Chapter 37:
It didn't take too long to find the elevator to lead us to the Starlight Carnival, us then going up to the giant space ships of neon lights and, when we did, we then proceeded to enter into one of the coolest parts where we were completely upside-down on a road of neon and we started to run across the path through the vastness of space, the entire area being in a technological bubble of air that Eggman had created to protect the park-goers from the vaccuum of space. And it felt so cool being upside-down and running through the place, seeing neon ships all over the place and even going up, down, and all around all the ships!
"This is AMAZING! All the lights look so cool! The ships are so pretty! I must know what kind of mateirals are used to make these kinds of things!" Taffyta smiled happily at the sights, us continuing through the first of the levels, going through even the ships themselves, but seeing that Eggman had locked the doors that led to the cryogenic chambers... well, almost all of them, as there was a singular person that was in the place, her being about an inch taller than Taffyta and trying to fight off a robot with a group of Pikmin!
"Stay back! I won't allow you to capture us!" she shouted in anger, us then assisting with me sending a flurry of water at the robot to short-circuit it and for the little pink girl to look at us in surprise. "S-Stay right w-where you are! Or I'll have my little friends attack you!" she said with anger, me smiling at her.
"Your name is Brittany, right?" I asked, her looking at me with a frown.
"How did you know my name? Explain, and do not come closer," she frowned.
"It'd take a while to explain, so I'll just show you," I said as I then shared the memories of what I'd seen her in, her looking to be in shock as I then showed that, in the far past, I thought of her world as being a video game. And she looked at me and then at the Pikmin friends before frowning at me. "As for who we are, we're here to help you and your kind get out of this predicament. We need to destroy a hidden generator, which has been placed on the capitol ship in secrecy. It's the only way to break these ships out of the tractor beam that Eggman has locked on them, as well as all the Wisps that he's captured," I explained.
"I see... fine. But don't attack me," she said, us then going forward before we then found the way was blocked by a whole slew of tough crates and that there was a Blue Cube Wisp that was next to it.
"What is that thing?" Brittany asked.
"That's a Wisp. Tell him that we're here to help and he can help us get through this barricade," Tirsiak said, Brittany then doing the impossible and speaking the Wisp's language perfectly, the Cube then going inside of her and for Brittany to then turn into a blue cube version of herself and then slamming into the ground to destroy the numerous crates, each one containing big bottles of juice, each bottle being biodegradable.
"Don't hurt the juice bottles, we needed to do a lot of work to grab this stuff," she said, me nodding as we then went forward through the juice bottles and then going into the next set of starlight roads, which Brittany then led us through to the part that would lead us to the Capital Ship, which took a lot longer, especially when we had to get past a bunch of the laser-shooting robots (which we found were made stronger than they were in the past) and only after we got to the capitol ship did we end up finding a way to defeat them, via getting a Red Burst wisp to make them explode with a single blast each, and then we used that and the Green Hover Wisp to get the whole way to the top of the ship, which was where the generator was, me going to it and about to destroy it... but then, Eggman appeared from behind it with a machine that made me concerned. A laser with a duo of purple tanks on it, me then seeing it was aimed at Charmy!
"Charmy! MOVE!" I shouted, him then looking at the sight of Eggman as he shot the laser and, right before he could get zapped... Taffyta rushed in and pushed the bee out of the way and got hit by the beam, me gasping at that as Eggman then smirked widely, me rushing up to him as he kept zapping Taffyta and proceeding to slash apart the tubes he had the juice in! And just in time, as I saw that Taffyta was starting to disappear! And after doing so, a small explosion happened on them as I then jumped back down to Taffyta and caught her as she fell over.
"Rgh... where am I?... Why does my sugar feel all tingly?" she asked in confusion as I looked at Eggman angrily.
"Peh! So close! If I wouldn't have been rudely interrupted, her sugary secrets would've been mine!" he growled.
"You'd kill her just for candy?! You're horrible!" I growled at him, Eggman then smirking at me.
