The group has just finished driving Venger off with assist from an unforeseen storm overhead that forces Venger and his forces to retreat.
The heroes press on through the fierce winds while lightning cracks across the sky above them. Uni is leaning up against Bobby, who is leaning against Sheila, whom she is leaning on Hank.
They find themselves walking over a ridge to find a castle and a village in the middle of a desolate landscape. Eric, "Shesh, talk about a place that needs a major makeover." Hank, "Well maybe whoever lives here can give us some help." Eric, "And how do we know this isn't another one of Venger's residence. This looks like the kind of place he would live in." Diana, "I don't think so Eric. Since he was driven away from here. I don't think this place is welcoming to him." Eric, "Yeah, if he doesn't want anything to do with it. Maybe that's a good reason to go in the opposite direction."
"Though sometimes the place that is the least inviting is also the place where help is needed most," says Dungeon Master as he appears. Eric in his characteristic snark, "Oh great another bit of danger that our good friend Dungeon Master wants us to walk into." Bobby remarking, "Gesh how rude Eric." With Uni going "Blah!" in response."
Hank steps up to ask DM, "So what or who is here that needs our help?" Dungeon Master makes a magic projection as he explains and a young red-haired girl in fancy cloths appears. Who looks no older than Bobby. "You are to help the new queen of this troubled kingdom. The young child queen Salene. Help find what has been lost to her. Save her kingdom from her, and you may find the way home."
Diana asks, "What do you mean by help her but save her kingdom from her?" DM, "You will find those answers when you see her." Eric, "Oh sure and how are we suppose to do that? Just knock on the gate and asks to see the queen. Then they will just bring us to her." DM, "No instead I shall bring you to her." Then with a wave of his arms he transports them into the queens throne room while she's pacing in a near panic. When she sees them she in a panic asks, "Who are you? And, how'd you get in here? Guards…!" Hank implores, "Wait! Queen Salene. We're not here to hurt you or steal from you. We're here to help." "Help?" The queen asks as the storm outside gets worst. "You come in here un-announced and with-out coming in through the door." The more she gets emotional the worst the storm gets and the ground shakes with a quake until she sees Uni. They lock eyes and she shouts with big cutesy eyes, "You're the cutest thing ever!" Then just as suddenly the shaking and the storm stops. Then the guards come in. "Your majesty what just…? You!" Looking at the group. "Don't worry your highness we'll protect you." Eric himself in a near panic. "Hey, we're just as confused as you guys." Then the queen orders them, "Stop! They are not here to cause harm. Right?"
Hank, "That's right. We were sent here by Dungeon Master to help your queen." "And help you shall," Dungeon Master says as he appears out of nowhere again. All the guards say in bewilderment, "Dungeon Master." The lead guard kneels before him as he says, "Forgive us great one. These past few months have placed us all on edge." "It is understandable. Though the reason why you my young friends are here is as I explained to you earlier." He continues as he gently takes Salene's left hand and guides her along with Uni and the others to the window. "Look outside and tell me what you see now."
Bobbie is the first to speak in astoundment. For before the land was a desolate storm ravaged waste and now its green and full of trees and fields of flowers. "Wow! What happened. A moment ago, there was a fierce storm and a barren land. Now its bright shiny and full of green." Sheila then adds, "You know something. The whole place seemed to change when Queen Salene laid eyes on Uni." She says as the others watch Selene now stroking Uni with both her hands.
Bobby asks, "Hey Salene… I mean your majesty. My name is Bobby. These here are my friends Hank, Diana, Presto, my sister Sheila, and the goofball with the shield is Eric." Eric turning his head with a "Hmph." Turning back to Selene he asks, "How is it that when you saw Uni and went all big eye. All the craziness stopped?" She answers, "I don't know but somehow she makes feel calm and happy."
