Chapter 14
The team had split into the ice-made sled and locomotive to head toward the location, where the Snow Queen's palace was. Gerda, Kai, Alfida, Rollan, Una, Irma, and Anders had boarded the sled, following the locomotive, where the rest of the team was. Most of the humans sat in the sled being pulled by the train, remaining quiet for the ride.
Throughout the ride, Rollan lied on the bottom of the sled gazing at the stars with a neutral facial expression. In front of him sat Alfida and Kai with Gerda right in front of them. Kai looked behind him to see Rollan lying on the ground, then looked at Alfida and pointed at the man.
"Did something happen?" Questioned Kai making Alfida shrug her shoulders, then lift her foot to nudge Gerda on her back shrieking her and glare back annoyed at her friend.
"What's with Rollan?" Questioned Alfida and Gerda looked above her friends to see him on the ground.
"I don't know," Responded Gerda getting up. "How long has he been there?"
"I don't know. I just noticed someone wasn't around," Commented Kai making Gerda nod, which passed beside her brother to look down at her fiancé looking at the stars.
"You're okay?" Asked Gerda sitting down next to her fiancè, which nodded.
"I've been looking at the stars for a little while. I used to hear from my father, when he looked at the stars with me down in Spain, that it would make the rest of our world look meaningless compared to the sky," Commented Rollan making Gerda nod.
"I think I've read that sentence somewhere," Mentioned Gerda, then Rollan sat up and removed his vest.
"Here I put you this down on the ground, so you don't feel cold," Offered Rollan watching Gerda shake her head and shove the vest back at Rollan.
"I'm fine by sitting for now," Answered Gerda. "Perhaps the best for you is to not lie down on your back here or you'll catch a cold. Despite your warm pullover,"
"Maybe," Commented Rollan putting on his vest, then felt Gerda peck him randomly on his cheek, making him wide his eyes and smile.
"Have you thought about, what we shall do after we are through this?" Questioned Gerda watching Rollan ponder about the question.
"Get married?" Questioned Rollan making Gerda nod.
"Not only that. Had you ever thought about taking me with you to see Spain? Introduce me to your mom and the place you grew up?"
"I'd love if you would meet my mama. I'm sure she's going to like you," Promised the Spaniard sensing Gerda caress him on his cheek. "She might just have a lot to ask. It's going to be a shock for her to see me arriving and tell you're her future daughter-in-law,"
"Don't you think she fears, that she won't see you for a long while again?" Questioned Gerda. "You know, when we're going to visit her,"
"If she would be interested I could take her to live in our town here. So she would be able to see us and even meet the rest of your family," Commented Rollan making Gerda nod.
"And that's not all she's going to see in the future when she's here," Added Gerda tapping Rollan on his nose, then lied her head on his shoulder. "She will see one day, how two little feet will walk around and cause joy to everybody…..including us two," Gerda commented embracing Rollan's arm, while he leaned his head over hers admiring the view to off the vehicle.
Kai, that sat near them had caught part of their conversation and looked at Alfida, which glimpsed at the front, he then grabbed Alfida by her hand to get her attention.
"I did just listen to their conversation," Commented Kai watching Alfida look at their friends. Alfida chuckled, then placed her hand on Kai's cheek.
"Was it about their wedding or future?" Questioned Alfida making Kai nod. "We're going to be present in their future as well. Just a few things will change and it won't be with them only. Us the change will reach too and it's for the good," Assured Alfida caressing her boyfriend to soothe him about his thoughts. "You will learn to embrace that change and even start to like life how it is then,"
"Maybe you're right. We'll see it in a few years," Kai added and followed the road with his eyes along with the rest of the crew.
The crew reached in the early morning the location of the palace of the Snow Queen and approached the area, where the seal of lake Gao was. The locomotive stopped and the Snow Queen looked out of the vehicle, afterward the trolls stepped out of the vehicle to take a break from the minor space in the vehicle.
