"Apple, wait a minute!" I yelled after catching up to her in the Enchanted Forest. I had to grab her by the hand in order to get her to stop.
"How weren't you mad back there, Raven?" she asked without looking at me.
"I was mad; hex, I still am," I said.
"But you acted before I could and I'm more worried for you right now thanks to what you did back there," I said.
"Was I really so blind that I couldn't see what Daring is actually like, I mean he's such a monster for what he said about your family," Apple said, her voice giving away that she was crying.
"Hey," I said while hugging her from behind.
"It's easy to miss-judge people, but now you know the truth and can move on from him to find something new," I said.
"Thank Raven," said Apple, who I felt relaxed in my arms.
"Oh Godmother, what will my mother say when she hears about this?" she suddenly asked while turning to look at me with a worried expression.
"Does it really matter anymore?" I questioned back. We both then broke out into laughter.
"I… I guess you have a point," said Apple through her laughter. We both then decided to sit down under a nearby tree.
"Can I tell you something, Raven?" she asked while looking up at the sky through the branches of the tree.
"Of course you can," I said.
"I never really liked Daring," Apple told me.
"What?" I asked out of surprise.
"Truthfully, I only ever played along because it's what was hexpected of me by everyone since he was supposed to be my True Love," Apple said while looking at the ground.
"And I was afraid to do what you did even though I really wanted to, so I was jealous that you were able to stand up for yourself," she told me.
"Then, is there someone you do like?" I asked while looking at her, my face flushed bright red and heart racing with hope that she would say my name.
"Yeah, there is," said Apple before leaning in and kissing me. After the initial shock I kissed back, and even with my eyes closed I could tell a bright light came from our connected lips.