"Indeed, young queen. For that is the reason why you are all here." Making another projection he then explains the whole story. "You see this land is enchanted for it reflects the rulers emotional state. When the ruler is calm and happy. It is bright and bountiful. When sad it is endless rain. When anxious it gets stormy with wild winds. Upset causes quakes. As for when the ruler becomes angry. It's best not to think about it." Then he shows them another projection, "As for about finding what is lost to help the queen it is this." Showing them a crown of gold encrusted with jewels in all colors of the rainbow. "This magical crown makes it so that none of the queens negative emotions will affect her magic. Making it so that only her positive emotions will cause any magic. As long as the ruler wears this. Even if they are saddened, upset, or depressed. There will be no chaos or turmoil. Unfortunately, the crown was lost and without it. Salene's kingdom will remain under the constant threat of her negative emotions causing havoc and famine."
Hank then asks, "But why is that happening with her, what happened to that crown, and why is she the queen at her age. No offense your majesty but you are still, pardon my tone, a child." She tells him, "Non-taken and it is understandable. For you see I was not supposed to have this power yet. You see… Well, it's a long story, and I'd rather not say." Dungeon Master then gently puts his left hand on her right shoulder. "If they are to help you young queen. You must tell them. It's alright, you do not need to bottle anything up." "Very well Dungeon Master."
"You see usually the ruler is not suppose ascend to the throne and receive the magic until after they have come of age. When they are in full control of their emotions, but both my parents were killed before I was of the correct age. My parents were coming home from a diplomatic meeting with our neighboring Kingdoms. A great risk for goig beyond our kingdoms borders all are susceptible to be attacked by evil. Our Kingdom is surrounded by a magical barrier that keeps all with evil intent out. But they needed to leave in order to speak with the leaders of the surrounding neighboring kingdoms. As they were returning back home to our kingdom, they were attacked by a terrible dragon." Tearing up she continues, "It killed them and took my father's crown. That's when I received the magic but without the crown my emotions made my magic go all over the place." Hank asks, "What did this dragon look like?"
Salene then explains, "it was red where five heads…" Everyone in the group then says, "Tiamat!" Presto adds, "We've met her before on many occasions. Eric, "Yeah too many to count. Always trying to destroy as much as Venger tries to." Selene, "She stole the crown and made it so that all this happened."
Bobby asks, "but you're calm now, right?" Salene, "for now but the moment I get had two emotional the chaos returns." Then suddenly Eric accidentally steps on her foot making her say, "Ow what the hex?" Only to realize nothing happened and then she goes, "Huh something feels different." Then turns to Bobby asking, "Bobby hit me." Bobby, "Really?" Salene, "Yes hit me as hard as you can." Looking at the guards as they all shrugged their shoulders and say well orders are orders. So Bobby punches her in the face. She gives a "ow." And still nothing happened. She gets up as she says while with a bruise on her cheek, "I stayed calm somehow about the little unicorn seems to just neutralize the negative feelings." Diana says, "Oh it's her love. She's wonderful at emotional support." Then the vizier says, "Well then there's only one solution the Unicorn must stay with the queen forever." Bobby in agitation shouts, "Hey no one takes Uni away from us."
"Calm yourself barbarian," says Dungeon Master. "What will solve all of this is to retrieve what was stolen." Eric in terror responds, "You mean we are to get that crown back from Tiamat." Dungeon master answered with a nod. Eric with a gulp goes, "Oh I was afraid you were going to say that. Oh brother, I knew this was going to not turn out well.
Hank then tells them, "We know how to get two Tiamat's domain in the Dragon's Graveyard because our weapons can bring us there." Dungeon Master then tells them, "True but you will need much more than that in order to get back what was stolen. You will need this." He pulls out a map from his right sleeve. "This is a map of the Dragons Graveyard. Eric then goes, "Oh we already know how to get there and what it looks like." Then Dungeon Master adds, "Indeed and how do you plan to enter Tiamat" chambers? Through the front entrance. You'd be ashes before you took your 4th step."
