CHAPTER ONE: THE PRINCESS FROM ANOTHER WORLD

So, I know it's been a while since I last updated any of my stories, despite saying that I would be doing so a lot more. The thing is, my drive to write has been lessening more and more. Like, I'll write for a good little while and then stop suddenly. Mostly because I hate the way I write and going back over it makes it even harder to do so.

It gets even worse when people are talking trash on my stories as well ( *cough* *cough* Once A Loud).

However, I think I found a way to skirt around it. Think you can guess how I do it?

Prince of the Forgotten does not own Star Vs. The Forces of Evil nor does he own Naruto. They are owned by the Disney company and Dana Terrace (Star Vs.) and Masashi Kishimoto and Shueisha (Naruto) respectively. Fucking Anne Rice, man.

CHAPTER START

"Attention, Marco Diaz and Naruto Uzumaki. The principal requests your presence in his office," a female voice announced over the intercom. "Please report to the principal's office immediately."

Naruto groaned as he turned to his best friend. "What did you do this time, Diaz?"

Marco rolled his eyes. "Why do you always assume it's my fault?"

"Because, my friend, you have a talent for attracting trouble."

"Hey, that's not fair," Marco protested. "Besides, maybe we're not in trouble. Maybe the principal just wants to congratulate us on being model students."

Naruto snorted. "Right. And I'm a super-powered being that can use mystical ninja powers, dattebayo."

Marco sighed as they made their way to the principal's office. "You know, thanks to you, I'm known as the 'Safest Kid in Echo Creek'."

Naruto grinned. "Hey, it's a compliment. You wear that helmet proudly, Diaz."

"It was one time," Marco muttered, shaking his head in disbelief at his best friend's antics.

After navigating the labyrinthine halls of the school, Naruto and Marco finally arrived at their destination: a short, stocky man in a suit, accompanied by a girl about their age with a decidedly quirky sense of fashion.

"Skeeves," Naruto growled, his disdain for the balding man evident on his face.

"Uzumaki," Skeeves acknowledged, turning his attention to the other teen. "Ah, Marco Diaz, the 'Safest Kid in Echo Creek' himself!" A look of annoyance crossed Marco's face at the mention of the moniker. "I need both of you to give Ms. Butterfly a tour of the school. Well, Mr. Diaz more than Uzumaki." Naruto responded with a crude gesture as he pulled Marco into a one-sided hug.

The attention turned to the girl, who was biting the water fountain, of all things.

"She seems...," Naruto began.

"Out of her mind? Clinically insane? Utterly bonkers?" Marco suggested, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "Am I getting close?"

Naruto smirked. "Quirky, Marco. Geez."

"And, Uzumaki, if anything happens to Ms. Butterfly while she's under your watch, and it comes back to me, you will be expelled from Echo Creek." With that, Skeeves turned and left the three of them.

Naruto snorted in disgust. "I hate that man," he grumbled under his breath.

Marco placed a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder. "I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual. But let's not dwell on that. We have a new student to welcome, remember?"

Naruto let out a sigh and straightened up. "Right. Let's go introduce ourselves to the new kid."

Naruto and Marco greeted the new student who introduced herself as Star Butterfly, a princess from a distant kingdom who had recently transferred to their school.

"A princess, huh? Well, Your Highness, what brings you to Echo Creek?" Naruto asked, a hint of teasing in his voice as he leaned back against the wall.

Star smiled sheepishly. "I kind of set my kingdom on fire," she admitted, holding up a small wand that resembled a stylized baby rattle. "I was given this magic wand by my mom and, well, things got a bit out of hand."

Marco raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "You set your kingdom on fire?"

Star's face fell. "Yeah, it was a mistake. A big one."

Naruto glanced at Marco, who twisted his finger around his ear, implying that the new girl was crazy. Star noticed their expressions and asked, "You don't believe me?"

Naruto's face softened with pity, but Marco's expression remained skeptical. "I want to believe you, Star," Naruto said, "but it's hard to accept that a tiny wand can do so much damage."

Determined to prove herself, Star aimed her wand at a butterfly and unleashed a powerful blast of magic. The fragile creature transformed into a monstrous beast, still vaguely resembling its former self. The mutated butterfly seized an innocent student and soared away, leaving chaos in its wake.

After their fellow student disappeared, Naruto remained rooted to the spot, his eyes wide with disbelief. But Marco, on the other hand, exploded in anger. "What was that?!" he yelled, his voice laced with frustration.

Star reappeared, reintroducing herself as a magical princess from the land of Mewni. She spread her hands in an overhead arc, casting a spell that created a magnificent rainbow. From the colorful arch, multiple woodland creatures emerged, each one more magical than the last. But as the rainbow burst into flames, Marco stood frozen in place, his mind struggling to process what he had just witnessed.

