Prologue
A year has passed since the Ruins of the empire and Wu is forming independent cities in the new "Earth Republic '' and the Republic City government is stepping in to help. Thanks to their money and resources a lot of the leaders of those lands just handed them control causing Republic city to grow bigger and bigger and its influence spreading across water tribes and the earth kingdom. Which made Republic City one of the richest and most popular areas in the world. Unfortunately, in a shocking move Avatar Korra and her friends were not allowed to participate in the movement; a decision made by the United Nations in a vote. This is due to their previous records, documented in a book about their adventures. Bai, a world-famous author known for the spirit warrior series and the light chronicles, wrote a biography about the avatar and her friend's life from her battle with the equalist to her moments in the earth kingdom, and the biography became a bestseller. Bai was careful in getting references not just from Korra and her team, but everyone who met them. The biography did two things, one helped Korra and her friend's reputation, which led to the creation of an entire Fanclub, and two created visceral hate, unfortunately the United Nations are mostly going to the visceral hate side due to them thinking that a person like this is not fit for issues like the ones there dealing with, and the Fanclub is very small. This is what Bai has to say about the controversy "I am aware that this book was supposed to be a celebratory piece on how great of an avatar Korra is, but part of a biography included listing their mistakes, so people could learn from them. I've done extensive research on every avatar, beyond what they tell in escapism stories, and found out that some avatars are better and worst then Korra.'' On the earth republic side not every nation was positive, people who are still loyal to the monarch are protesting Wu's new plan along with a lot of other private countries who think republic city influences are bad, however the protest mostly died down for some unknown reason, however this gave way to groups who said democracy and republic cities way of life should be in every nation including the fire nation.
