TW: abuse, almost murder

It started off small.

Just a slap to the cheek here, and a small yank of hair there.

He thought she was just having a couple of bad days, we've all been there.

But eventually it started increasing.

What once was a slap on the cheek turned into a punch.

What once was a small tank of hair was now full on ripping it out of the scalp.

He thought she was just angry, she had been having a lot of bad days lately.

As the days went on these "fun times" as she liked to put it increased more and more.

Why didn't he stop her you ask?

He thought it was normal, they had always playfully shoved or yanked one another. And she got physical when she was angry so he figured she was just pissed.

But when stuff really started getting out of control he didn't know what to do. She was his wife after all, he couldn't just divorce her cause she was hurting him could he?

Also she was pregnant with their child, 'it's just the hormones' he thought for many months.

After the child was born it seemed to get even worse. Every night she would take out all her anger on him. He once joked she should just get a punching bag, she didn't like that.

She never touched their kid though, guess she just liked to save it for him. As the years went on more marks and scars covered his skin.

His friends, family, and even the fans would ask what was going on. He would lie and just say he was very clumsy. I mean he couldn't tell the world his wife was hurting him could he? She wasn't a bad person she was just upset...

One day Austin and the kids were all in the living room. They heard the door open and slam shut. The kids raced for their rooms as they knew what were to happen next. They had heard it all too much...

Hours later he was on his knees cleaning the blood off the carpet, she had busted his lip with a punch, she had become stronger over the years.

The kids silently watched him through the hallway. They should be used to it now, but it still upset them seeing their father get hurt.

Ava looked down to her younger brother, he had the same sad expression on his face as she had.

"I don't like it when Mommy hurts Daddy." Alex whispered to no one in particular.

She rubbed her little brothers back comfortingly,

"Me too Alex, me too."

*its 2036, Austin is 40, Ally is 40, and Ava is 14 and Alex is 12*

The kids were at school for their first day back. Austin was home alone, Ally was at work.

You see after they reunited on the Helen Show 10 years ago and became a duo it fell apart only 6 months later.

Ally had become very possessive (some would say controlling) when they worked as a duo. She would have to control everything down to the clothes they wore otherwise she would burst into fits of rage.

When they got engaged they quit the duo because it was to much pressure. Ally didn't like Austin working as a solo artist or having a regular job so he became a stay at home dad when their daughter was born.

Everyone wondered why it was Austin staying home with the kids and not Ally but she would brush it off and come up with some excuse.

As the years passed she became much more controlling then when the duo was first created.

Austin wasn't allowed to go out by himself, hang out with his friends unless Ally was present. He wasn't even allowed to choose his own clothes. He wasn't allowed to contact any girls unless they were Ally or Ava. Not even his own mother and Trish one of his best friends since forever.

The Latina had been very upset at first, she had considered him one of her best friends. Eventually she moved on though, just like everyone else.

When Ally became controlling and Austin lost 90% of freedom he also lost most of his friends. He rarely saw Dez anymore, Ally didn't let him be friends with Trish. Any friends he had outside of their group he was cut off from.

So basically only Ally and the kids were his friends.

Back to Austin being home alone as he waited for Ally and the children.

He was in the kitchen, prepping dinner. Over the years Austin learned to make foods other the pancakes, considering he wasn't allowed to eat those anymore. Oh yeah, she controlled what he ate too.

He was slicing vegetables when he heard the front door open. He flinched at the scary noise and only calmed down when he heard his children's voices.

Ava was now 14 and Alex was 12. They knew about their father being abused but it had been happening their whole lives so they didn't know it was so bad.

He listened in on their conversation, he liked listening to his kids talk. After all, when Ally became super possessive and controlling he was cut off from a lot of things in his usual life.

For starters he was no longer allowed to listen to or play music. That had been hard but he did it because he loves Ally and Ally knows what's best for him.

Ally had also taken out the TV's and his phone, so he no longer had any access to the outside world.

