It was Kai's turn to give Caelus a bath, but since he had the least experience with babies, Nya volunteered to help him.
"I don't get why I have to bathe the baby tonight." Kai said as he held a towel wrapped Caelus, who silently slept.
"We each have to play our role in taking care of Caelus, Kai." Nya replied as she was filling the tub with her Water power. "Besides, Jay and Zane are lucky that they don't get to do this."
"Oh, like Lord of the Jig would electrocute him, and the Ice Emperor would freeze him?"
"Not a nice thing to say about them, but yes. Now, could you put Caelus in the bath, and get to work?"
Kai soon sighed while unwrapping the towel around Caelus, and puts it aside. "Okay." Nya steps aside for Kai to place him into the tub. But the moment he did, Caelus immediately started to cry. "What is it, Caelus?" He gets him out and backs away, trying to comfort him. "Don't like bath time?"
Nya moves two fingers into the tub, and gasped. "I made the water a little too cold for him."
"Leave it to me." Kai holds out his right hand to ignite some Fire in it before dunking it into the tub, causing it to steam. He soon put his hand out before placing Caelus in. But as soon as he made contact with the water, Caelus started to cry again and Kai backs him away. "Do you really not like bath time?" He tries to comfort him again.
Nya then moved her fingers into the tub again before hissing. "You made the water too hot for him."
"What? I made it as hot as I did with the hot tub."
"Babies handle temperature differently."
"Maybe he just doesn't like bath times."
"He's had plenty before, and hasn't cried in every single one of them!"
"As I recall, you didn't like every single bath time your whole life!"
"That was before I found out I am a Master of Water!"
"No, that was before our parents went missing!"
"Well, how about you? Have you even liked bath time?"
"Now, why would you say that?"
"I heard you don't like water."
"I do now."
"Oh really? Then how about this?" Nya holds her hand out to the tub to conjure a ball of Water from it before moving her arm forward to splash Kai with it, getting his hair, face, and the top part of his gi wet while his hair flattens down from being wet, covering his ears.
"If that's the way you want it, how about this?" He puts Caelus down on the table, grabs the tub, and turns it over Nya's head, completely getting her soaked. The sound of the whole thing caused Caelus to cry.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" Another voice called out as Kai and Nya turn to glare at the person that silenced them before realising it was Cirrus, and felt ashamed. "I give you two one simple thing to do, and you end up arguing over water temperature and dislikes about bath time!" She grabs the tub from Kai, and forces him and Nya out. "Now I have to do it myself." She soon went to try and comfort Caelus. "#Solomon Grundy, Born on a Monday...#"
Kai and Nya spent the rest of the night arguing about their alleged dislike for childhood bath times that lasted even in the early morning hours, and Dragon had to lock them out of the monastery as a lesson on settling differences, which took 7 hours with hardly anyone inside getting any sleep before eventually, they were allowed to bathe Caelus again as long as Kai keeps the temperature baby friendly and Nya to wait for the water to become lukewarm beforehand.
