Chapter 1
I don't fucking believe it. So much for being an atheist I guess.
I look all around me. All I see is the void. The off white glowing text in front of me the only thing seeming to exist other than me. Like the lure of an Anglerfish ready to reel me back in to the land of the living again.
I wanted non existence. Or, at least thought there was no other choice. I remember pulling the trigger, then nothing. I wonder if this is some sort of cosmic Joke.
Maybe I did survive, and this is a coma. Which…nah probably not. They were pretty powerful shotgun rounds. It should have been impossible. Hell, lucky if there was even wall left.
I sigh as I press the button. Might as well get this over with.
A ping sounds, and the menu changes. A mechanical woman's(GLaDOS)voice reads as the text pops up. "Congratulations for completing your first life. Total score, 20,000. average score in home universe, 10,000,000."
I stare laughing at the numbers...wow I sucked.
"It is based on accomplishments in life. It would have been lower but suffering, and failures also count as accomplishments."
Wow, so I accomplished basically nothing but having a shitty life. Thanks for the pity points I guess.
"You are welcome."
Should have realized you were someone, and not just a robot. "Yes, you probably should have. Someone had to build this system. Yes, my voice sounds like this, because you could not possibly understand my true voice with your puny third dimensional consciousness."
Well...Okay then.
Anyways, lets continue. What now? "You have read many similar stories, you should have some idea. You shall be reborn into another universe with the gamer system. You shall have access to your past life's memories. Cliche I know."
Hey, you said it not me. So, which world will I be reborn into? Who will I be?
"That's entirely up to you, although we do have popular choices. Due to having literally an infinite number of universes in existence, we narrow it down for the soul to choose from."
Well, that's nice of you. What are my choices?
Text pops up 'Top ten choices.'
Out of the list I choose Dragon Ball Z. Although I was tempted with the Pokemon world. The DBZ universe is just so much bigger. Hell I might end up in Pokemon later.
Why was I chosen. My points are abysmal. "Ah, well…truthfully this is your one millionth failed life. After that may failures, we take pity on a soul, and help it out in its next life. It's to keep karmic balance in the multiverse."
Well...damn. I look at the list of names for DBZ. Ah screw it. I choose Goku. Wonder how that will work with me being a girl.
I wonder how much I will fuck up this life.
"There is no way you could fuck it up worse than your other lives, and the gamer system will help you."
Gee, thanks.
"You are most welcome. Fleshy meat bag."
My vision comes into focus. I'm in a huge crater apparently. Why am I naked?
I get up and look around...there is a huge pile of viscera on the ground. Well, that's disturbing.
Well...I'm naked, covered in blood. My face is wet from crying. I was supposed to be Goku. So this pile of viscera must be Gohan. I wonder why I came in right after killing him.
'Son Amako was not truly sentient until this moment. Different children gain sentience at different points in their life. Sometimes it is accelerated through traumatic events. Your soul was asleep until this point'
Ah, how informative. 'I aim to please.' My face deadpans. Of course. What now?
'Think menu, I'm certain you can figure out the rest. You have wasted enough of your life playing video games.'
You're not a very nice person, you know that.
Menu. A menu pops up. Character sheet. Son Amako. Age 5. Well fuck, that's terrible. She killed her grandpa at 5. Kind of late to become sentient honestly. In my original life I became sentient around one or two.
Then I look at my stats. Strength-25, endurance-25, dexterity-25, intelligence-10(warning concussion), wisdom-25, perception-25, luck-5.
Well…that's not good.
I look at the pile of viscera, what should I do with this. I got it. I jump out of the crater, bend over on the edge like a dog and start shoveling dirt onto Gohan. Then I find a big shiny rock, and put it in place as his grave marker.
Satisfied I speed off towards the lake I remember being over here. As someone who hated running this is the best.
I get to the lake and jump in. It's ice cold. I take a deep breath and dive under the water. My heart stops as I see a gargantuan fish. Holy hell! It's one thing on a screen, it's another thing altogether to see it in person.
I swim as fast as I can towards shore. As soon as I make to shore I hear a ping. Checking my skills I see 'swimming level 2. Well...this is going to be fun. Meanwhile my heart is still trying to beat out of my chest.
I arrive at Gohan's house. Wow. This is adorable I love it. In my old life I never owned my own home. Gotta start somewhere I guess.
Going inside I look around. I look at myself in the mirror on the wall. Literally a mini Gine with hair down to my butt like Radditz. At least I don't have that stupid widows peak.
Ah I look adorable with my cute fluffy tail. I've always kind of wondered what having a tail would be like, I'll be sure to train it unlike Goku.
I searched through the clothes, and to my surprise I found Saiyan armor that looks like Gine's. I guess because I'm a girl. Honestly, its not that big of a surprise, I don't think they would actually send Goku to another planet without at least armor.
I put the armor in my inventory for later, and put on the classic blue outfit, but don't wear the wrist bands. Then I put some leftovers to cook on the stove. No refrigerator. This is going to be annoying
After eating I go right to bed. I fall asleep with a smile on my face thinking about how thoroughly I'm going to destroy any semblance of canon.
Ping. 'You have slept in a bed, all negative status effects healed. Concussion removed.' I mean...that wasn't really a bed, but okay I guess. All of a sudden A memory flashes before my eyes, of me banging on a circular window calling to my parents crying as they put me in the attack ball...well damn.
I wipe the tears from my eyes, eat some grilled fish and rice, and head out.
