The Feuding Dragons

Welcome to my SYOC! In this story, we explore what would have happened if Rhaegar won Robert's rebellion. This story will take place 20 years after Robert's failed Rebellion. In this story, Jaime still kills King Aerys, and Rhaegar still annuls his marriage to Elia Martell, and married Lyanna in secret - the two run away together still. Lyanna still gives birth to this story's version of Jon Snow (name subject to change).

Now, the changes - I will cover these house by house. Some of this will be repetitive as information belongs to multiple sections.

House Targaryen

Rhaeger wins the rebellion, but loses Lyanna to childbirth. Rhaeger, left with no other choice, marries Cersei as he will need Lannister support in the event that House Martell strikes. Together, they have 3 children (all submittable OCs).

House Martell

Following her annulment, Elia takes her children with her to Dorne both of whom are married by now, possibly to each other. Dornish relations are strained as a result. I think everything else would stick to canon - if you think I am incorrect please correct me via PM! Elia's children are submittable OCs.

House Stark

Ned is sent to the wall as punishment for his participation in Robert's Rebellion. Robb Stark is stillborn. Benjen becomes Warden of the North, and to keep the alliance with the Riverlands, marries Catelyn. Together they have 2 children (submittable OCs).

In exchange for peace, Benjen demands that Rhaegar and Lyanna's son is raised in Winterfell, Rhaegar agrees to have the boy fostered there - Jon Snow is now a submittable OC as this would vastly change his upbringing and personality.

House Lannister

Jaime, found guilty of treason, is sent to the wall. In order to appease Tywin Lannister, Rhaegar marries Cersei Lannister. Kevan Lannister becomes Tywin's heir, as Tywin would never leave Casterly Rock to Tyrion, and Jaime is no longer a viable option.

House Baratheon

Fell to Stannis Baratheon, and Renly was taken in as a ward of Rhaegar to ensure Stannis remained loyal.

Rules for Submission

1) Nobody is perfect, not even your character - be realistic and give the flaws both physically and personality based.

2) Be realistic for the time period, as well as your character's upbringing.

3) To submit, please PM me the idea for your character - be semi-detailed as I need a good understanding of them in order to decide whether or not I'd like to use them in the story. If I decide to go forward with your idea, I will send you a full character form!

4) Not all characters have to be from the houses listed above, you are free to make submissions outside of them.

5) Have fun!
