[Ghost Driver/Kamen Rider System]
"If you ever get a second chance in life for something, you've got to go all the way."
- Lance Armstrong -
*Bam!* *Bam!* *Pow!* *Pow!*
It was nightime…
Two figures were fighting within the deeper parts of a forest as the full moon's light glowed over them.
The first one was a creature of pure darkness.
They possess black skin, a muscular frame, and a heart-shaped hole in their torso. The monster has sharp purple and blue horns that form the outline of a curled heart.
This dark monster also has small blue bat-like wings on their back, gold-tipped feathered wings on their forearms, and bluish-purple fireballs under their feet, presumably assisting them in their fast movements and tying into their dark fire attacks. Their long tails appear scaly and end in a sharp, crescent-shaped blade. Lastly, they wield a scalloped, blue-bladed sword that appears blunt at first glance but can unleash powerful physical blows. Written near the golden hilt on the blade are the Japanese kanji for "hard shell".
The second fighter was a white silhouette.
But upon closer look, one could make out the figure of what appeared to be Kamen Rider Specter. This seemed to be the case since the masked warrior has a pair of horns attached to his mask and a Ghost Driver around his waist.
Watching the two beings clash from a close spot, hiding behind a nearby tree, was the sole witness to this event.
She was a girl with clear skin, golden eyes and back-length black-colored hair with faded purple tips. Her current attire is that of a white-clothed priestess. It consists of a long hood on her head, white-heeled sandals, a white dress and three gold rings on her legs.
The girl had an expression of concern on her face, crying something to the Kamen Rider as she saw him face the creature of darkness.
Suddenly, the black creature gathers aura around him before firing a powerful purple energy slash point blank at the Kamen Rider, forcefully pushing Specter away at a considerable distance.
This attack also unleashed a powerful shockwave that reached the girl in white, injuring her in the process.
"Ahhh!"
The priestess cries' of pain reached the masked fighter's ears, which ended up infuriating him as he glared at his dark enemy.
In a fit of rage, the Kamen Rider summons his Gan Gun Rod and takes aim at his foe, adjusting his weapon into its [Gun Mode]. He activates a Special Finisher of his weapon by scanning the Energy Eye Crest on its hilt with the Ghost Eyecon currently placed inside his Ghost Driver.
Following that, Kamen Rider Specter pulls and pushes the lever of his transformation belt to enhance the Gan Gun Hand's finisher. An Omega Finisher seal appears behind him before it's absorbed into the Kamen Rider's weapon.
Specter pulls the trigger of his weapon as he fires a powerful rainbow-colored stream of energy from the [Gun Mode]'s barrel.
*Bam!*
The attack hits the dark creature with full force, badly hurting the monster. The amount of power used in the Special Finisher eventually overwhelms the being of darkness and disintegrates them, but not without a cost.
*Crash!*
The Gan Gun Rod overheats and explodes apart as the amount of energy it unleashed goes out of control next.
*Boom!*
As a result, a massive blue-colored explosion ends up happening within the forest's premises and taking away a large part of its territory. The immense scale of this destruction could be seen from several kilometers outside the area the fighting was taking place.
When things eventually subsided, only a lonely person was standing in the center of the now-ruined forest, in which the explosion just took place. A Ghost Driver was strapped around his waist and he held the Specter Eyecon in his left hand.
This individual is a tall teenager. The young man has a long face and short, spiky and raised-up light black hair. He also has light skin and dark blue-colored eyes. His current attire consists of a black vest over a white shirt, dark pants, a silver bracelet on his right wrist and a green scarf tied around his neck.
The boy takes notice of his surroundings with a shocked expression, trying to make sense of how the area around him drastically changed after his duel against the creature of darkness.
The land was now in ruins, while whatever remaining trees still there were deeply scorched and burning from the explosion's combustion.
But this wasn't what was worrying the ravenette the most now…
With a desperate expression on his face, the Kamen Rider was now frantically looking around for the priestess girl, becoming deeply worried about her well-being.
But no matter where he looked, he could not find her.
Eventually, the young man has come to the worst conclusion possible: The explosion he inadvertently caused while trying to defeat the dark fiend has also caught the poor girl in it.
This horrible realization makes him fall to his knees as despair takes over him. The young man cries as the feeling of lament and anguish takes over him.
"Ahhhh!"
"That mysterious dream… Why do I keep having them again more recently?"
Within the bedroom of an average family house that could be found just anywhere, a certain girl wakes up from her slumber. This young lady also has the same physical appearance as the white priestess in the dream, giving an understanding that she was the same person in the vision.
A single teardrop fell from her right eye as the girl quickly wipes it away with her hand. She felt unexplainable sadness whenever she experienced this dream.
Sitting on her bed, she rubs her eyes and checks the time on the digital clock next to her.
'Midnight…' The teenager thinks as she checks the hour.
The girl has been asking herself the same question a lot lately, trying to make sense of the dream she just experienced…
The ravenette wanted to be able to clearly remember the events leading up to that point and understand why she keeps experiencing them.
Except dreams didn't work like that…
When you slept, you tended to accept whatever was put before you, no matter how illogical those things might seem later in the waking world. But this one had been more lifelike than your average nightmares.
Very believable for the most part.
'Probably because these weren't ordinary nightmares. But then I wonder, why do I keep getting those strange visions?'
Finding it hard to resume sleeping, the lone girl decides to stargaze the dark night sky through the balcony of her house.
"Fuhhh…"
Once she was on the balcony, the girl blew away the steam of the hot chocolate cup that she had in her hands while keeping watch of the stars.
"So pretty… Another beautiful night." The black-haired teenager softly muttered with a small smile.
"I just wish Tou-san was here…" She then spoke sadly, briefly thinking about her father.
But suddenly, the girl noticed an anomaly forming above her, within the night sky…
"W-What is that!?" She asks aloud in fear and curiosity as some sort of supernatural portal was forming up high in the sky.
It was some kind of large blue portal shaped after the drawing of an eye.
Kuoh, Japan…
A Gamma Hole suddenly manifested above Kuoh Town, Japan. This made local citizens both frightened and intrigued about this strange event.
*Flash!* *Blink!*
Suddenly, the dimensional gate releases several multi-colored spiritual orbs in a manner similar to that of a meteor shower phenomenon.
The light balls dispersed through the world as everyone in Kuoh saw this bizarre yet fascinating event, wondering how and why it was even happening there in the first place. Some of the locals also used the moment to try making their respective wishes upon the stars.
Among the spirit balls, two in particular, orange and dark blue-colored ones respectively, were heading towards the forest on the outskirts of Kuoh. Upon closer look, one could see that they were actually the Ore and Specter Ghost Eyecons, both being enveloped in mystic energy.