"Our last trip to the palace was ten times more comfortable and it was a carriage with cannon balls," Complained one of the troll soldiers earning a nod from the other soldier. The duo watched the troll triplets hop out of the vehicle to look at the area, then Orm appeared to pick up two of the siblings and a third soldier picked the third one, then waited for their King to leave as well, followed by a troll soldier carrying ice-made shields in a heap. Orm looked back at the sled behind the train and waved at the humans seeing only Gerda and Kai wave back at them, while the others remained on their seat.
"Okay, the ones, who are meant to fight, follow me. Una, you can take the kids to my palace. You'll be safe there as long as we fight," Stated the Snow Queen making the brunette nod, which got down of the sled with the help of her son.
"Do we need keys?" Questioned Una making the Snow Queen frown.
"Why should a palace in the middle of nowhere have keys?" Questioned the Snow Queen watching Una shrug her shoulders.
"A habit," Spoke Una moving towards the trolls with the cubs to pick one of the boys. "You're heavy, little one,"
"Anders, Irma. Do you think you're up to the fight?" Questioned the Snow Queen watching Irma nod along with the prince.
"I want to prove to my father I can defend myself and others too," Commented Anders making the Snow Queen nod and watch Orm raise his hand.
"But how will he see that, if he's frozen back at the kingdom?" Questioned Orm.
"He won't. He just has to believe me or anyone else from you," Stated Anders, then watched Rollan approach the shorter boy to place his hand on his shoulder.
"Most of us are professionals. We'll show you how to fight like a hero," Announced Rollan holding his arm up to show his small bicep on the arm making Anders nod and copy him a little confused.
"Your helmet seems to be tight," Commented the Snow Queen grabbing it to see it perfectly fit Rollan's head and placed it back. "Nevermind, the rest of you take your armor and get ready. This is the best way we could handle the situation altogether. I will re-open along with Irma a hole in the ice, then I will stay back there alone and make sure the hole won't grow any bigger. That little hole will let only a spirit pass through it, this giving Irma an easier chance to catch him with her ice power. You freeze him and the rest of the team breaks them in pieces. As I see we are many men. Get in a trio and each takes down one iced spirit. If things go as I imagine, we can go faster," Explained the queen watching the group nod.
"What about the Snow King?" Asked Orm Alfida raising her arm up.
"That's going to be the tricky part. There I would need Irma's help and freeze along with her giant spirit," Commented Snow Queen making Kai gulp and look at Gerda, which listened to her friend. "Your powers could be handy for this as well. To prevent the frozen Snow King to break the ground under us, you help it hover above the surface, so all others can help destroy him,"
"I think I can do that. It might be a little heavier than that one robot head of my father," Mentioned Anders unsure, then Gerda patted the teenager on the shoulder.
"Don't think with the head, think with the heart. This sentence you have to remember. One of the most informative tricks from magicians,"
"Right," Commented Anders, then watched Alfida climb into the ship to pick up the ice-made weapons to give it out to the team, so their armor would now be complete with the additional shield and helmet, they had gotten before the ride.
The team walked behind the Snow Queen to make their way together to the place, where the seal was closed. The crew got around the ice looking at the symbol, which made King Arrog and a soldier drop their chin from recognizing the symbol.
"It's the same symbol my grandfather saw when he tried to break the seal back when the troll kingdom had been frozen," Commented Arrog making the soldier nod.
"Have at least three feet away from each other. Irma, I'd like you to stay in front there on the other side of the symbol. Just listen very carefully to what I say. Return to Gerda only, when I say so," Instructed the Snow Queen making Irma nod and get down on the ice to get to the announced spot, while the Snow Queen stepped on the other side waiting for Irma.
"I'm ready," Stated the girl and the queen got down on the ice with her hand followed by Irma, then watched together how a hole magically created itself in the middle of it. The rest of the crew watched the hole slowly get bigger with the connection of the two magicians and as it was a larger circle the Snow Queen took her hand off, calling Irma to stop as well.