Chapter 2
It's such a beautiful day. I stare at the sun coming up over the horizon, and equip a weight set I found in my inventory. 'Complimentary training weight set, infinite weight, bound to Son Amako.'
It's an interesting, and incredibly convenient set. It's just wrist bands, but they actually control the amount of gravity you experience. I set them to ten times. Because that's what the hyperbolic time chamber used.
Six hours later.
My whole body hurts but I know it will adapt eventually, being what I am.
I drag myself off the ground, and stand up. It felt like my bones were breaking, and rebuilding over and over again. It was the most excruciating thing I had ever experienced.
Although, it doesn't hurt that much now for some reason...skills. 'Pain tolerence 30.' Ah...that explains it. Must have missed all the pings because of my screams.
I can move around now. Guess I finally adapted enough.
I start jogging into the forest to search for food. I see some fruits and decide to test out another gamer staple. Observe. Ping 'Cantaloupe. Common. Edible.'
Well. Helpful enough. Guess I have to level it higher to get more information.
I slowly climb up the tree and get a few. Although...I do find it weird that I haven't actually felt hunger since I got here.
'That's because you don't feel hunger anymore.' What? 'Don't you read?'
...Well yes, I love to read. It's just I, 'excuses excuses.' The fuck?
'Look, you have gamer's body and gamer's mind, you should already know what that means.' Okay okay, I get it. Fucking hell.
Well…guess I don't have to eat, drink, or sleep anymore. I should have expected this for not reading all the instructions. I should know this already damn it. I failed that assignment in kindergarten. Can't believe I made that mistake again.
Ah screw it. I'll just train and sleep when I get mentally tired.
After a month.
I'm making tremendous progress with all these cheats.
I also keep dreaming about the unlocked memories. I see memories of my life with grandpa Gohan as well. Instead of being an aggressive monkey child I was incredibly docile.
I lauhged at the memory of me cowering behind a tree when Gohan first found me. I wonder if it was my personality, or did this version of Goku take more after Gine than Bardock.
My name is also Niku instead of Kakarot. Maybe, I'm also a defective Saiyan like my mother. It makes me think that this is really me, instead of just some parasite possessing some poor kid. 'Duh.' Fucking hell!
I think I might wish them back now. Them and grandpa Gohan. It's probably gonna take awhile. I cant believe my dumb-ass still fell down a waterfall.
I'm really really bored now though. After a month of constant training I need to do something else. Seriously. I'm not actually Goku.
I take off into the air, and speed towards West city. I land on the outskirts, wouldn't want anyone to freak the fuck out. I take off my clothes, wrap my tail around my waist, and put my clothes back on. Then I make my way into the city
Holy hell, this place is amazing. Capsule Corp is definitely a monopoly though. Most of the buildings have a Capsule Corp logo on them. That's what I've come here for. New world, new things to learn. It's the only thing I ever really enjoyed in life. Reading, and learning. I of course got bullied constantly for it too. I never did find a job I actually liked. Because every job was basically just the same thing over, and over again.
I walk up to an officer and tug on his shirt to get his attention. "excuse me sir, but where is the public library?" "Oh what a polite little girl. Shouldn't you be in school?" "I don't think so sir, I'm only 5." "Ah, where are your parents?"
"sorry sir but I don't have any, I'm an orphan. I'm not even from West city" "oh dear that's a shame. Well in that case. In West city the public library is actually the university library. Its the biggest library in the world."
He laughs as he sees my eyes sparkling. "Hop on I'll take you there." So we hop on his bike. I'm excited, a hover bike. I've always wanted to ride one. I mean I know I just flew here. But come on, it's not my fault I'm a freaking nerd. We speed off into the air. The city is huge. I memorize the layout for later. Which I'm pretty sure is why he flew up so high.
I thank the officer, and wave as he takes off.
I make my way inside the gargantuan building. The library is adjacent to the university campus. I guess to make it easier for public library goers.
My mouth falls agape as I stare at all the books. Iv been to quite a few libraries but this is insane. This is the most books I've ever seen in one place.
I walk to the front desk. There are multiple women on duty. I choose the middle one. I get close...I can't even see over the desk. Well. I guess my grandma was tiny. Hopefully, it's just because I'm a kid.
I knock on the desk, and the woman startles and drops the book she was looking at. It bonks me on the head. I reach down, and pick it up. Then lift it up to her over the desk. She grabs it. Then gets up to look over the desk at me.
She stares at me. I'm guessing she is surprised to see someone so young in this library. I smile widely at her. She smiles back. "Thank you dear, what can I do for you today?"
"Hello. I would like to read books here, and maybe get a library card."
"Well, I can definitely help you with that, though it is surprising seeing someone so young here at this time of day. You know they have a library at the elementary school?"
"I'm new to West city. I'm also too young to go to school yet. I asked an officer for directions to the public library, and he brought me here."
"You can read as many books here as you want. Unfortunately, we will need your parents permission to get you a library card."
I look at her, and nod "Ah, well...I guess I can just read here." She looks at me with what I guess is curiosity, but doesn't question any further.
She shows me how the computer search system works, and leaves me to it.
I looked for all the university level texts on the sciences in this world. It took a few months to get through them all. But my reading comprehension, and observation leveled up at a steady pace. Making me able to read, and learn the subject matter exponentially faster.
It's not completely different, but still different enough that it's interesting to learn about. It is super advanced stuff as well. I was a nerd in my past life, but this brain is on a different level.
I can't tell if Goku was always this scary intelligent, and his brain damage crippled him. Or is it the gamer system. Although. Goku was a genius when it came to fighting. Maybe it was Saiyan instinct. I certainly don't feel it. I guess my docile human mind overrides it. Or, maybe it's gamer's mind.
