Chapter 94 Always with Me
Toya's POV
I arrived at Weekend Garage, where I found the rest of my team.
"Hey there, Toya", An greeted. "You're just in time. We were discussing holding one last event in Vivid Street before leaving for New York."
"I see", I said before sitting down. "But, before we discuss that…there's something I wanted to ask you all."
"What is it", Akito asked.
Then…I took a deep breath, before asking my question.
"If it's not too late, would it be okay for me to…go with you all to New York?"
When I asked this, my group all looked at me in shock.
"You…want to go with us to New York", Akito asked.
"Yes", I replied. "I was at my lowest moment when I lost Saki. But when I was…you were all there for me, just as you've always been. It made me realize how important you all are to me, and just how much I want to stay with you all. So, please let me come with you!"
After I said this, my friends all looked at each other…before smiling.
"Of course you can come with us, Toya", An replied.
"Really", I asked.
"Of course", Akito replied, before putting his arm around my shoulder. "After all, we're teammates."
"Yes", Kohane added. "And, we're friends."
When I heard these words from my friends, a huge smile came to my face as I became emotional.
"Everyone", I started. "Thank you so much. I'm…so happy that I met you all."
"And we're happy to have met you, Toya", An stated.
"Right", Kohane agreed. "Our team would never be complete without you."
"Now", Akito started. "Lets do our best in New York. All of us. Together."
"Right", I agreed. "Together."
One Week Later
An's POV
We were performing in our last event on Vivid Street, which was reaching its conclusion.
"Everyone", Kohane started. "We've arrived at our final song, but before we sing it…there's something we would like to say."
After Kohane said this, she looked at me and nodded.
I nodded back, before looking at everyone in the audience.
"As long as I can remember", I started. "I've spent most of my time on Vivid Street, and I've made so many amazing memories here. We all have."
"Right", Akito agreed. "When I first came to this street and saw Rad Weekend, it awoke a passion for music inside of me."
"When I first came to perform on Vivid Street, I was originally doing so just to spite my father", Toya revealed. "But then I met, Akito, and then Azusawa-San and Shiraishi-San, and performing with them became so important to me."
"When I first came to Vivid Street, I found myself in Weekend Garage, and heard An-Chan sing for the first time", Kohane said. "When I did, my heart pounding in my chest. I used to be such a quiet and shy person, but thanks to An-Chan and everyone else, I became more confident in myself."
"And I'm so glad that you did, girl", I added, before putting my arm over Kohane's shoulder. "Not only did I get the best partner ever, I got the best teammates ever. And with them, I finally had a shot and making my dream of surpassing Rad Weekend a reality!"
"But doing so would not be an easy task", Toya pointed. "We went through many ups and downs."
"And many people didn't believe that we could actually pull it off", Akito added.
"But by working together as a team", Kohane started. "As well as getting support from many others, we we're able to do it!"
"And now", I started. "We'll be heading off to New York to embark on a new journey. But I want you all to know that, no matter how far I go, The memories of this place, as while as the people I met here, will stay within my heart forever. I'm who I am today because of them, and so, this last song is our thank you to everyone on Vivid Street. You ready? Here we go. Machi!"
With this, we did our final performance on Vivid Street for a while.
As we were performing, I took a look at everyone in the audience…and began getting emotional.
(I can't believe I'm about to leave this place. As long as I can remember, it's always been here for me. But…)
After I thought this, I took a look at my teammates.
(As long as I'm with my teammates, I know that everything will turn out alright!)