*Bam!* *Crash!*
With full force, the pair of Eyecons finally hit the ground, leaving a large crater on the spot they landed.
*Flash!*
Both mystical items then release a bright flash before they take the forms of Yusha and Yurei, the two brothers being unconscious and laying there in the middle of the crater their hard landing caused.
"Ugh…" Yusha groaned, frowning with his eyes closed.
From the balcony of her house, the girl managed to see that there was some visible smoke coming from the forest that exists on the outskirts of her city. She previously managed to spot two of the mysterious spheres crashing there.
Was it some kind of meteorite perhaps? The authorities will probably send someone to investigate it later.
However, just then, she suddenly notices that one of the bright orbs is heading towards her!
It was an energy sphere that released a strong pink light.
"Ahhh!" The girl cries in fear, covering her face with her eyes in a desperate attempt to protect herself.
But the worst did not come to happen as the light ball simply stopped before her, now seemingly floating in front of the black-haired teenager.
Confused, yet intrigued by this, the girl decides to touch the sphere once she realizes what was happening.
The orb's glow disappears to reveal that the girl was now in possession of the Himiko Heroic Eyecon.
"Himiko…? What is this?" The girl wonders as she reads the words present on the Eyecon, further examining the mysterious object now in her possession.
While the spirit orbs, which were actually revealed to be the essences containing the souls that could be turned into Eyecons, have dispersed through this new world, many members of the supernatural community started to feel a sudden spike of power caused by this cosmic phenomenon.
Simultaneously at Earth, Heaven, the Underworld and every other supernatural realm, the only thing that they could ask themselves was if this power release was being caused by a Sacred Gear. Was a Longinus-Class one causing this? Did some lost fourteenth one was suddenly released and has awakened? All they could affirm was that this power was very ancient and came from Kuoh Town.
There was also this strange feeling that this unknown source could somehow be eventually far more powerful than them if left unchecked…
Grigori's HQ
In one location, there was a tall man appearing to be in his twenties with an average build, black hair, golden bangs and black goatee. He was wearing a dark crimson, high-collared trench coat with two belts strapped across his waist. The man was also wearing steel gray pants and black boots.
He was in the middle of his research of Sacred Gears and such before he stopped reading. He raised his head and turned his head to the door.
The individual shrugged before going back to his research once more. However, as he read, his eyes widen to what he was sensing, causing him to drop the magazine he held.
He quickly turned his head to the window before regaining his composure.
The power he just sensed…
It appeared out of nowhere.
A power that was ancient and powerful…
"That power…" He muttered. "What is that?"
Whatever he sensed was something to reckon with. He knew that if he sensed it then the other two Biblical factions and the rest of the Supernatural Pantheons would detect it as well.
To him, it might be a possibility that it is a Longinus-class power. Not that of a dragon one, like Vali's, but something much more menacing...
A grin appeared on his lips since due to his interest in researching Sacred Gears, this will be an opportunity to find it. He gathered his belongings and placed them back where they belong before he left the room to begin his investigation of the unknown anomaly.
In the Underworld…
We now focus on a handsome and young individual, having the appearance of a man in his early 20s with shoulder-length crimson-red hair and blue-green eyes. He was wearing steel gray armor on his upper body with white pants and a shirt under the armor, with the armor having fold trimmings on the edges with four extrusions on both shoulders.
He was enjoying his tea when a beautiful woman entered the room.
She appears to be in her early twenties, with silver hair and matching eyes. Her hair, which flows all the way down to her back, features a long braid on each side with small blue bows at the ends, while the rest is let down, ending in twin braids. She was wearing a blue and white French maid outfit with long sleeves and a white maid headband over her head.
"Sirzechs-sama," the maid called out.
The said man turned his head before a smile appeared.
"Ah, Grayfia. What seems to be the matter?" He asked.
"Ajuka-sama would like to see you," she responded.
Sirzechs blinked upon hearing this. Wondering what Ajuka wants, he got up from his seat before following Grayfia.
When he followed her to the living him, there stood a young man with light blue eyes and green hair that is slicked back. He has a mysterious aura around him that gives off a devilish trait to him. This man was wearing a black cloak over him as it opened from the lower torso to the legs, revealing a type of tunic with the lower half dark green with gold trimmings.
"What brings you here, Ajuka?" The red-headed Devil asked.
"Pardon my sudden arrival, Sirzechs, but I bring news." He responded. "One of my devices detected a large power spike in Kuoh."
This made Sirzechs raise an eyebrow, curious.
"How large are we discussing?"
"A possible Longinus-class Sacred Gear."
This caught Sirzechs attention.
A Longinus-class Sacred Gear is extremely powerful when in the right hands and such with thirteen of them in existence. And the sudden power spike means that there is a powerful one in Kuoh Town of all possible places.
Could there actually be a fourteenth one?
"Should we send someone to investigate the anomaly?" The green-haired Devil asked.
"I'll contact my little sister to investigate it," Sirzechs replied. "If what you said is true then there could be a new, powerful Sacred Gear out there."
"Alright," Ajuka said before a magic circle appeared below him, transporting him somewhere else.
In Heaven…
A man with a handsome face, wreathed on both sides by long, blonde hair, and green eyes. Wearing gold and white armor with red and white clothing under the armor piece. Above his head was a golden halo.
With him was an extremely beautiful woman with long, curly blonde hair with blue eyes that seemed as deep as the ocean and flawless, pearly skin. She had a perfect, hourglass figure that would put any and all supermodels to shame.
The two were having a conversation until they both stopped talking to one another. They paused for a moment as they processed this new power they just detected.
"That was... an interesting power to feel. Don't you agree, Gabriel?" Asked the man as he turned his head towards her.
"Indeed, Michael... I have never felt anything like that before." Gabriel replied to Michael.
"Should we investigate it?" She asked him as she looked at him in question.
"Hmm... I think just keeping an eye would be beneficial. After all, one of the factions would bring up the rest of the information sooner or later. There is no need to pursue." The Archangel Michael replied to which Gabriel bowed in return, understanding the situation as they resumed their chat.
In a world where Devils, Angels and other supernatural creatures exist, most humans don't even have the minimum amount of power necessary to protect themselves from such dangerous beings.
But what if there was an event that began the evolution of humanity towards new heights? What if they actually had a unique special ability, but most of them never realized that?
Supernatural beings look down on humans for as long as history itself. Humans are always considered insignificant beings in their eyes and are used in more ways than one to satisfy these higher beings' needs.
No one would raise complaints about their demise at the hands of a supernatural deity. And with their large number, losing a thousand or million people will hardly matter.
But that will change...
Human beings are actually strong because we have the [Infinite Potential] ability to change and improve ourselves. This is where humanity will prevail and prosper as we will no longer let ourselves be oppressed by beings stronger than us.
