Chapter 12

In the middle of the night, Rollan steered the airship leaving Alfida for a break, which sat on the stairs with a cup of coffee.

"You sure you don't want a cup?" Questioned Alfida watching Rollan shake his head.

"No, I'm good," Responded Rollan. "I need to be focused," Commented Rollan making Alfida chuckle.

"There's no traffic in the air. Are you expecting you would crash in midair?"

"Or that it would fall," Added Rollan making Alfida roll her eyes amused.

"That's not how it works," Noticed Alfida, then heard a door crash back and spotted the prince son of Harald running out of the ship's cabin followed by a pirate, which followed with a large sword. Rollan noticed the boy as well and glimpsed at Alfida.

"Isn't that Harald's son?" Questioned the Spaniard watching the boy come to their direction, then Alfida rolled her eyes and whistled to call the attention of the pirate.

"That's King Harald's son. Leave him alone," Ordered Alfida watching the pirate groan and get back into the cabin, while Anders looked at the duo neutrally.

"I shouldn't be here right?" Questioned Anders watching Rollan shrug his shoulders.

"I assumed you were with the others, 'cause you needed protection," Commented Rollan making Anders nod.

"My father wants them to protect me. I don't want my father to be protecting me every time. I want to be able to fight as well and show him I'm able to do things my own," Explained the teenager watching Alfida shrug her shoulders.

"That's a good thing. The issue just is, that we're not sure, if we can fight the spirits with any kind of weapon," Mentioned the pirate captain.

"Right, right, but you guys got a plan, right?" Questioned Anders watching Alfida shake her head.

"Our boy's first priority is to get back home and see where Gerda is. Anything else comes next," Mentioned Alfida. "They're unable to function without knowing anything about her. Mostly Señor here,"

"Who says, I'm not functional?" Questioned Rollan.

"Boy, you feared, that the ship wouldn't fly straight, although the flaps are stabilized up there," Answered Alfida seriously. "You've been a thousand times in my ship. You're supposed to know that. Kai or Gerda are excused, cause they don't travel that much,"

"What's all the teatro? I'm worried about my future wife. She doesn't deserve to lose her life right now"

"Good, good. I'll be quiet. Just be careful with the ship," Warned Alfida making Rollan frown.

"You just told me seconds ago, I should know, that the ship doesn't crash on its own,"

"Yes, but if the tip of an iceberg appears or anything alike, you're supposed to dodge it. And by night it's slightly harder to see them," Commented Alfida making Rollan sigh slightly annoyed by the brother-in-law's girlfriend.

Three days later, Gerda and the trolls were in an unfamiliar town sitting together around a campfire during the day, so they could all have lunch together. Currently, Una and Orm were grilling on a stick two fishes, that had been fished out from the water about an hour ago. All the guests, that had already their fish were eating it with their hands, not worrying about the missing cutleries.

Gerda was picking out from the trout bits from its body and glimpsed down at her weasel, which was nibbling on a fish head.

"It's good, isn't it?" Questioned Gerda watching the weasel eating, then looked at the troll soldiers laughing while eating their fish carefree and King Arrog spread on three different ice-formed plates meat bits of a fish to facilitate the eating for his sons. Gerda looked at Irma and the Snow Queen, which sat slightly farther from the campfire eating their fish as well. "How does the fish taste, Snow Queen?" Asked Gerda watching the Snow Queen eating. "Is it good?"

"It's decent," Responded the Snow Queen. "You know, I don't have a sense of taste. You could give me something salty or poisoned, I wouldn't notice,"

"Wow, this means if someone gave you poison, you wouldn't be able to taste it?"

"Yes also don't worry. Poison can't kill me, only heat," Warned the Snow Queen making Irma nod.

"My hands are getting colder," Commented Una handing the stick out to Orm, which took it and rubbed her hands together to warm herself up. One troll soldier helped Orm by holding the stick aside to observe the mother of Gerda.

Gerda placed down the fishbone, then got up to move towards Irma and the Snow Queen.

"Is anyone interested in accompanying me to the harbor?" Questioned Gerda watching Irma shrug her shoulders and the Snow Queen shake her head.

"At the moment not," Responded the Snow Queen. "Why aren't you eating another fish?"

"Not really hungry. I'm curious to go at the harbor to see if the coast guards have heard anything of Rollan or Kai," Commented Gerda making Irma nod.

"I can come, after I finish my fish," Offered Irma making Gerda smile.

"Mom, is it okay, that I and Irma go to the harbor?" Questioned Gerda earning a worried look from the mother.

"It's not a good idea for you two to go alone," Said Una, then Orm handed the fish out to the other soldier and got up.

"Don't worry ma'am. I will accompany them," Suggested Orm coming towards the two girls making Gerda smile and share a hug with her troll friend.

"You're the best, Orm," Commented Gerda making the Snow Queen chuckle.

"See? I'm a very good friend. Why would you not go?" Asked Orm looking at the queen.

"Simple. I have the right to say no, when I feel like to," Answered the woman making Orm tilt his head a little nagged.

"You know Orm, you can't always say yes to everything. With the time people will take your help for granted and not give you anything back," Explained Una making Orm scratch his head. "It's not like you're getting punished for disagreeing,"

"You know, I sort of had a bad experience with "no's"," Explained Orm making the two young girls chuckle.