"Stop!" Ordered the Snow Queen watching the girl stand up, then the queen pointed at the girl to return to Gerda, which gave the girl a thumb up. "Get ready," Ordered the Snow Queen watching the hole waiting for any spirits to leave the place. The team waited for a moment, then exchanged looks wondering, if the spirits would notice the plan and as the Snow Queen was about to pick up her staff, the first spirit shot out of the hole shrieking the group along with the Snow Queen, which wasn't expecting the way the spirit came out. The Snow Queen threw an ice ray toward the spirit, followed by Irma, who reacted afterward and managed to freeze the spirit together.
"Now use your powers, Anders!" Ordered the Snow Queen, then glimpsed into the open hole to see farther down a spirit move towards the surface and the Snow Queen held her hand on the ground to keep the shape of the hole, thereafter observed Anders use his powers to hover the frozen spirit down and dropped it carefully over the snow. The four trolls jumped at the ice sculpture of the spirit to smash it into pieces, then Anders gave the boys behind him a thumb up, which smiled back at the teenage boy.
"Alright, be ready, there's another one on its way," Warned the Snow Queen and a new spirit flew out in the air to glare down at the Snow Queen, which mirrored his facial expression and watched him get frozen, then being pulled down with Ander's magical gift down at the other side of the seal. Irma watched Gerda and Alfida together run at the spirit to begin to break it, followed by Orm jumping against the ice statue followed by Luta, which was on Orm's shoulder and she jumped at the head trying to nibble on the ice.
The Snow Queen watched the spirit come towards the hole, then she moved her hand up to make a countdown. As the spirit flew out of the hole, she froze the spirit by herself, then watched Irma shot a blast afterward missing the frozen creature due to its early fall, and just looked at Anders move the creature towards the trolls. Behind him, Rollan looked at Kai, which observed the whole scene.
"You're not going to give it a try?" Questioned Rollan watching Kai shake his head.
"For now, I wait," Answered Kai. "Why don't you go?"
"Waiting for our team to go," Responded Rollan.
"You'll have to wait long," Commented Kai watching the trolls destroy with their swords the spirits from different sides.
The Snow Queen looked with a sneaky grin at the upcoming spirit and looked at Irma, which looked at the queen waiting, then the girl earned a thumb up from the taller magician, which took a step back to watch the spirit get closer and the queen looked up in the air, expecting the creature to fly out, but apparently got stuck. The Snow Queen looked down along with Irma, which held her hand up in the air prepared to shoot, and tilted her head confused.
"Well, that's embarrassing," Commented Alfida at seeing the rather large head look up over the hole, then tried to get his head out making Orm chuckle, which ran towards the spirit to use his foot to kick the spirit in the head, but his foot passed through the head and landed in the water causing Orm to do a split over the surface.
"Ouch!"
"Did you really think, that was going to work?" Asked the Snow Queen serious by pulling the troll by his ears out of the water and placed him beside the hole. "Irma, Gerda please take him aside and take care of him. I'll take it from here," Commanded the Snow Queen watching Gerda come along with Irma. Rollan noticing Gerda was going to carry her friend, he joined as well and picked Orm by his feet to carry him quicker.
"Thank you," Gerda said, then watched Orm drop his head aside embarrassed.
"I'm sorry. I should have known, this was a bad idea," Stated Orm.
"Perhaps if you had used your shield or boots made by the Snow Queen it would have worked," Commented Rollan, then heard a yell and looked behind to see Alfida had smashed the frozen head of the spirit to see the body of the spirit fly up, ending up frozen as well and getting smashed in pieces by Alfida again. "What are you going to do?" Asked Rollan watching Gerda stop to put Orm's head down, then Gerda signaled Rollan to get to her side, so Irma could kneel down in front of Orm to heal his foot. "Wow, Irma can heal as well?" Asked Rollan curious making the girl nod with a little smile. "Muy fantastico," Complimented Rollan earning the attention of the teenage girl.