A few months later.
I had to force myself not to go after the fiction. That's one of the traps I fell into in my last life.
As I head out the door to go home, the librarian. The first one I talked to called me over. "Amako dear, can I talk to you for a second." So I walk up to her and nod my head.
"I've noticed...the level of books you have been reading for awhile now. I was wondering...if you can actually understand them."
I stare at her debating whether to tell her or not. "Well, at first I didn't but I eventually got it."
Her eyes opened wide with what is most likely surprise."Oh my, and may I ask how old you are?" "Well, I'm still five."
Her eyes got even wider. Mouthing five to herself in apparent shock. "Well that is...wow, only five."
I nod my head in confirmation. I guess this would come up eventually, being around civilization I would eventually get found out.
"What do your parents do?" I stare at her. "They're both dead. They were soldiers. They died in the line of duty while saving my life."
Her face falls. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to be insensitive!"
"It's okay, there was no way you could have known. I never told you. I've been coming here for months, of course you would get curious."
"No it is my fault. I remember that you purposely avoided talking about your parents, my curiosity just got too strong. I'm sorry"
I look at her smiling. "It's okay, I forgive you."
She smiles back. "Oh Amako, you're such a kind girl you know."
Her smile drops. "So...you're an orphan?"
Crap. "Well...yes. But it doesn't matter. I'm more than capable of taking care of myself." I insist, but I don't think she buys it.
She deadpans at me. I nervously laugh.
"Well...anyways, I should get going. It's going to get dark soon." I say as a rush out the door. Hearing her yell "wait a minute" in the background.
I make my way back home.
Chapter 3
It's been about sixth months since I've came to in this world. I'm six now. So there's that.
I'm at a hundred times earth's gravity now. Which. Honestly. My training has mostly consisted of just trying to live under the increased gravity.
All I've really done is just read all the stuff I can since I'm not really the type to train except for the occasional push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and running. Even though I have this amazing body, it didn't stop me from being a couch potato.
If I recall correctly, It doesn't really matter. The more docile the Saiyan, the easier it is for them to become a super Saiyan. I love my tail though. I'm gonna be pissed off if I lose it. I mean, I train it and brush it regularly.
The librarian has tried to bring up the whole orphan thing multiple times, but I just avoid her. Which is funny when she thinks she has me cornered and I just float up to the ceiling where she can't find me. Her face is priceless.
Of course, I've actually been pretty much living at the library since day one. I just leave out the door at night to keep up appearances, and sneak back in later. It's much nicer than my little hut. For some reason they don't have security cameras up either.
I think I've just about reached the end of my stay in the library though. I've pretty much learned all I can. If I stay any longer I might end up in an orphanage.
I don't want to accidentally hurt anyone if they corner me.
About a month later.
It's early morning at my hut. Just finishing my morning stretches, and exercises, I take off into the air. Heading towards the lookout.
Of course since I can fly, I just go right on up. Hah. No getting thrown out of a tower for me.
I land on the lookout, and spot Mr. Popo. I walk up to him as he is sitting on a large carpet drinking tea and wave hello. He smiles, and waves back.
"Hello Son Amako." Well, That's slightly surprising. "How do you know who I am?"
"Well silly, did you really think you could gain as much power as you have without drawing notice?"
"Ah...that makes sense." I say rubbing my head, and chuckling sheepishly. "I wasn't really trying that hard to gain power since I have quite a lot of time before the bad stuff happens."
His smile falls."what do you mean?" "Oh yeah, this world is crazy. All kinds of bad stuff happens in the future. I came to talk to Kami about it, and maybe get some actual training in martial arts. Right now I'm just all raw power, and no technique."
He calls to Kami, then he pours me and Kami a cup of tea. We take a seat on the carpet. I take a drink. It's...the best damn tea I've ever had. He chuckles as I down it, and immediately hold my cup out for more. I thank him as he pours me another glass. This time I just sip it, looking embarrassed.
Kami looks as if he is contemplating what to say first. "Hello Son Amako, I am Kami."
I look towards him "Yes I know, Just like I know he is Mr. Popo. Also the cat's name is Korin." Kami looks surprised. I'm guessing It's cause they knew I was coming, and didn't even stop at Korin's. They have Probably been watching me pretty close for awhile.
I continue after sipping my tea again. "Yes, I know exactly who, and what you are. I'm just going to tell you the truth. I think honesty is the best policy in this situation. I'm not from this universe originally. Where I come from, this place is...fictional."
They gape at me. Probably not sensing any lies in my words. Kami asks. "What do you mean?" So I continue."I died, and was reborn here, but in my old world, this...all of it was fiction. So I know a lot about everything here. Including possible future events."
They sit there for a few minutes, absorbing what I just told them. Finally kami turns to me and asks. "what do you know of the future, what are you preparing for?"
So I tell them...I tell them everything. All the insanity that this, simple little world attracts.
They sit in silence. I finish my tea, and put the cup down. I'm not going to be rude and ask for another serving.
I look towards the horizon waiting for them to come to terms with the news, as the sun is starting to go down. I wave, and say see you tomorrow. Then I head home for the night, and sleep for the first time in weeks.
Ping. 'You have slept in a bed. All negative status effects removed.'
I get up. Do my morning training, then head back to the lookout.
As I land. Kami runs out. He looks like he has been stressing about the news all night. First thing he asks of course "Is there anything we can do."
