"Eijiro Kirishima, you are the only remaining member of Class 1-A after that battle, all of your other classmates were lost to the villains during the fight." Principal Nezu said in his normal cheery sounding voice.
Kirishima just stood there, not believing his ears. He knew that Bakugou had lost a serious amount of blood, and that Midoriya worked himself to the bone trying to save everybody, but he didn't think they would die.
"Really!?" He finally blurted out, clenching his fists.
Before Nezu was able to answer, Kirishima found himself sitting up in his bed, breathing heavily. His red hair was all messed up, and so were his bed sheets. Kirishima checked his phone, to see a few notifications. He saw one from Denki, asking him if he was alright. The other five were from Bakugou. He saw the time, it was 1:27 AM. All the notifications from Bakugo were only from a few minutes ago.
Ei
I can hear you from my room
Can you shut up
Then, there was a five-minute pause.
Eijiro?
Are you having a nightmare?
Kirishima didn't know how to respond. His best friend was worried about him and didn't respond until almost ten minutes later.
Knock, knock, knock.
Someone had knocked on Kirishima's door, and he didn't respond.
"EIJIRO!" Bakugou yelled, practically kicking open the door, "YOU WERE HAVING A NIGHTMARE AND YOU DIDN'T TEXT ME ABOUT IT WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
"Sorry, I only just woke up." Kirishima said.
"You better be sorry." Bakugou scoffed, walking towards Kirishima, "What do you need so you can fall back asleep."
Kirishima chose to seize the opportunity that was out in front of him.
"I need cuddles to fall back asleep." Kirishima said, not missing a beat.
"Er..." Bakugou stuttered, caught off guard by Kirishima's answer, "I'm not giving you cuddles, if you want those you can ask Deku."
"It'll only work if they're cuddles from you. If they're cuddles from anyone else, I'll have more nightmares." Kirishima said, taking advantage of how much Bakugou hates nightmares.
"Now you're just trying to get me to give you cuddles, and it's working." Bakugou growled, clearly unhappy with the situation. He got up to close the door, and then returned to Kirishima's bed.
"Let me under there, shark teeth." Bakugou said, motioning towards the bedspread.
"I thought you liked my teeth!" Kirishima said, making space for Bakugou in his bed.
Bakugou made himself comfortable, and then opened his arms so Kirishima could cuddle up to him. Kirishima ended up more comfortable being with Bakugou than he had ever been. Kirishima didn't want this moment to end, and he knew it would last longer than it could have. It was the weekend, and Bakugou sleeps in until 9:30 AM on weekends.
"Ei."
"Hm?"
"I don't say this often, but this is actually kind of nice."
"Hmm."
"Are you already asleep?"
"Mhm."
"Alright."
9:23 AM
Buzzzz, buzzzz, buzzzz.
"Eh?" Kirishima said, slowly waking up. "Oh. It's my alarm."
Kirishima reached over to turn his alarm off but couldn't. Bakugou was in the way.
"Right, Bakugou is here." Kirishima sighed, laying back down.
Slowly, Bakugou woke up. He propped himself up on one of his elbows and looked around.
"Ei? Are you still there?" Bakugou mumbled.
"Yep." Kirishima said, running his hand through his bright red hair. He looked up at Bakugou, who was starting to roll over and lay back down. Kirishima's arm was still under the half-asleep Bakugou.
"Dude, my arm." Kirishima said, trying to pull his arm out from under Bakugou.
After a few minutes he stopped, realizing that Bakugou was holding his hand. He decided to try and fall back asleep, and he learned very quickly that he probably shouldn't have done that.
"Yo! Kiribro!" Denki exclaimed, bursting through the door.
"Denki! Do you not know how to knock?!" Kirishima yelled, trying to sit up but failing.
"No, I do not. And I never will." Denki said, pointing a finger in the air trying to make a point.
Bakugou started stirring, getting up just enough for Kirishima to get his arm out from under him. Once Denki realized that Bakugou was in Kirishima's bed things started to go downhill.
Gasp "Did Bakugou put the moves on you?!" Denki exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"No, he didn't." Kirishima said.
"No, I didn't." Bakugou repeated, turning to look at Denki.
"Yes, you did Bakugou!" Denki squealed.
"Ei, did you invite this dumbass here?"
"No, he just kinda showed up."
"Hold on, Bakubro calls you by your first name?!" Denki said, waving his hands around.
Kirishima decided to break down the entire situation to him. He told Denki about the nightmare he had, and about how Bakugou got angry at him for not texting him about the nightmare. Eventually, Kirishima got to the part where Bakugou was holding his hand, and Denki just about exploded in excitement. Kirishima and Bakugou asked Denki not to tell anyone about this little thing, and he left.
"Ugh, you know Dunceface can't keep a secret right?" Bakugou asked.
"Yeah, I do. But depending on how well we keep it a secret, he'll keep it a secret." Kirishima explained, trying his best to convince Bakugou that Denki wouldn't tell anybody.
"I'll bet you fifty dollars that he tells Sero."
"How 'bout I bet you a kiss that he doesn't?"
"Eh?! A kiss?!" Bakugou exclaimed, taken aback by Kirishima's confidence.
