Chapter 9

Rescue Mission

Mushu appeared in the Nara house in his small form. Long as Akina sends him and she's not to far away, he could appear where needed. (AN: Small like his namesake from Mulan. LOL.) He hated his small form. He rarely did it unless Akina sent him on small like missions to help her team out. His tails took up a lot of room but he had them all together. Shikamaru laid snoring on his side. Mushu scurried over and climbed onto his stomach.

"Shikamara." Mushu said. Shikamaru grumbled something in his sleep. "Wake up, butt head. Your girlfriend is in trouble!" Shikamaru sat up fast sending the poor dragon flying. Mushu grunted. "Ow."

"Akina. Where the..." Shikamaru saw Mushu getting up and walking his way. Shikamaru eyes widen when he saw the black dragon with gold eyes, along with the ten tails. "Your the ten tails?"

"The very one." Mushu said.

"What... What are you doing here?" Shikamaru said. Mushu jumped on Shikamaru's leg.

"Akina went after her ex to protect you guys and it didn't go well. She sent me to get you if things went wrong." Mushu said. Shikamaru facepalmed.

'Really? She should of told me and I could of helped. She is gonna be troublesome.' Shikamaru thought as he quickly got up. Mushu sat in front of him.

"Is this your true form. I thought you be bigger." Shikamaru said. Mushu felt like a vein was going to pop.

"I can be big if I want but I don't think your mom would like me destroying your home." Mushu said. Shikamaru realized he was right. His mom would not be happy with that. It was Shikamaru's first time seeing the 10 tails. "We need to get going. I can be so far away from her before she dissappears then I have to return back. I know where she is."

"Let's go get Ino and Choji." Shikamaru said, throwing the blanket off. How he didn't realize she was gone was weird. She didn't wake him up getting up. He was kicking himself. During the games of Shoji, Akina's mind was somewhere else. Shikamaru could tell and he should of questioned. He thought she was worried about her ex being back.

"They are on their way. I already telepathed to them. Might of freaked them out." Mushu said. Shikamaru wouldn't doubt it. The dragon scared him when he got woken up. "Let's get moving, young Nara." Shikamaru was on his feet and opening the door to the yard. Ino and Choji were running up.

"The 10 tails called us and.. Is that him?" Choji said, eyes landing on Mushu when he jumps into the grass. "I thought he be bigger."

"I'm not explaining this again. This is my travel size. I'm bigger then the other tailed beasts in my normal size." Mushu said. Ino and Choji share looks.

"10 tails. Can you get us to Akina?" Shikamaru asked.

"Yes. Follow me." Mushu said. He took off running. The trio went after him.

"Why didn't Akina tell you her plans?" Ino asked.

"I think she feared I would stop her. She's strong willed like her mother. Though I would of helped her." Shikamaru said. Mushu was running ahead. He was fast. Shikamaru led his friends.

"You can move faster with less talking." Mushu said.

"Man that lizard is bossy." Choji said.

"Call me a lizard again and I'll eat you, fatso." Mushu growled.

"Why you..." Choji was interupted by an explosion on the mountain where the heads were of the five Hokage. Shikamaru eyes widen. Mushu sped up and Shikamaru did the same. "Hey. Slow down." Shikamaru ignored him.

Moments before. Akina woke up with her hands tied behind her back.

"You sure its a good idea to take her back. No one wants her and your wanted for escaping jail and killing her father." A unfamiliar voice said. Akina's head was killing her. She turned her body and saw Daku and someone unfamiliar standing on rocks that looked familiar. She was on the mountain where the heads of the five Hokages were.

"I don't care. She's wanted by someone else and I'm heading towards them." Daku said. Akina sat up. Her head was spinning.

'Mushu. Hurry up.' Akina thought. Her hands were seperated so she couldn't break through using Jutsu. Akina moved her right hand and smirked. One thing no one knew except a few people and she hadn't told Shikamaru quite yet. She wasn't going anywhere and she wasn't going down without a fight. Akina moved her one hand with hand signs. Like her uncle and a few other Shinobe, Akina could do one handed hand signs. Jiraiya, Naruto, and her father were the only ones that knew. 'Woodstyle. Hand fist.' Wood formed around her fist, snapping the ropes. It made a loud noise.

"What was that." The man said. Akina moved with speed as she focused her chakra in her fist and hit the ground hard with it, sending the two men flying. She did lie a bit to her mom about her mothers strength. Akina used it with a combination of Woodstyle.

"Damnit. She broke free." Daku said. Akina spun and blocked a punch from Daku.

"I'm not going back. This is my new home." Akina said.

"We won't be going back to the Hidden Stone. My boss wants you." Daku said. Akina gritted her teeth.

