Chapter 38
After splitting up into our different teams, I then went to Aquarium Park with my group of myself, Fengshue, Charmy, and Taffyta, who still needed to be held because of what Eggman tried to do to her, which made me wonder why he was getting so much crueler than he ever was in the past. Regardless, as we ran through the tubes and the water, we soon learned that the water had been chlorinated and, when we eventually made it to the next big part of the area, that being the giant pagodas that were adorned with ink all over the place that was being cleaned by the robots, we happened to see a whole slew of cages for both Inklings and Octolings that were suspended in the air, but hidden inside of a pagoda that said 'Do Not Enter'. And the two groups looked like they were arguing. But besides that, they were also talking English!
"I told you that this was a bad idea, involving that bald person, but you didn't listen!" said one of the Octolings, me seeing it was Agent 8.
"And we told you that he said he'd make us see human culture! And then he started to put poison in our water! We both lost at least 20 each to the poisoned water, and it was because he tricked us, not because we wanted it!" said Pearl, her looking to be trapped alongside Marina and all of the singer Inklings. And even though they were speaking English, they still had the trademark gargling voices, but each sounded unique as opposed to the super similar voices that each had in the games they came from.
"Excuse me?" I said aloud, which the groups looked at my group in utter confusion.
"What are you lot? You're not here to eat us, are you?!" Callie asked in concern, me shaking my head no.
"No, no, we're here to rescue all of you... but may I ask what you mean by the poisoned water?" I asked.
"A bald human came here about a week ago, claiming he'd let us see our human forefathers that originated from Planet Earth. But then he started to fill our watery planet with dumploads of Chlorine! It's the worst thing we can ever be exposed to! One touch, and we just disintegrate!" Marina said with concern, her being the eldest by far of the lot, looking to be more like 29 instead of 18.
"And it's all their fault for allowing him to do that!" said an Octoling, me shouting loudly to prevent any further skirmishes.
"HUSH!" I shouted, them doing so before the arguments could start. "As far as I'm concerned, we're all victims of the bald human. And since he's destroyed your planet, I'm wanting to ask if you'd like to come to our home, Planet Earth," I said, which made another Octoling speak, me seeing it was an Octoling version of Flow.
"Really? But that baldy said that the waters on Earth were just as chlorinated as he made this place," she said with worry.
"And that is a big fat lie, pun intended," I said, which made the groups giggle. "The only waters on our planet with the same amount of Chlorine are those found in man-made pools. Most of my planet is ocean water filled with salt and freshwater rivers and lakes. And drinking water has less than 1 percent chlorine to water ratio, and only to get rid of diseases," I said, which the groups of squid and octopus people looked at each other before one spoke.
"You're serious? Your planet has salt water? That's, like, one of our favorite kinds! But it's been missing from this planet for 100 years," said Shiver, me nodding at her.
"She's dead serious. And besides, it'd be better for you to live on Earth now instead of here, as this place has been pretty much ruined by that Baldy monster! He did the same to my planet, too," Taffyta said, which the two different races then frowned.
"How large is your planet? Because we'd prefer to be as far away from them as possible," the Inklings said.
"EY! What's that for?!" asked Agent 8, which I then proceeded to give a zap to both of them with the yellow emerald, enough to give them the message, which they looked at me after.
"Be cordial, got it? My planet is at least thrice as big as this one, and has the same gravity. You'll have plenty of space to live in, especially in the oceans. But if you can't at the very least stay cordial enough about each other, or at least ignore the other party, then I'm not helping, got it?" I frowned, the two groups then looking at each other before then frowning.
"Fine, sorry... what boundaries do you have for the oceans?" asked Marie.
"We have 2/3rds of our planet covered in saltwater oceans and seas, and they are based on four areas. Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and Antarctic. I'd recommend not going to the last one, as it's super cold," I said.
"Says you, some of us love cold water," Shiver smirked widely.
"Fine, Fengshue, can you go ahead and get them to the planet?" I asked, her then using her powers to completely teleport the whole lot of them to the planet, making sure that the two were on the shores of two different oceans, with the Inklings being on the western American shores and for the Octolings to be sent to the eastern shore of the same continent.
"You sure they'll be safe? Isn't the ocean full of poisonous and dangerous creatures?" Charmy asked.
"No need to worry, they are a very durable species and are only in danger of chlorine poisoning," Fengshue smiled.
"Well, that's good! Now let's find that generator and destroy it!" Taffyta smirked as we then proceeded to run through the water and the different pagodas until we eventually found the place, us going to it and me then seeing that there was another group of Inklings that were at the barrier, them being next to a giant robot and them looking to be ready to be cut up!