We will turn this situation around as humanity's true power will finally rise...

Eyecon Hunters of DxD
Eye 01: Brand new world
The following morning…
"Ugh…"
Yusha moaned as he slowly opened his eyes, finally waking up a few hours after he and his brother arrived at the new world.
He was now in a forest and it was sunny.
Standing up, the boy noticed that he had been laying down inside a large crater in the center of the forest.
"Argh… Where… Am I?"
Hearing another voice, the younger Kamui turned to the other person there with him. But who he saw shocked him.
"Nii-san? Is that you?" Yusha calls.
"Yeah… It's me, Yusha." Yurei replies, finally waking up as well.
'Huh!?'
It was at this moment that Yurei became startled by the sound of his own voice.
All because it sounded a lot younger than when he died...
The older brother rubbed his neck to see if there was any damage to it, but there was no sign of injuries there.
He then stands up as well before taking a look at his younger brother, finding out that Yusha looked the same as when he saw the vision provided to them by Truth of when the younger Kamui was in a coma.
Kamui Yusha is a 17 years old Japanese boy with medium-length black hair and a pair of bright orange eyes. He has fair skin and an athletic body for his age. His current attire consists of an orange sleeveless hoodie, with a white T-shirt underneath it, a pair of jeans and red sneakers. Around his neck is a silver chain necklace that has Kamen Rider Ghost's symbol attached to it.
"Nii-san… I think you should take a look at yourself…" Yusha advises Yurei, looking startled at him.
"Right…"
Wasting no time, Yurei hurried to find something that could reflect his figure and he soon came across a spring. Approaching the water's surface, his eyes widened at the sight that greets him back.
"What the heck happened to me!?"
He was slightly taller than his little brother, by a few inches.
But instead of a 27 years old adult, Kamui Yurei was now a teenager. He appeared to be 18 Years old with an average muscular body build. The older Kamui is once again a young man with a long face and short, spiky and raised-up light black hair. He also has fair skin and dark blue-colored eyes.
His current attire consists of a black, high-collared jacket with a zipper resembling Kamen Rider Specter's symbol. Over this, he wore another jacket, this one unzipped and dark blue, with several black block designs and a gray hem on the end of each sleeve. This jacket's collar was red and pleated and folded back.
Yurei also wore two-colored pants; the legs of his pants were beige with several of what looked like buttons on the hem that appeared to attach the legs to the rest of the cloth, which is dark colored. His shoes were colored in shades of gray and black and had red straps in place of laces. Finally, he wore a wristband with a black-and-white checkerboard pattern on his left wrist, as well as a plain black ring on his left index finger and a plain white ring on his left middle finger.
"I became a freaking teenager again!?" The older brother yelled in pure disbelief.
Yusha simply chuckled lightly as he scratched the back of his head awkwardly in response to this, having no idea of what to tell his brother in order to cheer him up.
"How is this possible?" Yurei questions as he touches his right cheek with some of his fingers.
'I even used to have a scar around here, but it's gone as well!'
What was Truth thinking when they decided to give him a 'second chance' in the form of this 'gift'? Why restore his body to a younger age? Is this supposed to somehow make their quest easier?
'Give me a break… I don't want to go through puberty again…' Yurei mentally complained, rubbing his forehead in annoyance.
Once he calms himself, the Kamui brothers begin to decide their next steps.
"Yusha, do you know where we are?"
The younger boy shook his head no to answer, causing Yurei to scowl in annoyance.
The older Kamui placed his hands behind his back as he pondered his thoughts, but was soon interrupted by something vibrating within his and Yusha's pants pockets.
*Beep!* *Beep!*
"A smartphone…"
Yusha mutters once he and Yurei checked out the devices that Truth probably gave them before sending the duo to this new world.
While he gained a black-colored one with orange linings, his brother Yurei now possesses a smartphone that could transform into the Cobra Keitai, one of the [Ghost Gadgets] used by Kamen Rider Specter.
The Kamui brothers checked out their respective phones, finding out that Truth sent them a message with a set of instructions and information about items to aid them in their mission. Aside from that, the cosmic entity also gave them a credit card with a large amount of money on it, much to their shock.
Lastly, there was one last item that their white featureless benefactor decided to give them.
"A compass…? What are we supposed to do with that?" Yusha wonders as Yurei checks out the other item that Truth placed with them.
Upon closer look, the younger Rider noticed something odd with the device.
"Wait… Is this thing even working? Look at where the arrow is pointing! It's not north!" Yusha noticed, frowning in confusion.
"True enough, this compass does not point north." Yurei notices, reading the instructions that Truth left for them in regard to the special compass. "But something else actually."
"...Where does it point?" The orange-eyed boy questions.
"It points to the thing you want most in this world. According to Truth, that is."
"What?"
The duo soon realized that, unlike an ordinary compass, this special compass, the Wayfinder as it was apparently called, pointed to what the owner wanted most, rather than mere magnetic north. Although it appeared to be nothing more than a useless trinket, as the needle never pointed north, this magic compass had supernatural qualities, giving the Kamui brothers a special edge. The Wayfinder couldn't be used to navigate in a conventional sense, but it did direct the owner to whatever he or she wanted most at the moment.
The Wayfinder is a compact device, whose domed cover was made from pure lapis lazuli. The inside lid was detailed with a map of the heavens, the central shadow vane made the compass work as a sundial, and the compass disk itself was sliced from a walrus's tusk. The compass also had two Windroses. The effect of the Wayfinder was not limited to finding locations and objects, but could also indicate the user's desire towards another person, even if that person wanted him or her dead.
With the Wayfinder currently resting in Yurei's hand, the device was now pointing to a nearby bush.
Curious, the brothers decided to examine it, being shocked at what they found once they inspected that particular spot.
"Heroic Eyecons…" Yusha muttered in disbelief as the pair found out that there were some Eyecons laying there, as if waiting to be collected by them.
These were the Eyecons containing the spirits of Miyamoto Musashi(Number 01), Thomas Edison(Number 02), Robin Hood(Number 03), Isaac Newton(Number 04), Billy the Kid(Number 05), Beethoven(Number 06), Benkei(Number 07), Tutankhamun(Number 11), Nobunaga(Number 12) and Houdini(Number 13).
"What do you know… I guess this thing really works, huh?" Yurei mused as he examined the Wayfinder, being satisfied with its functionality. "I was hoping to find some Eyecons with the compass, but not this fast. Not that I'm complaining, though."
"Wow, isn't that great, Nii-san!? We already got 10 Eyecons!" Yusha celebrated. "And we didn't even need to create them like how Takeru did in Kamen Rider Ghost."
Yurei simply raised an eyebrow at this.
