Chapter 1 : The Ice General
Captain Levi and Commander Erwin are having a meeting with the council regarding Survey Corps. As Commander Erwn is being transferred, Captain Levi is surprised to know that they will have a new General, along with a new squad. Before they came, however, the council considered that they needed to warn them about this new addition. They described the Jaegers (name given to the squad by their General) as an unit created for the protection against criminal activity in the Capital.
"What a shitty name of a squad. Their General must be very creative"added Levi taking a small sip from his tea.
The council continued Ignoring Levi remark. Regarding Esdeath however, they described her as complicated, having a low tolerance for people of whom she deems weak.
"Tch, and why should this damn thing be of such importance to tell us?"The council wanted to explain, but they suddenly stop. The door opened and four people entered , one keeping the door open for the General. When General Esdeath entered , Captain Levi remarked that the council seemed to tremble in fear, while she just smiled. General Esdeath was a tall, beautiful and slender woman with long, light blue hair and blue eyes. She wore a General's apparel with long sleeves with buttons on the upper arms, a blue scarf on her neck and high-heeled boots. She also had a sign on her her huge chest that seemed top unique not to be remarked. The other five people lacked the same commanding presence.
After they sat down, Esdeath got straight to the point and asked him and Erwin bluntly if they are aware of her powers. Levi and Ewin looked at each other intrigued. As no one said anything, Esdeath got up and in seconds, the entire room started to be covered in ice.
Ice spread throughout the room, symbolizing Esdeath's terrifying power. The council looked on in horror, while Levi couldn't help but feel a strange mixture of emotions.
As the ice continued to encase the room, Levi's eyes never wavered from Esdeath's icy blue gaze. He could sense a sadistic pleasure she derived from displaying her power, the thrill she obtained from instilling fear in others.
Captain Levi glanced at Erwin and it seem that he was analyzing what was happening. Levinwanted to take another sip from his tea, but it was all frozen.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Levi, Esdeath's smile widened as she observed their reaction. She had expected fear and submission, but looking at the man sitting beside the bllond one, she noticed that he had no emotion on his face. When he looked at her, something about the way he met her gaze with unwavering determination sparked a curiosity within her. It was a rarity to find someone who seemed to resist her power without succumbing to fear.
Finally, with a sweeping motion of her hand, Esdeath ceased her display of power, allowing the room to slowly thaw. The council officials let out a collective sigh of relief, their fear dissipating alongside the melting ice.
The Jaegers didn't have any reaction. They were already used with her display of power.
As the meeting drew to a close, Esdeath rose from her seat, her commanding presence filling the room. Her squad also rose up from their seat and hurried to get the door for Esdeath. She acknowledged Levi and Erwin with a chilling smile and before making her exit, she took one last last glance at Captain Levi.
"I hope you won't dissapoint me, Captain I am looking forwaed to see the skills of humanity strongest soldier."
Levi and Erwin exchanged a wary glance, silently acknowledging the new threat they would have to face.
"What a fucked up situation", added Levi.
With Esdeath as their new General, the Survey Corps would undoubtedly face unprecedented challenges.
