Chapter 6
The two teenage girls Ila and Irma had crossed together the landscape, arriving the last hill to where they had a pleasant view to the rest of the empty area, including a now-different built ice palace. It's been years since people from nearby had heard anything about the Snow Queen ever again. People have never heard any other story, beside the girl, that had been taken by the spirit was the now-teenaged Irma. Anything else related to the issue wasn't seen by any other human being besides Gerda, the one sibling looking for her brother taken hostage.
The two girls gazed in awe at the castle, then looked down at the ground, which was covered with snow up to the castle's front. Only exception was, the existing grub around the palace. Both girls slid down the hill to reach the ground, then made their way up together to the palace.
"Are you sure it's a good idea?" Asked Irma looking around the area bewildered about the silence. Ila cackled and glimpsed at the taller girl.
"You chicken?" Asked Ila making Irma shake her head. "You had told months ago, that Snow Queen had vanished when this Gerda had come to save her brother. Didn't you see it?"
"I didn't see her. I just know she was inside of me. She must have been stuck inside her mirror. She wielded one, which she used to defeat her. That's at least, what she told us,"
"Have you never thought about looking for her again and ask her for the story in more detail?" Questioned Ila.
"How should I do that? I don't even know, where she lives. I know she was an orphan and that's it,"
"She must still be around. She's a legend, isn't she?" Asked Ila making Irma shrug her shoulders.
The two girls fell on their back in shock, then Ila raised her head first to spot a funnily, blue-colored penguin slip on his belly forward and got up to look at the two girls, then began to waggle with its body.
"Aww look at the cute penguin," Commented Ila, while Irma sat up as well to see the penguin wave with his wings, cawing. "Hey who are you?" Asked Ila approaching the penguin, which began to waddle away from the girl and began to slide forward. Both teens observed the penguin move sideways toward a small hill, then both girls exchanged looks and went after the penguin to see, where it went.
"Why are we going after a penguin?" Questioned Irma following the classmate to the hill and Irma walked to the side to spot a large, ice with a mysterious symbol on it. Ila, in the meanwhile, climbed up the hill to see Irma and the ice field from above, then got curious about it.
"Hey, what does that symbol mean?" Questioned Ila watching Irma shrug her shoulders, then Ila slid down beside the hill to look at the symbol from the other side.
"Weren't we looking for the penguin first?" Asked Irma, then behind the hill the penguin glimpsed out at the girl, then waddled to the girl and touched her on the leg, causing her to jump and fell into the ice field. "Hey!" Exclaimed Irma making Ila laugh.
"You had to see your face. You looked somehow like this," Ila began, then made an odd facial expression hoping to have copied the girl more or less. Irma got on her knees, then looked at the snow and had an idea. Irma used a bit of snow to make a snowball and threw it against Ila's face, causing her to lose her mood and frown.
"You want a snowball fight? You'll get it!" Ila answered getting down on the ice field, then used her power to create a large ball of snow to throw it at Irma. She shrieked and held her hands in front of herself accidentally creating an ice block to deflect the snow attack, pushing the girl against the snow. Ila laughed at her score, then fell down on her knees still laughing. Irma threw the block aside, then stepped on the ice, slipping down on the ground landing on her knees, then she growled at the girl, that was down on the ice with hands and knees just like Irma.
"You think, you're funny, huh?" Asked Irma
In the meanwhile, the middle of the symbol began to melt down, slowly opening up a hole. The penguin tilted its head by looking at the ice forming a hole in the middle, then began to walk backward a little anxious from the open hole. The hole grew slightly bigger and an ice-blue colored spirit glimpsed out to look at the area. The two girls noticed the spirit, which smiled and flew up in the air excitedly.
"I'm free! Woohoo! All thanks to you, little brats," Announced the spirit doing a salto, while Irma and Ila exchanged confused looks with each other, then looked down at the ice to see their hands sparkling from magic. Both girls jumped up, seeing their hands remain marked on the snow, then Irma bit her lips worried about the situation.
