craig make up after their fight]
Sean was reading through his lines as Ellie walked through the front door. He looks up at her and smiles. "Hey? How'd it go with Craig?"
"Good. We worked stuff out. Got him to talk to Ash. All good." Ellie assured him.
Sean sets down the script and sighs. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Craig. He wanted to keep it quiet-"
Ellie puts her hands up in a reassuring manner. "It's fine. Craig's your friend. Don't think he would've wanted you to tell me."
"I think me going to therapy is helping me be a bit more understanding because of that," Sean said. "Don't wanna force it."
"I know," Ellie said as she hugged him. "What about you? How was rehearsal?"
"It was fine. There was this awkward moment with Emma-"
"Wait, I thought you two were okay?" She asked.
"We are… but we have to do this kiss for the play-" He began as Ellie raised an eyebrow. "Did I forget to tell you that Emma's playing Mina now?"
Ellie nods and playfully hits him. "You're lucky I'm not the jealous type."
"It's just a stage kiss. Playing pretend, okay?" Sean told her and Ellie nodded. "Besides, that's not why I'm worried."
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"I-I think there might be something going on with Jay and Emma," Sean replied.
Ellie stares back at her boyfriend. A look of concern for him and Emma.
[Which would lead to a cut to Emma sneaking back home, her talking to Snake and Spike, and the end of Part 1]
Secret Part 2
Sean was holding a garment bag with his costume as he stopped next to Emma who was watching Jay kiss Alex the night after their night together. "Hey, Em. Did J.T. say where we're supposed to leave our costumes?"
Emma sees him and instinctively grabs his shirt collar and plants a kiss on the lips. She gives Jay a side eye as he seems a bit jealous.
Sean instantly backs away in shock as he looks at Emma. "What was that, Em?"
Snake and Manny saw this and were shocked and worried at the sight of this.
"I was acting," Emma told him. "Just kissing all my nerves out pre-dress rehearsal. I'll wait for my cue next time."
"Ummm… okay," Sean said as he wiped his mouth.
As Emma walks off down the hall, Sean turns to look at Jay who simply walks off. He then shares a look with Manny who was almost proud of Emma smooching Sean. The expression he gave her made Manny's smile fade.
[The next scene takes place after the one where Snake tries to get Emma to open up but just rejects him]
Sean is at his locker where Ellie is standing next to him. She was angry and we all know why. "She just kissed you?"
"Yeah, and before you ask, no I didn't kiss her back," Sean told his girlfriend.
"She's lucky I'm not the jealous type otherwise I'd yank that pretty blond hair off her head." Ellie threatened.
"For 'not being the jealous type' you certainly sound like it," Sean said as he shut his locker. "The kiss meant nothing, El. If anything, it might be a sign that there's more going on with her and Jay than I thought."
"The girl needs help," Ellie told him as they walked down the hall.
"I'll talk to her," Sean reassured her.
"What if she doesn't want to talk?" Ellie asked.
"Then I'll do the next best thing… talk to her best friend," Sean replied.
Ellie grimaced. "You have to talk to Manny?"
Sean looks at her and smiles. "Sure you're not the jealous type?"
Ellie rolls her eyes as they continue off down the hall.
[The next bit plays out like the episode where Jimmy's dad tells Jimmy he can't go home then comes the dress rehearsal scene]
"May 16th… Castle Dracula is a virtual prison…" Danny is going through his scene as the rehearsal is going off with full costumes and scenery at the ready.
Emma and Manny, in full costume, watch off-stage while Manny whispers to her friend. "I think you almost gave Sean a heart attack with that kiss."
Emma smirks at the statement. "Anything for the theatre."
Liberty shushes them as they were interrupting the rehearsal.
Manny looks at Sean who is on stage in full Dracula costume, waiting for his cue then she looks at Emma. "I need complete teen-girl details. You need to bring those over tonight."
"I have to go to the ravine tonight. I'm meeting some people." Emma told her.