"Mhm, it doesn't matter what happens, I'm getting my kiss no matter what." Kirishima said. Bakugo realized that he was right, even if Bakugou won, he would still have to give Kirishima a kiss.
"You little..." Bakugou mumbled, looking away from Kirishima.
Kirishima put his hair up into a little man bun, and then headed downstairs. They saw Midoriya explaining a hero's quirk to some of their classmates, and Momo and Sato making breakfast. Mr. Aizawa was sitting in one of the armchairs, drinking a cup of coffee.
"Good morning." Aizawa said.
"Good morning Aizawa-sensei!" Kirishima said, smiling.
Bakugou had left to go see what was for breakfast, and Kirishima took a seat next to mina.
"So, I could hear Bakugou yelling last night. What was he yelling about?" Mina asked.
"Oh, just that I had a nightmare, and I didn't tell him. Typical Bakugou stuff. He made me tell him what it was about, that wasn't fun." Kirishima explained, looking over at Mina.
"He doesn't yell at you very often these days, do you have any idea what that's all about?" Mina asked again, seeming to try and interrogate Kirishima.
"Actually, I don-"
"KIRISHIMA AND BAKUGOU HELD HANDS." Denki exclaimed, then covered his mouth.
Class 1-A was shocked. No other member had been expecting this, except Todoroki. As the resident theorist he knew for a fact that Kirishima had a huge crush on Bakugou, but he didn't expect it to go this far. Mina had also been suspicious, but about Bakugou. She had picked up that he had romantic feelings for Kirishima, and as the resident matchmaker she tried her best to get them alone as many times as possible in the last few weeks.
Bakugou could hear this from the kitchen and laughed, "Pay up shark boy!"
"Remember, you need to pay up too!"
"Ugh, I'm not paying your stupid price!" Bakugou yelled.
"That's how a bet works, my man. I must give you the thing that I bet too." Kirishima said, "But I'll give you your fifty dollars right now. I need help studying for the next exam, could you help me with that?"
"Yes, and thank you." Bakugou said proudly, savoring the feeling that he had just won.
Over the course of the day, Kirishima and Bakugou tried their best to dodge every question that their classmates had about them. They managed to dodge most of them, but then the people like Mina and Todoroki were unavoidable. Once the afternoon came, Kirishima and Bakugou went upstairs to help Kirishima study, and Kirishima finally got to get his side of the bet from Bakugou.
"Just so you know, that's not actually how bets work but I'll give you a kiss anyways." Bakugou said, setting his notebook beside him.
"Okay, but that's not my fault. You know I'm a certified idiot." Kirishima explained, trying to defend his side of the situation.
"Just shut up and let me kiss you already." Bakugou mumbled, grabbing Kirishima by the collar and pulling him in close.
Bakugou kissed Kirishima but was surprised at how much Kirishima leaned into it. He tried to stop the kiss and let go for just a moment, but Kirishima kept kissing him. Bakugou ended up pinned against the wall, being slightly forced to have a make out session with his best friend. To Bakugou's surprise, he enjoyed it. He pulled Kirishima closer, making their bodies contact. Slowly but surely, Kirishima moved his hands underneath Bakugou's shirt, and onto his waist. Bakugou then moved one of his arms over Kirishima's shoulder. The one moment he got, he pulled away from Kirishima's face.
"Dammit Eijirou…" Bakugou mumbled, his face slightly red.
"Do you want me to stop?" Kirishima said, confused.
"Hell no, keep going." Bakugou demanded.
Kirishima kissed him again, moving his hands up to Bakugou's pecs. Bakugou realized what he was doing and took his shirt off as fast as he could. Kirishima turned Bakugou around and flopping onto Bakugou's bed. Kirishima moved his hands over Bakugou's torso, feeling every inch of Bakugou's muscles. This pulled a small and quiet moan out of the blonde, his body shaking as he felt Kirishima's hands glide down the sides of his body.
Kirishima took the sound as a sign. He started kissing Bakugou's neck. His back arched at the feeling of Kirishima's lips against his neck, and then moving to just under the corner of his jaw. Kirishima flattened out Bakugou and started lathering his chest in kisses. It was obvious that Kirishima didn't want to go any further than just giving Bakugou kisses, and he was okay with that. When Kirishima moved down to Bakugou's abs, he quickly learned that it was a sweet spot for the blonde. When he kissed that area it sent shivers down Bakugou's spine.
"Eij... I fucking love you..." Bakugou said between heavy breaths. His body was covered in sweat, and he was getting awfully excited.
Kirishima looked up from Bakugou's stomach and giggled. "I know."
He then moved back to Bakugou's face. Kirishima pressed his lips against Bakugou's and kissed him one last time, before collapsing next to him. His face was flushed and red, almost the same color as his hair. Although, he didn't look as bad as Bakugou. Bakugou lay next to Kirishima breathing heavily, his entire body a light shade of red. His chest was heaving, trying to catch his breath.
Kirishima smiled his biggest, goofiest smile. "You liked that, didn't you?"
"Shut up, shitty hair." Bakugou grumbled.
"You said you love me~" Kirishima teased, turning to lay on his side towards Bakugou.
"I told you to shut up!"
