Biography:

Born in the land of Hellias, in Mundus Magicus, Jack Rakan was an impoverished child slave. Throwing himself into the brutal life of a gladiator, he trained himself very hard, into physical supremacy, and ruled the arena fight circuit.

After that, Rakan turned into a mercenary. One job of his entailed capturing Nagi Springfield, who was only thirteen years old at that time, and Konoe Eishun. He befriended them and joined his band of freedom fighters, the Ala Rubra. They, along with a young Takamichi Takahata and Kurt Godel, Imma Albireo, Gateau Kagura Vandenburg, and Filius Zect, fought Ialda Baoth the Mage of the Beginning and his forces.

Ala Rubra foiled a conspiracy to frame princess Arika Anarchia Entheofushia (also summonable as a Saber) and take over the kingdom of Ostia. Arika would eventually marry Nagi. However, Ala Rubra suffered a setback when Ialda Baoth took over Nagi's body, and they disbanded.

Ten years later, Nagi and Arika's son Negi Springfield looked for Rakan's help defeating Fate Averruncus. Rakan agreed to train Negi, aiding him to master the forbidden dark technique of Magia Erebea. He later helped Negi's Ala Alba and the survivors of Ala Rubra to save Mundus Magicus from Ialda Baoth's global assimilation plan.

In an alternate future, Rakan and Albireo were puppets of Ialda, now residing within Negi's body. Thanks to the UQ Holder organization, mainly Konoe Touta (also summonable as a Saber), Negi, Rakan and Albireo were freed and resumed their lives in peace.

Class Skills:

Riding: D

Saber would rather travel on foot and has no known feats of riding anything. Under pressure he can drive a car badly or ride a horse, but he will grumble while doing so. Manning aerial vehicles is impossible for him.

Saber lacks an aptitude to ride dragons or phantasmal beasts.

Magic Resistance: A+

He fought the greatest magic users of his lifetime. He WAS one of the greatest magic users of his lifetime.

An ultimate broken secret boss type of character. Most magic cannot scratch him. He doesn't even notice spells cast at him by human magi. As noted below, he once briefly returned from having his whole body deleted by a program of magic created by Ialda to destroy magical beings like him.

Personal Skills:

Idiot Hero: EX

Saber takes great pride from acting like a loud and bombastic idiot. He claims this powers his body and his attacks up, calling himself, along Nagi, one of the embodiments of the old macho shounen superhero archetype. This includes a perchance for naming his attacks, and those of his disciples, in long and elaborate ways meant to catch the attention of others.

A few of these attacks recorded in the annals of Mundus Magicus history include:

Eternal Negi Fever - Saber blasts a powerful and destructive laser-like attack from his body. As obvious from the description, it was designed for Negi, but Rakan liked it so much he added it to his own arsenal.

Rakan Impact - Saber charges magical power and chi combined, performs a spiral-like motion with his fist and releases his loaded power, firing off a highly powerful and destructive blast.

Rakan Hariken Sho - Saber digs a hand into his opponent's abdomen and twists his palm to generate enough spiraling force to cause considerable internal injury and shock.

Imperial Type 97 Battering Ram Form Magical Armour Rakan for the Hell of it Right Hand Punch- A powerful and explosive punch, so much so that the entire area Saber is battling in shook with its force.

Rakan Soyokaze Bakufūken- Saber creates tempest whirlwinds at speeds of 100km per hour around the target while the target feels nothing by a gentle breeze.

He is also a big pervert and a lecher, fond of stealing females' underwear, and likes to taunt his enemies, most especially girls, in battle.

Eye of the Mind (True): A

Despite his ridiculous personality, which to some degree is consciously played up as a facade to mask his deviousness from unaware foes, Saber is a considerably clever warrior, one who can analyze the abilities of his opponents and pinpoint their weaknesses on the fly. This does not only apply to countering combat techniques, but also duplicating them from a single careful study. He is also a competent teacher relaying this information to his disciples, and has a talent for expressing himself through words and actions alike, getting his point in a way that is blunt and crude, but also precise and to the point; detailed yet easy to grasp.

He is also surprisingly gifted as an artist, and his drawings and schematics can be, if he feels like it, amazingly detailed even if he would sketch them hurriedly and with inferior materials.

Battle Continuation: EX

A skill that allows for the continuation of combat after sustaining mortal wounds. It will also reduce mortality rate from injury. This Skill represents the ability to survive and/or the mentality of one who doesn't know when to give up, consisting of one's strength of vitality in predicaments. It is also one of the powers of a vampire. The best result is achieved when a resilient body is combined with this Skill.

Saber is too dumb to know when he's licked, and even if he knew, he wouldn't care. He won't sit back until his enemy is stomped into a paste! You'd better believe that!

In one of his most famous feats, he could briefly return from complete obliteration by the Code of the Lifemaker, to cheer his friends up.