J.T. glares at the two and says "Is it too much to ask for silence in the peanut gallery?"
"There in the moonlight were three young women…" Danny said as Amy and the other bride walked onto the stage. He looks at J.T. "Three?"
J.T. sighs and stands from the table. "Am I ever gonna get three of them?"
"Alex is at the doctors. She should be back." Amy told him.
And right on cue, an incensed Alex rushed into the auditorium with a panicked Jay close behind her. She was pissed off for a damn good reason.
"Lexi, it was nothing. Come on." Jay insisted.
" 'Lexi' is later her scene." J.T. quipped.
"You want a scene, J.T.?" Alex shouted as she turned to Amy. "Hey, 'Best Friend Amy', let's give J.T. a scene." With that, she decks Amy in the face which causes Amy to fall and Sean to catch her before she hits the floor. "Tell me about the ravine, Amy! About how you went down on my boyfriend, Amy! And the bracelets you got for it."
As this goes on, Emma goes to take off her bracelets which Manny notices. She then looks at Sean who meets her gaze. They both have an idea of what is going on.
"I didn't sleep with him!" Amy answered back.
"By whose definition?" Alex spat back as Jay jumped on stage to calm Alex down.
"Come outside, Alex." He replied.
Alex whirls around and faces her soon-to-be ex. "Don't touch me. Don't talk to me. I'll deck your smug face too."
Jay looks past Amy at Sean who glares at his friend. He was slowly putting the pieces together. He turns away to look at Emma who was also staring at him.
[After Emma denies and belittles Manny over what she did with Jay]
Manny watches her friend leave as she turns to see Sean standing behind her. She seems surprised by this but says nothing until he does.
"I think you and I need to compare notes," Sean said sternly.
Manny nods as she walks with Sean towards his car.
[After the scene where Jimmy shares his plans with Craig and Marco about sneaking out of the hospital and going to the concert.]
Sean and Manny are at The Dot and are both having a serious conversation about Emma. "So, that's it? She's been sneaking off with Jay?"
"I guess. Probably the same thing Amy was doing with him." Manny replied. "But why? She has more sense than that."
"I think- Think the shooting affected her more than we thought." Sean estimated. "Look, we all reacted differently to what happened. Trust me, I know what it's like to have that fester in your head."
"But you got help. Couldn't that work with Emma?" Manny asked.
"That's her choice. She has to want to get help." Sean replied. "It's not too late for her… but if we're not careful, we're gonna lose her."
"So, what do we do?" Manny asked.
"Well, for now, nothing. We just need to keep an eye on things and if it gets bad, we talk to Mr. S," Sean suggested.
"That's not a bad idea," Manny replied as she looked at her phone. "I have to get home."
"Do you want a lift?" Sean asked as she got up from her seat.
Manny looks at him. "Does Ellie know about this little meeting we're having?"
Sean smirks at her. "Yes… and unfortunately she knows about the peck Emma gave me."
"Then it's not a good idea to give me a ride home," Manny said as she headed for the door. "I'll see you at school tomorrow."
Sean nods as Manny fully exits The Dot.
[After the scene where Emma apologizes to Jay which leads to the scene in Mr. Pernino's class}
Sean, J.T., and Emma hurry to class as they see a nurse in the front of the classroom.
"Public Health Nurse?" JT. replied as the students got in their seats. "Oh, goody. Another evil omen to put me at calm."
The nurse, Mrs. Banerjee, started to speak to the class. "Show of hands, Oral sex is safer than regular intercourse?"
A few of the students raised their hands except for Manny, Emma, and Sean. (Sean was in the seat behind Manny instead of a random student.)
"We think there's been a mini outbreak here at Degrassi of this." She points at the board next to her to Gonorrhea.
"Gonorrhea?" Manny blurted out which made some students look at her. "Sorry. Did I say that out loud?"