"You do realize we still need to literally gather 100 of them, right?" The older brother reminded him.
"Ah, come on, relax! This will be easy! I'm sure we will have the rest in no time!" Yusha assured Yurei.
"Alright. I hope so, Yusha. I really hope so..." Yurei merely sighs as the brothers decide how to share the Eyecons between them.
Yusha would be in possession of Musashi, Robin Hood, Newton, Billy the Kid, Beethoven and Benkei's Heroic Eyecons while Yurei would have the Edison, Tutankhamun, Nobunaga and Houdini ones.
"So, what now?" Yusha asks his brother.
"Let's leave this forest first and find some signs of civilization," Yurei advises. "Truth left a place for us to stay in this world. A base of operations, to say the least."
"Right. And we better not stay here in this spot any longer before someone else shows up here." Yusha comments. "It would be a pain in the ass to explain to the locals what we're even doing here."
As the Kamui brothers exited the forest, they found some special motorcycles waiting to be used by them there.
"*Gasp!* It's the Machine Ghostriker…!" Yusha comments first.
"And Machine Hoodie…" Yurei says next, equally amazed.
The Machine Ghostriker is Kamen Rider Ghost's Rider Machine. It is based on a Honda CRF250L.
The Machine Hoodie is Kamen Rider Specter's personal Rider Machine. It is based on a Honda CBR650F.
More of Truth's gifts, reserved to be used by them in the new world…
"Alright! At least we won't have to walk to reach the nearest city!" Yusha cheerfully comments, already jumping on the Machine Ghostriker and ready to ride it.
There were also gloves and biker helmets there for the brothers to wear.
"Wait, Yusha. Hold on a sec, can you even ride a bike?" Yurei quickly questions him as he walks to Machine Hoodie.
"Oh, yeah! You wouldn't know, but I also have a license." Yusha informs his brother. "I obtained it shortly after I turned 17. But I usually need it just when I have my part-time job."
"Part-time job?"
"Yeah, I recently started to work as a delivery boy. It was, you know… Right before my coma…"
"Oh."
"..."
"Good for you. Yusha. If I remember, you always used to say, when you were 6, that you wanted to ride a bike. Just like a Kamen Rider, right?" Yurei questions with a nod.
"Yeah, Nii-san." The younger boy replies, scratching the back of his head with a small smile.
"..."
"..."
An awkward silence briefly formed between them before the duo eventually decided to get on their bikes and head to the nearest town.
"R-Right… How about we just go?"
"Y-Yeah."
As they traveled, the Kamui brothers learned that their Rider Machines could adopt 'normal forms' in order to avoid unnecessary attention.
During the trip, Yurei sent brief glances at his brother, secretly lamenting that he was absent during some moments of Yusha's life.
'It's been 10 years already since we last talked, huh?' The blue-eyed ravenette pondered.
He then steeled his resolve to make sure his brother recovered from the coma.
No matter what…
*Vrooooooom!*
Eventually, the brothers came across a road sign informing them that they were about to enter Kuoh Town.
'Kuoh Town… I don't remember a single town back in our homeworld with the same name… I supposed this is one of the other differences we will find in this world.' Yusha carefully thinks as they keep heading towards said town.
It was early afternoon by the time the Kamui brothers finally reached Kuoh Town.
Parking their disguised bikes at a safe area, Yusha and Yurei decided to explore the local spots, starting with the center of the city.
"Hmm… This place doesn't look any different from the typical towns we could find anywhere in Japan and the rest of the world." Yusha notes, carefully taking a view of his surroundings like a trained hawk. "But I can't shake off the feeling that this city is hiding some sort of deep darkness… For now, it's like we're only scratching the surface of something way bigger."
"Well, you can investigate as much as you want later, Yusha. For now, we have to first find a place to settle in." Yurei reminds him, checking some information in his Cobra Keitai. "It seems that Truth has prepared a house somewhere here in this town for us to live at…"
Suddenly, the brothers heard a lot of chattering, getting their attention away from what they were doing.
The Kamuis could see that there were several high school students now walking along the streets of Kuoh, a sign that classes must have ended for the day. They also noticed how the uniforms used by the teenagers were all the same, probably from the local school close to them.
The boys' uniforms consist of a black blazer with white accents over a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, matching black pants, and brown dress shoes.
The girls' uniform consists of a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt with vertical linings, a black ribbon on the collar, a black shoulder cape and matching button-down corset, and a magenta skirt with white accents.
'High school, huh? Yeah, I certainly wouldn't like to pass through it again… There's a limit to how much drama one can endure there.' Yurei grimaced at the notion.
A part of him now secretly hopes that Truth didn't make him younger in order to also make him attend high school together with his brother.
As for Yusha, seeing the teenagers made him think about his own high school back in his homeworld's Tokyo. The sight made him miss the people he befriended there, both his fellow students and some teachers.
"C'mon, Yusha. We have other places to check." Yurei reminds him, lightly nudging him on the shoulder.
"Yeah, you're right." The younger boy replies, now sounding a bit less cheerful.
But just as the two brothers walked away from the scene, they ended up missing a certain person, who was also in possession of one of the Heroic Eyecons.
'Himiko… Just what exactly is this round thing?'
A familiar black-haired girl thought while walking as she inspected the pink Eyecon in her hands. And like the other teenagers nearby, she was also wearing the same school uniform from the high school known as Kuoh Academy.
"Hikari!"
She suddenly stops as someone calls for her. The ravenette turns around to see another girl, wearing the same uniform, approaching her.
"Oh, hey Natsuha."
The black-haired girl, now identified as Hikari, greets the other girl. She quickly places the Himiko Eyecon inside her school bag.
Natsuha is Hikari's childhood and best friend. She has a pair of purple eyes, short orange hair and an "x" hair clip accessory she wears at all times.
"What's up?" Hikari asks her classmate.
"Are you alright, Hikari?" The orange-haired girl questions, looking at her friend in concern. "You seemed to be very distracted in today's class. Did something happen?"
Hikari was briefly taken by this, but quickly regained her composure.
"A-Ah… Don't worry. It's nothing. I just didn't get enough sleep last night, Natsuha. Hehehe…" She tries to assure, chuckling nervously.
"Did you have one of those dreams…? Again?" Natsuha asks, now looking serious.
She was one of the few people aware of Hikari's strange dreams, the others being the rest of her family.
"Natsuha… It's fine, really." Hikari repeats.
"Alright, if you say so." Natsuha simply sighs, deciding to not press on the matter.
Deciding to change topics, she quickly picks Hikari's hand and starts to drag her somewhere else.
"Then how about we go to that donut we saw the other day? I have heard it's pretty popular now. Come on, Hikari!"
"W-Wait, Natsuha!"