"Oh oh, I think our ice magic activated this thing," Commented Irma, then three other ghosts flew out carefully off the ice making Ila drop her chin surprised, about what both had done.
"What shall we do?" Asked Ila watching Irma shrug her shoulders, then both girls got out of the field to race together away of the field heading towards the ice palace. "Are you sure hiding there is a good idea?"
"I don't know. We have no other choice," Commented Irma, then she looked back to see one of the spirits about to blow an icy wind against the two girls, then Irma pushed Ila aside landing on the ground having the blast miss her. Irma looked back to see the spirit move forward along with two other ones, making Irma sigh relieved. Irma looked for Ila to spot her running away in the opposite direction leaving Irma back alone.
"Ila! Come back! It's dangerous all alone," Warned Irma seeing, the girl didn't listen to her. "What am I saying? We're both out here in danger anyway,"
Irma heard laughter, then looked back to see more spirits fly towards her direction making Irma cry as they came down to her, then she closed her eyes in fear. Suddenly the spirits were caught in an ice cube and fell down beside the girl in three different spots, then Irma lifted her head up to see, what happened to the spirits. Irma shivering from fear looked up to see, who had saved her life she saw no one. That's at least, what she thought until she got up and noticed a large, elegant creature come towards her way making Irma squint her eyes to look at the thin, blue-dressed person come her way.
"I'm so glad, I'm not alone here," Irma announced relieved glancing at the approaching woman, then noticed the woman's skin was blue making Irma squint her eyes once again to puzzle out slowly, that the person, that was coming towards her wasn't just a person, it was actually the Snow Queen herself!
"The Snow Queen!" Exclaimed Irma in shock.
Over the sky, Orm and Gerda traveled on a small airship above the sky. Orm had the lead of the ship, while Gerda with Luta on her shoulder sat beside on the bench looking out of the ship at the tundra they were passing over.
"Is it just me or does this place look familiar to you?" Asked Gerda while Luta tilted her head at observing the area.
"That's the paths we have crossed together years ago to look for your brother," Mentioned Orm. "Somewhere over the southeast was the location, where the castle of the Snow Queen used to be. See your old friend Orm, still remembers everything despite the years of living at the troll kingdom with the others,"
"But you've spent a few years by the Snow Queen. You said, that you had crossed the ice landscape for many times to do certain things for her. It's actually astonishing, that you remember her exact location,"
"Well I have to give you right on that one," Confessed Orm. "We have talked a lot about how I am doing. I haven't heard anything else from you besides, that you and Rollan are getting married. When exactly are you two going to get married?" Questioned the troll making Gerda shrug her shoulders.
"We haven't decided yet. We just got engaged recently,"
"That's okay. Anything else you may know from now or that you both are planning to like moving together into another house?"
"I don't know when we should move together. Suppose we should do it before we get married or afterward. I heard before it's better," Commented Gerda making Orm nod. "Rollan also wants to see his mother again, which he hasn't seen for years,"
"Oh really? He didn't return yet?"
"No. You see, this had happened to him back at the troll kingdom, then after we found him again and he helped us save all magicians again he stood with Alfida's crew. He first was hesitating, but with time he got used to it. He doesn't live with them now but works with them. When he wouldn't be with the pirates he would visit me and take me out, so we both would hang out or get to know each other. I got to know plenty of things about him, I wish I knew earlier," Commented Gerda while Orm looked at the girl curious.
"Like what? His heroic deeds?"
"Yes and that his comrades made fun of him for trying to stand up for the villagers. Also the pirates did the same to him, the ones that work for Alfida's mom I mean,"
"So…..the reason he lost control over himself back at the omana cave was because his heart was…...cold, right?" Questioned Orm making Gerda shake her head.
"He had somehow gotten with the time bitter with his comrades' behavior around him. He not only wanted to impress them, he wanted to show them, that he was more than just a simple villager. The Snow Queen once told me, Fire King's power didn't aim the heart. It aimed his head. He knew exactly, what was up in his head. He knew about all the mocking, his idea of getting the power, and took the chance to brainwash him,"
"She knew all this?" Questioned Orm making Gerda nod. "Did she tell you all that?"