"It's not a very nice word, is it? Gonorrhea." Mrs. Banerjee asked. "And how do you know if you have gonorrhea?" She shows off the chart with the symptoms. "Some symptoms are genital discharge, bleeding, burning. Orally, you might get a fever or a sore throat."
J.T. looks at Emma and remembers her scratchy throat. "Hey Em, you got something to tell us?"
"Shut up." Emma snapped at him.
Manny looks at her and then back at Sean who now looks very worried.
"And sometimes those with the disease show no symptoms at all." Mrs. Banerjee explained. "Lucky, you might think. Think again. Untreated, gonorrhea can cause arthritis, heart disease, infertility." She continues her presentation as Sean looks at Emma who is now in panic mode.
[After the scene with the boys at the concert, it's before the scene in the girls' locker room where Manny confronts Emma about possibly giving Sean gnorrhea]
In full Dracula costume, Sean is backstage on the phone with someone at the guys getting ready for the show. "I know. I wish this wasn't happening. Let me know how it goes. I am so sorry."
As he's talking, Jay walks over behind Sean as he hangs up. "What's going on? Big Red still mad about that little smooch?"
Sean turns and glares at Jay. "Ellie had to go to the hospital to get checked. I was worried that 'little smooch' might of given it to her."
"Come on, one kiss isn't gonna do it," Jay assured him.
"Not taking my chances," Sean said bitterly. "When the show's over, I'm meeting her there and getting tested too."
"Dude, it's not-"
Sean gets in his friend's face. "I'm not worried about if I got it. I'll deal… but if you gave it to Ellie by proxy… you'll be sorry."
"You're making a big deal out of nothing."
"The fact that you think that… after what you did with Emma, you should assess your priorities," Sean told Jay.
Jay glares at Sean as he walks off. "Break a leg, Cameron."
Sean shakes his head as he continues getting ready for the show.
[This follows the scene with Jimmy rocking out at the concert]
The play is in full swing and is in Act Two Scene Seven. The sense of dread could be felt by those who knew what was going on. What happens next could change everything…
Sean in character got on stage as he saw 'Mina' on stage. He did his best to stay in character but he knew what he had to do. Time for some tough love…
"When my brain says to come to you…" Sean said in the voice he had decided to give Dracula. "You shall cross land or sea to do my bidding and to that end…" He turns to Emma who is also trying to stay in character. "This."
Emma pretended to be under "Dracula's" thrall and walked towards him. "But no, I cannot…" Sean motions for Emma to come forward in character and Emma obliges. "Dracula!" She called in character to 'resist' him.
Emma was expecting the kiss. She knew Sean was going to have to kiss her. The guilt was in the pit of her stomach. However, what happened next caught her by surprise…
Sean grabs Emma and twirls her around to face away from the audience. He used the cape to cover himself and Emma to hide the fact he didn't give her the scripted kiss.
Emma looked up at Sean who was glaring at her. A glance that made Emma's blood run cold. Did he know? Did Manny tell him? "What are you doing?" She asked.
"Keep going," Sean said as he twirled her up and he used the momentum to follow his blocking to the other side of the stage. This action confused a few members of the audience, including Snake and Spike.
"What have I done?" Emma said that line had some double meaning. "What have I done to deserve such a fate? I, who have walked in meekness and righteousness all my days. God, pity me!"
Sean grabs Emma from behind as told by the script and holds 'Mina' close as the lights go down to trigger the end of the scene and on to the next.
The audience applauded as Emma and Sean headed backstage. Emma seemed a little annoyed as Sean struggled with what he was going to have to tell her.
"You blew the scene!" Emma replied. "That was completely unprofessional."
"Would you rather I risk getting an STD for sure?" Sean said, with some mild snideness to the statement.
Emma's eyes widen as she turns to look at her ex. "What did you say?"
"I know about what happened. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out." Sean said, trying his best to hold his composure.
"Manny told-"
Sean shakes his head. "No. She told me about as much as she knew. You can thank Jay for giving me confirmation."
