Timeskip...

In the blink of an eye, another week has passed since the arrival of Fifi Canari. During that time, she accidentally found out that her feline classmate Furrball wasn't the vile and mean cat she imagined he would be... he was just a kid who searched for a home. This of course broke her heart upon revelation and made her forget her dislike for cats in the goal of trying and help him. The first step is making sure Sweetie Bird will never hurt him again, either for cartoons sake, daily life, or anything between the lines.

The next day, she enacted her plan by faking a chase scene with Furrball in the halls of the Looniversity and succeeded. Now the pieces connected, meaning the students and even the teachers, the Looney Tunes members loved it so much that it became a regular talking topic amongst them, making the duo the center of attention.

While for the two in question, they had to keep the ruse going, not that it actually bothered them, since in this week they only needed to keep this simple routine by swinging prop mallets or bats that wouldn't hurt them the bit at each other. This not only fooled the others in spite of the relatively simple plot, but they loved it and Sweetie hasn't tried yet anything with her devilish traps or deceiving cuteness to stop them.

For Fifi, while her friends worried about her clashings with the blue feline, unknown to them, after classes are over, the two would go together in a tour of Acme Acres with Furrball acting as a sort of tour guide and learning bits about each other, not as enemies or frenemies, but as genuine friends in spite of the common relationship between cats and birds.

This made Furrball happy, not only escaping all the pains and torture and failures he would have to be subjected trying to catch Sweetie, but actually enjoying presenting the places and streets in Acme Acres where he lived and spending time with Fifi. He was skeptical at first, never believing why someone that is more beloved and nice, and definetly higher in the social ladder like her would actually want to be his friend. It honestly felt nice having someone to actually hang out with and speak once in a while, and if there are rains like the ones where they officially buried the hatchet, well she said he's welcome in her four-wheeled home. This kind gesture was too much for someone like him who was only seen as the next Sylvester, especially from the niece of Tweety Bird, the one his professor dislikes a lot. More the reason he tries his best to be a good friend for the young canary.

Now, after another 'deadly' chase with her 'enemy' in the halls of the Looniversity, the young canary is at her locker gently picking up her school books and bag. Ready to leave and continuing to see the many places and attractions Acme Acres has to offer. All thanks to her secret friend, the kind blue cat, Furrball.

"Hey Fif," Babs greeted, with Shirley at her side already set to leave the school premises. "Want to hang out at Weenie Burger?"

"No, thank you, Babs," Fifi replied. "I'm how you say, too busy with moi homework. Maybe anozher time?"

"Fif, you've been, like, too busy with homework for the past week," Shirley pointed out, definetly seeing something suspicious.

"O-Oh! I guess I must be verwy tired! Being chased by monsieur blue chat must have tired moi. Haha..." the young canary lied, but her friends weren't convinced.

"Really... You've been either too busy or too tired this whole week to spend time with your girl pals, Fifi. You're hiding something," Babs frowned, making the young canary tense.

"H-Hiding... ?!" she stuttered, clearly not or being the type who hides her emotion. "I'm j-just going to moi home to, how do you say, relax..."

Babs, seeing that her friend is obviously lying and won't tell them the truth, she decided to take the matter in her own hands. She spinned like a tornado, changinging her outfit, wearing a detective beige trench coat along with a similarly coloured hat.

"Ya are hiding something, Canari!" Babs accused in a gruff tone, pointing her finger at Fifi. "But, what could ya be hiding?"

"I-Im not hiding anyzhing, Babs!" the young canary tensed, not having experience being the target of her friend impersonations. Especially a mean detective one...

"That's what ya'll say!" Babs retorted, too deep in the character. "And every time ya leave the school premises with a lame excuse means ya don't want us to find out! Ya are hiding something! Something that ya don't want us to find out!!!"

Fifi fliched, afraid of her friends finding out about her secret friendship with Furrball. "B-But, I'm not! I'm sorwy eef I acted, how do you say, strange een zhis week. I-I guess I'm still not used to zhe life een America and Acme Acres yet, ha ha!"

"Nah! Too simple! Ya won't fool me," Babs retorted with a hand rubbing her chin. "Ya seem to actually know your way around the city and in this last week there was one topic that ya loved to talk about, but ya didn't bring it to the chat table! Ya were silent about it. Too silent if ya ask me!"

"Quoi...?" Fifi tilted her head, most of her anxiety gone as she couldn't understand what Babs meant by that. Other than her secret friendship with the blue feline, she acted quite normal. There wasn't something else she was silent about. "I don't follow."

"Like, me neither, Fif," Shirley added. "Like, let it go Babs. Maybe Fifi is telling the truth and she's, like, tired or stuff."

"No no no, Shirley. She's deceiving you! She's deceiving me! And she's deceiving all of us with her secret!" Babs shouted, turning her back for dramatic effect. "But, using my brilliant detective skills and knowledge, I know what your secret is!"

The young canary gulped wide-eyed, "Vous do...!?"