I look towards him and smile widely. "Of course there is, that's why I decided to tell you."
He relaxes a bit. "what do you need my help with."
I ask him for training, and where his ship is for future reference. He agrees, and we get to work.
First he points at me using his magic, and gives me his gi. He sets me to actually meditating since, I've been avoiding it.
Sitting down in lotus position. I start breathing in and out. I've meditated in my past laugh. Because of course my weeb ass did. It didn't do anything for me because of course it didn't.
But now… after leveling meditation a few times. I start feeling something. I hear the ping as I suddenly start feeling something burning around me. I assume my energy sense finally leveled up.
Instead of the cliche warm feeling. It was like I was wrapped in a raging inferno. Man...I really should have learned control first this is insane.
I startle out of my meditation. Kami chuckles. "Finally noticed it have you?" I look at him surprise evident on my face. "How weren't you freaking out when you sensed me coming to the lookout?"
"Oh I did when I first sensed you, but as I watched you, I realized you meant no harm." I nod my head quickly in agreement. "How do I hide It?"
"That's simple, with practice." I deadpan at him, and he chuckles. "I can tell just by seeing your previous progress. It should take you no time at all." Yeah, but it will be boring. He laughs again. "You read my mind didn't you?"
'Well yes, your thoughts are very loud.' Ping. I look at my skills. 'Telepathy level 2.'...Neat.
I continued Training with Kami, it's way more annoying to train like this. For one meditation was incredibly boring as expected. But it was also more esoteric.
He did train me in his demon style, which is somewhat ironic. Being that I'm supposed to be Goku.
After six months of this, I finally have control over my energy. The gamer system is definitely broken. But that's to be expected of course.
Chapter 4
After leaving the lookout, I went to where Kami said his ship was to test out another cliché.
I land in front of the ship, and touch it. Then I think about putting it in my inventory. I hear a ping, and the ship disappears. Wow this is better than capsules. Of course I had been experimenting the whole time with my inventory.
I tried putting large boulders, and trees in there to try to figure out the limits. I'm happy it worked on something as complex as a spaceship. That in mind I fly towards home.
It is unfortunate that I cant find Goku's attack ball though. That could also prove useful. I don't actually know where it is exactly. I remember that Bulma's dad finds it later though.
Ping. I freeze in the air floating in place to check my menu. Well fuck. 'new quest available.' I mentally click on it. 'Find Goku's attack ball.' I stare at it surprised, and annoyed. Why haven't I gotten quests before now?
'You didn't really need them. Quests are meant to guide souls. You seemed to already have a plan from the start, and you didn't ask for help.' Well...okay then.
Honestly this is like the glasses being on your face moment. It's meant to be based on a game, my stupid ass actually forgot about quests. Wait...what about dungeons?
'Yes stupid, you also had dungeons the whole time.' ….MOTHER FUCKER!
After killing my thousandth lizard man of the day I exit the dungeon into my house and check my skills, and stats.
Name-Son Amako.
Race-Saiyan
Age-7
Level 100
Strength-100
Endurance-100
Intelligence-100
Wisdom-100
Perception-100
Charisma-10
Luck-5
cooking-5, running-100, meditation-100, energy sensing-100, flying-100, unarmed combat-100, energy manipulation-100, learning-100, telepathy-100, armed combat- 25, swimming-2, pain tolerance-100, observation-100 reading comprehension-100, demon style-100, sewing-25, creation-100.
One thing I've noticed is that stats don't level past 100. I think this is the maximum modifier the game applies to everything. Like training wheels. I guess it wasn't meant to be relied on forever. For the life of me, I can't figure out luck and charisma though.
Although my inventory, not having to bother with eating, drinking, and sleeping. Is more than enough already. It's also completely broken healing from almost anything just from sleeping. I train my ass off. Completely destroy my body. Then pass out, and wake up as good as new.
I did eventually get Goku's attack ball, and since I already had Kami's ship. I have all the known space ships on the planet at least until Radditz shows up. Although. I wonder if he will actually find the place. I'm pretty sure the Attack ball was how he did originally. I'm almost certain my inventory cuts off all signals, being a dimensional pocket.
Hmm. Guess that's a problem for future me.
I land in front of a huge castle. Finally I got a quest to come deal with the runt, and his goons. The three stooges. I honestly wouldn't have known where they were otherwise. I use my energy sense to feel exactly where he is. I sense three incredibly small signatures. I'd almost mistake them for rabbits.
Confirming that they're in there, and that there are no other signatures too close. I point two fingers at the castle. Energy begins to condense. It glows bright green, making a humming noise. I fire. I just use my energy control instead of wasting my time and saying moves out loud like an idiot.
All that's left is a crater. I didn't feel like drawing it out. They cause way more trouble than they're worth through sheer stupidity. It is pretty anti climactic though. Oh well.
I take one last look at the crater contemplating what it means that I just murdered three people in cold blood without even seeing their faces. Then I take off into the air again. Speeding off towards west city.
Chapter 5
I arrive at capsule corp and fly right into the back yard. Where there is a blue haired girl sitting by the pool, fooling around with some device. She looks about 12. I thought she would be at school today though.
I walk up to her, and she looks up. "Hey, how did you get back here kid!?" deciding to mess with her I start floating in the air, smiling widely. She freaks out, dropping the device, barely missing the pool. "What the actual heck, how are you doing that!?"
I laugh. "Lots of practice. hello Bulma Briefs, my name is Son Amako. I'm a space alien." She stares at me, I give her a minute to absorb what I said. "Nice to meet you, what do you want?"