The two girls soon reach the donut shop in question, both shocked to find a large line formed there already.
Coincidentally, Yusha was also in the same waiting line a bit ahead of them. Seeing the delicious donuts, he suddenly got the urge to try the food being sold there, with he himself having a sweet tooth.
And in front of him was another student of Kuoh Academy.
She is a petite girl with white hair and gold eyes. The front of her hair has two long bangs going past her shoulders and several loose bangs hanging over her forehead, while the back has a short bob cut. She also wears a black cat-shaped hair clip on both sides of her hair. This girl usually wears the Kuoh Academy girls' school uniform without the shoulder cape.
This is Toujou Koneko, a 1st Year student at Kuoh Academny.
The girl was quite the glutton whenever sweet things were involved, having a sweet tooth herself as well.
Behind the petite girl, Yusha was momentarily awestruck with the huge amount of donuts the girl was buying, probably to eat all by herself.
*Ka-ching!*
"Thank you for your continued patronage~!" The cashier thanked Koneko as she simply nodded to them before walking away, bags full of donuts in her hands.
"Welcome, sir! What would you like to order?" The shop's employee asked Yusha, their next customer in line.
"I would like the same thing as the girl before me!" The ravenette quickly orders, being curious to taste the same flavors as Koneko.
"Got it! Coming up right now!"
Meanwhile, outside the shop, Yurei was waiting for his brother to buy the food while resting on a bench on the opposite side of the street. He was checking the local news on his smartphone, subtly keeping track of his brother's position in the waiting line from time to time.
However, he suddenly comes to a stop when he feels someone looking at him. Frowning in confusion, the older Kamui tries looking around until he eventually finds the source.
Huh…?
It was one of the local high school girls, a long black-haired one with yellow eyes and clear skin. She was accompanied by a friend, a girl with orange-colored short hair and purple eyes.
The two of them were in the same waiting line as Yusha.
But why was the black-haired girl looking strangely at him?
Hikari was speechless as she suddenly turned to look at the opposite end of the street, finding a lone person resting on the sole bench there.
The reason?
It was because the person she was looking at was exactly like the boy she used to see in her mysterious dreams.
What the hell is going on!?
Hikari flinches as the boy eventually notices her looking strangely at him. As he stares back at her in response, the girl almost feels that his dark blue eyes are trying to look deep inside her soul.
Like a predator…
The boy's gaze felt intense, unlike that of a normal person. It was as if he saw a lot in his life already and, rather than looking at her as a girl, he was trying to measure if she was a threat(?) or not.
"Hikari, what's wrong?" Natsuha asks her friend, noticing her odd behavior.
She follows the ravenette's eyes and becomes puzzled upon noticing the strange boy Hikari is looking at.
"Do you know him?" The orange-haired girl questions with a whisper, lightly elbowing her friend.
"Uh? N-No… I have never seen him before…" Hikari explains, sounding a bit hesitant.
Natsuha raises an eyebrow at this. But she decides to not press any further.
At least not for now.
'He seems to be around our age, but I have never seen him around before here in Kuoh.' Hikari thinks as she briefly looks away from the boy to focus back on the waiting line. 'Maybe it's just a silly coincidence. Perhaps he is a transfer student?'
But when she looked back at the bench, the boy was gone.
'Huh!? Where did he go!?'
"Sorry for the wait, Nii-san!"
Yusha greets his brother, carrying two large bags of donuts with him, each in one of his hands.
The two were walking away from the donut shop, now heading towards the place Truth prepared for them.
As he watched his brother munching on the donuts, Yurei raised an eyebrow at him.
"Did you really need to buy this much?"
"Hey, in my defense, this stuff is actually pretty good!" Yusha says in defense before quickly shoving a chocolate donut at his brother. "Try this one, Nii-san!"
He accepts the offer and takes a bite of the delicacy, but Yurei soon adopts an expression of disbelief upon eating the donut.
'What the… I… I can't taste this…!' The older Kamui thinks, looking confused at the food in his hand.
He looks at his brother and turns to see Yusha genuinely enjoying the donuts, which only makes Yurei even more confused.
Was there something wrong with his own taste buds? If so, why?
But before he could ponder more about this issue, the Kamui brothers suddenly heard a loud explosion.
*Boom!*
"Ahhhh!"
They next heard people screaming in fear, everyone there running away for their lives.
Curious, both Kamuis head towards the source of this commotion, finding something out of the ordinary.
There were monsters, literally made of darkness, attacking the area. Many people have already been injured by them.
The dark beings have a humanoid body structure, pitch black skin and spherical, glowing yellow eyes. They have crooked antennae that are quite long and fall back behind their heads. They appear to be rather muscular, and the hands are very large, each one sporting five clawed fingers. The feet are long and lack digits, but they more resemble boots. The body is also lined by several faint, blue veins of color.
"Eyecons! There are Eyecons nearby!"
A deep distorted voice cries.
It's revealed to belong to the apparent leader of this group of dark monsters.
The being in question looks mainly identical to its minions. However, its different body is mostly a dark brown color, and is also lined by several faint, red veins of color instead of the blue ones that the rest possess.
These creatures are the Darklings known as Shadows.
"I can sense the Eyecons! They are somewhere nearby! Find them!" The Shadow leader cries to their subordinates as they all roar like beasts, bloodlust coming over them. "Kill anybody that gets in the way!"
Nearby, Yusha and Yurei were observing the situation while staying hidden behind a corner.
"Nii-san… Could it be…"
"Yeah, Yusha. Those must be the Darklings that Truth warned us about…!"
"We have to do something! These people here need help!"
"Right!"
The brothers then look for a secluded place, where they could freely transform into Kamen Riders without anyone accidentally seeing them do so.
[Ghost Driver!]
The two of them placed their hands around their respective waists, summoning a certain transformation belt, through the use of orange energy, making the Ghost Driver automatically strap itself to them.
The Ghost Driver is an oval-shaped device with a handle attached to it while the face is clear and light blue. But under it, one can see a grinning face that shows a singular eye. It is as if the face was supposed to be covered to look like a ghost.
'This doesn't feel like a toy. I can actually sense some mystic energy coming off from this Driver.' Yusha briefly ponders as he takes note of the new Driver in his possession.
The Kamui brothers each pull out their personal Eyecons and click on them as they both insert the circular item into their respective Ghost Drivers.
As the eyeball enters Yusha's Driver, a hoodie-shaped ghost with orange details and trimming comes out from the device and dances around the boy as he poses in a determined way, overflowing with a strong resolve to stop the monsters.
[Aye! Batchirima~! Batchirima~! Batchirima~!]
His Ghost Driver announces.
"Henshin!"