"Actually I asked her. One night after we had defeated Harald and I accepted Rollan's apology I remembered our day out at the troll kingdom. Rollan, when we were out, he treated me very differently. He was very inquisitive about my world, not only about the part of having defeated the Snow Queen, but also the other part of my life. I barely knew I had one. It's thanks to him, that I discovered it. Before I got back to my parents, I felt sometimes dumb to be myself more often, but my mother assured me I didn't need to feel that way. I had made a mistake in trusting him more, than Kai or you and I learned from it"
"Talking about it, do your parents know Rollan is the one guy, that had screwed you?" Asked the troll making Gerda nod.
"They do. He was slightly nervous at first when he met them and feared being confronted with what happened in the past. He and my dad got along pretty fast. Rollan began to come up to our home almost every week. My dad had already accepted him as a friend and my mother somewhen later. She hasn't said anything about him. The only thing she said so far, was that he seemed for her to be a good guy," Mentioned Gerda. "Now with the proposal, they're both really happy. Things couldn't be better,"
"Ever thought about how things would have been if we didn't turn back to save him?" Questioned Orm. "No one would have done this. The ones I know at least,"
Gerda shrugged making Luta sink her head and nudge her owner's cheek.
"You know, when I saw him I didn't think about what he has done to me. I just remembered from the moments before we got cursed. I didn't think anything more, just had Alfida question me about our plan. I just went with my heart. Despite everything that happened, he didn't deserve to die in a painful way. I'm sure my life wouldn't be as fulfilled as it is at the moment with him around. He's like a bonus point of some sort in my life…..On the other hand, I would feel guilty about not having done anything. I forgave Harald, I forgave Irma, You, The Snow Queen. Rollan's forgiveness felt a little hard to me, cause it was more personal. But I saw with the time we've been together finding a way down to the portal of the mirrorland, that he felt terrible about, what happened between us," Gerda explained, then both heard a peal of laughter, then both got vice versa from each other at the side to look around the area to spot a thick spirit fly up towards their ship, making Gerda furrow her eyebrows confused.
"Uh what is that?" Asked Gerda, then shrieked as the spirit began to spit a breeze of ice causing the front of the ship to freeze, including the balloon shrieking Orm, which pushed Gerda down out of protection.
"Who's that?" Asked Gerda while Orm looked up, then shrieked as the ship turned aside with the frozen balloon's weight to fall down straight. "Woah!" Gerda cried along with Orm, which fell alongside the ship towards the icy ground, that was miles away from them.
"We're gonna die!" Yelled Orm, looking aside to see the weasel Luta squeal as well, then he picked her up to embrace her tighly.
Gerda glimpsed at the two friends in panic, then had an idea and placed her hand over Orm's back, packing him. Gerda closed her eyes, warping her face to unlock her powers to transform into her dragon form. Upon taking it, Gerda packed Orm with her hands and stretched out her wings to decrease their speed, thereafter she began to flatter forward, hovering a couple of feet away from the ground, then moved her head back to look at the ship falling down, crashing against the ground breaking the ice. Gerda dropped her mouth surprised, then looked up to see the spirit had flown away followed by two similar beings. Gerda looked down at Orm, which had his eyes covered, then she got down on the ground to put him down and kneed beside him to caress him on his head.
"We're fine, Orm. Open your eyes," Gerda asked, then Orm looked up to see Gerda was in her dragon form and got surprised.
"Wow, I haven't seen you before in your dragon form yet," Commented Orm getting up, while Luta, which was half deranged from Orm's grip shook herself to look back like normal. Gerda stood up to reveal herself to the troll, including her large wings astounding the friend.
"That's really amazing, Gerda. I had no idea how it did look like in real form," Complimented Orm making Gerda smile amused.
"That's sweet, Orm," Admitted Gerda, then looked up along with the troll at the spirits, that had left the area and both exchanged looks with each other. "Do they have anything to do with the Snow Queen?" Questioned Gerda watching Orm shrug his shoulders.