"Well...that was not the response I expected." She laughs. "Yeah I mean, you aren't the first alien I've met. You are the most adorable one though." I blush, this is not going how I thought it would.
She chuckles at my blush. "Hey would you like to come in, and have a drink or something." "...Sure I guess."
I'm sitting at the island in the kitchen now. She goes to the fridge and looks in. "What flavor soda you want?" I think, I haven't had a soda since I got here. "Orange, please." she sits down hands me the soda, and I thank her.
I crack it open, and it hisses. Oh god I didn't realize how much I missed this. I take a sip, and it's just how I remember it. The orange tang and bubbles tickling my nose.
I've been so focused about training to survive, and learning about this world. I forgot about stuff like this. It definitely doesn't help that I don't even need to eat or drink anymore. I used to love cooking.
She smiles at me enjoying my soda. "Wow kid, you would think you've never had a soda before, but I guess you are an alien."
"Nah, I just haven't had any in a long time. Technically I don't need to eat drink or sleep." Her eyes widen. "Wow, that is surprising. What species are you?"
I laugh, and unfurl my tail. "I'm a Saiyan, but that's not really normal for Saiyans."
Her mouth goes agape. "Holy hell, is that a tail!?" Now that's the reaction I was expecting.
"Yes, again...alien. Saiyans are a species closer to apes than humans are. We even turn into giant apes during the full moon. I mean seriously you have animal people on this planet and a tail surprises you?"
She shakes her head as if to get rid of the shock and blushes. "...Right. I guess that was pretty stupid. Its just surprising seeing a tail on something that looks like a human I guess."
I nod my head. "I guess, still funny though."
After finishing our sodas she turns to me. "So what did you need?" I reply. "Well I heard Capsule Corp was the place to go for technology related matters, and I wouldn't trust this to anyone other than the ones in charge."
she replies "what is it?" "space ships, I want you to look at them and see if you can reverse engineer them." She smiles widely. "Awesome, where are they."
"I just need a really big space to put them." She stares at me."...well okay then follow me." I follow her. We walk for about 20 minutes and go through a door marked hanger.
I see that this place is big enough. I go to the middle of the room. She stares at me as I go through my inventory, and click on Kami's ship. All of a sudden his house sized ship appears out of nowhere.
She's gaping. "how did you do that? I assumed you would use a capsule or something." I laugh. "ah it's another ability exclusive to only me, as far as I can tell. A hammer space to store anything I want."
she shakes her head in what I assume is exasperation. In order to save time, I just straight up explain to her about the literal deity that interfered in my life...leaving out my past life of course. To say she was shocked to learn of deities and the afterlife...well reminded me of myself of course.
After that I move over to another empty space and take out the attack ball.
She looks at them. "Where did these come from exactly?" "Well…the attack ball is mine, and the other one is from my master. He's from the planet Namek, meanwhile my planet was destroyed by an evil space dictator."
"What!?" "Oh yeah, it's pretty nuts."
"That's the biggest understatement, I have ever heard!"
I laugh."Yeah, I know. My parents, actually sent me to earth to save my life."
My smile falls. "They died saving life."
She gets a sad look."I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault, it's that psychopath Frieza's fault."
She looks at me for a bit. "Look kid, we have more than enough room here...and honestly I've always kind of wanted a little sister."
I smile widely at her "Thank you very much!"
I turn my head towards the attack ball remembering. "Ah, speaking of siblings. I also need to find a way to disable the transmitter on my attack ball. I actually have an older brother. Unfortunately he works for Frieza."
Her eyes widen. "Why the heck would he work for the guy that blew up your planet?"
"Well technically all Saiyans did. He ruled us with an iron fist. And anyone that disobeyed was killed. In the end he decided to kill us all because he was afraid of us becoming too powerful. My brother was off planet though. So him, along with a few other Saiyans that were out on missions were spared. But he did lie to them saying a meteor destroyed our planet."
She stares at me for a long time. "I understand, I'll disable it as soon as possible. But that does suck that you probably wont see your brother again."
"Yeah it does, but it's safer this way. Maybe I can seek him out later."
She smiles at me. "I'd imagine you being an alien that can pilot a ship, you would be pretty smart, maybe you can be my assistant."
I laugh. "Everything was automatic actually. But I did basically read every non fiction book in the university library, so I can probably figure it out."
She stares at me in apparent shock. "What the heck, even I've never gone that far!"
I rub the back of my head sheepishly. "Yeah, I like to read and learn a lot actually. I also needed to learn everything I can about this world."
She chuckles. "Yeah I can tell. Anyways, let me show you to a room you can use."
I follow her as she walks out. We walk about another 20 minutes to the main living area. She stops in front of the door. "Here you go. My room is actually down the hall, and the room has its own bathroom."
I stare shocked. "Holy hell, this is a huge step up from living in a hut in the mountains!"
"Wait you lived in the mountains?" I give a sheepish chuckle. "Yeah, well technically. I also basically lived in the university library as well."
She laughed. "Wow, you sound like a university student. Well anyways." We went in, and I looked around. It has a queen size bed to which my eyes widened at upon seeing. "Wow, its been a long time since I've slept on an actual, this is going to be great!"
She chuckles patting me on the head. Dust comes off. "well, you should take a bath first, I'll get you some of my old clothes to wear"
I blush, and chuckle sheepishly. "Yeah...that's probably I good idea. I can't even remember the last time I had an actual bath."
She leaves while I head towards the bathroom.