"Whose your boss?" Akina asked as her and Daku got into a hand in hand combat, where Akina was blocking his moves. She knew his moves having trained with him for a few years. Daku just smirked as both were in arm locked.

"You'll find out now or later if you don't come and my orders are not to kill you." Daku said.

'Where are you, Mushu, Shikamaru?' Akina thought as his head got closer to her. Daku smirked evily.

"So I see you have a new boy toy." Daku said. Akina looked into his silver eyes. She had forgotten that he had been watching her and Shikamaru before Akina had seen him. "You gonna use him and run away like you did with me?"

"You used me. I never used you. I'm staying here. I'm not going anywhere." Akina said. Daku dug his nails into her arm. Akina bit back a cry as they dug deep. Akina brought her foot up and kicked him in the stomach. He grunted in pain. "I'm not a weak girl when we first started dating." Akina turned and felt an arm wrap around her neck and she gasped for air.

"Your coming with, even if I have to knock you out again and drag you away before your friends get here." Daku said. Akina closed her eyes as the air slipped out of her mouth.

'Akina. We're here.' Mushu called in her head.

"Kina!" Shikamaru yelled. Akina threw her head back, headbutting Daku, who got distracted by Shikamaru's yell. Akina turned fast and punched him hard in the stomach. Daku fell to his feet as Akina gasped for air. Shikamaru and Mushu came running. "You are troublesome." Akina had her hand to her neck, rubbing it. Shikamaru saw the nail mark on her arms and her neck was red from being squeezed. "You should of told me."

"And have you stop me. No." Akina said. Daku struggled to his feet. Akina made fast signs. "Woodstyle. Dragon Capture." Wood Dragons sprung from the ground and wrapped around Daku.

"What's his Jutsu?" Ino asked as her and Choji ran towards them.

"He's like TenTen. He's a weapon Speicalist. But good at hand to hand combat." Akina said.

"You think I'm done. My master will have you if you send me away." Daku said.

"Whose your master?" Choji asked.

"Don't try. He won't tell me. And let him come. I know its not the Akatsuki don't want me." Akina said.

"I don't know what he wants me for, but he'll have you." Daku said.

"Your going nowhere but the Blood Prison. The Anbu Black Ops will be here soon." Shikamaru said. He came to stand next to Akina. Mushu was growling at the guy.

"Mushu. Come back." Akina said. Mushu sighed and he disappeared in a puff of smoke. Shikamaru didn't look happy and awake as he stood next to her.

"Shika. I..."

"Don't start. Let's get these two back and us to bed. We will talk in the morning." Shikamaru said. His voice was cold and unreadable. He didn't miss the hurt that went through Akina's eyes. He sighed. "Let's just get out of here." Shikamaru grabbed her arm gently. "You alright?"

"I'm fine. My arms might have nail marks." Akina said. As the backs were turned. The unknown man stood up fast. He pulled on ropes and Akina felt pain all over. Shikamaru's eyes widen as Akina fell to her knees. Ino looked like she was gonna cry as she saw five Kunai. 2 in both arms. Two in her legs and one in the middle of her back. Shikamaru ran to her and barely caught her before Akina flaceplanted into the rock.

"Kina." Shikamaru said as Ino fell to her knees next to her.

"Shikamaru. This doesn't look good. The Kunai didn't hit vital spots, but the one on her back are creating purple lines in her back. We need to get her back to her mother." Ino said. Worry was in her voice. Daku started laughing as Akina felt utter pain through the wound in her back. Choji and Shikamaru turned on Daku, who broke through the wood dragons. Akina could hear Mushu growling. He wanted to rip the man to pieces, but Akina refused to let him out.

"Wasn't meant to kill her, because she is wanted, but there is poison in the Kunai that's in her back." Daku said. Shikamaru handed Akina over to Ino and flinched when Akina cried out in pain. Shikamaru made some signs.

"Shadow Stiching Jutsu." Shikamaru said. Akina watched, barely staying concious as shadow like needles shot through both men, imobilizing them. Daku spit out blood. Unbu Black Ops appeared. "About time." Shikamaru turned his back to see Akina watching him. She was pale then normal as Black Ops brought a cot over to her. "Get her to Lady Hokage."

"Shikamaru." Akina barely whispered as she let blackness take her as the Black ops gently grabbed her from Ino. Shikamaru appeared next to Ino as Akina's eyes closed.

"We'll get her there now. This doesn't look good." One of the Unbu Black Ops said. Shikamaru felt his heart sink as the Black Ops disappeared with Akina. The other Black Ops grabbed Daku and the other man.

'She has to be okay.' Shikamaru thought.

"Let's get to the hospital. We're staying with you." Choji said. Ino nodded. Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji jump off the mountain and headed for the hospital.

AN: Don't worry. Not gonna kill her. I'm liking her more and more and I got plans with Akina. Till next time.