Finally, he snapped out of his stupor and grabbed Naruto by the arm. "That's it, we're done here," he muttered, dragging his friend away. "Have fun at Echo Creek High," he called over his shoulder.

Star waved goodbye, a warm smile on her face, while Naruto gazed back at her in awe. Marco broke into a sprint, pulling Naruto along, but his friend's eyes remained fixated on the magical princess. Naruto could hardly believe what he had just witnessed, and he knew that his life at Echo Creek High was about to get a whole lot more interesting.

"What's with the sudden silence?" Naruto asked, his mind finally rebooting after the initial shock wore off.

"Did you not see what happened earlier with that freaky butterfly?" Marco questioned, his voice laced with concern.

Naruto shrugged nonchalantly. "Eh, I've seen weirder."

Marco stopped in his tracks, turning to face his friend. The question on the tip of his tongue, he hesitated for a moment before deciding to let it go. He chalked it up to Naruto's eccentricity and moved on.

"All I know is that messing with the unknown can have dire consequences. What if she turns us into toads?" Marco warned, his tone serious.

Naruto grinned mischievously. "Hey, toads are awesome!" he retorted, his playful nature taking over.

Marco rolled his eyes, unable to suppress a smile. "Just be careful, okay? We don't know what kind of magic she's capable of."

"Maybe you should give her a chance," Naruto suggested. "I'm pretty sure she's been sheltered for most of her life being a princess and all."

Later that day, Marco and Naruto were hanging out at Marco's house, playing video games and chatting about the new transfer student. Marco couldn't shake the feeling that there was something off about her, but Naruto seemed to be completely charmed by her.

"I don't trust her, man," Marco said, pausing the game and turning to his friend. "I mean, she set her own kingdom on fire. Who does that?"

Naruto shrugged. "Maybe it was just a mistake. She seems nice enough to me."

As they were talking, the doorbell rang, interrupting their conversation. Marco got up to answer it, and was surprised to find Star standing on his doorstep.

"Hey, Marco!" she exclaimed, smiling brightly. "I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd drop by."

Marco's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you know where I live?" he asked, his voice tinged with suspicion.

Star giggled, holding up her wand. "Magic, remember?" she said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Naruto got up from the couch to greet Star, a friendly smile on his face. "Hey there, Star," he said. "What brings you here?"

Star's smile faltered slightly as she glanced at Marco, who was still eyeing her warily. "I just wanted to apologize for earlier," she said, her voice tinged with sincerity. "I know I came on a bit strong, but I really do want to make friends here."

Marco hesitated for a moment before sighing and stepping aside to let her in. "Fine, come on in," he muttered.

As they settled back onto the couch, it was clear that tensions were still high. But Star seemed determined to make amends, and the three of them spent the rest of the afternoon getting to know each other better.

As they chatted, Marco's parents walked in, surprised to see the new student sitting in their living room.

"Marco, who is this young lady?" Mrs. Diaz asked, smiling warmly at Star.

"This is Star Butterfly, Mom," Marco replied, his voice tinged with apprehension. "She's a new student at Echo Creek High."

Mr. Diaz raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Echo Creek High? That's quite a distance from here," he said, his voice tinged with curiosity.

Naruto, who had been friends with Marco since childhood, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's a bit of a hike, but we're making it work," he said, grinning at his friend.

Star smiled shyly. "I transferred from a school in my own kingdom," she explained. "I wanted to learn more about the world outside of Mewni."

Mrs. Diaz clapped her hands together. "Well, we're happy to have you here," she said, beaming. "Marco's always been a bit of a homebody, so it's nice to see him making new friends."

Marco rolled his eyes, but Naruto chuckled in amusement.

Mr. Diaz raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Is that so?" he asked, a playful glint in his eye. "Well, we'll have to show you around ourselves sometime. There's plenty to see in Echo Creek."

As they chatted, it was clear that Marco's parents were warm and welcoming, just like their son. However, Marco still couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension he had about Star. He wasn't sure what it was, but something about her seemed... off. Despite his initial reservations, he tried to keep an open mind and be polite to their guest.

As Star proudly showed off a pack of laser puppies she had conjured up to her exchange mates, Naruto started to feel a little uneasy. "Uh, that's cool and all, Princess, but I think I'm gonna head out," he said, trying not to offend her.

Star looked disappointed. "What, you don't wanna play with the laser puppies?" she pouted.

Naruto scratched the back of his head nervously. "It's not really my thing, y'know? Besides, something's come up and I'm needed at home."

