Thank you Crowley for being a Queen fan xxxx
Send me an Angel
Chapter 1:
"Take a cacao Angel." Crowley said as he gave me a black cup with a picture of four man and the name Queens on it. I accepted it in silence, still felt the shock inside of me. Crowley had just saved me out of heaven, my ears still hurt from that damn alarm. He was there, after what I did to him in the bookshop. He stood there jet again to safe me, a demon alone in heaven. "I'll ask you once politely to hand that angel over to me." He said calmly, dressed in his usual clothes. The sunglasses had cracked a glass, some struggle must have happened before he entered heaven.
"And why do you think we would do that, Mr Crowley?" Metatron answered in his calm demeanour, ready to push me into the hellfire.
An eyebrow popped above the sunglasses. "I told you I would ask you just once." That told me he was about to do something nasty. Crowley threw his broken glasses away and indeed, his eyes had gone feral. The white of his eyes had disappeared, his primal eyes had taken over. Something I hadn't witnessed for some years. His head started twitching like a possessed being would do, hisses escaped his mouth. He opened his arms a dark aura appeared around him, and time went slower. The fire out of the execution circle, started to spin around. Slowly forming a tornado inside the room. "stand still angel" He yelled in a voice that was deep. I shielded my face from the heat and wind that moved around the place. Metatron stood in sheer disbelieve, he knew his mind game was over. He tried manipulating Crowley into another deal, but that was off the table. The top of the tornado moved out of it's circle and sucked Metatron with it. "That was one Bastard, now who wants to go next?
I heard commotion all over the place, some archangels had gathered, soldiers were entering the head office. I was still in magical handcuffs, not able to move much. We were in big trouble right now. "Don't anyone move or this gonna end right here!" Crowley yelled, his voice more like himself now. The fire spread in the room, making a curtain between us and the angels.
Archangel Michael took the word from now. "Demon Crowley, you are on your own. How do you think to win this fight?
A smile appeared on his face. "Aye, you so very wrong Michael. I have never in my existence been alone but you lot have always been. I have friends and I discovered what true love means. You lot only know the hunger for success and power. More selfish then some of the Demons I know." I couldn't believe my ears, it was as if Gad had spoken herself. The shackles on my wrists fell. "Come Angel, let's go. You're to good for this place.
The Archangels and their lot stood behind the curtain of fire and couldn't come near the elevator. Michael stood stunned, processing Crowley's words in her mind. Archangel Uriel smiled at her and whispered. "He's right you know."
We escaped heaven and now we are in Crowley's flat, still staring at that mug. I know I'm safe here, no angel can enter except for me. "You alright Angel?" I heard vaguely. Still processing the shock and feelings of guilt. "Yes, I'm quite alright thank you." I tried to avoid the so needed conversation, I'm just not up to facing it. I glanced around his kitchen, it was very neat, very black and modern. I noticed Crowley's mug with the same people on it. "Who are these Queen's men?
Crowley paused and glanced over his mug, he had still no glasses on. His eyes studied me for a moment. "It's a band… Called Queen?" He whispered unsure.
"What an odd name for a band."
"They're my favourite, and … car's too." His voice cracked a bit, he had screamed so much the poor thing. He was so brave, like the hero's straight out of a novel. There was nothing more romantic really, to be saved by the person you admire. At least I could try to comfort him a bit as well, I had hurt him in the deepest of his soul last time we saw each other. "Could you play something? It's so awfully quiet here." And as always Crowley served me in a second, he stood up and went to his record player. He absolutely would do anything for me, and the sad thing is that it took me 6000 years to realise. so long we had avoided each other and our own feelings towards each other. It's difficult to comprehend, but on the other side so clear as ice.
The music started to play and we sat there in silence staring at our cacao. Everything felt so strange right now. We both knew we had to discuss it but I couldn't bring it up. Just the moment I saw his heart break, it spooked my mind for months. "Why do you like them so much?" I asked helpless, to break the silence. I had no interest in this kind of music what so ever, but I knew it would make him talk. Crowley looked up and frowned. "What?
"The men from Queen?" I asked again. "Why do you like them so much?" He gave me a little smile and a nod. "I met them years ago, I was good friends with the lead singer at the time. Freddy." He pointed to the man with a moustache on my mug. "Went to lots of their concerts.
"Are you no friends any more?" I asked, my curiosity awakened.
"No he died of aids years ago." He answered simply. "He searched his whole life for the love of his life and when it almost ended he found someone. Pity they couldn't enjoy much of it."
"I just couldn't, I couldn't. "I'm so sorry Crowley." I whispered, tears already appearing in my eyes. "You must hate me so much right now."
"Don't bother Angel, I'm alright and you are safe. You can spend the rest of your existence as you please. "I will not be difficult."
"Crowley ... please! I beg you, can you forgive me?" Silence fell between us and we could hear the music play, Love of my life don't leave me. Crowley glanced over too Aziraphale, those beautiful blue eyes were staring back at him, tears falling down his cheek. "Aziraphale, there is nothing to forgive. I just hope we can be friends again."
"Oh Crowley, I love you." I stood up without realising what I was doing and kneeled next to him. Tears were running down his cheek as well. I took his hand in mine. "We have always been friends, dear. However my heart … desires so much more, it scares me Crowley. It really does, I want us to be us but I wish we could be safe. No interruptions from Heaven or Hell, I want to be free Crowley and I thought Metatron could give us that."
"I know that angel, that's what I want to." My demon whispered and suddenly I couldn't withstand temptation. I placed one hand on the back of his neck and kissed him. A loving kiss this time, so very soft. His golden eyes glanced into mine and a giggle passed his lips/ He could be such a child really, my Crowley. "We should do a miracle, make ourselves unnoticeable. So only true friends can find us and innocent people.
"Crowley! You are a genius!" I yelled out, it felt like old times already. We stood there in Crowley's kitchen, hand in hand and woosh…. Miracle done….