Then Sheila says which gets everyone's attention, "Oh hey look at this." Looking at the right side of the map where there's a hand with a pointed finger pointing at the western edge of the crater wall for the mountains that surround the crater. "This hand and these runes seemed to be pointing towards the West facing side of the crater wall to, by the stars, a secret entrance. A hidden passage that goes directly to the central chamber." DM, "Excellent work thief." Sheila, "I'm actually good with maps." Hank looks at it again, "Let me see. Yes quite correct." Diana then asks, "But is it still a secret to Tiamat? Dungeon Master then tells them, "Even if Tiamat does know about it. It does her no good it's too small for her to use, and from the outside it's covered by a door with a special enchantment placed on it to make it look just like the rock face." Then he hands presto a key. "This is the key. You will need it inorder to open the door when you find it." Presto, "Thanks DM."
Then Eric adds, "OK DM but that still begs one big question Or rather two. One, if the door looks just like the rocks how do we find it? The map doesn't say. And two, who's gonna go in there to get that crown?
DM, "Well cavalier the answer to those questions are these." Presto conjures from his hat a notepad. Presto, "Just as a frog needs a Lilypad to leap on. Give me a notepad to write on. Ready Dungeon Master."
DM, "Stand by the great red stone where the eagle breaks its shells in the shadow of the three fangs, and when the beams of light from the setting Suns. Shall converge, shine, and reveal the keyhole. As for who must go in? The answer to that is if you all go in none will come back out, but if one of you goes in one will come back out." Hank asks, "Who?" DM, "That Ranger is for you all to figure out."
Hank tells the group, "Alright everyone just like when we went to the Dragon's Graveyard the last time." Bobby tells the group, "Sorry guys but I think I better stay here with the Uni and the queen." Sheila then asks him Bobby, "Are you sure?" He nods his head in response. "OK just wish us luck." Eric, "Luck, we're going to need a miracle." "Oh stop worrying," says Diana.
Hank begins by firing his magic arrow at Eric's shield then the reflected blast is caught by Presto's hat which the orb of light comes out of that then touches Diana's staff. Then Sheila puts her cloak over it and finally Bobby hits the orb with his club. And in no time flat they are back at the Dragons Graveyard. But this time on the outside the crater wall.
Eric then asks as usual, "So now what?" Hank, "Now we look for the hidden door." Eric, "Oh sure that's going to be easy. Finding a door that might as well be invisible." Diana slaps on the back of the head, "Come on we can find it."
Presto then notices three mountains a bit of a way from the outer edge of the crater wall. He tells the group, "Say those mountains almost look shaped like upward pointing fangs." Then Diana says, "Hey look." She points to a large red rock with broken tortoise shell scattered everywhere. Then they see an eagle flying overhead dropping a tortoise and see its shell break against the rock.
Presto brings out his notepad and begins reading out loud what Dungeon Master had said. "Stand in the shadow of the three fangs beside the red stone where the eagle's shells break and the last light beams from the setting suns will converge to shine upon and reveal the keyhole."
Just as he finishes reading it happens. The five suns set behind the mountains and their five light beams all converge on one single point on the rock face of the mountain wall revealing the keyhole. Hank then shouts, "There it is. Presto, hurry before it's gone again use the key Dungeon Master gave you." Presto takes out the key and uses it to unlock the door. They hear a bunch of gears and other things moving about and then the door slides back and rolls open revealing the passageway.
Diana, "Well here we are. Eric, "But now what? Knock! I mean who would be crazy enough to go in there and get that crown…?" Sheila shocks everybody when she says I'll go. Hank tries to stop her saying, "Sheila no it's too dangerous." Sheila, "You heard Dungeon Master only one of us can go in and I'm the best chance there is." Diana, "That's true." Hank, "Diana?!" Presto, "Hank you know it's true. She does have the invisibility cloak." Hank, "But she'll be going in alone." Sheila then turns to him to say, "I know that but I have to. Besides only one can go in." Eric, "Yeah, but that doesn't mean the same person who goes in will also be the one who comes back out." Sheila, "This isn't up for debate guys. It has to be me." Hank reluctantly agrees, "All right Sheila. Just be careful." She then gives him a quick kiss on the cheek, "I will." Eric then says, "Well you are the thief so go in there and steal that crown back." Diana and Sheila hug as Diana says, "Be extra careful in their girlfriend". And presto then gives her a grenade he conjured from his hat. Then he says, "Good luck and you're going to need all the luck you can get."
