The Guardian Returns Ch. 02
Back at Asagi's apartment Gamera is sitting on the floor in front of a small table. Asagi walks in carrying a small box and sits next to him.
"Okay I believe I have some gauze in here as well as some disinfectant," Asagi says as she opens the box and pulls out some supplies. "Here we go. Now, this might sting a little," she tells Gamera while holding a small bottle. The woman holds it towards his right arm just over the wound. When she sprayed the medicine on his arm the Guardian could not help flinching, thinking that hurts more than getting wounded. Asagi then bandages his arm.
Gamera then says, "Thank you," as she finishes. He then notices that she is wearing a charm around her neck and then sees her own.
"Now it's my turn." Gamera reaches for her arm and places his hand over her wound. There is a bright glow and when he removes his hand there is barely a scar.
"There you go. All better," he smiles.
"Th-thank you. why'd you do that?"
"Why'd you patch my arm up?"
"But couldn't you have done that to fix your own arm."
"To heal myself would require barrowed mana from another," he points at the charm. "To heal others, I only need my own mana," he explains before sniffing the air. "Do you smell smoke?"
"Ohmygosh!" Asagi shouts as she makes a mad dash to the kitchen, realizing that dinner is burning. She opens the oven and a small flame burst out and immediately backs up runs for the fire extinguisher. Before she got back to put the flames out Gamera is standing in front of the stove, inhaling the flames. When the last spark is out he swallows.
"That was a nice snack," he jokes.
Asagi looks into the oven and finds nothing but ash in a pan.

Half an hour later
Asagi sighs, "Sorry that the only thing we have to eat is microwave dinner."
"That's alright," Gamera says with some rice in his mouth. "So far this here is the best human food I've had."
"Really, where have you eaten?"
"At some homeless shelter."
"Homeless?"
"I'm a Kaiju. The world is my home," he tells her before glancing at the clock seeing it is a quarter till nine. "That reminds me, if I'm not there by nine they won't let me in," Gamera gets up, grabs his coat and hat, and makes for the door.
"You could stay here for the night." Asagi stops him. "I have a spare pillow and blanket. I can sleep on the couch."
"Thanks," he walks over towards her and puts his hands on her shoulders and smiles. "I'll take the couch. It would be rude of me if I took your bed in your own home."
