Once upon a time. There was a soft spoken girl with the most vibrant green hair in the world. She lived a peaceful life in the deserts of Vacuo... unfortunately tragedy struck. The poor girl was left all alone. She waded her way through scorching sands, blowing fields of grass, the roaring seas, and eventually the harsh winds of snow and ice. She made it, and the Abyss smiled back.

First RWBY fic, let's goooo!

When a person thinks of someone powerful, they would think of Huntsman. These warriors use the aura gifted to them by the gods to protect humanity against the grimm. Or maybe someone would think of the CEOs of gigantic corporations like the Schnee Dust Company, who can leave the world completely defenseless at the word of one Jacques Schnee. Or if someone was trying to be a smart alec they would say Grimm. Creatures of darkness whose entire purpose was to bring humanity to a gruesome end.

Of course to some people they could care less about who is at the top of the food chain. And a certain person would go as far as to say that if humanity could come to an end that she would personally see it through. Of course this is just her thoughts spiraling down a rabbit hole as she sits at the head of a meeting.

"Miss Green, your latest weapons have been especially well received by those in the Atlas military and sales have gone through the roof! We should capitalize on this opportunity and increase the production tenfold while we still can!" Someone sitting at the table said, probably some greedy and power hungry child who thinks he can make it big. Unfortunately for him, arrogance isn't really in her list of favorite things.

Silence fills the room as Miss Green Lazily scans the suited gents before finding one that is sweating like a pig, desperately looking away. She scoffs before looking at one of the security, and just like that there is one less employee on the payroll.

"Anybody else have any hair brained ideas that they want to share before the actually important people in this room talk?" Not a word is spilled from anyone's mouths, fear permeating from every last one of them except for the jade haired lady eyeing everyone like a hawk. Of course she is looking at them with only one eye, an eyepatch covering her other eye due to an unfortunate grimm accident.

"Just a week ago, as you all were just reminded of, the latest anti-grimm technology from our company, Winter Thorns Weaponry, has exploded in popularity not only in the military but all across Atlas and in parts of Vale and Mistral as well. With the rising increase of grimm related attacks across all kingdoms I hope that I don't need to stress enough how important it is that any of you screw up while I am gone." The green haired lady warned, gazing tiredly across the lengthy meeting room. Her eye resting on some of the more sneaky and clever members of the meeting, a different warning hidden in her crimson eye.

"Research and Development has asked for more funding and shall receive it at the start of the 3rd quarter. Grimm Analysis and Biology shall also receive more funds for capturing grimm due to the difficulty in obtaining larger grimm for study. And lastly Foreign Relations, have you completed the contract with Vacuo?"

"Y-yes ma'am, they fought against the abnormal prices compared to other kingdoms but eventually relented under our convincing. We should be sending them their batch of weaponry in the next week." A mustached man said, his hands turned white as he carefully answered.

"Good. I know you all don't need the reminder, but as you all know you will be responding to my personal secretary, Watts, for any and all problems. Dismissed."

Some people in the room jolted at the name but quickly nodded their heads as everyone swiftly exited the room, leaving only Ms. Green to herself.

She seemed to wait there for a few minutes completely still before reaching for her eyepatch. It was leaking a blackish substance and when she unlocked the 4 clasps, black sludge poured from her face, landing on the table.

"Damn it. I should really stop doing that…" She whispered, the fear she felt earlier inciting her grimm curse to activate. But the pleasure of their raw emotion just seemed to fill her so well…

She sighed as she lifted her gloved hand and pointed it at the puddle of abyssal sludge. Some dark green tendrils swiftly pierced the goo and it seemed to glow as it started forming.

"Beowolf. Rise from your master's lifeblood and spread fear among the prey you eagerly hunt." She chanted, slowly enough from the puddle came a small beowolf cub. It mewed as it looked around the room before seeing its creator.

"Wo-" It was quickly silenced as a dagger pierced its skull, disappearing into rapidly disintegrating dust.

"I always hate doing that, never a pleasure without pain." She swept off the remains of the baby grimm and stood up, having wasted enough time already. The clock was beginning to reach 9 o' clock as she approached the elevator, the bleak hallway maintaining a beautiful look in its dimmer appearance.

*Ding*

"My Queen, the company is producing and releasing its latest batch of anti-grimm ware as we speak. My "vacation" has also started so the next phase of your plan can now proceed."

"Of course my Squire. I suspected you would fulfill that task soon, congratulations are in order, unfortunately, Cinder seems to be needing your help in Vale. Her lackeys apparently aren't enough to continue the plan within the time limit, I expect you to fix that." A mysterious voice spoke from a computer, a jade haired woman answering it.

"Anything you need shall be done, my Queen. I will be in Vale as soon as I can."

"See to it, my precious Cactus in the Snow."

The call cut out as she stood up. The roaring snow landing on her jacket and some on her doe ears. She grinned as she recalled what Cinder was up to and couldn't help but get giddy at the teasing that was in order for the young girl.

She threw a small black ball from her palm towards the computer, instantly erasing it from existence as she walked towards a waiting Atlassian Bullhead.

"I wonder what awaits me in the land of Humanity's Protector… It should be worthwhile."

The Bullhead roars into life as it leaves the ground, snow swirling around the landing pad as its thrusters activated. Eventually it rose faster before rocketing over trees and mountains alike. Grimm in the forests below howled and cried out in cheer at the Squire, frightening those in nearby towns. It was on that day that many of them were wiped out by seemingly monstrous hoards of grimm.