Sheila enters the passageway and begins her arduous journey down towards Tiamat's layer.
Sheila continues to walk down the dark hall while thinking to herself. "You really are now in over your head Sheila. Now you are about to face the single most feared creature in all the realm. The one even Venger himself fears above all. You could still do as Eric often wants to do and turn back now. But what about Uni and Bobby? Without that crown queen Salene will not be able to control her emotions magic, and right now having Uni is the only thing that is keeping her calm and happy. Thus, keeping her kingdom and her people safe. If I come back without the crown. Then Uni might need to stay with her in order that she may remain calm, but then Bobby will be sad without Uni. Oh one bad choice for another. With the only one that has the best chance of making everything right. Is the one that is the least attractive. Which you are doing right now? On top of all that you are alone and are facing Tiamat alone. Your greatest fear of being alone with no one there to back you up. You could still turn back, but to go on. To take those final steps and face Tiamat. That would be the single bravest thing any soul has ever done. In this world or any world. Not even Venger himself would face her alone." Looking ahead at the red glow from Tiamat's central chamber. Sheila continues to think to herself, "Yes Sheila, this is where you face your true test of character. Do you take the easy way out thinking only of your own wellbeing? Or do you do what you know is right, and not what easy? Because it is the right thing to do. I think we both know the answer to that question."
Cautiously stepping through the door way Sheila finds herself in a vast cavern filled with hills of gold coins and cups. Jewels of diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and rubies. Then grabbing her nose and covering her mouth as she silently gags on the stench filling the chamber from Tiamat and the remains of her kills scattered everywhere. Finally finding Tiamat and her five heads resting on a huge hill of gold. Each head is asleep with their eyelids closed.
"Ok," Saying to herself under her voice. "Just find the crown and get out." Looking around while being very careful not to make any loud noise. She scours for the crown. Then she turns to see the blue head that breaths out lightning rise up and Sheila lies flat on the ground. As the head rest down on its left side near her. She sees to her relief. Only to turn to horror as she quietly says, "You've got to be kidding me?" She finds the crown, but it's on the Blue heads nose horn as a ring.
Sheila proceeds towards the crown. Placing each step carefully so as to not make a sound. She gets to the horn and the crown and tries to slide it off. Only to find its stuck on good. Then Sheila notices a little golden dagger sheath in the pile of gold coins. She picks it up and finds that there is still a dagger inside. She then uses the dagger to wedge under the crown in order to loosen it. Constantly keeping an eye on the head and trying to watch the others as well. After what feels like an agonizing eternity. She manages to work the crown free and slide it off the horn. She places the crown into her shackle. Though as she begins to walk away, she loses her footing and slides down the hill of gold coins. She sees the eyes of Tiamat's heads opening and pulls up her invisibility cloak. Vanishing just as Tiamat raises her middle Red head and sniffs the air before letting out an irritated snarl and guttural growl.
"Well thief," her middle talking head speaking with her rasping lizard like speech. "I know you are here. I can smell you. I hear you breathing, and I hear your heart beat quickening." Each head looking in a different direction with beams of light coming out of them trying to find Sheila.
Sheila remaining motionless and not doing anything to let Tiamat know where she is. Then Tiamat uses her green head to exhale poisonous green mist. Sheila quickly puts a mask filter over her nose and mouth and covering them and her eyes with her hands.
Tiamat continuing to search while walking on all fours. Each head looking in a different direction. Then Tiamat taunts her by saying, "Come now. There's point in trying to hide. When I already know you are here. For if you come for my horde. Help yourself, for I have plenty to spare and then some."
