Part two

Callie and Derek entered the house, Derek and Callie both sighed a sigh of relief. Derek and Callie went into the kitchen to see Meredith and Addison in the kitchen cleaning up after the kids. Addison was cleaning of Sofia's high chair and Meredith was cleaning the dishes.

"Hey guys" Derek says as he went over to Meredith and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey. Hi" Both ladies said as they continued to clean.

"Umm Addison when do you want to leave?" Callie asked Addison as she looked up from cleaning.

"We can leave tonight, I already bought the tickets." Addison tells Callie

"Okay, imma go pack the suitcases" Callie says as she goes out of the kitchen and upstairs into her and Sofia's room.

Once out of sight and ear range "So she has the week off?" Meredith asked Addison.

"Yep I told Richard a week so that way they can actually think things out" Addison's as she moves Sofia cleaned high chair back to dining table.

"Addy, you'll be fine with them?" Derek asked even though he knew Addison had them.

"Yeah, I got this" Addison says as she puts her hair in a ponytail.

A few minutes later Callie came down from a sleeping Sofia. She hands Sofia over to Addison, gets the reminder of the bags. The trio leaves the house, Addison puts Sofia in her carseat, then gets into the driver seat to start the car. Callie puts the bags in trunk and gets into the passenger seat.

"You ready?" Addison asked as Callie nodded her head and started going into the direction of the airport.

Addison drives to the airport. The car ride is quiet besides the snores coming from Sofia. Callie looks out the window not wanting to talk yet, feeling like they're not a safe enough distance to speak words. Addison reaches the airport and finds a parking spot. She sends a text message to Derek to let them know they're at the airport. Callie gets out of the car to get Sofia while Addison has the bags. The two walked to get checked in for their flight and wait to be called. Callie was walking around the waiting area, as her nerves wouldn't allow her to sit down. Addison watched her friend walk back and forth in an unknown direction. Addison understood that her friend was in her head. This was the second time something like this happened, her heart broke for her friend. This time it involved a child who was completely innocent in the whole ordeal. Addison wanted to hug Callie but she knew that she wasn't ready for another hug. The pair heard their plane being called and they boarded the plane.

Two hours passed and they reached LA, Sofia slept through most of the plane ride. Callie and Addison were slightly amazed by that. Once, the plane landed they went to grab Callie and Sofia suitcases. They exited the airport, the sky still dark in the early morning. Addison called over a cab and gave them the directions to her home. An hour later, they arrived at Addison's house, Callie was shocked at how her friend was living because even though Addison was rich she was also humble. Addison showed Callie to the guest room and that there was a pack play for Sofia to sleep. Callie put her down into the pack n play, goes over to Addison and gives her a hug "Thank you again Addison."

Addison hugs her friend back "you're welcome Calliope" Callie chuckles and the two separate. Addison says good night and goes into her room.

The next morning, Callie woke up to the smell of breakfast being cooked and coffee being made. She stretched then got out of bed, she went over to the pack n play to not see Sofia in there. Her heart slightly panicked but she told herself, Addison had her. She went into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. Once she was done, she went into the kitchen to see a man at the stove making breakfast while Addison sat at the table with Sofia who was eating eggs.

"Good morning." Callie says as she enters the kitchen and goes to give Sofia a morning kiss who offers her mom eggs.

"Morning, How'd you sleep?" Addison asked as she hands Sofia a small piece of bacon.

"Wonderful" Callie says as Jake puts a cup of coffee in front of her "Thank you" Callie says she smiles at him, she looks over at Addison who is blushing slightly.

"Callie, I want you to meet Jake. Jake, this is my best friend Callie from Seattle" Jake and Callie shake hands as he places a plate of breakfast in front of her.

"Nice to meet you" they both said

"What's on the agenda for today?" Callie asked Addison.

"I'm thinking I can show you the practice and introduce you to everyone. Then you have a few hours to yourself."

"Addi. You dont have too. What about Sofia? " Callie agreed as she ate her breakfast.

"Oh she's coming wuth me. I am and I will. If she's going to be a double-board surgeon she needs to learn young." Addison argued as Jake sat down watching the friends interact. " So you are going to relax and enjoy a few hours away from our child."

"Our?" Jake asked confused as Addison and Callie looked at him confused because he didn't get the inside joke.

"Ya, she's my baby mama and Mark is the sperm donor." Addison explained to him.

"Don't worry he was okay with us saying it." Callie added as Addison nodded her head "He even said it seems like we just had her and Addison is her only parent."

"Yep." Addison agreed as Jake smiled at the two and shook his head

"You better find me some bones to fix this week. If you want too give me a few hours to myself" Callie tells Addison as she holds out her hand so they can shake on it.

"Don't worry I will" Addison shakes her hand in agreement to their deal.

After breakfast they all left and went to the practice. Addison introduced Callie and Sofia to everyone at the practice. They helped Callie and Sofia feel like family, as promised Sofia stayed with Addison while Callie was going to the beach. Addison also gave Callie her car so she can drive around, Callie couldn't do that to Addison but Addison insisted. During the days Sofia would go to work with Addison, if Addison got busy someone would offer to take Sofia. Callie explored LA, went shopping for herself and Sofia on Addison's credit card per Addison. During the week Addison and Callie would take turns to cook, dancing would be involved as the food was cooking. Amelia and Callie would have sleepovers in Callie's bed with Sofia. There was one night where everyone at the practice met up at Addison's house to have a barbecue. Callie felt relaxed and she didn't have to worry about anything. Addison and Callie took Sofia to the aquarium so Sofia could enjoy the fishes. In this moment Callie was grateful for her friend. She wouldn't trade their friendship in for anything. As promised Addison had someone who needed a bone reset, she called Callie and told her to come down to the practice she had a surprise for her. Callie saw the bone coming out of the person's leg. Addison saw that smile reach from ear to ear, Callie popped the bone back into place with no hesitation. Everyone looked at her with shocked expressions yet Addison looked at her with pride while Callie felt the stress from the past couple of months leave her body. She smiled at her friend, said "Thank you" to Addison and walked out to hangout with Sofia.

Arizona would text her to see how Sofia was doing and Callie would send her pictures. There weren't a lot of words exchanged between the two, just how is Sofia and that was it. Callie made a decision on what she would do between her and Arizona. Addison understood why she kept it to herself, she knew Callie would tell her effectively.

On the last day of Callie and Sofia being in LA. Addison, Callie and Sofia went to the beach right off of Addison deck. Callie and Addison took turns putting Sofia's feet into the water which she kinda didn't like at first but effectively grew used to it. It was around twelve when Addison and Callie sat down on the beach with Sofia sitting in front of them playing with a teddy bear that Jake gave to her.

"So how do you feel returning home tomorrow?" Addison asked Callie as she was looking out at the distance.

"I'm gonna have to face the music at some point." Callie looks at Addison "Thanks for bringing us out here Addison" Callie tells her friend.

"Look, my home is your home. The door is always open" Addison says to Callie as she reassured her.

Callie put her head on Addison's shoulder and Addison placed hers on top of Callie's. This week was a good week for both of them but also a good week for Mark who was watching them from Addison's back deck