The kids were talking about something called TikTok he believed? After his phone was taken away years ago he had no idea what was going on in the terms of social media.

He listened carefully to the children, the only other noise you could hear was the chopping of the vegetables.

"That song is so cool, it's also so old, I can't believe it's trending again." He heard Ava say.

"I know, who would of thought one of dads old songs from what 25 years ago? Would ever trend again." Alex replied to his sister.

He dropped his knife, his music was trending again? Oh Austin missed music, he hadn't preformed or played an instrument in 15 years. He stopped singing awhile ago, Ally said his voice was annoying and Ally knows best...right?

The kids continued chatting, eventually they made their way up to their rooms and Austin was left alone again.

Half an hour later dinner was done and Austin was setting the table, he heard a door slam and turned to see his angry wife stomping towards him.

"Oh hi babe, dinners re-" he was cutoff by her grabbing his jaw roughly and placing her lips on his.

He was surprised by this, over the years Ally had become very stingy with physical touch.

After a moment she pulled back, he was about to say something but was cutoff by a harsh slap. He bit his tongue to keep the tears from running, Ally hated it when he cried.

Then an expression crossed her face, to Austin it looked like guilt and love but to anyone else they knew it was fake.

"You know I love you right?" She questioned, she cupped his red cheek harshly, to him it was a sweet gesture but to anyone else it was her asserting her dominance.

"Y-yeah." He stuttered.

"Good." She then removed her hand and walked upstairs to their bedroom.

He brushed off the feeling he had and continued setting the table.

Tonight was the final straw. The kids were out, it was just Austin & Ally. You've heard of them, two people with a passion for music so strong they were bound to fall in love...right?

Austin was sitting on the couch, reading a book. Although Austin hated reading in highschool he came to love it over the years because it was the only source of entertainment he had.

He was reading the book, so involved in the story he didn't notice the angry figure lurking towards him.

She approached him quietly, once she was close enough she slapped the book out of his hands and yanked his hair so hard she was sure she removed some.

He fell onto the floor as she let go. He crawled back onto the couch, not sure what were going to happen next.

Ally punched and kicked and slapped him for what seemed like hours. Both were our breath when she stopped.

She then pulled out something he had never seen her use the whole time she was doing this to him.

A blade.

She wasn't going to use the blade on him, she loved him...right?

Wrong. She pulled the blade out and forcefully spun Austin around. She took the blade and cut the shirt off. Leaving his bare back exposed. She dug the blade across his skin, blood trailing down immediately.

She teased the blade along his arms, pressing just enough to draw blood. She continued doing that when her eyes flicked down to a certain spot. She wasn't going to kill him... right?

Wrong again. She dragged the blade to the spot of his wrist. Blood gushing out so fast he was about to pass out. Once she was satisfied she left, leaving him to die on the couch. She grabbed her keys and left.

The kids came home a couple minutes after she left. They walked into the living room, dropping everything as they spotted their dying father.

Alex immediately tore his shirt off, wrapping it around the open wrist. Ava looked down at her father, to the bloodstained couch, to her mothers missing keys. That was when it clicked, her mother did this. Ava had never been more mad in her life, her mother was going to get it and get it good.

She immediately called an ambulance and then called 911 to file an abuse report.

The ambulance arrived just in time, they were able to save Austin even though he had major blood loss.

After that day Ally was never found again, while the kids and Austin were at the hospital she had snuck back into the house and grabbed her things, never to be seen again.

As for Austin and the kids? Once everyone found out about Austin being in the hospital they all rushed down for a long awaited tearful reunion.

No one knew why he was in the hospital... well except Austin and the kids. But someone had to tell them and it wasn't going to be Austin.

After seeing her fathers and friends worried and curious looks she knew it was time to let the cat out of the bag. She glanced at her father one last time, he knew what was she was going to do and he wasn't going to stop her.

"Can I have everyone's attention?" Ava asked, instantly grabbing everyone's intentions.