Sheila sees that Tiamat is standing right next to the archway entrance she came in through. With Tiamat right in front of it. Blocking her only way out. "I need to get her away from the entrance, but how?"
Tiamat makes a stone fall and it causes the sound of it crashing to echo around the chamber for a few seconds. That gives Sheila an idea. "That's it," she says quietly under her breath. "It's time to use a little ventriloquism. If I can throw my voice to make it sound like it's coming from the other side of the cavern. She'll move away. I just hope she falls for it." She begins doing what must be the greatest act of ventriloquism anyone has ever attempted. Taking a page from the Hobbit that she remembered her grandmother telling her when she was Bobby's age.
"Oh mighty Tiamat," Sheila says while making her voice bounce off at an angle from the opposite side of the cavern. While also disguising her voice with a southern accent. "I did not come here for mere trinkets. I only wanted to get a look at yawl. To see if yawl are as great as the stories and legends, I have heard of you are indeed true. I've got to be honest. I did not believe them."
Tiamat still searching and moving her center head in the direction of where Sheila's voice is coming from. "Do you believe them now?" "To be perfectly honest. They fall pathetically short of the reality of your sheer magnificence. Oh, Tiamat the greatest and most feared of all Chromic dragons. It is no wonder why all across the realm fear you. Even the evil wizard Venger trembles at the mention of your name. And it is now abundantly clear to me why he does."
Tiamat takes a short step away from the doorway as she responds, "You have nice manners for a thief and a liar. For do you honestly believe flattery will keep you alive?" Sheila carefully placing each foot step as quietly as possible as she replies, "Well it never hurts to be praised. Does it not?" "No indeed," says Tiamat as she takes another step away while still searching with her other heads. "You seem to know me well. You may have disguised your voice, but there is something familiar about your scent. Though I don't seem to recall precisely where I have smelled it before. For I don't remember smelling you before by yourself. Who are you and where do you come from? May I ask?"
Sheila says to herself, "Never answer a dragons question directly." Looking back at Tiamat. She throws her voice again. "I've come from beyond the realms veil. From the land where great towers of glass and steel stand. Where carriages and coaches run with no horse or beast to pull them. Where great machines carry people through the air that are flown by human hands."
Tiamat in response, "You speak in riddles. What is your name?" "I am the silent walker, the unseen spy, I am she who breaks the noble beast curse with her tears." "Lovely titles." "I am the cloak wearer, the answer seeker, the friend who walks unseen, and the queens herald." Tiamat then with an intrigue tone says in response to Sheila, "Queens herald! Now that is an interesting detail. Then I have guessed your riddle for where you have come from. You are from that miserable little kingdom of Katon. Sent here by that pathetic excuse of a queen, Salene. You and the queen along with the rest of her kingdom will pay severely for this intrusion in my domain." She lets acid drool from her black head which melts and vaporizes the rocks and gold where it lands. "Besides, do you think me a fool for not knowing why you were sent here? I realized it when I noticed that favorite horn ring is gone. For that is what you have. So, she sent you to steal my treasure!"
Sheila desperately tries to dissuade her, "Wait! You've got it all wrong. I don't have it, and it was you alone who brought me here." Tiamat stomps the ground and makes Sheila momentarily loose her footing. "Don't take me for a fool. Of course, it is the crown she sent you to retrieve. The thing which keeps her precious magic from going chaotic. To be worn by a sad little girl whose parents I reduced to nothing. She sent you to get it and not risk herself. As a true royal. Though it matters not. I suspected she or one of her aids would attempt such a thing one day."
Sheila realizes Tiamat is trying to un-nerve her. "No, you are now the one who is lying." "What did she promise you in exchange for bringing back her crown? As if it were hers to begin with. I will not part with a single coin or anything that I take for myself. Perhaps I should still pay her and her kingdom a visit to make sure no one forgets what happens when they dare to cross me."