Just then, Marco appeared and offered to take Star's bags upstairs. As Naruto said his goodbyes, he heard a loud explosion coming from the direction he had just left. Turning around, he saw a new tower attached to the side of Marco's house, completely ruining its Latino aesthetic. Naruto couldn't help but shake his head at Star's antics. "What the heck, Princess? Why'd you have to go and mess up their house like that?!" he exclaimed.

Star looked a little sheepish as she leaned her head out a window. "Uh, sorry about that. I just wanted to impress everyone," she said, her voice trailing off.

Naruto rolled his eyes. "Well, you certainly did that, but not in a good way. You should be careful with your magic, Princess. It's not something to be taken lightly," he warned her.

Star looked a little contrite. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry, Naruto. I'll try to be more careful from now on," she promised.

Naruto nodded, satisfied. "Good. Well, I gotta run. Mom's waiting for me. Catch ya later, Princess," he said, giving her a small wave before heading off.

With a loud call and a swift step, Naruto entered his home. He swiftly slipped off his shoes and placed them on the mat beside the door, already occupied by a pair of shoes he recognized.

As he approached the main living quarters, Naruto caught sight of the first head he recognized. A man with hair and eyes that matched his own, his father, Minato, appeared in his field of vision. Despite their resemblance, Naruto's facial features were more reminiscent of his mother Kushina, with a rounder face and softer features.

"Welcome home, Naruto," Minato said with a huge smile as he stood in a nearby doorway. Naruto flashed him back one, equally as big and bright as his father's. "How was school?"

"It was something, Dad. There was a magical princess that transferred in and transformed a butterfly. But other than that, nothing else comes to mind." The fact that his son said those words so nonchalantly made Minato raise an eyebrow. "Is something wrong? You hardly ever come home unless it's something serious."

"Well, you could say that. Some work came in for you concerning that new princess." Naruto watched as Minato produced a file. Opening it, he could see that it was on Star. "It's bodyguard duty."

Naruto frowned, wondering what kind of work his father had in store for him. He was surprised that he had been chosen for this particular job, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of intrigue. There was something mysterious about the whole situation, and he couldn't wait to find out more.

His phone then rang, drawing his attention away from the folder in front of him. "Number one Ultimate Knucklehead, at your service," Naruto answered. He paused, listening to whoever was on the other side of the line. "What happened? She lost your stuff in a wormhole?"

Sheepishly chuckling, Minato wondered what had happened at the Diazes' household earlier. He had seen the tower suddenly appear. Not to mention if that was going to shoot up their insurance premium. He could practically hear their only child yelling on the other line.

"Ah... Mm..." Naruto said, nodding his head. "You want me to meet you there and get you some refills because they won't let you back in the store." He waited for Marco to finish before heading back out. "I'll be back, Dad."

As his son walked out the door, Minato waved goodbye and heard a new voice calling out. "Was that Naruto?" his wife Kushina Uzumaki-Namikaze asked. She was a young woman with long red hair that reached her ankles.

"Yes, I just gave him his mission before he left," Minato replied.

Kushina pouted. "I was about to tell him that dinner will be ready soon."

Minato chuckled and hugged his wife. "I'm sure he'll come back after he deals with Marco."

Marco grumbled to himself outside the local convenience store. "I mean, what kinda spell has 'suck' in it?" A cold drink was placed against his cheek, making him shiver and withdraw. He turned to the source: a grinning Naruto.

"About time," he told him, grabbing the cup from his best friend. "My stuff's gone to who-knows-where."

"So you told me." Naruto folded his arms. "At least you didn't get sucked in with it." Although he was about to, from what Marco had told Naruto. Naruto pointed at the literal cloud in Marco's head, raining down on him. "Also a gift from her?"

"And the reason they won't let me back in the store. Are you sure you don't want her staying with you?"

"I would," Naruto started, his eyes squinted in thought, "but we only have two bedrooms." Not to mention his mom got scary when someone messed up their house. And, from what Marco had already told him over the phone (and what he had seen earlier), Star didn't have proper control of her powers.

"No wonder my mom and your mom are best friends," Marco muttered, understanding the underlying reason.

"Can I talk to you?" Star asked, interrupting the conversation. Marco jumped, ready to fight. However, he didn't get one as she zapped the miniature thundercloud hanging over his head away. "The thing is... I didn't get a choice coming here and you didn't get one living with me. So, I was wondering if there was any way I could make it up to you for putting up with me."

Marco sighed and was about to answer when a shrill voice interrupted the conversation. "Star Butterfly, relinquish the wand or suffer my wrath!" The owner was a small bird-like humanoid with a horned reptile skull over his pale green head wearing a long green dress.

