Author's Note: So I previously published this story a year ago when I was new to fanfiction but after re-reading it I realised the format was bad so I deleted and revamped it a bit, here is the new structured version with chapters. So if the content is the same but structured, I apologise. Anyway hope you like the new, modified Version. Enjoy!

Kassandra was a Spartan misthos who had been sent to Elysium by her father Pythagoras to figure out and learn how to use the Staff's powers after it gained her immortality .

On her arrival she was greeted by a dog licking her face and a handsome young Greek god with blonde hair . His name was Hermes and he was the messenger god. Kassandra was struck back by his beauty .

After Natakas she had felt low , hollow and sad and couldn't bring herself to love another . As whenever she got too close to someone they always had to die . From Myrinne to Phoibe , Brasidas , Natakas and many more . She realised she was better on her own . However when she saw Hermes, Strong feelings of love came back . Something she hasn't felt in ages she was almost overwhelmed by it .

Before she could dwell on it any longer, Hermes spoke up. "Keeper, Kassandra Welcome to Elysium!" he said in his gruff voice gesturing with his arms .

Kassandra jumped back in shock, surprised to know the Greek god knew her name. Alert and suspicious she jumped back with her spear in hand. "Tell me who you are before I kill you" she threatened.

The handsome man laughed. "I'm Hermes, the Greek messenger god. I know why you're here. It's because of the spear isn't it. Your Pythagoras daughter".

Upon hearing this, Kassandra lowered her spear. She was in awe, growing up Hermes was her idol and favourite god. Now he was standing in front of her in Elysium, his home.

She couldn't believe it. Everything happened so fast. It was crazy. She grew up her whole life believing Nikolaos the wolf of sparta was her real father only to realise it was Pythagoras which was already a shock and now she was in Elysium despite not being dead and her idol Hermes was in front of her, and he was a lot more handsome than she expected.

"Hermes? And yes I am Pythagoras daughter and yes he sent me here. I've been worshipping you since I was a young girl and I've always dreamt of meeting you in Elysium and here we are".

She looked around at the beautiful waterfalls and scenery of Elysium in a daze, it felt unreal and felt like a dream only it wasn't.

When she came to her realisation curiosity had gotten the better of her. "Still, how do you know who I am? Do you gods really know everything?" she questioned turning back to Hermes.

He looked back at her answering. "The staff is actually mine, I engineered it at my workshop before giving it to your Father as the first keeper. We kept in touch throughout while he looked after it. We kept in contact regularly . He told me everything about your Mother Myrinne, and then you."

He paused. "Before he gave the staff to you and passed away he told me to keep an eye out for you once you reached Elysium as you were the new keeper of my staff that's how."

Kassandra nodded , everything made sense now. Pythagoras had known Hermes while she was in Sparta and Kephollinia growing up all this time. Still she remembered her objective. Which was to learn how to use the spear as fast as possible and get back to the mortal world, after all she was only a demi-god and wasn't fully a god yet so she would always be out of place no matter how welcoming Hermes was to her. Possibly only because of his connection to her Father previously and the fact that she had one of his spears.

Cutting that out of her thoughts, she asked straight to the point. "Once I find parts of your keys to strengthen the spear so that I can use its full powers, How exactly do I get out of here? We both know that I don't belong here, not fully and I need to go back to the mortal world and Greece. I have other things to do there".

Hermes nodded , fully understanding the situation. "There is a gate. But you need to get through Persephone first and it's not easy, as Hades' wife and queen of Elysium she is very powerful. I suggest doing her some favours whatever she asks to gain her trust then you can think about escaping and leaving after that". He answered truthfully.

"Elysium may look like a paradise to you, however it is very complicated and everyone has some dark secrets of their own".

Kassandra frowned and was about to ask Hermes further as to what he meant by this but he cut her off before she could speak.

"Anyway, why am I telling you this?" he waved dismissively with his hand. "You don't understand the staff itself yet so you wouldn't understand this".

Kassandra was stunned by his sudden bluntness. All Positive feelings about Hermes vanished completely at that second. She was fuming deep inside. How dare he assume she was stupid. She was even more determined to prove herself and prove him wrong now.

"I'm talking to Persephone now I'm going to confront her at her palace" she fumed back towards Hermes arms crossed.

He didn't seem fazed and replied nonchalantly . "Meet me at Minos' Faith when you're done Kassandra" and he walked off.

Will Kassandra be able to prove Hermes wrong and what happens when she comes back to Minos' Faith, find out in the next chapter! Once again don't forget to favourite and review.
