A couple of hours into the party, I had stepped out to get some fresh air.

"They really stopped at nothing," I said while taking a glance back inside, a smile while seeing everyone having fun dancing and eating the food that had been brought in.

"I'm glad to see that you're better, Raven," came a voice from behind me.

"Are you really, Headmaster Grimm?" I asked while turning to face him as he stood in the shadows of the nearby trees.

"It's just us, you can drop that way of speaking," he said.

"That's what you told me to call you while we're at school, you're the one who wants to hide the truth from everyone and have me call you Headmaster Grimm at all times," I snapped back while glaring at him.

"And I was wrong to do that to you," Headmaster Grimm said.

"I failed as a father and so far I've been a terrible grandfather to you for which I am so sorry," he said. For a second time that day, I was completely stunned by what I had heard said by someone in my life who I never thought would say those words.

"You… you," is all I managed to get out.

"I know you're shocked, but I'm promising to be there for you more from here on," said Headmaster Grimm.

"Can… can I call you grandpa again?" I asked while looking down at my feet, tears rolling down my cheeks as I did so with all the few good memories I had of him flooding my mind.

"Call me whatever you want," Headmaster Grimm told me before giving me a hug which made me cry even more.

"Also, I'll have a surprise for you and the others tomorrow," he said.

"What kind of surprise?" I asked.

"You'll have to wait till tomorrow and hear about it along with everyone else, and I'm sure that it will shock you and the rest of those who will be there," he told me, pulling out of the hug in order to wipe my tears away.

"Now go enjoy your party before it gets to late," he said while pointing to the door. Unbeknownst to either of us, someone had been watching the whole thing, but we would find this out soon enough.