"I'm not sure. It's a possibility…...But why? We haven't done anything to her,"
"We're now by feet. Her palace must be somewhere here. We better go there and see, what's going on," Gerda suggested making Orm nod, then Gerda turned back into herself to follow the troll along the ice.
The pirate crew had organized themselves and used the available poles, that held the balloon together to build a sail, so the ship could move on regularly on the ocean. Alfida was on deck steering the ship, while behind her Kai sat with his legs crossed drawing on a published book a common swift, despite the letters of the book bothering him. Rollan leaned with his back against the wall reading one of the books he had taken from the tomb. The one about the day Gerda defeated the Snow Queen.
In the meanwhile Kai had finished his drawing, then watched the bird come to life and look at the artist curious, then flew up at his shoulder to nudge him, causing Kai to chuckle.
"Hey little fella. Would you like to deliver a message from us?" Questioned Kai hearing Rollan chuckle, earning Kai's attention. "What's so funny?" Questioned Kai looking at his future brother-in-law, which was deepened into the book.
"One of the drawings here. The proportions of the Snow Queen look strange here," Commented Rollan, then Kai slid closer to the boy to look at the page in the book.
"Yeah, she's not as thin as that," Mentioned Kai. "She was also real taller than that,"
"Where do the artists get these drawings from?" Questioned Rollan watching Kai write a sentence in between his own book's phrases.
"Well, most of the illustrators either do it for themselves or know one, who can do it," Explained Kai making Rollan nod, which moved to the next page.
"Do you think your sister really looked like this, when younger?" Questioned Rollan moving a few pages back to show her an artwork of Gerda smiling, making Kai wide his eyes as he recognized his own fanwork on the book.
"Hey that's my drawing!" Complained Kai taking the book off Rollan's hands, which stood there confused.
"I guess, that's a yes," Responded Rollan watching Kai slip through all pages and found another one, where they had a different drawing of Gerda when she met the shaman woman at the igloo along with Orm, which was drawn as a ferret instead.
"This Gerda here looks closer to how she looked like at that time," Commented Kai watching Rollan gaze at it and nod.
"Is that yours as well?" Asked Rollan watching Kai shake his head and move back to the other one, which originally was his.
"Mines only this one," Commented Kai making Rollan nod.
"Have you been always so talented at a young age?" Questioned Rollan watching Kai smile a little and shrug his shoulders.
"To be honest, I don't remember it either. I remember in another orphanage out of boredom I began to draw on my table and kids around me commented, that it was really great. At some point, I began to paint more often, then when I changed orphanage I had to hide it away from the housemaster. He didn't tolerate anything, that is considered fun to him. I didn't know Gerda at that time, I just felt like she was very familiar to me. The painting of her I had done before I came across her at the orphanage. It was weird to remember her face exactly, despite not having seen her for ages. I haven't tried to talk to her about it, because I felt it would be weird to go toward her and ask her if we're both related. Would sound weird, wouldn't it?" Asked Kai making Rollan nod.
"The way you explained it, it might have been," Commented Rollan making Kai nod.
"She was very fascinating back at the orphanage. She didn't fear having trouble with the headmaster when she was in the right. Even certain other orphans, which would mock her or anyone else, she protected them despite not being asked for it. She didn't even need to be rude. She somehow had this gift to talk with others. It's strange,"
"I think she still has it," Commented Rollan. "On the other hand, I think her biggest weapon was always her heart. She's been through a lot, mostly on her own. That's not as easy as it sounds,"
"Correct," Commented Kai. "Before we got our parents back, we left the orphanage together to hope to live a better life. Gerda had planned everything through, so we would be able to make money with each school we would visit. She did everything possible to make sure we would make it through the day. I had always taken her for granted and never told her thank you. You saw on the day you arrived, the only thing I had in my head was to be a normal child again, not the younger brother of her, which helped her defeat the Snow Queen. The thing is, I didn't do anything. She did all the work, Orm and Luta were taking care of the other ice monsters. The only thing I remember is I woke up surrounded by her and some Lappland girl,"
"I think from what I remember, I somehow provoked the fight between you two. I did do a pickup line or two at her when she corrected me about the story,"
"Her making goo-goo eyes on you and revealing herself as the Gerda she is made me feel annoyed and alarmed as well. I have never been in a relationship on that point but heard about it from several students around the country. The fact, that she might have fallen in love with you and some time later get her heart broken worried me," Explained Kai making Rollan nod.