"Thank you,"
"She's also the same girl, that healed my brother years ago," Mentioned Gerda making Rollan smile.
"How come she has so many powers and you or Snow Queen have only one?" Questioned Rollan making Gerda smile.
"As the Snow Queen once said, it's not the number of powers, that matter, it's the way they're used," Explained Gerda making Rollan nod and watch one spirit fly up in the air, getting hit by an ice blast. Anders down on the ground then watched Alfida wave at him, earning a nod from the teen. Kai approached the girl, which sent him an air kiss confusing him, then the girlfriend took off Kai's hands the sword and was catapulted in the air by the prince, shrieking Kai, which watched Alfida use both swords to slice the spirit in half, then spun around with Anders help to slice the pieces smaller. Anders somewhat failed at holding Alfida, then tried to catch her with his power, which only slowed down her fall to give the scared Kai an easy path to catch the woman from landing on ice. Alfida was surprised at the boyfriend, who caught her and then placed her lips on his making Kai turn fire-like red from the girl's deed.
"Wow, I have never seen Kai so smoothly," Commented Rollan earning Gerda's attention, which looked at the front to see Alfida in Kai's arms in a small make-up session.
"Didn't expect to see this so early. I have to admit," Commented Gerda making Rollan nod, then watched Orm point at the ice surface to see a large shadow pass under them.
"Did you guys see that?" Asked Orm surprised making Gerda nod and call for the Snow Queen.
"Snow Queen! A large creature is moving under the surface!" Warned Gerda loud earning the attention of the queen, which looked at the ice to see something approach them. Another small spirit left the hole, followed by a second one and the Snow Queen was about to freeze them and fell to the ground as the large creature smashed its head against the ice field.
"Irma, quick froze those spirits," Ordered Gerda watching both spirits come towards the quartet's direction and Rollan dropped his mouth as he recognized one of the spirit's faces, which was his own reflection.
"Is that me?" Asked Rollan, followed by Gerda turning into a dragon and grab Rollan from the side to take off, but shrieked as the spirits came in their direction.
"That wasn't my idea," Commented Gerda holding her fiancé from under the arms, while he held his sword in his hand. He had an idea, then threw it against the spirits only watching it pass through one, which got sliced in two pieces and flew around uncontrollably.
"Uh you got a second sword?" Asked Rollan rolling his eyes up at the blonde, then shrieked as the spirit got frozen and fell down towards Irma, which shrieked and held her hands above her head to pull out from the ground an ice ramp to protect her head.
From the other side, another frozen spirit was thrown against the ice beast falling above Irma, which caused itself to get broken along with the other one. Upon hearing it break, Irma opened up her eyes to see the ramp she built herself accidentally and noticed the number of large pieces beside her, then looked farther to the others to see Prince Anders giving her a thumb up making her smile slightly enamored with the brunette teen.
Arrog was on his knees staring into the hole to look for any more spirits, then jumped back as the giant creates inside the lake blew a breeze towards the king, which jumped back to avoid getting hit and the Snow Queen watched the creature inside the lake swim around, making the Snow Queen frown, wondering, what was up with him.
"He is not trying to break through, isn't he?" Questioned King Arrog watching the Snow Queen shake her head.
"It's a magical seal. He can't break through so easily," Mentioned the Snow Queen watching a breeze come out of the hole earning the attention of the duo, which watched it disappear in the sky and turn into snowflakes, confusing King Arrog, which looked around the area, followed by a few others.
"Is this a good thing?" Questioned the king as the Snow Queen looked around as well, then heard Kai call everyone's attention to point at one side to see the ice pieces gather together to form around each size's trolls out of ice. The former minions of the Snow Queen from years ago.