Emma blinks, bewilderment on her face. "Sean-"
"Save it. It wasn't your choice to get gonorrhea… but it was your choice to try to kiss me a second time." Sean said bitterly. "Now I have to get tested to make sure I didn't give it to Ellie because of the first kiss."
"I am so-"
Sean didn't bother letting her finish her sentence and just walked off to get ready for his next scene. Leaving Emma alone with a now-present Jay.
[The rest of the scene plays out like it's supposed to, including Emma's social disease line. Think it's best to let it stay that way]
[This scene happens after Jimmy and the boys break back into the hospital then he convinces his dad that he can go home]
Sean and Ellie walk into their apartment. He was trying to shake off the post-show jitters and his confrontation with Emma. He still couldn't believe she was about to go through with the kiss. Ellie was trying to calm down after getting tested for a potential STD thanks to Emma.
"Shame I missed your show," Ellie said, trying to break the silence between them. "Sure you did great."
"You shouldn't have had to," Sean said as he turned to face her. "Ellie, I'm so sorry."
"It wasn't your fault… and it wasn't Emma's either," Ellie assured him. "If you want to blame someone, blame Jay. He's the one spreading it."
"It would be so easy if I could blame him… Ellie, he's my friend-"
"And he gave a bunch of girls gonorrhea. He probably gave it to use because of what he did to Emma. You shouldn't have to make excuses for him." Ellie replied. "The guy is bad news… and you know that."
Sean rubbed his forehead, he knew she was right. He didn't know what to do.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. They both turn around at the sound which annoys Sean for breaking his concentration.
"Don't worry. I'll get it." Ellie told him as she went to the door. "Who is it?"
"It's Manny. I came to give Sean something."
Ellie's eyes flare as she opens the door suddenly which makes Manny jump. She was dressed in street clothes and had her hair down. She was holding something in her hand. "What do you want, Santos?"
Manny stares back at her, knowing she isn't Ellie's favorite person due to her part in Craig's first breakup with Ashley. "I didn't mean to interrupt but I needed to give Sean something."
"El, it's okay," Sean said as he walked over and stood next to Ellie. "What is it, Manny?"
Manny holds out what she wanted to give Sean: a videotape. "You told me Ellie had to miss the show tonight and I figured she should see how you did."
Ellie was caught by surprise by the gesture. "You didn't have to do that."
"I know… but he did such a good job that you shouldn't have to have missed it because… stuff," Manny said, doing her best to be discreet.
Ellie smirks as Sean takes the tape. "Thanks."
"Be sure to have it back by tomorrow. J.T. had to risk the wrath of Liberty Van Zandt to let me borrow it." Manny said as she heard a loud honking behind her. "That's my mom. Gotta make it home before my dad gets off work. See you tomorrow for 'hopefully' night two of Castle Dracula?"
Sean smiles. "See ya tomorrow, Manny."
Manny smiles as she walks off the porch and Ellie shuts the door.
"Well, that was nice of her," Ellie said halfheartedly.
Sean smiles weakly. "Yeah, it was…"
"It's a good thing we got a VHS from that pawn shop," Ellie said.
"Yeah, you can watch me embarrass myself on stage." Sean joked which made Ellie playfully smack him. "Ow."
[The ending plays out similarly to the original ending to part two with Emma confessing to her parents that she has gonorrhea]
Well, there it is. I really hope you guys liked this version of the two-parter. I did my best to fill in some gaps and make people sound like they should.
I know that Sean on the show wasn't an extracurricular kind of guy but I thought that change might be fun. This version of Sean is slightly different from the original and I thought it should reflect that. Especially with what's going to happen between him and Jay.
Also, I had to change the fact that Emma was "blamed" for what happened and didn't seem fair. Her actions got her in the situation she was in but she wasn't fully at fault for it. It takes two to tango.
I hope you guys liked it and I will do my best to update more often.
Please like and review. I love hearing feedback from people. Helps me write.