"HELP US!" shouted one of them, me rushing in and getting the robot's attention, it being a new one never seen before in any game, this one being a sushi chef with tons of blades on his arms, me then sending a slew of electricity at it, which made it short-circuit for long enough for me to then take the robot and dismember all of it to the point it was only a head! And then, the impossible happened. It started to speak!
"Error... system overload... entering low-power mode..." the robot said, me then recognizing its voice! It was Gamma's voice! I then opened up the head and found the little birdie inside of it, her looking at me in confusion as Fengshue proceeded to demolish the generator, freeing all the Wisps that had been captured on this planet.
"Rgh... what happened? I feel kinda sleepy," she said before then looking at me and then at the squid kids, who were then untied by everyone else in our group.
"Thanks for that, we were about to be turned into calamari... and then fed to the fat bastard," said one of the inklings, me seeing she was about 20 years old.
"You're welcome," I smiled, seeing there were about 20 of them. "Now, since you're all Inklings, I'm going to tell you that my planet is the best option for you as of now, as this planet has been filled with chlorine. And you'll be joined by your other Inkling allies," I said, which made the one that spoke before to speak up again.
"Wait! C-Can I stick with you, please? I want to repay your kindness," she said, me smiling at that.
"Sure, we can help to put a stop to the rest of Eggman's plans," I smiled as Fengshue then warped the others away and then warped our group back to the resort alongside all of the Wisps we'd captured, which included the Dark Frenzy Wisps, which I saw were quite scared instead of angry. And we were soon joined by both of the other teams... as well as another alien that I didn't expect to see, especially in this lifetime!
"Uh, hi. I was told that you were the one to speak to," she said, me seeing it was a girl that had poofy lavender hair, a long, thin neck, two normal arms, and the rest of her body was in the form of a spaceship!
"Interplanet Janet?... Of all the people I expected, you were not one of them, I'm gonna be honest," I admitted, mainly because she was a character from Schoolhouse Rock!
"I was traveling through the stars and then I found this cool roller coaster in an asteroid belt. But then, a bald human captured me, hoping to find out my biology and to try and find more alien planets. And thus, that's how he found the other planets and started to change them drastically, such as Planet Shugrush, Inktopolis, Wisp, and the fleet of Hocotate," she explained.
"I see... well, we're going to protect you, got it?" I smiled at her. And she sighed.
"I still feel that you humans are so weird, especially when I found out you almost went extinct," she admitted to me.
"Yeah, well, I'm weird, I'll admit, but being weird isn't wrong, is it? It just depends on how you use the weirdness," I smirked as the Wisps then flew towards us and started to dance a bit... but then we looked up when we heard a large explosion, me then knowing that we had to start running.
"Uh-oh, trouble up above, lads and ladies," I said, pointing out that Eggman's collection had exploded when he tried to use the energies of the aliens he had already collected, which was now turning into a singularity!
"Oh no! A black hole! W-We need to get out of here, or we'll be ripped to shreds!" Brittany said with concern, me then looking at the Wisps and for them to start speaking.
"They're saying they can try to put a stop to the Singularity, but it will take some time to do so. We need to get as far away from it as possible before that happens," Janet said, me nodding at her as we then proceeded to start rushing towards the elevator and for the Inkling at our side (she had lime green hair and had it in a beehive style on her head, making her look more like an Octoling than an Inkling.
"By the way, my name is Annetta. If we get out of this alive, I want you to show me everything in human culture. I've been amazed with it ever since seeing human artifacts make their way to our planet from 10 thousand years ago," she asked, me nodding at that.
"Everything about human culture, huh? Does that include... y'know, the adult things?" I asked, which she smirked at.
"Wanting to experiment with an alien? You are quite weird, but I did say everything, so I'll give it a whirlpool," she smirked as we ran as fast as we could from the resort to the elevators, where we then proceeded to send one group into the first elevator and then, before our second group could do so, we then heard the sounds of Eggman as he appeared in his Nega Wisp Armor... (Nega is not a bad word, it means negative, not the bad word). And he then started to chortle.
"Ohohoho! You may have ruined all of my plans, but I can still get rid of the rest of you filthy Mobians using my Hyper Wisp Armor! It's designed with the same intentions as the laser and it can not only delete you lot, but all the witnesses of what you've seen here today!" Eggman chortled before I then revealed that I'd taped everything he said and then proceeded to hand them off to Janet, me then speaking to her after.