"Your all probably wondering why Dad is here, and why Mom isn't..."

"You see, Moms been abusing dad, for over 16 years. Since before I was even conceived. She would hurt him. It started off small, a slap here and then a hair yank here. But as I got older it got worse. I remember when I was 6 and I had just come home from school."

Ava had just arrived home from preschool. The bus had dropped her off and she used the key her mother gave her to unlock the door.

She quietly walked through the kitchen, placing her bag on the counter. She stopped when she heard screams from upstairs. She heard what sounded like several slaps followed by more screams. She heard her mother shout words like "Useless, talentless, good-for-nothing" at her father. Ava cringed as her father released another blood curdling scream.

She quietly made her way into her brothers room, where he was taking a nap. She closed the door quietly and went into her own rooms. She shut the door but she could still hear the screams.

An hour later she went downstairs to see her father in the kitchen preparing dinner. His face was turned away from her and so she knew it was bad.

Ava had never seen her fathers face completely clear. It always had bruises, or scars, or wounds on it.

She grabbed her dad by the waist, turning her towards him. She pulled him closer and into a tight hug. He bent down to her level and she reached to gently touch the purple bruise forming on his face.

He winced as she touched it so she she quickly kissed it and squeezed his hand. He smiled at his daughter and continued making dinner.

Over the years it became a routine. Ally would hurt Austin, Ava would nurse and comfort him, and they would repeat the cycle again the next day.

*end of flashback*

"So yeah, mom abused dad. She was so possessive and controlling over him I'm surprised no one noticed. She basically made him Rapunzel, locking him in our house for years with no contact with the outside world. Back to today, Alex and I had gotten home from school, we walked into the living room and there he was blood gushing out of his arm and mom no where to be found." Ava finished.

By the time she finished her story everyone had tears in the eyes. Everyone turned back to the beaten blonde and everyone started sobbing.

They all raced towards him, wrapping him in the tightest, but gentle hugs.

"I'm so,so sorry Austin. I can't believe we never noticed. How long has this been going on for?" Trish questioned, shock, hurt, sadness, and fear all present in her voice.

"18 years." He mumbled, looking down at the blue hospital gown.

"Why did you never say anything?" Mimi asked, so much hurt present in her face, she felt like the worlds worst mother. For 18 years she let her son be abused by a woman she qualified as her own daughter.

"I thought she was just angry, or maybe I did something wrong. She never meant to hurt me, she loves me...right?"

No one answered the blonde, they all knew the answer.

Once Austin was released from the hospital Mike and Mimi moved him and the kids into their house. When Austin was still famous he had bought them a giant house so they had plenty of room and money.

When they had moved in Mike and Mimi immediately started looking into therapies for Austin. They knew he wasn't stable enough mentally to take care of himself and the kids.

The children continued on with their life. Ava went on to graduate high school a couple years later and went to her dream college in California, she was freshly engaged with a fiancé they knew wouldn't hurt her.

Alex was still in highschool, he was a senior now and an internet sensation just like his father.

As for Ally nobody knows what happened to her, she had cut off contact with anybody from her old life and was apparently living in Vegas.

As for Austin, once the public found out what happened he was immediately the subject of every article, video, and talk show.

He never played music again though, Ally made him really love music and after all that's happened it was to much for him to pick up a guitar and sing.

He went to many talk shows and interviews though, and each time he told his story. Each time he told his story the world seemed to hate Ally Dawson a little more.

Austin never remarried, while Ally may have hurt him he still loved her...right?

And everyone thought from there on it would be smooth sailing.

Wrong.

oh WOW. I have no idea where this came from and let me clear up a few things. I am not and have never been abused I just randomly came up with this. Also I am not trying to romanticize abuse in any way. Also if someone is abusing you please tell someone because abuse is not okay if someone is hurting you whether physically or mentally tell someone. On that note I hope you enjoyed this story and please leave a review! Thank you!