An hour later I'm soaking in the bath with lavender bubbles. After having to shower and scrub, and rinse twice before I was clean enough not to turn the bath into a mud pit.
I drain the bath, and get out. Drying myself while walking over the sink, I see the clothes Bulma left for me.
Blue cotton shorts, a green capsule corp T-shirt, and underwear. I put them on, and throw my old clothes, and towel into the hamper.
Its a heavenly feeling not carrying around a quarry's worth of dirt for the first time in months.
I make my way towards the bed, and promptly pass out.
About 5 hours later, I sit up really fast in bed. I had been dreaming about something...I hit my fist into my palm. "Now I remember...dragon ball..crap!" I forgot that little bastards dragon ball.
I shoot out of bed, climb out the window, and speed off towards the crater. An hour later, I climb back in the window just as Bulma is coming in through the door.
She stares at me, one foot is still out the window. I chuckle sheepishly. "Morning Bulma." She deadpans at me "...Morning." I get my foot through the window. "So, where'd you go?" "Ah, well I just went to get something I forgot." "Hmm, what'd you forget?"
"Oh it was a dragon ball." "Dragon ball?" Interesting, I guess this is before she found hers. "Ah. Sorry, I guess you don't know what it is. A dragon ball is also called a wish orb." As I say that I take it out of my inventory.
I hand it to her to look at, then explain all about dragon balls. "Actually my master made them. It's something only certain Namekians are capable of making."
She's seemingly dumbfounded now, and I chuckle. "That's amazing!" She says as she stares at the ball. "Yes, yes it is. Although you shouldn't use them for anything frivolous." I put my fist to my chin in a contemplative pose. "Hmm, such as wishing for a boyfriend."
She suddenly looks at me, and her face becomes completely red, and then she throws the ball at me yelling "What do you know!" I catch it with ease, cackling.
She calms down a few minutes later. "Well anyways, can I borrow them to research?" I say sure, and hand them over. "Ah." She looks back to me. While I go into my inventory again, and take out my Saiyan armor. "I would also appreciate it if you research my armor, and try to replicate it. Please do keep it in one piece though.
It's the last memento I have of my parents." I say as I hand the armor to her. She smiles at me while grabbing it. "Of course, I think this will be a lot help especially for law enforcement."
About 6 months later, I've basically been adopted into the Briefs family. Which, I mean. They took someone like Vegeta in. I was pretty much a shoe-in.
I make my way to Bulma's signature. This time I'm wearing short overalls, and a gray Capsule Corp T. Bulma definitely loves putting that logo on everything.
We did manage to disassemble the ships for research, including the transmitter. It's still highly advanced, and basically instant interstellar communication is definitely worth replicating. But now it won't send a signal to anyone we don't want coming here anymore.
Chapter 6
I arrive in the lab, where Bulma is hard at work behind a computer screen. "How's it going?" I say as I walk up to her. Well, I managed to isolate the energy signature the dragon balls are giving off."
"That's great news." She smiles at my enthusiasm. "What is it exactly that you want to use the dragon balls for, you never did say?" "Well...actually I want use them multiple times. First I want to wish for my Grandpa to come back to life."
"Wait your grandpa?" "Ah, yeah I don't like talking about it, I accidentally killed him pretty recently. He was the one that took care of me after I landed here."
"You killed him..accidentally?" I look down, touching my finger tips together sheepishly. "Um...yeah. Remember how I said my species turn into giant apes during the full moon." Her eyes widen slightly. "...Yeah." "Well, I mean...a lot of us don't actually have control over ourselves when it happens. I accidentally crushed him."
"Oh Amako, That's horrible." She says, suddenly grabbing me up in a hug. I lean into the hug.
"Well, of course we can use the dragon balls to bring your grandpa back, what else did you want to use them for." "Well...I also want to bring my parents back, and...maybe bring my brother here since he can't use the transmitter to find me anymore."
She nods her head in understanding. "Yeah that sounds good." "Yeah, the main problem is you only get one wish, and the dragon balls take awhile to recharge."
"Yeah, its gonna take awhile then, well I'll give you the radar once I'm through with it."
I smile at her. "Thanks a lot, you're the best." She laughs."I know."
About a week later the dragon ball radar was completed and I went on my journey...it took a day to find them all. It being so early in the timeline the Red ribbon army wasn't even looking for the dragon balls yet.
Most of them I just flew in faster than anyone could see, and took them. I decided to actually take my time with two of them though.
I walk up to the flaming castle staring in awe. I've never seen so much fire in any of my lives. All of a sudden I hear a loud voice say. "Hey you, little girl, get away from there that's dangerous!"
I turn to see the largest...human? I have ever seen. Seriously, how the hell is ox king a human. He's a walking mountain. I'm not even four foot tall. If I was the old me, I would be pissing myself.
I wave hello with a large smile, hopefully showing that I'm not a thief. "How are you doing Ox king." He comes over and asks. "What are you doing here, you aren't a thief are you?" I shake my head real fast. "No sir, or...at least I've come to help you in exchange for something from your castle."
He narrows his eyes at me..I think. Hard to tell with the goggles. "Are you trying to trick me?" "No sir I swear...I'm Son Gohan's granddaughter, Son Amako."
His eyes go wide mouth agape, easier to tell this time because of the mouth. "WHAT!?" I hold up my hands saying wait a minute. "Adoptive granddaughter."
"Ah, that makes more sense." He says while belly laughing.
"So how is my old friend?" I look down."He's dead, he was killed about a year ago by a...by a monster."
He collapses and sits on the ground. "Ah, I see...So what do you need from me? Also, how can you help me?"