"Janet, you and the others head back down to Earth, get that evidence to the authorities. I'm gonna take this bastard down," I said, her nodding as she, Silver, Sally, and Charmy (everyone in the last of the groups) then went onto the elevator and zoomed down, me seeing that Eggman was about to aim a Frenzy Laser at them, me rushing forward and proceeding to go Super immediately to slam my foot into his left tentacle arm, which then threw his swing off and for me to get a clear shot at his cockpit, me doing just that and then zooming forward, which ended up getting the attention of an orange and pink wisp. He then growled and proceeded to stay a good distance and sent out a Frenzy Cube, me proceeding to send some of my own lasers out of my hands to get the cubes to go back to sender, me smirking at how it did critical damage to the mech! And it also got a red burst, a blue cube, a cyan laser, and a yellow drill Wisp to get to my side!
"You little pest! Take this!" Eggman shouted as he then sent forward a deluge of lasers at me, which I dodged each of them like I were in the Matrix, me then using the opportunity to rush in and slam my foot into the machine once more, which caused it to start short-circuiting and for me to get the rest of the Wisp varieties by my side, those being the white boost, indigo comet, crimson eagle, magenta rhythm, golden lightning, black bomb, gray quake, and purple frenzy! And I then smirked as they proceeded to go to form a giant circle.
"Boost! Laser! Drill! Rocket! Comet! Eagle! Rhythm! Cube! Hover! Rhythm! Spike! Lightning! Bomb! Quake! Frenzy!" I shouted each of them as they formed the circle before I then rushed to the center and we all then proceeded to slam our combined powers into the armor. "RAINBOW BLAST!" I shouted out loud, sending the robot far off into the edge of space and for Eggman himself to be in just his Eggmobile and to be thrown for a loop.
"AND THAT IS HOW THE EGGMAN GETS SCRAMBLED!" I shouted as I then felt the ground quake and I looked behind me to see the singularity was growing behind me. "And now to run away!" I shouted as I then rushed in my Super Form as fast as I could down the elevator, me flying only slightly faster than the singularity blast and feeling it on my backside constantly on the way down! And finally, by the time it reached halfway down the giant elevator pole, the Wisps had managed to completely pacify both the singularity and revitilize the Frenzies to be back to what they used to be! I then slammed myself down into the ground by the elevator, feeling tuckered out again as I let the emeralds out of my body.
"You made it! I can't believe you managed to do that all on your own!" Janet gawked at me, me smiling at her with a bit of a weary thumbs-up.
"Just another day for being a hero... and I didn't do it alone. I had help with the singularity," I smirked, her nodding at me before then looking at the place around us and sighing. "It's been ages since I've been to this planet... I can't believe that it would recover so beautifully after that nuclear war," Janet admitted as Shadow then asked her the most pressing question ever.
"Are you also a robot? Or is this how you were born?" Shadow asked her, Janet smiling at him.
"I happened to have been a creation of a far-off planet, given free will to explore the cosmos, so long as I sent them back data. But then, I found out why they wanted the data, to take over the universe. So, I sent that data to a universal space military that didn't take kindly to planets wanting to commit universal distress, and thus, they were dethroned," she smirked.
"Any chance you could share what the bad planet was?" Charmy asked with his usual curiosity.
"Yeah, who were they?" Tirsiak asked.
"It was known as the planet of Zeti, and they put up quite a fight before they all were soundly defeated. They have been in custody ever since," she said, me sighing in relief, and even more so when she spoke the next sentence. "They soon lived out their lives in solitude on a planet that had nothing but rocks on it. They have since gone extinct."
"What's with the sighs? They look like they're out of relief," Priscilla asked me.
"It's because the Zeti were the bad guys of one of the games, and it being one of the worst ones for that reason. But I'm not going into it, we just need to figure out what we're going to do as of now with everything involving the new arrivals to our planet," I said as I used the emeralds and rings' powers and saw that the new arrivals were now starting to spread word of what Eggman had done and how some were staying for good and that they needed to be spread word of how they were peaceful aliens and wanted to repay the kindness of Cheryl the Thirdbreed for rescuing them.
"If you're curious as to why I gave them your working title, it was to make things easier," Fengshue smiled at me.
"I knew you'd be doing something like that, Fengshue," I smirked at her.
"By the way, what are you going to do now, Janet?" Knuckles asked her, which she then sighed and thought for a bit.
"Honestly? I do not know... I should probably give the information of today to the Space Government about Eggman's recent events, but I can't sense him at all right now... not even his spirit seems to be around as of current," she admitted, me being confused at that.
"Wait, seriously? When did that happen?" I asked.
"It happened about five minutes after the singularity was defeated. It's almost as if he disappeared. But not from the Singularity... maybe we should use this opportunity to have ourselves a break? I know I could use one... but which planet do I go to in this solar system to have my break?" Janet asked, me frowning and shaking my head.
"How about this planet?" I asked, her looking at me in surprise.
