The following days were tough for me at the school, no matter where I went everyone either ran or gave me hate filled expressions.

"Hey Raven, ruin anyone's life lately?" asked Daring Charming as he walked by me as I stood at my locker getting my books for my next class.

"Blind anyone with your annoying teeth?" I snapped back.

"I've never blinded anyone with my smile, just melted the hearts of a few damsels," said Daring. He then smiled which caused a flash of light to fill the hall, which I instinctively raised my hand up to shield my eyes from.

"Ow!" said Hopper Croakington who had been hit by the light and walked into a row of lockers.

"Hopper, are you okay?" I asked while checking on him.

"I think so," said Hopper while standing up.

"Don't go acting like you care about people now, Raven," said Daring.

"We all know that you're evil just like your mother, maybe you're even worse seeing how you're trying to destroy Apple's destiny," he said. As I heard those words I nearly lost control of my anger, all I wanted more than anything in the moment was to blast him with my magic.

However, a voice soon cut through the anger I was feeling.

"That's enough, Daring," said Apple who made her way through the crowd that had gathered to watch.

"But Apple, she…," said Daring before being cut off.

"Raven made a mistake, and I'm sure she'll change by the time we graduate," said Apple.

"But for now we're all free to make our own decisions so let her make her own choice now and then she can sign the book later," she said. Everyone then started to move on, but I was too stunned to move, Apple's words had given me a mix of feelings.

"I won't change my mind," I said before finally moving.

"I'm going to create my own destiny, far away from my mother's legacy and you," I said before storming off.

"See, what did I tell you, she's evil just like her mother and does not care for anyone but herself," is the last thing I heard Daring say before I was out of earshot as I left the school.