Naruto raised an eyebrow before turning to Star. "Friends of yours?" Star took a defensive stance, giving him his answer.

"That's Ludo," she explained. "He's been after my wand since forever, although he's never been able to get it."

"Today is going to be the day that I do so!" Ludo yelled, pointing a clawed finger towards the trio. "Get that wand!"

"Wanna keep score of how many we each beat?" Naruto asked.

"You're on!" With that said, Naruto and Marco leaped into action as Star's wand began to glow.

"Rainbow Fist Punch!" A rainbow-colored energy beam with a fist at the end punched the nearest monster, knocking it back into its comrades.

"Cool!" Naruto complimented before a fierce grin spread across his face. "My turn." He dodged a punch at his head and countered with one of his own. His fist buried itself in his opponent's stomach, doubling the monster over his fist.

Naruto followed it up with an uppercut, laying his opponent on the ground. Out of the corner of his eye, Naruto noticed Star and Marco get knocked down.

Grabbing a nearby trashcan lid, he tossed it like a frisbee. It hit the head of one of the monsters, diverting their attention away only to see a fist coming for its eyes.

Taking the opportunity given, Marco knocked them away as Star readied her wand. "MEGA NARWHAL BLAST!" Her spell conjured up a blessing of narwhals, which landed on their enemies.

The fight was over as quickly as it started. "Unbelievable," Ludo grumbled. "I'll be back next time, Star Butterfly!" Ludo drew a pair of scissors, causing Naruto and Marco to think he was about to use them, and stabbed them into the air. Dragging them to the ground, he opened a portal back to Mewni, all the while chastising his goons.

"I suppose it's time for me to find a new host family," Star said, her voice tinged with sadness. "Thank you for everything. I'll start packing."

Naruto nudged Marco's shoulders. "Come on, man. We can't let her go," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Marco sighed, but a small smile betrayed his true feelings. "Okay, fine. You can stay with us," he relented.

Star's face lit up with gratitude. "Really?" she exclaimed before pulling the both of them into a hug.

"Are there going to be more monster fights all the time?" Naruto asked as the three broke the hug and walked towards Marco's home to drop them off.

"Sure," Star told them, though she took a second to think about it. "Well, probably." That was a good enough answer for him.

"Sweet!" Marco said as he pumped his fists in the air. "Sounds so dangerous." He then pulled both of them back before they crossed the street. "Let's cross at the light."

"Sure thing, Mom," Naruto chuckled, to the annoyance of Marco. Star giggled into her wand at the joke. "Well, I don't want you to get hit." Naruto waved off Marco's worry.

"As if a car is going to take down the greatest ninja of Echo Creek." Marco rolled his eyes. "If you're a ninja, I'm a knight."

"Boo! Don't rain on my parade!"

Have you guessed? If you guessed AI, then you'd be correct. Most of it is still me, though if you dislike it, I'll try to hold off on using it. Just know, now that I'm older, the drive to actually write is getting older as well. I'm just about in my 30's, so this old brain ain't what it used to be.

It's been a hard couple years since I last updated, and I'm sorry. I'll try to update more and more, so please be patient.

To answer questions I can predict you guys are going to ask, yes. This Naruto can use chakra, as can the rest of his family and friends. Chakra is not as widely known as it is in the original series and is a separate entity from the magic of Star Vs. (think about if Hagoromo was more selective about who he let know of its existence). Once the series really gets going, then I'll introduce jutsu.

Yes. He still is the jinchūriki of Kurama, who won't play as big a part as he does in Naruto, until I say otherwise.

He's been best friends with Marco since Pre-K and his parents are friends with Marco's by their kids being friends. Let's face it. Kushina and Angie would be the best of friends even if their kids weren't.

Other characters from Naruto will make appearances, but they will not be the main focus.

This and the Star Vs. plotlines will converge at times but will mostly run parallel to one another. Case in point the fight scene at the convenience store. It still happens the way it did in the show, just with Naruto added in.

Eventually the endgame is Naruto/Star, maybe Naruto/Star/one other, so Marco might drop to a main support character. Not to mention I plan on following through with Marco/Jackie Lynn as I feel Jackie got shafted and they just shoehorned in that episode of Britta's Tacos for people to get over her. Even though they didn't do the same for poor Kelly. Screw it. Kelly might be the second girl.

Or I could just make it a harem.

Lastly, I plan on lowering my word count for my stories. I'll leave the 10K words per chapter for people like Kenchi618 or Mumei Mu (highly recommend them). A good four, maybe five thousand, is good to me.

Until then, see you later.
