I was speechless, Apple White was standing next to me and apologizing for something that I never thought she would, just what happened to her in the week that I was unconscious.
"A… Apple," I said after finding my voice again.
"If you don't want to be my friend again I'll understand since I put you through all of that, but I just wanted you to know that I'm sorry," said Apple as she dropped her head to look down at the floor.
"We never stopped being friends, Apple," I said.
"I just got mad and said things in the heat of the moment, friends can argue and fight," I told Apple while grabbing her hand.
"You mean it?" asked the blonde princess who was close to tears by now.
"I do," I responded with a smile.
"Thank you," said Apple, who started crying.
"Hey, there's no need for that," I said while taking my right hand to wipe her tears away.
"And I have a question for you now," I said.
"What is it?" asked Apple.
"Did something else happen while I was out that caused this change in you, because it just seems to be too big of a change for my injury to have this big of an effect on you," I said.
"What happened to you did have me thinking," said Apple.
"But my decision actually came yesterday when I went to get some coffee and real food," she told me with a look of anger mixed with sadness.
"Alright, and?" I asked with confusion written all over my face.
"The place I stopped at had an employee who was saying such horrid things to Ginger Breadhouse who was just there to get some coffee," said Apple.
"I mean Ginger is one of the nicest people in the world and this woman was calling her… gah, it made me so mad to hear!" she said with so much rage that I was shocked all over again.
"Sounds like you finally found out what it's like on the other side," I found myself saying without meaning to.
"Yeah, and it's pretty dark and gloomy," said Apple.
