It was a surprisingly sunny day in Seattle Washington when Addison arrived in front of the hospital. The drive from the hotel to the hospital wasn't far, she loved the convenience of distance. She smiled as she looked at the entrance she would walk through everyday, bustling with doctors, nurses, and patients of all kinds. Addison walked through the doors of the hospital taking in the familiar smell of the hospital.
She glanced around to see if she saw any familiar faces and unfortunately she didn't. She goes over to the elevator and waits for one to open. The noises around her, she does miss the sound of a hospital ever once in a while. The elevator door opens, she enters and she presses the floor button for the trauma. The memories of elevator conversations, heated arguments, kisses and hidden secrets stayed in these four boxed walls. Addison smiled as the memories flooded her thoughts and she chuckled to herself. The elevator dinged indicating that she was on the desired floor, she stepped off the elevator and walked the short hallway and headed towards the nursing station. She smiled as she saw Bailey, Callie, Mark, Arizona and Derek standing and looking over patient paperwork.
Addison bellowed "Satan is back" as she held out her arms for a hug.
"Aww look if it isn't sexy red" Mark says as he goes into a hug but gets cuts off by Callie.
"Nah, my best friend move loser" Callie says which causes Addison to laugh and the two women hug tightly. "I miss you"
"I miss you too Cal, I tell you I'll pay for the plane tickets. Just let me know what day" Addison tells her as they pull apart from the hug.
"Gotcha" Callie makes a mental note of.
"Bailey honey" Addison as she hugs the short woman who has a fake don't touch me look on her face.
"Montgomery" Bailey laughs as Addison kisses her on the head "I missed you as well"
"You better take me up on my offer as well Miranda" Addison tells Bailey as she looks at the smaller woman.
"I will and I will definitely let you know the date. Once these knuckleheads learn to keep things in order when I'm not here for an hour." Baileys says pointing to both Mark and Derek who seemed to be offended.
"Now Bailey you can trust me, I don't know about Derek here" Mark says which caused everyone to roll their eyes.
"Mark, you are insufferable" Derek says as he collects the paperwork "It was nice seeing you Addison. We'll catch up later, I gotta get to surgery" Derek says as he gives a quick hug to Addison with a kiss on the cheek and then goes in the direction of surgery.
"So why the random pop up?" Arizona speaking for the first time. She stood behind the counter of the nursing station. Addison and Arizona got along for the most part but once Callie updated her on their most recent argument. That changed their dynamic.
"I'm here to see my child and take her for the weekend," Addison tells Arizona.
"I love how we had her but she says it's her child" Mark remarks to Callie.
"Callie is my baby mama and you're just the sperm donor" Addison jokingly says to Mark "Plus it was a rough week in LA. I want to spend time with Sofia."
"No hot man this month?" Bailey asked Addison.
"That convo is for another time and place." Addison starts out saying then puts a hand on Bailey arm "I've been good for the most part" Addison says as she puts on her fake smile hoping Bailey doesn't see through the bullshit.
Bailey narrows her eyes at Addison, rolls her eyes and laughs "Keep your knees closed Montgomery" Bailey gathers her papers "I gotta go but we'll definitely catch up. We'll have a 3-way call tonight?" Bailey asked Callie and Addison as she was slowly walking away.
"Yeah definitely. Most likely" the two ladies responded as she nods her head and walks away "It's a date then ladies"
Addison was left there with Callie, Mark and Arizona. "So who's going to take me to my baby?" Addison asked as she looked at the three doctors in front of her.
"We can have a girl adventure" Callie says as she links her and Addison's arms together.
They two start to walk away before Mark looks at Arizona, shrugged his shoulder and walked in the direction that Addison and Callie went to catch up to them.
Addison and Callie talked about the latest gossip in the hospital as they walked to the daycare in the hospital. Addison was shocked at how much has changed over the years. On the way to the daycare, they passed Alex, Lexie, and Cristina. Addison strikes up a conversation with them before Callie pulls her away.
They reached the daycare, Callie opened the door. Addison's eyes quickly scanned the room for her goddaughter. She spotted her sitting at a table color with another child. Callie and Addison went over to the girl who was at first paying them no mind.
"Sofia bebe, look who came to visit you" Callie says as she crutches down to her daughter level and points at Addison. Sofia looks at her mother very confusingly then looks at Addison. "Godmommy here" Sofia smiled and bounced in her seat. She holds her arms out to the older redhead woman.
Addison steps around Callie and picks up Sofia "Hey Princess!" Addison says as she tickles Sofia.
"No no Addison spanish, we are making sure she knows spanish" Mark says as he crosses his arms across his chest.
"Okay…." Addison was surprised at how serious Mark would want to teach Sofia spanish. She knew Callie wanted too but it never crossed her mind about Mark.
"Calli-"
Before Addison can ask for help Callie says "It's Hola Princesa." Addison nods her head and repeats what Callie said.
"So Sofia wanna come with titi?" Addison says as Sofia claps her hands and smiles in response.
"You heard the baby. She wants to come with me" Addison says as Sofia puts her cheek to Addison's.
"Are you sure Addy?" Mark asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes Sloan. I will be able to take Sofia until Sunday." Addison tells the two parents.
"If she gives you any trouble just give us a call" Callie says to Addison.
"We'll be fine, now where's her diaper bag?" Addison asked as she looked for Sofia cubby.
"I'll go grab it." Mark says as he goes over to the cubby.
"Do you need a carseat?" Callie asked as Mark came back with the diaper bag. He handed Addison the diaper and she put it over her shoulder.
"Nope, I have one in my car" Addison tells the two parents were shocked.
"You brought a new car seat?" Callie and Mark asked at the same time.
"Yes, I did."
"Addi what are we going to do with you?" Callie asked As she looked at the redhead who was making faces at Sofia causing her to laugh.
"Love me."
"We do, you could've asked one of us for our carseat" Mark says
"C'mon Sofia." Addison chooses to ignore both Callie and Mark. "Wanna go shopping for new shoes?" Addison asked Sofia as they walked out of the daycare center. Sofia responds to her in gurbish" I take that as a yes"
Addison goes towards the elevators with Callie and Mark behind her asking her twenty questions. Richard notices the trio and smiles at Addison.
"Hey, Addison. I didn't know you were here." Richard says as he steps aside while she waits for an elevator.
"Yeah, I came to get Sofia."
"Does Callie, Mark or Arizona know?" Richard asked Addison as she smiled sweetly at him.
"Her parents are right there" Addison points in the direction she came from to see Callie and Mark coming towards the elevators. "So yeah they know." Addison tells the chief.
The elevator dings and Addison steps in when Callie and Mark finally reach the elevator.
"Call me one Sunday when one of you is ready to pick up Sofia. No promises on how shoes and clothes she comes home with. Love yall." Addison says as the door closes and she has Sofia wave at both of her parents.
"I take it as Addison came all the way over here from LA to spend time with Sofia?" Richard asked the two parents.
"Yeah, she said it was a rough week." Callie tells the chief "And she wanted to see her baby."
"Sofia is definitely going to have Addison influence."
"Yeah, we're in trouble" Mark says as he still looks at the elevator.
"Tch have fun." Richard says as he pats the shoulders of both doctors.
"Let's go tell Arizona one of us three have to call Addison on Sunday to pick up Sofia." Callie says as she grabs Mark's arms so they can go find Arizona.