"The Snow King is trying to make our lives harder. Take these trolls down. Irma! I need your help. We have to close the hole!" Ordered the Snow Queen watching Irma come towards her direction while the others now gathered together in trios with the exception of Irma and the Snow Queen.
Gerda dropped Rollan by Kai and Alfida, then transformed back into herself and looked around for her sword, then watched Orm come towards her with two blades and handed her hers back.
"I think it's time to fight," Mentioned Orm earning a nod from Alfida and Gerda, which followed him into the space.
Kai watched the girls leave, then observed Rollan smack his sword against the shield excited about the upcoming fight and looked at Kai.
"This battle is going to be legendary!" Announced Rollan loud, then Anders came between the two young men and looked up at Kai.
"I don't know how to fight alone. Is it okay, if we stay together?" Questioned Anders making Kai nod.
"Yes, perhaps we can team up with Rollan. He's more of a fighter than I am," Confessed Kai, then grabbed the Spaniard by his shoulder. "Is it okay, that we stick closer to you?"
"Si, claro," Responded Rollan, then looked at Anders, which seemed worried. "Hey, you still want to make your father proud?" Asked the raven-haired man making the brunette nod. "Great, just run into the scene and use your sword. Don't worry, if you're scared or not. Most of the times, your reaction due to fear makes you fight better,"
"Really?" Asked Anders with a smile.
"That's at least, what I heard. Don't worry, there's a truth behind it. I've been through similar situations,"
"Okay, what kind of…"
"Let's go!" Ordered Rollan running, shrieking Anders, which wasn't prepared, then he frowned and yelled running after the Spaniard, which had sliced down an ice troll in pieces. The prince noticed Rollan easily defeat the first few trolls, then he went in a different direction to see a troll coming towards his direction and he swung his sword to cut the troll his head off, then shrieked as the creature embraced him. Anders shove the troll off his body and cut him in half to see him fall down. Anders sighed in relief as he took down the first ice troll, then watched Kai, who had already gained the courage to take up the fight with the trolls, then Anders moved across Kai to fight the trolls from the other side.
"That's it, amigo!" Complimented Rollan shoving one troll with his shield against another one, then eliminated the two with one hit of the sword.
By the Snow Queen, Irma stood by her listening to her instructions, then along with her began to close the hole slowly watching another breeze of magic come out to fly towards the broken pieces of the ice trolls to rebuild them again, so they could follow their enemy team.
"What will be about the Snow King? Shouldn't we defeat him as well?" Questioned Irma watching the crew busy with the other trolls.
"It's a little risky at the moment," Commented the Snow Queen watching Irma observe Arrog get attacked by three ice trolls, then Orm jumped at one ice troll to pull him off his King, which aggressively smashed both ice trolls towards the ground and watched another ice troll come towards his direction and Arrog raced towards him, grabbing the troll and threw himself with the troll on the ground, causing the ice troll to fall into pieces.
"We are always taking risks in these fights. We just need to try," Commented the brunette girl making the Snow Queen nod and change ideas.
"Okay, we open the hole slowly. When it's huge enough for the Snow King, we shot our ice," Explained the Snow Queen making Irma nod and prepare herself along with the queen to work on their hole.
By the men, Rollan had moved his sword against an ice troll, which dodged it watching the sword get stuck on the ground.
"Al diablo!" Complained Rollan, then saw the troll grab Rollan by his arms swinging his arm back aiming with his fist to hit Rollan. Anders raced with his sword passing it through the body of the troll causing him to lose its legs, making Rollan smirk and head bump the ice troll with his head, getting slightly dizzy from it. Anders met up with the Spaniard to see if he was alright. "Good job," Complimented Rollan making Anders smile, then watched Rollan push the sword off the ice and look along with Anders at the upcoming troll in their direction.
