This is a Redemption story / Shipping between Neji Hyūga and a Sound Kunoichi named Kin Tsuchi.

Within the tower at the center of the Forest of Death, everyone's eyes turned toward the board as the next set if names had flashed. Temari had recently defeated Tenten within the preliminaries. Now, everyone was waiting to see which two Shinobi were gonna fight, next.

Rock Lee and Naruto Uzumaki yelled as they wanted to be the next ones to fight in combat.

The screen had stopped scambling names and showed two names of Shinobi.

Neji Hyūga vs. Kin Tsuchi

"Hmph," Neji saw his name be brought up on the large screen and showed little to no reaction.

"Aw, man!" Both Naruto and Rock Lee had pouted as they noticed their names had not been shown on the large screen. Naruto leaned his arms on the rails in disappointment.

'Looks like Neji is up, next.' Might Gai had thought.

'Do your best, Nii-san.' Hinata had silently prayed for Neji.

Kin Tsuchi had begun to slowly walk down the stairs, until she had been stopped by her teammate, Dosu Kinuta.

"Be careful with this guy. I don't know what his abilities are, except that his eyes can see right through us." Dosu had quietly warned Kin, before she walked down the stairs.

"See through us, huh?" Kin chuckled. 'Well, if that's the case, I'll try and take them out.' Kin thought of taking out Neji's eyes.

Two minutes later and the combatants had stood four yards from across each other. They did not utter a single word to each other.

'I've witnessed her teammate's abilities. But I do not know what her abilities are.' Neji had thought.

'Hmph! When the match starts, I'll quickly go for his eyes with my senbon. I don't care if you are handsome.' Kin smiled, confidently.

Hayate Gecko had looked at both combatants and knew that they were both ready to fight. "Let the fight begin!" Hayate yelled when he threw his hands downward.

Neji had quickly taken his Gentle Fist fighting stance.

'So, he's another combatant, like his green-suit friend.' Dosu thought, then looked across the stage and looked directly toward Rock Lee, whom was focusing on the match between Neji and Kin.

'So, he wants to fight me in close quarters combat, huh? Well, too bad. Not gonna happen!' Kin quickly jumped back a few yards, grabbed two senbon from her right pant pocket and threw them directly toward Neji.

'Senbon!' Neji quickly thought and dodged them by moving his body a few feet to the right. The senbon had hit the wall behind Neji. Neji had quickly looked behind himself and noticed both the senbon Kin had thrown had a bell attached to them. 'Bells? She must be trying to confuse me with sound. Assuming that someone's appeared behind me.' Neji then looked forward at Kin. 'I'll make this fight quick.' As soon as Neji had taken a single step forward, he had begun to hear bells ring from behind, which caught his attention. 'Hm?' Neji looked back at the wall once more and noticed something was odd. He had taken a good look at the senbon that Kin had thrown at him and noticed... that a long thin thread was attached to the end of the bell, which made the bell ring. 'A thread?' After learning of Kin's trick, Neji then attempted to turn his head back around and look toward his opponent. And as soon as he did, Neji was met by two regular senbon thrown by Kin Tsuchi. They in close range, just a few centimeters away from piercing his Byakugan.

A moment later, a few drops of blood had spilled onto the ground.

Hinata silently gasped when she saw Neji get hit with two senbon. 'Nii-san!'

Rock Lee and Naruto gasped when they saw what happened.

'She didn't even hesitate to go straight for the eyes.' Kakashi had thought as he stared at Kin.

'Does she know about the Byakugan?' Might Gai had thought.

'Good.' Dosu had thought.

"Hmph." Kin confidently smiled.

"Trying to take out my Byakugan was a big mistake." Neji said with a frown.

Kin had gasped.

Dosu had gasped, as well.

"What?" Kin had stared forward and saw that Neji had blocked her senbons with his right arm. One senbon had pierced Neji's right palm and the other senbon had pierced Neji's right wrist, just a few inches below the vein. "But, how could I have missed?" She asked as Neji lowered his right arm, which he had quickly used to cover his eyes. "They were going straight for your eyes!"

"So, you admit. You were trying to take out my Byakugan." Neji said as he frowned and removed the senbons from his right arm.

Hinata smiled in relief after learning that Neji had blocked Kin's senbon with her arm. 'Nii-san is okay!'

"I was going to go easy on you. But since you like to play dirty-along with your friends..." Neji had closed his eyes for a moment. In the next three seconds, Neji had reopened them and activated his Byakugan in both eyes. "I'll show you no mercy!"

"Tch!" Kin had gasped in fear, when she had witnessed Neji's Byakugan and frustration.

Neji did not waste and moment and quickly ran toward Kin at top speed. As soon as Neji had came within point blank range... he had used his Gentle Fist on Kin and struck her multiple chakra points within the chest area.

Kin had gasped as she had felt the impact of Neji's last Gentle Fist attack. She was knocked back to the wall and was out of breath. 'He's fast... and his attacks were so strong...' Kin fell to her knees. 'I had no chance of winning at all.' Kin thought as she slowly fell down on her face.

"Mmph," Dosu muffled. 'Kin lost to someone that strong?' He thought as he stared at Neji from above.

Neji then turned his back away from an unconscious Kin Tsuchi and crossed his arms. "You disgust me." He muttered.

Hayate Gecko stared at the unconscious Kin Tsuchi. "The winner is Neji Hyūga."

Hinata had smiled.

"Alright! Way to go, Neji!" Might Gai had praised Neji for his victory.

"You did it, Neji!" Rock Lee had also acknowledged Neji's victory.

Kin Tsuchi was quickly escorted away on a stretcher by doctors.

Neji Hyuuga walked up the stairs to reunite with his teammate and sensei. As he walked up there stairs... Neji was immediately approached by his cousin, Hinata, who seemed happy for him.

"Congratulations, Nii-san..." Hinata said, but was then shut down by Neji.

"Don't talk to me." Neji muttered to Hinata in a cold tone.

Hinata gasped, shockingly. She stood in place for a moment after Neji had passed her. Hinata then looked down gained a depressed look on her face.

Neji then reunited with Rock Lee and his sensei, Might Guy who congratulated him.

"I knew you had it in you, Neji." Might Gai said as he grasped Neji's shoulders witha smile on his face.

"Just you wait, Neji! I'm going to win my match, next! And then, we're going to have our ultimate showdown!" Rock Lee gave Neji a thumbs up.

"Hmph." In your dreams." Neji said as he turned his head and looked away from Neji.

"Alright." Hayate had called.

"Huh?" Rock Lee looked down at Hayate Gecko from above. So did everyone else.

"Now, for the next matchup." Hayate Gecko said, then the screen starts scrambling the names of Shinobi who had not fought, yet. It had taken twenty seconds for the screen to choose the next two combatants.

Naruto Uzumaki vs. Kiba Inuzuka

"Alright!" Naruto screamed in excitement.

"Yes! Let's show everyone what we're made of, Akamaru!" Kiba yelled in excitement.

"Bark!"