"Yes, I do!" Babs decalred, turning and pointing her finger dramatically at her friend. "You, Fifi Canari have a boyfriend!!!"

"..."

The young canary couldn't help but blink, and do so once more. The first day she introduced herself to her class, she pretty much declared that she was a romantic girl who desired to have a boyfriend. That was a major goal in her life, one she hasn't achieved yet, but also didn't let it stand in her way to enjoy her student life in the Looniversity and make friends. She also loved to talk a lot about romance with her fellow girl pals, but quickly realized that what Babs said was right! Not the boyfriend part, but the fact she hasn't even at least brought the topic once in this week wince she began her charade with Furrball. How could this happen?

"Your long silence means that I am indeed right!" Babs boasted, "And since I'm on a roll, I also deduced that ya have been on dates through Acme Acres! That's why ya know the city so better!"

"Like, no way!" Shirley exclaimed. "Fifi didn't, like, had any time to hang with us, because she was with the guy! It all, like, makes sense!"

"Yes, it does," Babs confirmed, spinning back in her usual yellow blouse and purple skirt. "But, why didn't you tell us you found a boyfriend, Fifi? We are your friends!"

"Er... vous see... uh," Fifi stuttered, at a loss of words. Her friends assumed because she couldn't hang out with them, it meaned she had a boyfriend? Still, Babs was very close to finding out about her and Furrball and if she denied, she knew they will follow her and discover everything. She knew what she had to do.

"O-Oui! Eet's true... I found moi true love," she declared blushing, feeling guilty at lying her own friends, but couldn't risk it. "H-He's verwy, how do you say, he's verwy shy and didn't want ozhers to find out we are dating.",

"I knew it! Now, please tell us what he's like, Fif!"

"Er..." paussed the young canary. "He's verwy shy around ozher people..."

"There must be, like something more," Shirley commented. "The boy of your dreams must be some dashing bird if he, like, caught your attention."

"Shirley's right, Fifi," Babs confirmed. "The guy seems totally unsuited for you if he's just shy and doesn't want your friends to find out. There must be more to him than just that."

Fifi averted her eyes. She was out of ideas to tell her friends regarding her supposed boyfriend. Just how can she describe a guy that doesn't even exist in the first place? However, in the midsts of need, her mind drifted to someone else who held a special place in her heart – her dear friend, the blue cat named Furrball.

"When I first met him, I was afraid of heem, but I learned zhat he was a lonely and kind soul. He actually was as afraid of moi as I was of heem."

"No way..." both girls gasped, listening intently as Fifi continued to describe the 'bird' that caught her heart. She told them some of the times she was with him in certain locations of the city, seeing the many sights of Acme Acres and always paying attention to her, trying his best to make a good impression of every place they visited.

She loved how he's very quiet, but always makes an effort to talk with her with his beautiful voice and wants to hear him sing again like the first time she realized he's not a 'vile jerk', but a boy with a golden heart. One who never gives up, even if he's afraid, but would always stand for her. Like the past friday when the two returned to her home after a run-up with her infamous classmate, Elmyra Duff. She chased them, wanting to have them taken home and keep showering them with love, but as many know, her love was too much and pretty much every animal, even the fiercest and crazy ones fear her. But, in spite of that, he defended her in spite of his fear by using a bit of his so-called 'bad luck' to miraculously stop the young girl. Just how did a potted plant, an anvil, and a piano fell consecutively is a mystery. But, it was even more curious the fact that those fell exactly when Elmyra had him in her overpowered grip and was left unharmed and quickly took a slug he found close by.

Now, not many know, but the one animal this girl would find absolutely frightening and utterly horrible were slugs and the moment her 'boyfriend' put one on her nose, well, it made her scream in shrill terror and fleeing faster than a roadrunner to her home.

"He faced Elmyra and won?!" Babs gasped. Just who was mad enough to actually fight her? Every animal known and unknown to the world fears her! Just who was this guy? He must be a toon genius to actually defeat the literal hardheaded Elmyra in a matter of seconds! Not even her and Buster, the top of their class could ever manage such a feat in such a short time.

"Like, no way, Fif. You definetly hit the jackpot with the guy!" Shirley exclaimed, earning a nod from Babs.

"Never met the guy, but already sound more great than all the boys in here combined."

"Moi mon amore would be verwy happy to hear vous compliments," Fifi smiled, pink hearts floating atop her head, but they faded as she realized what she just said... Furrball is without a doubt one of her closest friends, but she thought about him more as than a friend just now... Could it be she loves Furrball? Her, a canary fell in love with a cat?

"Are you alright, Fif? Your eyes look bigger than usual," Babs observed.

"O-Oui! I am alright, Babs!" the young canary responded, cutting of her train of thoughts. "I zhink I must go now... See vous tomorrow!" Just as that, she dashed out of the halls, as trying to escape her friends and newfound revelation.

"We're, like, going to follow her, arent't we Babs?"

"You know it, Shirley," Babs smiled. "If Fifi won't introduce us to the guy, then we'll have to see him ourselves!"
