Addison was just getting back to Callie's after a long day of surgery. She kicked off her shoes, walked into the livingroom and fell onto the couch. Her eyes were closed and she took deep breaths in order to relax her body. She had all day tomorrow to relax. She fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, she was awoken by the sound of someone trying to whisper. She was hoping that the sound would stop soon but sadly it didn't. She slowly opened her eyes to see brown eyes staring at her, she slightly flinched away until she fully opened her eyes to see that it was Sofia in front of her.
"Sofi what did I tell you about waking up Addison" Callie says from the archway of the livingroom.
"I didn't wake her up." Sofia says to her mother "Titi was already awake" she points to Addison's open eyes which causes Addison to chuckle. Addison grabbed the little girl from where she was standing, made more room so she could lay down as well. Addison hugged the little girl closer to her as she closed her eyes again. Addison waved away Callie to let her know it was okay that Sofia joined her on the couch.
"Good Morning titi" Sofia says as she plays with her aunt's hair.
"Morning princesa guerrera" Addison mumbles as she places a kiss on top of the young girl's head.
"How was your surgery? Did you save a baby?" Sofia asked her with curiosity.
Addison was hesitant to answer the question, she didn't know how to tell a four year old that they maybe had a fighting chance "Yeah I did my best. We gotta wait and see"
"I know, you saved the baby. You are the bestest baby doctor, you saved me when I was born" Sofia says, causing Addison to smile.
"You saved me as well" Addison tells Sofia as she cuddles her tighter.
"We saved each other" Sofia tells the older woman.
"You always have the sweetest things to say" Addison smiles at the young girl reminding her of Mark.
"You're my best friend," Sofia says, which warms Addison's heart.
"Wanna know something?" Addison asked the young girl who took her head from under her aunt's chin to look at her her head "Don't tell mommy but you're my best friend as well" This causes Sofia to giggle and her giggle causes Addison to laugh.
"Forever?" Sofia asked
"And always" Addison reassured the young girl
"Guess what" Sofia says to Addison.
"What?" Addison asked the little girl.
"I wanna be a doctor like you, mama, mommy, Auntie Bailey and daddy" Addison is shocked because most kids don't wanna follow in their parents footsteps but by the tone of this little girl's voice she was determined.
"You know we are different kinds of doctors right?" Addison asked.
"Yeah, mama fixes bones, you save babies, mommy saves big kids and sometimes babies, auntie bailey saves everyone and daddy gives people new parts" Sofia explained the roles of the different doctors who were the closest to her. Addison was impressed by how much Sofia knew of each of their specialities.
"You are very smart, my girl and that will make you a great doctor" Addison praised which made the little girl beamed with happiness.
The two continued to talk about the kind of doctor Sofia would like to be. Addison questioned her on certain things which challenged the little girl. Some answers she didn't know, which made her upset. Addison reminded her that it was okay and she can always learn it again when she is older. The discussion soon went to school and friends, then how Sofia had to defend her friend from a bully. They then talked about the different places they wanted to visit and Sofia made it clear that she and Addison will be traveling to London when she's older. Effectively Sofia became quiet. Addison looked at the young girl to see her eyes closed. Addison kissed her forehead, adjusted the young girl a little so she could get blood flowing in her arm again. Then she placed the young girl's head onto a pillow. Sofia snuggled closer to Addison, putting her hand into her blouse sleeve. Sofia had a thing where she had to be touching whoever skin that she laid with. Addison grew used to it over the years, she knew this girl always depended on her. Addison kissed the top of Sofia's head and then her forehead again and closed her eyes. Sleep effectively took over her.
An hour later Callie walked back into the livingroom to see Addison and Sofia fast asleep. She smiled at the sight, Callie took out her phone and got closer to the pair. She snapped a picture of the pair, as they slept. Callie sent a picture to Arizona and also to Addison. She went behind the couch, grabbed the throw blanket and put it over the too.

Before Callie walked out of the living room, she whispered "Te Amo" with a smile on her face. Then went back to doing what she was doing before.
