Meet Otter
"Not here… Not here… NOT HERE! Changeling wherever you are, howl or something!"
Suddenly, an ear piercing noise came from the back of the web. Azalea swam towards it, and there was Changeling. She had her snout on her paws, her tail wrapped around her curled up body, and a forlorn expression painted on her face.
"Oh, poor Changeling." Azalea swam toward her. And then a few bubbles escaped her lips, and she was drowning. Azalea puffed her cheeks out, and made it the final way to Changeling's cage. She undid the lock, and passed out.
Darkness. Less darkness. Darkness. Less Darkness. Drip. Drip. Drip. Azalea looked around and saw she was in Changeling's cage. She was laying down. Changeling was standing over her, washing Azalea's scales with a little piece of moss that had been taken down with her.
"W-what's going on? Did soldiers come and lock us both in here? Ghost and Shade!"
"They'll be fine. They're Ghost and Shade. Now get up you soggy lump." Azalea shakily stood up. She looked down and realized that she was knee deep in water.
"What happened?"
"Well, you unlocked my cage. Then you passed out. I couldn't let my friend drown, so I slipped out of my cage. I grabbed you and slipped back in. Even if the DiveWings trapped me in a cage, I gotta thank them for not just immediately drowning me."
Azalea tested out moving and was glad to realize she was fine. She slid out of the cage, and grabbed Changeling to follow. Azalea knew she didn't have much time before she ran out of air again, but she pushed upward.
"You're not gonna escape like that." Azalea spun around to see a female DIveWing, teal in color, with a serious expression on her face. Azalea took Changeling's paw and swam frantically upward. She broke the surface and took a breath, only to be pushed back down by a glass wall stretching over the sea.
"I told you. You can't get up that way."
"Well, take us back to the cage already then." Azalea huffed.
"I'm not going to do that. I'm going to show you the way out. Follow me."
"DiveWing. What's your name?" Changeling called.
"Otter. I'm Otter."