"You're joking, right? I'm not used to all the diverse life on this planet. I'm more used to planets that have one or two species at the most. It's a bit much for me," she admitted, me sighing at that.
"I'm sure that Earth isn't the only planet of its kind to have multiple species of creatures, right? Sure, we might have the most amount, but other planets probably have almost as much as ours. Maybe we can try to train you in how to get used to so many species being around you at once?" I suggested, which Janet sighed at, emitting a tiny bit of smoke from her rocket underside.
"I'm still not sure, but you're correct in your assumption. Other planets have just as wide a diversity, and I have issues with visiting them as well... fine, I'll take your offer up. But I'm not going to be forced into situations, understood? And that includes perverted means," she said, me smiling and shaking my head at the last thing.
"I would never do it to an unwilling participant. And honestly? I'm not even sure how it'd work with a girl whose torso is a rocket ship," I admitted.
"I'd rather not go into it either," she admitted before Knuckles then looked at Priscilla with a smile.
"Well, that was quite an adventure, wasn't it, Knuckles?" she asked him.
"Yes, and I have the perfect way to end it," Knuckles smiled as he presented a ring to her, it being a ring that had a hunk of turqoise on it, which made Priscilla gasp. Why? It was a custom from her mother's line to accept turqouise rings for engagement.
"I-Is this what I think it is?" she asked in shock as Knuckles then knelt down to her.
"Priscilla. Will you marry me?" he asked, her smiling as tears of ice fell down her cheeks.
"Yes, yes I will!" she smiled as she then hugged Knuckles tight, me smiling at how it managed to make him creak in pain from the tight hug from the mini giantess, me smiling and separating them slightly with some Emerald magic.
"Easy, Prissy, you're crushing your fiancé," I smiled at her. And Knuckles then smiled at her and Tirsiak finally gave a big smile to a friend she'd known for thousands of years.
"I'm so happy for you, Priscilla. I wish the two of you the best of wishes," she smiled as I then spoke up.
"I think I know the perfect venue for the wedding, guys. Mighty's restaurant has started doing wedding services," I smiled at them.
"I'd be forever grateful if you could assist in getting our wedding made, Cheryl. I'd never had expected that I'd finally find joy and peace from someone like you," she smiled, me smirking at her happily.
"And maybe we could also have it before your birthday comes up? Doesn't your birthday happen in September?" Charmy asked, me smiling at that.
"That's right, Charmy, my birthday is September 9th. And I think we can make the wedding happen a week beforehand! And I can invite everyone that helped in this adventure AND everyone that we've encountered in our other adventures," I smiled. I knew it'd be a big risk, considering the plot of Generations, but I just had to hope that Eggman would learn when he had been beaten... I had to hope.
Eggman, shortly after being launched once again by the despicable Cheryl, was left in the void of space alongside Orbot and Cubot, both of whom were talking too much.
"All I wanna do is talktalktalk! Hey, remember when we were goinafter those littlealienguys?! Whatwasevenupwiththemanyway?! Cubot spoke loudly with his original voice chip. Eggman knew he had to fix it in the future.
"Ugh, if only I could have the empty void of space right now. Of all the plans that have been thwarted, none of these more recent ones are Sonic's fault at all! It's mostly Cheryl and her stupid friends!" Eggman growled angrily to himself. "I need to find some way to fix these mess ups. I need to stop her once and for all!... But how is the question?" he grumbled to himself before he then saw... something.
It seemed to be a dark creature right in front of him, almost ethereal in shape and immobile. Eggman then proceeded to, on a chance, use his scanner to check its strength. And color him surprised whenever the scanner said the most impossible thing it could ever say.
"I-I-Infinity?! This creature has limitless potential... I've got it! I can use this creature to make my dreams reality!" Eggman smirked as he then proceeded to use a small item on his eggmobile to suck up the creature, it being the last remnants of the Dark Gaia beam he would've used on Cheryl, mixed with the Nega Wisp laser that would've destroyed her. He zapped the creature and it entered into his machine, which Eggman gawked at how the interior of his Eggmobile suddenly became imbued with energy! He then saw a slew of sights on his screen, each being of the different plans he'd tried in the past and how they had failed. And he then smiled as he had a realization.
"Of course! TIME TRAVEL! I can not only stop Sonic from defeating my oldest plans, but I can even go further, stopping all of Cheryl's plans she did to me in the later years! I CAN HAVE THE LAST LAUGH!" Eggman shouted happily and exuberantly before then grabbing his two robots with a claw machine attachment and speaking loudly. "Time to travel, boyos! We've got some schemes to make! OHOHOHOHO!" Eggman chortled before the three of them then disappeared into the time stream itself.