Yusha chants as he pulls the Ghost Driver's lever and then pushes it back, becoming a Kamen Rider for the first time.
Orange symbols surrounded his chest, arms, and legs while forming black armor with a blank silver face.
Then, an eye symbol appeared on his chest and the hoodie ghost landed on him as he now wears a black hoodie with orange edges while his face is orange with black eyes and has a silver horn attached to the center of the forehead.
[Kaigan! Ore! Let's Go! Kakugo! Gho-Gho-Gho-Ghost! GO! GO! GO! GO!]
This is Kamen Rider Ghost - Ore Damashii, Kamui Yusha's default Rider form.
As for Yurei, the same thing happens to him as a hoodie-shaped ghost with light blue details and trimming comes out from the device and flies around the older brother as he poses in a firm and imposing way.
[Aye! Batchirimiro~! Batchirimiro~! Batchirimiro~!]
His Ghost Driver announces.
"Henshin!"
He triggers his transformation while blue symbols appear on his body. A black armor is formed, similar to that of Ghost, except the eye symbol seems to have two horns.
[Kaigan! Specter! Ready Go! Kakugo! Doki Doki Ghost!]
A black ghost hoodie with blue edges landed on the young man and took form. Now the face is blue, with black glaring eyes, and with a mouth that gives off a hellish expression. Lastly, he also has two silver horns attached to the helmet in contrast to Kamen Rider Ghost's single one.
This is Kamen Rider Specter - Specter Damashii, Kamui Yurei's default Rider form.
"Do you know how to fight, Yusha?" Specter questions Ghost, sparing a glance at him.
"I have taken up some self-defense lessons back home, I hope they are enough for now." The black and orange Rider replies, scratching the back of his head with a light chuckle.
"Beggars can't be choosers, I guess." The older Rider snorts sardonically before sobering up. "But seriously, be careful, okay? Good luck, Yusha!"
"You too, Nii-san!"
With both of them transformed, the duo of Kamen Riders nods to each other before heading in different directions.
{Wait! Can you repeat what you just said, Koneko!?}
Koneko was currently hiding within a nearby alley as she watched the Shadows wreaking havoc.
She summoned a small crimson magic circle, from the size of the palm of her hand, and pressed it against her ear, using it in a way similar to that of a cell phone.
The white-haired loli was currently reporting the situation to her [King], Rias Gremory.
"Buchou, there are several supernatural creatures attacking everyone over here." The normally stoic girl spoke with a sense of urgency in her voice, not being fully sure about how to handle this situation.
{Can you tell me what they look like?} Her master requests.
"I have never seen anything like them before. They are monsters of pure darkness." The [Rook] replies, next listing their features.
{Monsters of… Pure darkness?}
"Aghhh!"
The white kitty suddenly heard a loud cry, coming from someone a few meters in front of her. A man was about to be attacked by one of the Shadows.
"Buchou, these monsters are attacking everyone here, indiscriminately, in broad daylight. Even people that have no knowledge of the supernatural. What am I supposed to do?" Koneko asks her boss. "Should I fight those dark monsters?"
A part of her felt that she had to immediately step in to fight those black monsters, even if it meant risking her cover by revealing her true nature, as a reincarnated Devil, to ordinary people.
{No, wait! Don't do anything rash yet, Koneko. Wait for backup to arrive.} Rias orders her servant before turning the communication spell off. {We will be coming to your position as soon as we can!}
Koneko briefly grimaced at this as she felt that they were leaving the regular humans to fend for themselves in the meantime.
But she trusted Rias' judgment. And so, she would wait for the others to arrive before the Devils of Kuoh Town fought against these strange monsters.
"No, please! No!"
The man she saw earlier pleaded for his life as Shadow pounded him against the ground.
The Shadow raised its claw and was about to slash the civilian.
*Smack!*
But suddenly, someone steps in and punches the monster away.
*Crash!*
The Darkling crashes against a nearby wall, leaving a spider crack on it, before it breaks apart and melts away.
What…?
Koneko was confused by what just happened.
But she soon comes to realize that a mysterious figure stepped in to save the unfortunate man.
It was a masked person wearing a strange black and orange outfit.
"Are you alright, sir?" Kamen Rider Ghost asked the man he just saved, offering him a helping hand.
"Ah! Thank you so much!" The man thanked him, being eternally grateful to the masked young man, as tears came over his eyes. "But who are you? Are you a superhero?"
"Something like that." The Rider chuckled as he replied with a vague answer. "Anyways, listen! Just get out here! This place is dangerous. Go find shelter somewhere else!"
"R-Right! Thank you so much!" The civilian says again before running away for his life.
What the…?
For the first time in a while, Koneko was truly dumbfounded.
She did not have any idea about what to make of this warrior, who was facing the pack of dark creatures.
But the [Rook] was able to tell that he clearly had talent.
A potential that many would want when seeking strong people…
But who was he?
There was nothing on him that Koneko could use to immediately identify this mysterious man's true allegiance.
Was he a human with a very unusual and powerful Sacred Gear? That seemed to be the case.
But who was he working for?
The Church? Or one of the other Pantheons?
*Bam!* *Pow!*
Koneko is cut off from her thoughts as she focuses back on the newcomer, who is now fighting reinforcements of the black monsters. He unveils his hood to fully reveal his helmet before gesturing for the monsters to attack him.
The air was tense with an impending clash of wills and strength.
The lone fighter's parka clung to his frame, his eyes under the mask were narrowed in determination, and his muscles tensed, ready for the storm about to be unleashed.
As the first Shadow lunged forward with a wild haymaker punch, the Kamen Rider's instincts kicked in. With a swift step to the side, Ghost avoided the attack and countered with a lightning-fast roundhouse kick to the fiend's midsection. The impact sent the attacker crashing into a pile of crates, groaning in pain before melting away.
Before the remaining Darklings could react, the lone fighter seamlessly transitioned into a defensive stance. As the second Shadow charged in, throwing a series of rapid jabs, the masked fighter employed a fluid series of blocks, parries, and evasive maneuvers. With each strike that missed its mark, the monster's frustration grew, giving the lone fighter an opening. With a sharp spinning kick, Ghost swept the demon's legs out from under them, sending the monster crashing onto the hard ground.
Two more Shadows circled, their movements calculated. The lone fighter remained poised, drawing them in. As the third monster lunged forward with a straight punch, the fighter deftly ducked under the blow, delivered a powerful knee strike to the fiend's gut, and followed up with a fierce elbow strike to the back of their head. The Darkling crumpled to the ground, incapacitated before disintegrating.