"No wait, I am sincere in what I have said," Sheila tries to dissuade Tiamat from going to Carsa's kingdom. Tiamat in a furious tone replies, "Enough with your lying riddles! What else brought you here thief?!" "Revenge!"
"Revenge?" Tiamat answers curiously. Sheila continuing towards to the entrance and exit, "You must realize great Tiamat that while you have no equal in this world. Your exploits have made some very bitter enemies. Who would love nothing more than to destroy you."
Then Tiamat with a sinister chuckle and rumble. Begins to make the entire chamber rumble as her chuckle turns into a sadistic laugh that fills Sheila with worry and makes her tremble. "Revenge, you! Ha! Ha! Ha! I am Tiamat! The Goddess of the Chromic dragons, and the mightiest of all dragons in all the realm. I go where I choose. I do as I please. I take what I want. I kill and eat whatever and whoever I want. Where I want. Whenever I want. For my armored scales are stronger then the strongest steel and are magic proof. My teeth are shaper then sword blades. My talons the mightiest of all spears. The strike of my tail falls whole armies. My wings create winds mightier and more destructive than the fiercest of cyclones." She flaps her wings and makes everything in the chamber swirl. Sheila struggling to keep her cloak on and to keep herself invisible. With Tiamat finishing by saying, "And my breath. Five flavors of death." Exhaling from all her mouths making spiked ice form on armor. Lightning shattering a stalagmite. Poison mist corroding iron and untreated steel. Acid melting some more rocks and suits of armor. With the fire from her red head melting a pile of gold. "Well? Well?! Where are your precious riddles now?"
Sheila composing herself as she nervously responds, "Very impressive. It is clear why people all across the realm fear your name. You truly have no equal. However, I was always told that dragons, particularly chromic dragons, are vulnerable to an herb called dragon bane. There are some who believe that is what can stop and even harm you as I have seen on other dragons." Tiamat, "On lesser ones, but not me. Nothing in this realm can harm me."
"Maybe," Sheila then says with a whisper, "Though since you are evil. Then you could also be lying about that. Because you wouldn't want anyone to perceive you as vulnerable and made helpless by it." Tiamat with a perplexed, "Huh, what's that? More riddles you are making?" Sheila finally at the mouth of the doorway as she confidently says, "No my riddling is over. I really mustn't take up more of your magnificence time any longer. I'm sorry you were not able to find me your mightiness. But after all, it does take an expert to catch an expert treasure hunter." Saying it as she de-cloaks.
Tiamat startled says, "Treasure Hunter?" Finally seeing Sheila. "Dungeon Master's Thief!" She is about to strike when Sheila pulls out the grenade Presto gave her. Saying to herself, "Presto you better be right about this." She throws it and when Tiamat fire blasts it. She becomes enveloped in a mist made of leaves. Making Tiamat gag and flinch in pain shouting, "It burns!" One of the leaves falling in Sheila's hand as she recognizes it as, "Dragon Bane. I was right you like any other Chromic Dragon are harmed by it. Thanks for proving me right about your weakness." Sheila runs into the passage as Tiamat shouts with fury as she sends a blast of fire after Sheila, "Thief! You and all your friends will die before I let you reveal the truth."
At the entrance on the outside of the tunnel. The rest of the group hear Tiamat's roar. Hank being the first to say, "I don't care what Dungeon Master said. We're going in to help Sheila." Eric, "What? Just so we can get roasted, frozen, melted, poisoned, vaporize, or some horrible combination of all five."
Diana stops the two from talking as she hears Sheila running up the passage. "Quiet! Listen." "Yeoooow!" Presto, "I certainly heard that." Then out of the tunnel with a small trail of smoke coming up from her rear. Is Sheila alive and well. Hank, Diana, and Presto give a, "Hooray for Sheila." Diana adds, "Yeah the single bravest thief in the world, or any world." Sheila then says as she is stepping fast on the spot, "Thanks guys, but I'd prefer less hoorays and more hands for aid. In other words…" Seeing the smoldering fire on her rear, "… extinguish me!"