Master of Weapons: A

Saber not only is an expert on hand to hand and chi-based combat. He is also heavily skilled in the usage of a variety of bladed weapons. However, the weapon he favors most is a gigantic sword he traveled with during his days along Ala Rubra. It has granted him the class of a Saber. His favorite techniques at using this blade are:

Zan Kan Ken - Saber crashes his sword down on his enemies with great force.

Hidden Blade Surfing Rakan- Saber rides on his blade, which he sends flying at the target with great speed, and attacks them upon the moment of impact.

Noble Phantasm:

Ho Heroes Meta Chilion Prosopon- The Hero of a Thousand Faces: EX

Saber's Artifact, gained from a Pactio with Nagi, can transform into any type of weapon at his will. In his words his Artifact can transform into "any shape imaginable", from multiple weapons of any kind to armor (which can act as replacement prosthetic limbs if need be). Saber activates it by waving his Pactio card around.

His favorite form of this attack brings along a rain of weapons all around him, littering the battlefield with sharp objects he can grab and use as he pleases.

For practical effects it is an equivalent to a Gate of Babylon (albeit limited to weapons) or Unlimited Blade Works, but Rakan is more skilled at fighting with the weapons he pulls than Gilgamesh.

Summoning: "What is the payment? Yeah, yeah, I mean you! I summoned myself in the Saber class, isn't that the finest one? My services don't come cheap, you know! And a Saber is an extra! You are saying... You don't know who I am? JACK RAKAN! How can you NOT know who Jack Rakan is You're giving me a headache!"

Start of Battle:

"I feel sorry for you!"

"Want to back off? No? Too bad!"

"I was just passing by, and then I decided to kick your ass!"

"I won't be paid a lot for this! That's too bad!"

Attack:

"Hyo!"

"Super-Incredibly Awesome Default Standard Rakan Punch!"

"Mega Hyper Turbo Edition Rakan Kick!"

"Blow-your-Teeth Up Rakan Connect of Win!"

Damage:

"Wowza!"

"Feisty one!"

"What a ride!"

"I'm actually enjoying this?"

"Heh!"

Victory:

"Go and tell your friends Jack Rakan kicked your ass!"

"Don't feel too bad! There's legions of people I beat up!"

"It's time for celebration now! Bring on the best booze!"

"This is how it's done, Negi!"

"I have so many victory quotes to pick from, but let's make this quick..."

"You weren't feeling in the mood, were you?"

Defeat:

"This is the day you defeated Jack Rakan! You'll remember it for the rest of your life!"

"You peaked early in life! After this feat nothing can compare!"

"We should be friends! We'd be great on the same side!"

"Not as strong as Nagi, but alright!"

Defeat by Noble Phantasm:

"Aw, crap. It's like Konoka said, I'm always leaving my messes up for others to clean..."

Noble Phantasm Activation: "Pay attention! Look carefully! Pull the camera out! You don't want to miss this... Adeat! The Hero of a Thousand Faces!"

Extra Dialogue:

"Yosh! That's a damn fine arsenal of weapons you got there, Mister! Mind letting me use a few? I want to get a good feeling for them!" (When you have Archer Gilgamesh).

"A knight in sour armor! His skill is very, very cool, and his cache of weapons is top notch, it makes me drool! But what's with that attitude? You'll burn yourself out, Sonny! Learn to live a little!" (When you have Archer EMIYA).

"Hey, Glasses! I knew you couldn't stay away from Negi for long! You sure you've grown stronger? This is no place for sissies! Okay! That was a nice punch!" (When you have Alter Ego Hasegawa Chisame).

Oi, Negi! You have been slacking at your training, haven't you? What do I mean? Whaddya mean what do I mean! No excuses! You always can push past the limits of your Saint Graph, if you work hard enough!" (When you have Caster or Berserker Negi Springfield).

"HO HO HO HA HA HA! This guy gets it! I like you a lot, buddy! Come on, let's go party in a GOLDEN way!" (When you have Berserker or Rider Kintoki).

Birthday: "Hey, Master, I brought you the ultimate birthday gift! That's right, we're gonna train all day long! So you can get pecs like these! Look at 'em!"

Event: "I think Nero's over there! Look at the size of those cans! Yoo-hooo!"

Holy Grail: "If I wanted an utopia for myself I'd have sided with Cosmo Entelecheia!"

At first I feared some of Rakan's stats might feel too low, since he can be such a broken 'joke' character, but the point, to a part, is that he goes well and beyond the limits of what can be thought reasonable on a regular basis. So maybe the best thing would be giving him high but not that much higher than the Fate elite stats, and then regardless playing him as a SNK hard boss character breaking in universe expectations? Am I getting the point across?

This, I hope, is reflected through the Personal Skills anyway.

After all, I already played the 'idiotically high stats' straight on paper with Dana, from the same lore, and I didn't want this to feel like a repeat.

To be Continued.