Rollan had an idea, then whispered into Anders' ear, which chuckled at the Spaniard's idea, then both raced together towards the ice troll and Rollan held out his sword keeping it aside to the prince, while the troll still came in their direction. Rollan went down on his knees to slide towards the troll, which jumped above Rollan and Anders took his sword out from his back shrieking the troll, which had no idea Anders had one as well and got destroyed by the teen. Anders gave Rollan a thumb up, which smiled at the kid, then saw Kai had destroyed one troll and ran off from two trolls, which had passed over the destroyed one. One of the two picked up a broken piece to throw it at Kai, causing him to fall down. Rollan gasped and run towards the trolls, then jumped against the trolls blocking them with his shield, and destroyed the first troll with his sword and the second one, he shove with the shield against the ground to hit him with the sword as well, breaking him in two halves. Rollan looked back at Kai, which was on the ground looking back at the Spaniard, which helped him out. Rollan held out his hand to help his friend up, then Kai pressed Rollan's hand tightly to thank him as a closer relative.
"Thank you, brother," Said Kai making Rollan smile proud by being accepted by his brother-in-law. Anders came between the two and pointed at the Snow Queen and Irma, that were making the hole larger.
"Wasn't the plan to keep the hole short?" Questioned Anders watching Kai shrug his shoulders.
"I think there would be a plan B or anything else for that Snow King. I think he's very big," Commented Kai making Rollan nod and ran further to the girls. The two trolls, that had been broken by Rollan had built themselves up again by Snow King's magic, making Kai drop his chin, then look back along with Anders to see the previous ones were building themselves up again, then Kai ordered Anders to follow him getting away from Rollan.
"Need a hand?" Asked Rollan reaching his fiancé to stab one troll through the ice-made stomach watching him fall down, then Rollan was packed behind the neck by the one ice-troll, while the other grabbed Rollan's hand to try to remove the sword.
Gerda shrieked as she looked at Rollan being held by the two trolls, then transformed into her dragon form and flew against the three to take Rollan out of there, grabbing both trolls with her tail and smash them on the ground surprising Rollan at that ability. Gerda placed Rollan down on the ground, then embraced him from behind giving him a little kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you for standing up for Kai," Said Gerda, then flew towards the ice trolls with her sword she had picked up from the ground again to take down the trolls, while Alfida expertly used both sword and gun to take down the trolls.
Rollan picked up his sword, then looked back at Anders and Kai fighting together to keep the trolls off them. Anders now began to try his power on the ice trolls, managing to move them around in the air and throw against two more trolls causing them to get broken.
Arrog and his soldiers stood around the outside of the seal preventing the ice trolls to attack the Snow Queen or Irma, which were working on enlarging the opening of the seal. The ground under them began to shake, shrieking the trolls along with Arrog, which looked back at the duo on the seal, which had stopped with their doings.
"Soldiers, let's get deeper into the fight. I think it's about to get serious now," Warned Arrog running further away from the seal along with his soldiers to keep up the fight.
"Get ready!" Shouted the Snow Queen making Irma nod and hold out her hands as well to see a large creature head up quickly up at the surface, making Irma widen her eyes in shock and fall down on her back in panic. "Irma, not now," Asked the Snow Queen see the creature get closer and the Snow Queen began to use her power to begin to freeze the creature from above its head, which shoot out fiercely blowing the troll soldiers along with their king away, while the Snow Queen slid on her heels away, still keeping the posture from using her power against the bad guy.
By the younger humans, Kai gasped as he saw the large octopus-like spirit raise from the seal and Rollan stopped along with Anders to look at the situation.
"Gerda!" Called Kai watching Gerda stopping above the trio and wide her eyes as well upon noticing the Snow King.
"That's the Snow King?" Asked Gerda making Kai nod.
"I assume," Kai answered, then Orm smashed an ice troll against the ground, followed by a piece of ice flying against Rollan's head making him shake his head confused, and watch Orm look up at the Snow King.
"So that's the Snow King?" Asked Orm watching Kai nod. "And whose reflection is he supposed to be now?"