Presto pulls out his hat and tries an incantation. "Abracadabra with what I hope you can distinguish. Give me something with which to extinguish."
Out of his hat he pulls, "A fire extinguisher!" Responds Eric in his characteristic snarky attitude. "Oh give me a break." Prestro in response, "Hey it's still a means of extinguishing, right." "Presto!" Shouts Sheila. Presto, "Oh, right coming Sheila."
He sprays her over with the fire-retardant foam and she looks like a well dress snow lady. Brushing the foam away saying, "Thank you Presto." "Well, we're all glad your back with us. Alive and in one piece," Diana says in reassurance. Hank then asks, "Well was it worth facing Tiamat alone? Did you find the crown?" "Wala," Sheila says with confidence as she pulls out the crown to present to the group. They are all amazed that she got it and accomplished it all on her own. Hank asks, "How'd you do it? How'd you escape Tiamat?" Sheila then surprises the group when she tells them, "It was actually thanks to Presto. Presto, "Me?" Eric, "Him? All he did was give you a grenade. I don't see how that could've possibly have helped." Sheila, "It did Eric because this was in it." She then shows them a leaf. Hank then asks with a look of surprise, "Hey is that…?" Diana, "Dragon Bane." Presto, "Yeah, the one herbal plant that can harm a dragon, even Tiamat."
Sheila then further explains, "Also I was able to face Tiamat by reminding myself that while I appear to be alone. I never stand or face my challenges alone." "Well said Thief." Sheila turning to see, "Dungeon Master." DM, "You have not only rescued the enchanted crown of queen Salene, but you faced your greatest fear and stood strong in the face of it. For it is well known. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is when you are choosing not to give into it." Sheila, "Thank you Dungeon Master. I…" The ground starts shaking violently. Eric says in his annoyed tone, "Oh great, now what?!"
Flying out from above the crater rim is, "Tiamat!" Shouts Hank. She shrieks, "No one steals from Tiamat and lives." Eric in a panic asks DM, "Hey DM can you get us out of here. Cause I'd rather not fight an already angry five headed dragon." Dungeon Master replies, "Ask and it shall be received Cavaliere." He makes a swirling vortex of magic mist that transport them back to the realm as he did for them the last time, they were in the dragons graveyard.
Tiamat shouts as she opens her own portal, "There is no place you can escape, even with Dungeon Masters aid, that I can't find you."
The heroes find themselves in the throne room where Bobby, Uni, and Salene are. "Sis!" Shouts Bobby. Sheila gives her brother a big hug. Sheila, "I was almost certain I wouldn't make it back to give you this hug Bobby." Uni comes over and gives Sheila a gentle nuzzle, and Sheila gives her a gentle petting in response.
Salene then asks, "Well did you find it? Did you rescue the crown?" Sheila then pulls it from her Shackle while saying, "One enchanted crown as ordered." Then suddenly the mood in the room turns from joy to fear as a guard comes running into the room. "Your majesty! It's Tiamat, she's here and she's attacking."
They all run to the window to see as Tiamat attacks the village around the castle with all the people fleeing. Salene begins to panic and get angry. It causes three tornados and the mountains to become volcanos. She realizes what she is doing. Turning to Sheila she asks, "Quick give me the crown." Sheila gives it to her and the instant she puts it on. It sends a golden wave of magic outwards in all directions. Causing the volcanos and storms to cease. "My emotions are under control again at last." Eric then adds, "Yeah, that's great that your magic is under control again. Too bad we still have a majorly ticked off five headed still attacking."
Carsa, "How do we get rid of her?" Sheila then hands her the leaf of Dragon Bane as she tells her, "With this?" "What is it?" Carsa asks confused. Sheila, "It's Dragon Bane. It is able to repell and destroy dragons like Tiamat." Carsa still in panic mode, "This one little leaf won't stop that monster." Hank, "No but if you focus your magic. You can make enough to stop her." Presto then adds, "Hanks right. Just concentrate on filling your kingdom with dragon bane."