The fourth monster approached cautiously, sizing up their opponent. Quick as lightning, the Kamen Rider engaged, using a series of rapid strikes that seamlessly flowed from one to the next. Kicks, punches, and elbows found their marks with precision. The monster's attempts to retaliate were met with a flurry of counters, leaving them disoriented and struggling to keep up. With a final spinning kick, the lone fighter dispatched the fourth Shadow, leaving them sprawled against a graffiti-covered wall before the blunt trauma killed them for good.
The fifth Shadow, the largest and seemingly the most confident, charged in with a roar. The lone fighter's gaze remained unwavering, and as the monster's massive fist swung toward him, the Rider sidestepped gracefully and grabbed the extended arm, using the demon's momentum against them.
"Argh! Here we go!"
With a fierce tug, Ghost flipped the Darkling over their shoulder, sending them crashing into a nearby dumpster with a resounding thud.
*Bam!*
"Let's end this!" Ghost cries as his gaze lands upon the remaining Shadows there.
To initiate a Ghost Eyecon's finisher, the Kamen Rider must pull and push the Detonate Trigger of his Ghody Driver a second time to activate the inserted Eyecon's Move Invocation Time setting.
And so, Ghost activates his special finisher as a large orange seal, with his emblem in it, appears behind the black and orange Kamen Rider.
'Is that his magic circle?' Koneko wonders, being unfamiliar with the symbols.
[Dai Kaigan! Ore! Omega Drive!] The Ghost Driver announces as the orange seal is absorbed into Ghost's foot.
The Kamen Rider performs a flying kick that uses spiritual energy, which makes the body and mask of Ghost's form glow as it envelops him in an orange flame.
He manages to successfully hit the intended targets, managing to kill all the Shadows there in the process.
*Boom!*
Now, the area was silent save for the sound of the wind flowing around the area. The Kamen Rider stood amidst the fallen foes, chest heaving with exertion, before they melted away.
The battle had been a dance of skill, strategy, and sheer determination. As Ghost caught his breath, the fighter's gaze hardened once more, a reminder that he was now ready to defend himself and others against any challenge that might come their way.
"Alright! I did it!" Ghost celebrated his first victory against the monsters, raising his arms above him and looking completely laid back now.
'Strange…' Koneko only watched in intrigue from her spot with narrowed eyes, trying to take mental notes before later reporting her findings to her [King].
On the other end of the street, one teenage girl was running as fast as her legs could carry her.
In her arms, a little girl with an injured leg that made it difficult for her to walk.
During the sudden attack of the Darklings, Hikari was separated from Natsuha.
And amidst the commotion, the ravenette found the little girl crying for her parents.
Hikari's expression was one of fear yet her eyes were resolute in getting this child to safety. She was doing her hardest to make that happen.
But for her, as the chaos wore on, the high schooler felt her senses start to overload.
Things were so damn difficult with the Darklings' forces causing all sorts of debris, trying to crush her and the little girl. She found herself crawling out of a wrecked wall of some kind and without even realizing it, her body had moved to scoop the child up and was now on the run.
Hikari soon spotted a contingent of cops protecting and guiding civilians and made herself speed up.
"Hey!" She called out to them, getting the attention of a few of them.
The policeman that saw her instantly broke off to get to her but the Shadows suddenly came in, killing several in the process.
*Slash!* *Slash!*
"Ahhh!"
Amongst them was the leader of their group, the dark brown-colored Shadow Darkling.
Said monster spots Hikari and immediately ran towards her.
"The Eyecons! You have one of them! Give it to me!" They demand, roaring at the human girl with their deeply distorted voice.
"WAH!" Hikari screeched to a halt, spinning around and getting into a crouch, using her own body to protect the little girl in her arms.
Yet no Shadow Darkling reached her as a mysterious figure suddenly stepped in to protect her, his fists glowing with a blue aura as he was swatting all the dark monsters away.
*Pow!* *Pow!*
Hikari peeked one eye open, looking around for a moment, lifting her head up and letting out a surprised gasp.
Kamen Rider Specter had arrived to even the odds, now ready to devastate the Shadows.
"Fall back!" The Rider orders the ravenette, briefly sparing a glance at her before facing the Darklings. "Get that kid to safety!"
The little girl quietly sobbed as she looked at Specter in awe, clinging onto Hikari with all her might.
"Kasumi!" Cried out a woman's voice.
"Hikari!"
Both Hikari and Specter turned to see an older woman rushing to them, followed by Natsuha and some other civilians.
"Mommy!" The now-identified girl exclaimed and without missing a beat, Hikari handed the girl over to her mother, the pair hugging each other, both nearly crying tears of joy in their reunion.
Hikari stared at the scene and felt a swell in her chest that she couldn't quite describe but… it felt good.
Really damn good.
Natsuha abruptly bumped Hikari's shoulder with hers and the proud smile she saw on her friend made one of her own appear, blushing as she realized what she had just done.
"Thank you." Said the mother, actually making Hikari jolt a bit. "I don't know how I can repay you."
"Thank her by getting to safety." Natsuha said in her friend's stead. "C'mon, Hikari! Let's get out here!"
The other civilians all left, but Hikari remained still.
"Hikari, what's wrong?" Her friend asked.
It was then that the orange-haired girl followed her friend's gaze and found herself looking at Specter as well.
'Whoa! Who's that!?'
'He has the same device around his waist… Just like the one I saw in my dreams. Is this person that boy from earlier?' The black-haired girl questioned as she studied Specter's features, mainly fixating on his Ghost Driver.
"Hikari, c'mon! It's too dangerous to stay here!"
"Huh!?"
Natsuha pulled her friend by the wrist as they hid behind a corner, the two decided to stay behind, at a safe distance, to watch Specter fight.
"Grrr….! A Kamen Rider…!"
The Shadow Leader growls at the black and blue Kamen Rider before it summons more of its minions to surround the masked warrior.
"Fine! I will start with you first!" The monster says to Specter. "Then I will kill the girl and take her Eyecon next."
'Kamen Rider?' Hikari repeats the title in her mind. 'So that's what he is supposed to be called…'
'Girl? Could it be talking about the one that was holding the child?' Specter thinks.
He looks around and quickly spots Hiakri hiding nearby. She notices that and looks back at him.
'The Darklings are different from the Gamma. Unlike the latter, it seems that normal people can see and even interact with them. Probably because this world must have a different set of rules we all have to abide by.' Specter theorizes as he focuses on Hikari. 'And what about you? Do you actually happen to have an Eyecon?'
The two briefly exchange looks before one of the Shadows uses this moment to attack the Rider.
"Rargh!"
"Watch out!" Cries a panicked Hikari.
But as the opponent steps forward, the Kamen Rider maintains a relaxed yet alert stance. His weight shifts effortlessly from foot to foot, showcasing their ability to move with agility. The Shadow hesitates for a moment, momentarily mesmerized by the calm demeanor of their adversary.