"You were her brother. I believe every brother, who has an older or younger sister does know this feeling. I don't have any, but I do get your point," Confessed Rollan making Kai nod.
"You know, Rollan…..you're actually pretty neat," Confessed Kai. "Is this weird to say?"
Rollan smiled at the younger man, then shook his head.
"No," Answered the Spaniard making Kai smile.
The wind over the ocean changed, blowing stronger against the ship earning the attention of Alfida, which looked up at the sail flapping.
"Kai, do you have the binoculars?" Questioned Alfida looking down at the boyfriend, which got up to give the girlfriend his device, which she used to check the surroundings. Rollan surfed throughout the book Kai had used to write and he found the end of a chapter, where the text was finished in the middle, thereafter he ripped it off. Before anything else, he got up to look at the sea, noticing the waves moving against the ship grow slightly bigger making Rollan swallow hard. Kai got down to continue to write, while Rollan approached Alfida from the other side and nudged her on her shoulder.
"Alfida, I have a strange feeling in my belly. The waves seem to get bigger. Do you think there's a storm coming?" Asked Rollan seeing Alfida put the binoculars down.
"There's a high chance," Responded Alfida. "We pray for things to not change for the worse," Commented Alfida making Rollan nod, then get down beside Kai, which was writing.
"The Snow Queen!" Exclaimed Irma watching the white-haired woman look at the teen, then she raised up her shoulders looking at the kid.
"Who were you expecting? Mama Clause?" Questioned the woman, then Irma stepped back fearfully, making Snow Queen sight and approach the girl gently.
"I won't hurt you. I just want to know, what you're doing here and how those spirits up there got freed," Warned the woman watching Irma look at the air to see one spirit do 360° spins.
"I don't know, what happened either. A girl from the village challenged me to go with her here to look for the palace here. We're both are magicians and we somehow fell on top of an ice field behind that one hill over there. It had some strange symbol on it," Explained the girl making the Snow Queen nod, which moved her hand to call the girl to follow her.
"Follow me," The queen asked, then Irma followed her while analyzing the landscape.
"Where are we going?" Asked Irma, then watched the Snow Queen point at the palace.
"Going to the place you and your friend planned to go," Answered the Snow Queen. "By the way, why did she run off? Isn't she your friend?"
"Well, not really," Commented Irma scratching her neck.
"Alright, one of the trolls in there sure will show more loyalty towards your friendship,"
"Trolls?" Questioned Irma earning a nod from the adult.
"Yes, trolls. Nope, they're not extinct. They're alive and I got to deal with the three most annoying ones, which I haven't understand how they even got here in the first place,"
"Okay, and why are they annoying?" Questioned Irma watching the adult puff.
"You know kids of any sort of kind have never appealed to me. Now those three troll cubs are in there making chaos. I had to give them frozen ice hoping they would be busy for a while," Snow Queen explained, then heard something break inside her castle making her groan. "Their parents better return before I change my mind and give the palace a few new carpets;"
Irma followed the Snow Queen along the stairs into the palace to spot the triplets, which were colored in three different colors playing with the food, Snow Queen gave them. The Snow Queen got confused as the triplets' fur wasn't brown as usual and stepped closer into the hall faking a cough to earn the attention of the trio, which looked up at her in shock.
"What happened to your fur?" Questioned the Snow Queen seeing the cubs look at each other, then the green cub began to laugh at the pink-colored troll, which looked at itself and shrieked in surprise.
"Uh okay?" Irma spoke bewildered at the situation, then heard the cawing of a penguin and looked back to see the penguin enter the palace scared, while on top three spirits were coming towards him "Oh no!" Warned Irma and the Snow Queen looked back to see the penguin point up at the spirits.