Carsa takes another look at Tiamat, "Even though I have my crown back. I don't I can do that." Diana puts a hand on right shoulder as she says, "You must believe in yourself. Believe that you can do it. Don't say I will try. Tell yourself I will do what I have set mt mind too." "OK, here goes."
While at the same time she also creates a portal that goes back to the amusement park. Eric, hey she did it she made a portal the way home come on. Sheila then turns to Bobby saying, "Bobby let's go…" she and the others see that in trying to get the portal open it's also prevent in the queen saline from producing Dragon Bane necessary to stop Tiamat. Diana, "Points out she can't make the dragon bane and keep the portal open the same time." Hank ponders, "Another impossible choice choose to go home and leave a Kingdom unto ruined was stay and let and its queen they would needs be made in order to save her Kingdom." Turning to the others I'm sorry guys but we can't choose going home at the expense of Salene and her people. Let it go." Eric, "Hank!" "Let it go Eric we'll get another chance."
The portal closes and the group's attention then turns outside.
Looking closely at the leaf of dragon bane. Salene concentrates on it as hard as she can. Then Dragon Bane starts appearing everywhere. All over the outside of the palace. The roofs of the houses. Then it even appears on the arrows of the archers as they release them.
The instant the dragon bane tipped arrows strike Tiamat she falls out of the sky into a meadow now full of dragon bane. She roars in furry as she starts to glow white and starry as the dragon bane takes effect. Until at last, she turns into a cloud of red mist. Shouting as she vanishes, "You may have defeated me this time, but I will return. No matter how long it takes. Then I will destroy you all!" Then in an instant she vanishes.
Hank asks, "Is she really gone?" Diana, "Yeah is Tiamat gone for good?" "Not forever Acrobat." Everyone turning to see, "Dungeon Master."
Hank asks, "You mean we haven't seen the last of Tiamat." I'm afraid not Ranger. You see Tiamat is a part of the natural order of this realm. Though it seems unfair. She actually plays an essential role in keeping this realm in balance. Without her, this realm and all who live in it would no longer exists. So, while she is defeated for now. She has returned to the dragons graveyard to recover. Though it will still take a long time before she has fully reconstituted herself." Carsa then says, "Well even if she does return. Now we know how to repel her so that she can't get anywhere close to my people. And now that I have my crown back. No evil hearted soul will ever be able to enter our borders. They will only be repelled by the mystic shield that once again surrounds us. All thanks to you Sheila. I and my people are now forever in your debt. Unfortunately, now the crown has been significantly drained of its power. I'm afraid I might not be able to make another portal to send you all your friends home. Still, how can I ever repay you? I promise if it's in my power. You shall have it." Sheila kneels down to be at eye level with the queen as she responds, "Thank you queen Salene, but unless you know another way to send us home to our world. There is nothing I need or any of us want or need." Eric, "Speak for yourself. I'd settle for a nice warm bath." Salene makes a rain cloud appear over Eric and it starts pouring. Giving everyone a good laugh, "Not what I meant."
Later as the heroes are about to leave Salene asks, "You sure you won't stay? Your enemies will never be able to get you here." Hank assures her, "We appreciate that your majesty, but we still need to keep looking for a way to get back home in our world." Salene then continues, "Well just know that if you ever find yourselves coming back this way again. Just know you are always welcomed here." Sheila, "We will queen Salene."
Salene stroking Uni, "Goodbye Uni, thank you for helping me through this dark time. I'll never forget you. You make sure to take good care of them. They have a way of making powerful enemies." She gives a little knob in response. Then looking at Bobby asks, "And I'm counting on you to protect Uni as well my barbarian." Bobby, "I will, that's a promise." "I know Bobby." Then to everyone shock she kisses him on the cheek which makes him blush in surprise. With one last wave goodbye the heroes resume their quest to fight the evil in the realm and to continue their search to find a way home.