"Oh right, that one time you lied to the entire kingdom you spoke about someone that called himself the Snow King had cursed your reflection or something,"
"I don't know, what it was. I remember praying at the lake Gao and promising it to stop lying. When things started to get worse in my life, he suddenly began to appear in all the mirrors in my house and convince me to lie again. I have never met him before in my time as Snow Queen's slave. I didn't even know he existed until he took my form,"
"So this must be his real form I guess?" Questioned Gerda making Orm nod.
"I assume,"
"The Snow Queen told a few facts about him, but never described how he looked like,"
"Here we have it. He's a big octopus thing," Commented Kai making Rollan nod.
"My mom used to make good octopus with potatoes," Commented Rollan making Kai and Orm look at him disgusted. "What? It's delicious,"
"I'm pretty sure, Snow King isn't eatable," Commented Gerda, then Anders began to run towards the scenario making Rollan widen his eyes and whistle at the boy.
"Oy! Where are you going?" Asked the Spaniard loud.
"Seeing how I can help," Said Anders and continued, then Rollan looked up at Gerda, which mirrored his expression.
"What shall we do?" Asked Rollan and Gerda looked at the seal to see Snow Queen trying to freeze the Snow King by herself, which kept raising up.
"Wait, where's Irma?" Asked Kai and Orm pointed at the ground, where the girl sat and Anders was on his way towards the girl.
"She should be helping the Snow Queen, but I think she got scared," Commented Orm, then Gerda looked at the others and pointed at the other ice trolls.
"I'm going to help Irma. The rest of you, take care of the trolls," Ordered Gerda making the group nod and leave except for Rollan, which looked back at Gerda, then lifted up his hand for her.
"Be careful, mi amor," Said Rollan watching Gerda sink down and lean her forehead on his.
"Si," Gerda responded, then flew towards the seal to see Irma had gotten to look up at the Snow King in fear, then heard someone call her name and she looked back to see Prince Anders come towards her direction and stop near the seal.
"Don't let the fear take over you. You can do it," Anders cheered, then Irma got off the seal to meet up with the same-aged boy.
"I don't know. He's so big," Commented Irma and Anders placed his hands on Irma's arms.
"Size doesn't matter. You're very powerful. You can defeat him too. I believe in you," Stated Anders, then noticed Gerda appear above the two and land beside Irma.
"And so do I," Added Gerda picking her up in bridal style. "Come, I have a better idea for you to use your powers. Keep using them and I hold you up," Offered Gerda. "You're not going to be alone up there,"
"I'm down here to help too," Promised Anders making Irma nod, then Gerda smiled and took off in the air with the girl in her arms, then got a little farther away from the beast to find a better way to aim at him.
"Okay, now use your ice power!" Commanded Gerda watching Irma blast towards the Snow King a long ray of ice trying to help the Snow Queen to freeze the creature.
The Snow Queen, which was down on the seal watched Gerda help the girl, then looked up at the small hump beside the seal and made her way up there, while focusing at the same time using her powers against the Snow King, which began to yell, unable to defend himself with his own powers against the two magicians.
Rollan on the ground had destroyed two more ice trolls and looked up at the sky to see the Snow King begin to freeze, making Rollan smile as the plan seemed to be working. Rollan watched the troll soldiers around the front of the ice locomotive fight the ice trolls, then Rollan had an idea and ran towards the vehicle leaving Kai and Orm back. The troll looked back to see Orm race towards his species, then noticed the Snow King was close to be eliminated.
"Keep fighting Kai. I think the girls are almost done," Warned Orm watching Kai get hit on his face, making Orm frown and sting the ice troll through the belly. "Leave my friend out of this!" Ordered the troll, afterward kicked the second troll with his feet and the third one was hit again by Orm's sword, which he swung away from himself again.
Rollan reached the locomotive, then saw King Arrog smack the ice troll against the locomotive watching the creature get destroyed, then Rollan pointed at the vehicle.