"Don't you know, little lady? Everything in this park has a purpose! If all goes as planned, I will be not only the richest man in the world, but I can get rid of anyone that stands in my way! You won't stop me, no matter what you do," he growled, me then proceeding to zap him from afar with the yellow emerald, him then spasming after before I then stopped and he then hit another button, him then escaping and for the boss to appear, me gawking at how it happened to be a brainwashed version of a Water Wraith from Pikmin 2! And that meant it was huge, making us pale in size to it! He then tried to roll over us, me then gawking at how Brittany summoned some purple Pikmin and proceeded to throw them at the brainwashed Water Wraith and started to make it hardened, allowing Knuckles and Shadow to rush in and demolish it with their strength! And after doing this twice over, they then threw the rest of it into the generator, me then hearing a warning above us.
"Warning! Generator destroyed! Evacuate immediate area! Air shield will be disengaged in T-minus 5 minutes," the computer said, me gasping as we then had to rush on the neon roads all the way back to the elevator, Brittany actually using a remote to force the roads to move towards the place at the fastest pace possible! But despite that, we only managed to get to the elevator with only 20 seconds to spare, me needing to carry both Brittany and Taffyta the whole way back, as the former wasn't a fast runner and Taffyta was still recovering from the laser blast! Once we then hit the elevator button, we rushed back to the park itself and, as soon as we exited the elevator, the fleet of starships then escaped the tractor beam and, in the process, Brittany gasped as she then got something happening to her helmet.
"Brittany, come in, Captain Britanny. Where are you?" asked another voice.
"Don't worry, Olimar, I had to rescue you from a tractor beam before the Cryogenic slumber would kill you. You can go ahead and proceed to Earth as soon as possible and alert them of the evils of a man named Doctor Eggman. He's the one responsible," Brittany explained as Taffyta then got back on her own two feet and tried to walk, me seeing she was a little odd with her skin getting powdery a bit afterwards, her then sighing after.
"Oogh... he was trying to take away my Sugar Rush powers... I'll need to rest for our next few visits, I need to collect myself again..." she said, me nodding at her.
"In the process, we'll protect you as much as we can. I'll assist by carrying you," Priscilla said, Taffyta nodding at that.
"And who will carry me? Because I can't possibly run that fast, same with my Pikmin," she admitted.
"I will, because I can use telekinesis," said a voice I didn't expect to hear, me looking to the right and gasping when I saw none other than Silver alongside another face. "I believe you happen to know who this might be, miss smart?" Silver smirked, me nodding as the brown fur, the small chest, and the red hair were unmistakable. That, and she was wearing what looked to be her original outfit, but with a dark blue undershirt and red skort.
"Uh, yeah... you're Sally Acorn, right?" I asked, her smiling and nodding.
"I am. I'd heard tell that you met my ancient ancestor from miss Shahra, Lady Percival of the Round Table, right?" she asked, me nodding.
"Yeah... so why are you here, per chance?" I asked them.
"I could see your thoughts from afar, so I decided to come here to assist. I brought Sally with me, because we've actually been dating and this adventure sounded too perfect a chance to pass up as a date," Silver smirked.
"Does she happen to have any useful strengths?" Shadow asked.
"I happen to have quite a few abilities, yes. I am very nimble, about the same speed as your friend Amy Rose. And I am a master of Kung-Fu, a fourth degree blackbelt, in fact," she smirked before then showing off said belt was holding up her skort. "So, can I join in on a world saving adventure?" she asked with a smile.
"Welcome to the family," I smirked as we then looked at the nearby map and decided that our next destination would be Planet Wisp, as it was important to stop Eggman from constructing any further on the planet, free all the captured wisps, and destroying all of his buildings so they could live in peace again. "By the way, here are two other friends that we rescued on the way. Taffyta, who is a Sugar Rusher, an human-like alien from a planet filled with sweets and candy. And Brittany... um... what race are you?" I asked, her speaking after.
"I thought you knew that?" she asked.
"It's a bit different than what I saw, you came from a different race than the original crew," I said.