"Get in along with the others. I'm taking care of them," Advised the Snow Queen as the penguin passed by the queen to watch her walk to the exit.
"Do you need help? I'm a magician as well," Mentioned Irma watching the Snow Queen stomp with one foot to recall her staff and looked up at the coming spirits. The Snow Queen used the staff to shoot an ice ray toward the spirit, hitting the first one, that felt down frozen leaving the other two back, which continued their way down to the palace. "Is that a no?"
"Stay back with the others. I take care of this," The Snow Queen responded using the staff to launch another ray against the spirits watching them dodge it. "Go on, I hold them back," Ordered the ice-themed wizard launching another ice ray hitting the second spirit.
Irma returned into the palace to the trolls, one of the trolls walked towards the Snow Queen and Irma prevented him to head toward her. "No, we're supposed to stay back," Mentioned Irma watching Snow Queen step out using her staff to hit another spirit, then held it down while looking at the area. The Snow Queen looked back at the group, then moved her head signaling them to approach her.
"Aren't there more?" Questioned Irma and the Snow Queen pointed at the hill, where the spirits came from.
"They're not the problem, the main problem is if the Snow King gets out of there. I got no time to explain, follow me, I need your help," Ordered the queen, then walked downstairs along with the girl. A while later the trolls ran downstairs again to follow the two to the hills. One of the trolls tripped and caused the older siblings to fall down as well, one of them slid with the butt against the feet of the Snow Queen, which shrieked.
"Are you kidding me? Can't you three stand still for five minutes?" Asked Snow Queen, while the trolls grinned at her. "Whose parents let them out of sight?"
"How did they get here?" Questioned Irma, then one of the trolls murmured pointing at the far and the two females looked at the mentioned direction to see Gerda come along followed by Orm the troll. "I think that's them," Commented Irma watching the queen squint her eyes and recognize the two.
"That's Gerda and Orm," Mentioned the Snow Queen, while Irma pondered about their names feeling like she's heard about them before.
"Aren't they….is that Gerda, the girl that saved the world from the eternal frost?" Asked Irma making the blue-skinned woman nod. "Wow, I haven't seen her since the day she brought me back to my parent's village,"
"Oh you're that little girl from lake Gao" Commented the Snow Queen recognizing the teenager. "I'm surprised to see you again,"
"I'm surprised to see you too. Actually, I thought you had died, when Gerda saved me," Commented Irma a little embarrassed, then the duo heard Orm yell the troll triplets' names.
"Rikki, Tikki, Ravi!"
"No wonder they're lost," Commented the Snow Queen unimpressed upon seeing her former servant run towards the kids along with Gerda. The triplets raced towards the duo as well, then ended up jumping against Gerda's legs, making her fall, while Orm stopped surprised at the cub's reaction.
"Are you kidding?" Asked Orm moving his arms up as the cubs embraced Gerda's legs, while she looked at the slightly confused and smiled afterward.
"What are those ice spirits flying all over the place?" Questioned Gerda sitting up, while the trolls began to play with her braids.
"That was an accident, Gerda," Commented Irma earning Gerda's attention, which tilted her head by looking at the teenager. "You're…..you're Irma!" Mentioned Gerda surprised making Irma nod, then Gerda got up and opened her arms so the teen could hug her. "How are you going? What about your schoolmates? Are they treating you well?" Questioned Gerda watching Irma shrug her shoulders
"One or two are kind of jerks sometimes. But it's better than it was before when I was younger," Responded Irma feeling Gerda pat her back.
"Good. Irma, I need your help. You know how to use ice powers, right?" Questioned the Snow Queen watching Irma shrug her shoulders.
"I guess so,"
"There's no guess so. Only someone, who wields ice powers or similar can unlock the seal over there. You and someone else have unlocked it. I will need your help to lock it. Come we don't have much time," Commented the Snow Queen walking around the hill along with the rest of the group, then she stepped on the ice and pointed at the other side of the hole in the middle of the ice. "Go there Irma, the rest just stay back,"
"Okay," Responded Irma going to her spot, then Orm packed the triplets into his arms, while Gerda from the side took a look into the hole to see nothing, but water.