By the harbor, the airship where Alfida's crew has approached the ports carefully to hover over a free parking spot beside the sailors' bridge. Currently, two guards were holding another ship by the ropes to fix them on the poles to have it hold tight. On top of the airship of Alfida's, the pirates held their own ropes ready, waiting for the guards to come towards them. Rollan lied on the ground with his eyes closed, then shrieked as he heard Alfida complain about something to a pirate. Rollan glimpsed in her direction to see her talk with Alec and down on the ground sat Kai drawing on an author's book. Rollan got up to approach the trio, then stood there looking at them.

In the meantime, Gerda flew in the air above Orm and Irma, which walked together to make their way to the harbor. Gerda observed at the harbor the two currently available ships and took course towards the place leaving the two friends back. The blonde reached the port to see the two different ships and noticed that the one larger ship had the crest of a royal family. Gerda out of curiosity moved down towards the airship and smiled as she recognized her friends there together with Prince Anders. The woman flew towards the group and embraced herself on Rollan's back shrieking him. Kai and Alfida smiled excited about the friend's arrival and embraced both adults from the side.

"Gerda!" Shouted the triad, followed by the blonde destransforming back to be able to squeeze herself between the friends and the fiancè, which leaned his head on Gerda's shoulder. Alfida and Kai got off Gerda, which got into the arms of her future husband.

"I'm so happy to see you again," Commented Gerda leaning her head beside Rollan, which embraced her tightly.

"I heard about some creatures freezing the towns. King Harald's crew assumed that…..you were frozen," Mentioned Rollan watching Gerda get off his arms, then cup Rollan's cheek to cheer him up.

"I'm fine, mi amor," Assured the blonde leaning her forehead along with Rollan on each other for affection. "How was the trip? Did something happen?"

"I…uh..,...I almost drowned in a tomb and Kai saved my life," Commented Rollan making Gerda wide her eyes surprised.

"Really?" Questioned Gerda curious and looked at Alfida and Kai.

"A drawer fell on his head and knocked him down. We noticed he was gone for a while and went to check it out," Kai mentioned gazing at Rollan, which smiled a little and exchanged looks with Gerda.

"I knew this trip was a good idea," Commented Gerda taking Rollan's hand and pecked the man on his cheek making him grin.

"Good thing about this trip, they can talk now with each other normally and Kai was able to help me perform CPR on him," Mentioned Alfida making Kai frown his eyebrows annoyed.

"Alfida! No!" Complained Kai making Alfida chuckle, while Gerda copied the friend as well.

"For real?" Questioned the blonde making Alfida nod. "That was amazing," Confessed the older sister patting the brother on the shoulder, which remained annoyed.

"What's next? Where are those spirits?" Questioned Kai looking at his sister.

"A couple of them we managed to get rid of thanks to Irma and the Snow Queen. I don't know, what were expecting next. We didn't count the spirits, that escaped. We just know it was caused by Irma and the one classmate of her by accident. She asked the Snow Queen for help and Orm along with me happened to pass by, encountering the spirits," The blonde told the group.

"Ok, and how did the girls release the spirits?" Questioned Kai.

"So far I understand under the ice, where the ice palace is the spirits are locked inside and there is another type of spirit they call the Snow King. Apparently, he was able to produce those spirits and they were there in the lake until the sigil was accidentally activated by two ice-controlling wizards. The Snow Queen tried to close along with Irma the sigil, but still, a couple of spirits made it out,"

"Okay, and what shall we do now? Shall we meet the Snow Queen and ask her, what's next? She knows her location better," Questioned Kai making Gerda think about it and nod.

"Yeah, I think that's the best thing we can do at the moment," Mentioned Gerda. "Oh now that we're going to sink. You guys have to meet Irma….."

A couple of moments later, the airship was pulled down and the group had left the ship with the exception of the pirates to encounter the young girl who observed Gerda introducing the team.

"This is Alfida. I met her during my trip to find Kai. She's a pirate captain and also Kai's girlfriend," Gerda introduced watching Alfida nod, then Rollan was the next holding out his hand to shake the kid's hand. "That's Rollan, my fiance,"

"Great to meet you," Responded Rollan making the brunette nod, then she moved to the young prince around her height and gave him her hand as well.

"This is Prince Anders, the son of King Harald," Added Gerda watching the two smile at each other, then chuckled. "I'm sure you two will get along quite well," Gerda said playfully and got back to Rollan to nudge him on his arm.

"Como?"

"Don't be stupid. It's obvious," Commented Gerda caressing Rollan on his cheek, still confusing the raven-haired man, which shrugged his shoulders but allowed the love life partner to touch him. Rollan grabbed Gerda by her hand on the cheek, then got her comment and looked at the duo again to listen to Anders talk about his magical DNA.

"Oh wait…you believe they could like each other?" Questioned Rollan and Gerda nodded, making Rollan chuckle.

"Es possible," Stated Rollan and Gerda leaned her forehead on his amorously.

"I missed listening to you speaking Spanish," Confessed the blonde while the Spaniard smiled at her.

I'm taking a little break to wash my mind "Laughs". Or actually, I have an idea of how to write down the next chapter, which I didn't before. We'll see how thing turn out.

Weirdly as I expected the fic will even be finished before the movie aired somewhere I can see. Turkey already has it, but I don't have the chance to see it there.