"I'm gonna use the locomotive to destroy the Snow King," Warned Rollan entering the vehicle, followed by Arrog glimpsing into it.
"You sure about that?"
"It's worth a try," Mentioned Rollan making Arrog nod, which looked back at the rope, that had the sled attached to the locomotive.
"Alright, wait a second. I need to untie the sled off the vehicle," Warned Arrog heading to the back of the locomotive.
By the seal, the octopus-like creature was disappearing into the amount of ice built by the two women and it began to stop raising, afterward the girls watched the creature fall, making them stop using the power.
"Anders! Watch out for the ice!" Warned Gerda watching Anders use his hands to hold up the Snow King from falling, but he shrieked as it was too heavy for his weight.
"Arrrghhh!" Growled the teen trying his best to hold back the Snow King to fall into the lake.
"Gerda, we need to help him," Warned Irma, then Gerda flew down and heard the locomotive honk, earning the attention of the girls, which spotted Rollan standing inside of it and Arrog stood on the side of the vehicle looking at the front to see their path better. Gerda watched the duo heading to the seal, where the Snow King was being levitated forcefully by the prince and Gerda had an idea, then flew down at Anders pointing at the side, telling him to move it aside.
"I try!" Warned Anders, then Gerda flew to the side of the frozen villain, then tried to push him from the air to help Anders out. The Snow Queen began to create a snow pile near the seal, where Gerda and Anders tried to move the Snow King, afterward Irma joined from the other side to help the woman out watching the prince drop the ice above the snow pillow, making a small little crack under the area. Rollan and Arrog came with their locomotive heading towards the ice ball, followed by the king whistling to call the attention of the women, which ran off, except for Gerda, which flew against the locomotive watching Arrog grab the rope he had around his waist, then pointed at Rollan making Gerda nod and fly past Arrog grabbing him by his arm to pull him out of there, followed by Rollan, which flew behind them and Gerda took off in the air, then looked down at the locomotive smash into the Snow King breaking him in the middle, watching the left part of his body fall down and break, afterward the other part fell down as well, breaking the major part into smaller pieces. Gerda looked down at Rollan, which flew upside down trying to untie the rope off his stomach due to feeling squashed from it. Gerda grabbed Rollan by the leg, then reached the ground carefully to lie him down and have Arrog get down as well, which helped Rollan untie the rope. Gerda landed on her feet to watch the two remove the rope, then smile at each other at their safe and Gerda hugged both.
"Great job!" Complimented the blonde, then they watched the remaining ice trolls fall down in pieces after the defeat of the Snow King. Thereafter, watched his soldiers climb up on the broken pieces to smash them smaller with their swords.
"We did it," Rollan said glad, then saw Kai and Alfida come in their direction to hug Gerda, which smiled at their deed. Arrog looked at the trolls and the others near the seal celebrate as well, then looked at the Spaniard, which stared there as well and the king held out his hand at the Spaniard.
"Well done, soldier. You have earned my respect and my pardon," Announced King Arrog making Rollan smile and accept the hand of the troll king.
"Gracias, your majesty," Responded Rollan, then all walked together to gather in the middle of the area and Rollan was hit by Alfida's hand on his back, then looked at her confused, which gave him a thumb up. Gerda turned back into her human form and watched Irma ran into her direction to hug her, making Gerda smile and pet the teen's back. Kai had given Alfida a kiss on her cheek, gladly about the outgo of the fight, then approached the two magician girls to hug them as well.
"Good to know you're okay," Stated Gerda making Kai nod.
"Rollan had my back," Commented Kai getting off the arms of the older sister. "You're right. He's a keeper," Commented Kai looking at Rollan, which watched Anders come in his direction and Rollan bend down his knees a little to high-five the slightly shorter prince.
"I'm glad you two are getting along better. It's for the good of both of our families in the future," Commented Gerda making Kai nod. "Who knows, what's up next,"