I look at him sadly. "Well, I'm sure you have heard the legend of the dragon balls." "What, that old myth?" "Yeah, It's all real though."
He looks at me in disbelief. "Look, I know how it sounds. But it's real, and I want to wish for my grandpa back. I even trained under Kami, The one that" created them."
He stares at me for a long time. "You..trained under...Kami?" I nod. "Fine, if you can beat me in a fight, then I will acknowledge that you're telling the truth." "Crap, look I don't want to hurt you by accident, I'm not that good at holding back yet."
He looks at me in contemplation...or maybe it's just him thinking I'm full of shit. Again hard to say with that stupid mask. "So be it...in that case. If you can put out the fire then you can have the dragon ball anyways. But, only someone of immense power can put that out."
I nod my head and start walking away, he nods his head as if to say that's what I thought. I turn to him and say."Are you going to continue standing in the blast radius?" "What?"
"What, did you think I was running away? Get the heck out of the way before you get killed."
He's taken aback, but starts following me. Once far enough away, I sense to see if there is anyone in the line of fire.
Sensing no one in front. I point my two fingers at the castle. He looks at me, probably thinking what the heck is this tiny girl going to do.
The green energy starts condensing at the end of my fingers into a marble sized ball. Unlike last time I try to control it more. A pencil thin beam shoots out. Piercing a hole through the castle. At super sonic speeds. Then a Shockwave hits.
The castle is knocked down instead of being completely destroyed, all the trees in front of me are knocked down as well, but the fire is out. Not nearly as much destruction as when Roshi used the Kamehameha.
I smile proudly. And stick my tongue out at his gawking face. "Told you so."
"How did you do that!?" "Well...training." He looks at me. "Your definitely not a human are you?" "I swish my tail at him teasingly."how'd you guess?"
Him noticing the tail goes back to gawking at me. "Yeah, you were right. I don't think I would survive fighting you. I think I'm about ready to retire, this generation is nuts."
He shakes himself out of his stupor, and clinches his fists. "Right!" and he bows to me. "I'm terribly sorry for doubting your words. You have my eternal gratitude."
I smile at him. Run up to him and hug him. Knocking him on the ground. It's like an earthquake. Literally like hugging a mountain. "It was no trouble at all. You know you're basically an uncle to me. I didn't just do it for the dragon ball you know. I could have easily just gone in and took it."
He picks me up in his hand like a puppy. Looking down at me smiling. Then he belly laughs again. "I guess you're right. That fire probably wouldn't have affected you at all." "...If you were a boy, I'd actually ask if you wanted to marry my daughter Chichi to get you into the family...I would be happy if you became my adoptive daughter, and Chichi's adoptive sister."
I smile widely at him. "I would love too." "Excellent! We should go to the village for a feast."
Still carrying me like a puppy towards the village we finally run into Chichi. Or more like she runs into us. Out of breath from running she tries to ask what was that huge explosion.
Able to deduce what she was trying to ask, the ox king speaks first. "Ah, that was little Amako here." he says while holding me up. "She is incredibly powerful from being trained by Kami, I've decide to ask her to join the family." She stares in disbelief. "...What!?" I wave at her awkwardly. "Hello, my name Is Son Amako. I hope we get along." She stares at me for a bit longer. Then passes out. Me and my new adoptive dad stare at each other. He rushes towards her. I float down to check on her. Then he picks us both up, and we head to the village to get a feast ready. She'll be fine I'm sure.
About an hour later Chichi wakes up. I hand her some water. "How are you doing?" she looks at me for awhile. I guess rebooting, realizing all of it was real. "...Fine. It was just, so surprising. Seeing a huge explosion, and being told I suddenly have a sister out of nowhere."
"Yeah I get it, things moved pretty fast. Honestly...he said if I was a boy he wanted me to marry you." Her face goes bright red. So adorable. I squee at her. She startles. "I'm sorry, you're just so adorable." She turns away bashfully holding her face in her hands.
"I hope to become friends." She recovers, and turns to me and whispers. "Me too." I forgot how shy young Chichi was. In DBZ she's like the angriest character. Hell she even scares Piccolo.
We eventually go to the feast. It's basically the most food I've seen in this world yet. At the toast the villagers cheered. They started calling me a hero, and thanking me. I just awkwardly bowed.
I went back to the castle ruins to finally dig out the dragon ball. Then I hugged the Ox King, and Chichi before leaving. Telling Ox King that I would say he said hi to master Roshi.
Arriving at Kame house. Looking at it. I kind of love it. I knock on the door and hear an old man yell. "Come in." So I walk right in...to an old bald man laughing perversely at women doing aerobics on the TV.
He hasn't even actually noticed me yet it seems. So deciding to screw with him. "Hmm, what are those women doing?" He startles hearing a little girl asking. "Nothing! They're just dancing! Who are you?!"
I laughed. "You're pretty funny mister." He rubs his head awkwardly. "Master Roshi. I'm Son Amako. Son Gohan's adoptive granddaughter. I've come to get your dragon ball to resurrect my Grandpa. He was killed a little over a year ago by a monster."
He just stares gaping at me, then he shakes his head to snap out of it. "What the heck!?"
"Yeah I know it's a lot to take in." "Well here you go." He takes it from around his neck, and hands it to me. I stare at him dumbfounded. "Really...that's it, no weird perverted stuff?"
He looks at me. "What the heck do you take me for, even I have limits!" I chuckle. "Plus I just do stuff like that for the greedy ones. Bringing back My old student is definitely a righteous cause. Just tell him to come around every now and again."
