"Hey Addams, got a package for you."
Wednesday didn't look up from her typewriter at the reasoning, but she did pause in typing out the next line. "Alright then." She says trying to remember if her mother or her father had said anything to her about sending her anything during their last crystal call.
She didn't recall any such warning as she turned to glance in the direction of the lingering figure yet to move from beside Wednesday's desk.
"Anything more?" Wednesday demands giving the dropped-off package another curious glare before said glare lifted toward its deliverer.
Yoko slides her sunglasses lower on her nose meeting the leveled death glare with a teasing smile "Claws in Addams, you're not intimidating anyone." She laughs off. "besides everyone important already knows you're just pouting cause your wolf's still MIA another week."
Wednesday chewed the inside of her cheek at the aching reminder of her golden-haired roommate's prolonged absence soon tasting the comforting bite of iron from her own blood dripping onto her tongue the longer the unwanted conversation drug on.
"Alright, alright I'm going Jez." Yoko scoffs at Thing's knuckle popping and snapping as the severed hand of Wednesday's best friend reappeared around the half-closed door after the unexpected delivery had been brought in.
"You're late." The dark-haired Addams scolds when the door is finally pulled closed behind the exiting vampire. Thing gave a lighter knuckle cracking in apology before producing a folded page seemingly out of thin air as he scuttled forward enough to pass it to her before allowing to be swept up and carried over to Wednesday's current traded side of her and Enid's shared space.
Pity the sheets had stopped carrying her wolf's scent three days before but Wednesday had still chosen to rest herself among them anyway. Just as she does now as she settles in among Enda's left blankets for the night.
"Saw this scrolling late at night a few weeks ago and I couldn't Not get it. Also warning you if you don't already know I'm going to be back late by the time you get this. Sending for a stand-in for snuggles in my absence, I completely understand. Look how cute it is." The note reads as Wednesday balances the mystery box against her lap a little while longer.
The addition of the winking wolf emoji in closing of the typed-in message has what passed for a smile crossing Wednesday's scowling mouth as the dark-haired girl sets the note aside to dig a little deeper into the blue-colored tissue paper tucked inside the equally brightly colored delivery box.
If she closed her eyes Wednesday was positive she could hear her wolf's musical voice giggling against her ear when she finished unwrapping her gift "Get it? It's Franken-Bat. It's cute yet spooky. Like you." The Enid voice inside her head hums as Wednesday looks down at the green-colored plush bat tucked with folded wings inside the box.
"See it even has those adorable little neck bolts."
Wednesday rolls her eyes at the phantom voice inside her mind but can't help but snuggle the stitched holiday-themed bat a little closer.
And that's how a late returning werewolf girl finds her dead to the world girlfriend after dragging her tired body back up to the pair's shared room.
Wednesday curled up among the brighter-colored blankets Enid had left for this exact reason as she quietly stripped out of most of her blood and grime-covered clothes to slip under the covers in the sliver of open space Wednesday had left her.
"Guess you like it huh?" the wolf girl asks with a tired sigh of a laugh when as soon as she'd settled in against the mattress Wednesday had curled against her side the gifted 'franken bat' now squished between them as Endi melts into the embrace.
"I find it tolerable." Wednesday answers without opening her eyes or lifting her head from its new pillowed place against Enid's shoulder as they snuggle closer under their now shared blanket. "Thank you."
"Anytime." The wolf girl yawns nuzzling her nose against the unbraided dark-colored locks as she sleepily cradles the other girl closer as the pair drift off to sleep.