"What's all this? Why did it break?" Questioned Gerda, while the Snow Queen demonstrated the teenager what to do with her hands. The queen began to shoot ice toward the hole, watching nothing change at the hole.
"Imagine the underground as another sort of Mirrorland. In here are spirits locked up. The spirits, that are up to no good. They'll freeze everything and anyone, they come across. We gotta make sure to avoid more spirits leaving the area, before they cause more harm," The Snow Queen explained earning a nod from Gerda. "Irma, just use your powers. Don't be afraid," Warned the Snow Queen watching Irma slightly pressured look at the hole, then shrieked as another spirit slipped out of the hole and glared at her angrily. Irma gasped earning Gerda's attention, which frowned and transformed into her dragon form to fly against the spirit passing through it, landing on her belly. The Snow Queen frowned, then used one of her hands to shoot an ice ray against the spirit, causing it to get frozen and break over Gerda's legs.
"Come on, ladies. You two can do it!" Cheered Orm while the cubs began to clap and Irma began to use her powers assisting the Snow Queen, then spotted two more spirits get out of there flying up in the air to make their way out of there. Gerda snarled as the spirits flew away, then she took up in the air to follow the trio on her own leaving the others back.
"Keep up the work. The more spirits pass through the hole, the harder it gets for us to close it," Warned the Snow Queen watching another spirit get out making Orm frown and begin to hop around making dumb faces, confusing the spirit, which was crashed by another spirit, which got annoyed at him and smacked him on his head with a hand, that suddenly came out of his body confusing Irma, then she saw another spirit come out as well and the trio shrieked as Gerda flew back to scare them away by following them around the place.
"Keep going! We can't let more spirits pass here," Warned the Snow Queen watching one thicker ghost smash with his head on the side of the hole, which slowly decreased making the woman sigh in relief as it was now getting better. Another spirit managed to slip out through the hole, making the Snow Queen furrow her eyebrows, then shook her head to focus on the task, while Irma on the other side was doing her best and looked up at the spirit a little worried, then widened her eyes in shock to see the spirit had the exact same face as Gerda. Irma dropped her mouth, while Orm got shocked about the revelation as well. The spirit suddenly got hit by a couple of snowballs, then looked aside to see the penguin, Irma had come across a while ago fill his beak with fin-made snowballs, then began to shoot from there the balls against the spirit, which got angry and flew towards the penguin, which gasped as the spirit came towards him. The penguin threw himself on his belly to slide under the spirit, which looked back spotting the seal, that had now been closed by the two wizards. The spirit shook her head, then flew up in the air leaving the area.
Irma looked at the spirit leaving, then Orm dropped the trolls on the ground, which began to run around and Orm looked up at the Snow Queen.
"So, what now? A bunch of them are free," Questioned Orm, then the Snow Queen looked up in the air to see Gerda return and land on the ground in front of the group.
"They all went in different directions. I think we have a big problem now," Stated Gerda. "They're all going to attack different villages and we can't go into all at once, mostly alone,"
"Are your friends all there too?" Questioned the queen watching Gerda shake her head.
"Alfida took Kai and Rollan on a ride and they return in two or three days," Responded Gerda. "They're safe from them,"
"If you can, find the next message bird station and send her a message. Tell them to us at the harbor. The one, who's closer to them," Suggested the Snow Queen. "The only thing they need to know is, that fire and ice are the only thing, that can defeat those spirits. Other sort of magic can eventually slow them down, but it's not reliable,"
"Okay, which village is the closest one?" Questioned Gerda, then Irma pointed at the side she came from.
"Mines is in that direction. Perhaps, we gotta go there first," Suggested Irma making Gerda nod and take off.
"Follow her. I will stay watch from over here," Warned Gerda taking off in the air leaving the others back, which departed on their trip by feet.