"Fine, I'm from the planet of Hocotate. Everyone on that fleet needs to find a new home, as our original home got destroyed by an asteroid. We're just lucky that we specialize in space travel, otherwise we wouldn't have had enough time to find the asteroid coming in to wipe us out," she said.
"And where does this planet come from?" I asked.
"It comes from at least 1000 light years away from this planet, in a solar system with 12 planets and a white dwarf star... before that, I must ask if your planet has any oxygen in its atmosphere? Or at least a list of things that are in the air system?"
"Both here and on Earth, the air is a mixture many things, the most of them being made up of nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, with trace amounts of multiple other gases, which I shall share with you in thought," Fengshue spoke before then doing so with Brittany and she looked like she were confused greatly.
"Um... some of those elements I have never heard of before... krypton, helium, xenon? What are those even?" she asked in confusion. "But anyways, that was a good help to know if we can breathe on your planet. We can, so long as your planet doesn't have any farodium?" she asked... Farodium?
"From what I've seen on this planet, there exists no farodium anywhere, it only exists on a total of 30 planets in the known universe," Fengshue said, which made Brittany sigh in relief.
"Whew... thank goodness, that's the one thing that Hocotates are unable to breathe. If we did, we'd shrivel up into a prune and die," she explained. "By the way, my Pikmin are telling me that you have hormones occurring whenever you look at me. Can I get an explanation?" she asked, me gasping and turning my head in response.
"U-Um... sorry... I didn't want to say anything but... I kinda think you're cute... in a sexy way," I admitted in shame.
"And I can also see that you feel shame. Is there a reason for that? My people need to repopulate, so I'd be willing to experiment if it meant saving our race," she said, me smacking my face and for Charmy, Knuckles, and the cold girls to laugh and giggle at my plight.
"If we do, I need to tell my wives about it. But right now, we focus on saving the world, okay?" I said, Silver then proceeding to lift Brittany and her group of 20 Pikmin with his psychic powers, which I could tell surprised the little astronaut.
"W-Whoa! This is really freaky! Why am I floating?" she asked in concern before I smiled at Silver.
"It's because my friend here, Silver, has psychic powers. But to be honest, I have an idea of how we do this. We're going to split up into teams from here. My team will go to the Aquarium Park, another group will go to Planet Wisp, and the final group will go to the Asteroid Coaster... but just to be safe..." I frowned before trying to find any life on those planets... and I was shocked to find that the Aquarium Park was filled with, get this, Inklings and Octolings! And they were getting trapped by the robots and Eggman planned on using them for his Bucket o' Sushi restaurant, farming them like they were animals! And as for the Asteroid Coaster, it was the base of draining the Wisps of their energies, and no one else lived there, but it was an asteroid belt with tons of danger of falling out of the air bubble it was contained in.
"So where do we go and how do we split up?" Tirsiak asked.
"Asteroid Coaster is the most dangerous, as it's got tons of space and it is in an air bubble similar to the fleet of ships we just saved. We need to send only flying groups there and destroy the generator, specifically flying people that don't need to worry about air. So I'll send Silver, Brittany, and Tirsiak there. Planet Wisp is the safest, the only issue being the place is being torn up by Eggman's machines. It'll be visited by Knuckles, Priscilla, Sally, and Shadow. Make sure to destroy anything that you find there built by Eggman while finding the generator. As for the final group, it'll be me, Fengshue, Charmy, and Taffyta. We need to go to the Aquarium Park to not only destroy the generator, but save two races of squid and octopus creatures that are sentient and are planned to be made into sushi," I said, which made Taffyta look confused while the others were disgusted.
"What's sushi?" she asked.
"It's when you take a sea-dwelling creature and turn it into a delicacy of seafood. But we can't let Eggman do that to Inklings and Octolings, as they're just as sentient as all of us!" I said, the group nodding as we then proceeded to spread out to our locations to destroy, rescue, destroy, and for me, get to meet two of the greatest species of characters ever! But if they happened to be from another planet devoid of humans... how would they respond to seeing someone like me or Taffyta? I couldn't help but smile at the thought.