*Bam!*
In a fraction of a second, Specter explodes into action.
His lead hand, fingers extended like a spear, transforms into a powerful instrument of precision. A Finger Jab technique is executed with blinding speed, a simple yet devastatingly effective move.
The Rider's fingers strike like lightning, targeting pressure points with uncanny accuracy. The opponent's eyes widen in shock as they are struck squarely in a vital point, sending a jolt of pain through their nervous system. The Shadow staggers back, disoriented and momentarily incapacitated.
As the first opponent recoils, Specter's awareness expands to encompass the entire environment. He seamlessly flows from one opponent to the next, exploiting openings in the monsters' defenses. With each Finger Jab, He strikes vulnerable areas—throat, solar plexus, and nerve clusters—rendering each attacker momentarily defenseless.
The movements are not forceful or aggressive, but rather an embodiment of fluidity and economy of motion. The Kamen Rider employs footwork that allows him to glide effortlessly around his opponents, positioning himself strategically to minimize the attackers' ability to corner him.
He bobs, weaves, and sidesteps with grace, almost as if dancing through the chaos.
And despite the odds, Specter maintains an air of detachment, avoiding emotional involvement in the conflict. His actions are driven purely by the principles of the art—intercepting, evading, and redirecting the attackers' energy. His blows become a symbol of adaptability and precision, a tool for neutralizing threats without unnecessary brutality.
As the last opponent crumples to the ground, defeated and dazed, the Kamen Rider stands tall amidst the fallen adversaries.
The spot once filled with tension is now still, the echoes of the confrontation fading away as the Shadows melted away and became black goo that soon dissipated.
This solitary individual has demonstrated that with the right mindset and techniques, even against overwhelming odds, one can navigate through the storm with poise, and finesse, serving as a reminder of the power of simplicity and discipline.
Only the Shadow Leader remained…
"Let's get done with this!" Specter cries to his final enemy, preparing to unleash his own Special Finisher.
"Rargh! Your Eyecons will be mine!" The dark monster roars as he charges towards the Rider.
[Dai Kaigan!]
Spiritual energy envelops the body and the mask of Specter as his form glows, coating him in a blue flame. The Rider's blue symbol shows up behind him before it's absorbed into his right leg.
"Die!" The Shadow roared.
"You first!" The masked warrior counters.
[Specter! Omega Drive!]
The Kamen Rider performs a jumping roundhouse kick, hitting the Darkling right in the chest.
*Pow!*
"Argh!"
The Shadow leader is sent flying away before he eventually explodes mid-air, causing a large explosion that gets the attention of everyone nearby. They clutched their chest in pain.
*Boom!*
In the midst of chaos and destruction, Specter emerges, his silhouette sharply defined against the backdrop of a blazing inferno. The explosion roars like a thunderclap, sending shards of debris and fiery embers soaring into the late afternoon sky. Flames dance in brilliant hues of orange and red, casting an eerie glow on the Rider's powerful frame.
This figure stands tall, exuding an aura of unwavering resolve.
His mask, adorned with a blue mystical visor, conceals his identity, not even leaving his steely gaze visible. Behind that visor, determination burns like a raging fire, matching the intensity of the explosion behind him, looking ready to confront any adversary that dares to challenge him.
Amid the swirling turmoil and the fiery spectacle of the masked fighter's pose, a young girl stands in awe, her eyes fixed on the enigmatic figure before her. Her face is illuminated by the eerie glow of the explosion, casting her features in a warm, orange hue. She's a picture of innocence and wonder amidst the chaos.
Hikari's wide, sparkling eyes, glistening with fascination, remain fixed on the Rider's imposing figure. Her lips part in amazement, and she raises a small hand to her chest, feeling the rapid beat of her heart. Strands of her hair dance in the hot winds that whip through the scene, a testament to the sheer force of the moment.
The girl's youthful features are adorned with smudges of dirt and a faint dusting of ash, a testament to the chaotic scene around her. Yet, her gaze remains unwavering, drawn inexorably to the Kamen Rider's presence. She is captivated by the aura of strength, courage, and unwavering determination that radiates from him.
"Huh?"
Specter eventually takes notice of Hikari and looks back at her.
Her small frame seems almost insignificant against the backdrop of the masked hero and the exploding chaos, but her spirit seemed to burn brightly with newfound hope and inspiration. In this surreal moment, the girl and the hero are connected by an unspoken understanding—an unbreakable bond between these two would be forged in the crucible of adversity, where innocence meets ferocity, and dreams are born in the face of danger.

Author Notes:
Thank you for reading!
If you guys have any ideas or suggestions that I could use for this story, you're free/welcome to share!
If possible, I would like all guest reviewers to identify themselves since this will make it easier for me to reply and for you all to check what I typed in response for each of you.
And please, stop asking me about updating my other stories in the Review Section!
This story is something that has been bugging me lately in my dreams. I wouldn't be able to rest in peace unless I finally managed to finish this intro.
Unlike most of the other Kamen Rider Ghost fanfics I have seen on this website, I will skip the creation of several Heroic Eyecons, simply making the Kamen Riders get their hands on them one way or another. Just like how I already did in this chapter with 10 of the original Heroic Eyecons. Sometimes I get this feeling that the Kamen Rider Ghost's x-over fanfics were abandoned because the authors struggled to come up with ideas of scenarios to create some of the Heroic Eyecons and make their protagonists get them.
But I still plan to make several others of them be created just like how it was shown in the Kamen Rider Ghost TV series. In this case, it will be my original ones and the 'canon' Toy-Exclusive ones(Like the Shakespeare and Nightingale ones).
As always with my stories, several questions that popped up in this chapter will be answered in the ones.
This chapter also served to introduce my third original character, Hikari. She will have a more important role later as the story progresses.
Since this is taking place in the DxDverse, there will probably be a harem for my two main OCs. Mostly Yusha/Ghost. As for Yurei, I'm still debating whether he will have a single pairing or not.
If you have the opportunity, please check my profile section later. I will post several requests there for possible story ideas to use in this fanfic.
By the way, is anyone reading this interested in working out a possible Yu-Gi-Oh! x DxD crossover story? The premise, in this case, would be about people using the game's cards, mainly the Extra Deck monster ones of dragons, to fight against supernatural beings.
Request Corner!
[I plan to make Hikari a female Kamen Rider that uses the Ghost Driver. Her codename will be Poltergeist. I need help to come up with what unique abilities/skills and weapons she should have. And also about how her default form should look like. Do you have any cool ideas to share with me?
I also need ideas to come up with another original Kamen Rider that uses the codename Phantom. This one has to be a guy.]
So, what do you guys think? Please give me some reviews if possible.
If you are interested, please go check my other stories.
See You Next Time