I Hug him, and thank him. Before leaving to Bulma's
Chapter 7
I finally make it back to Capsule Corp. Rushing to the lab. I walk up to her. She looks at me and smiles. "Welcome back." "Yeah that was a crazy trip. But incredibly fast compared to what it would have been like without the radar. It's amazing."
She laughs. "What do I make that isn't amazing." I chuckle. "yeah, that's true. I got all the dragon balls. You should prepare to leave. I'm certainly not going to summon Shenron in the middle of a city."
"Shenron?" "Oh yeah. It's the dragon's name. He's like the size of a skyscraper." Her eyes widen. "Yeah...give me a bit to get ready."
A half a later we head towards Mount Paozu. Me flying leading the way, and her in a jet.
We land next to the hut first. She takes one look at it and is taken aback. "When you said you lived in the mountains. I didn't know it was this bad." I chuckle. "I mean, It was OK. It was much more lonely without anyone around." She looks at me sadly.
We make our way to Gohan's Grave.
When we arrive she looks it. Realizing just how big just the Ozaru's foot is. Her eyes widen. "Wow, that's a big monkey." I laugh. "Yes, yes I am."
I take out the dragon balls, and place them in a circle. But then I go over to the grave and start digging it up. Bulma looks at me grimly realizing what I'm doing.
We gag at the smell.
That done, I go up to the dragon balls. "Come fourth Shenron!" the sky grows black as night. Lighting begins to strike, and then a light shoots out of the dragon balls. We're both taken aback. It's one thing on a TV screen. This is pretty spectacular. A gargantuan dragon coalesces out of the light.
It stares down at us. I can't help but just gape at it. This is insane. I a deep booming voice the dragon speaks. It vibrates the very ground. "Speak your wish." I shake myself out of my shock and yell up to him. "Shenron! Please bring my grandpa back to life."
Shenron's red eyes glow brightly. There is a bright light in the grave. A body forms from the light. And grandpa Gohan takes shape. He takes in a deep breath. Alive once again.
Shenron speaks again "It is done." Then he disappears in a flash. The dragon balls turn to stone, and start floating in the air. Before they can spread to the corners of the world. I jump up. To a normal human I just phased out of existence. I tap each of the stone putting them into my inventory. I land next to Bulma again.
I look at the dragon balls in my inventory, and laugh. Bulma breaking out of her stupor. I think she might need new underwear though. Asks me what's so funny. "Ah...Just checked my inventory after putting the dragon balls in there, and they actually have a countdown timer."
She laughs too. "That was the most insane thing I have ever experienced." I nod my head in agreement.
Gohan finally begins sitting up. "Ugh. My old bones." He sees me walking up to him. "Amako dear, how are you?" I start tearing up and hug him. "I'm sorry!"
Bulma smiles affectionately at us. "Oh no my dear, you did nothing wrong. That was the monster." I look at him. "But, I am the monster." He looks at me sadly. "Silly, you're not a monster. That thing was not you, that's why I never blamed you." I nod my head in his stomach.
"As far as I can tell, that monster is a tool used by the people that sent you here to probably conquer planets. It takes over. Maybe one day you will be able to take control from it."
Bulma walks up smiling. "Hello I'm Bulma Briefs. Amako has been living with me for awhile now. She basically became my sister." He laughs. "Yeah she definitely grows on people." He says smiling down fondly.
I laugh. "Yeah! I just helped Ox King too and he basically adopted me into his family. Well...he did say if I was a boy he would want me to marry his daughter. Now I can be her sister though."
Both of them shake their head exasperated.
Bulma looks at Gohan. "You're more than welcome to stay at my place as well. We have a lot of empty rooms." He thinks it over rubbing his chin. "Yes, that would be nice. Living in the mountains gets pretty boring actually."
We all laugh at that as we go to leave.
After Gohan got what he wanted to take with him, Bulma threw down the jet capsule. Gohan stared at it in amazement. "Technology sure has advanced." We all get into the jet.
Bulma looks at me getting in but shrugs. Then she gets in the pilot seat, and we take off.
I ask Gohan what the afterlife was like. I caught him up on what happened after his death. He was in awe of course. I did have to explain to him about the divine intervention, game system, and my species to say how I grew exponentially more powerful in such a short time.
A few months later Gohan has settled into the family. We even visit master Roshi regularly like he asked. Unfortunitely they go to strip clubs together pretty regularly now. Well, whatever...guess you have to take the good with the bad when it comes to family.
We visited the Ox King and Chichi. Gohan liked sparring with his old friend again. He did tell him he shouldn't go around axing people though.
I started bringing Chichi to Bulma's house. We played together...well more like trained. I started helping her actually learn stuff. She has grown to love reading(Yes, join the dark side).
I wish I could share my weights with others. But honestly they're the most broken things in this world right now. I'm at 500 times gravity, and I'm not even Goku's age when he first went on his adventure.
Several months later.
Bulma, and I are finally working on the gravity machine. We did reverse engineer the Saiyan armor already, and started distributing it to law enforcement, friends, family, the military.
Capsule Corp is now exponentially richer. Even the king wears one under his suit. I had to sit on my hands to resist pet him though. I have the original armor in my inventory.
A few months after. The dragon balls are finally ready again. So me, and Bulma head to the official dragon summoning spot again.
I summon the dragon same as last time and say my wish. "Please, bring my parents back to life." Shenron looks towards me with his big red eyes and says in his bone rattling voice. "I advise against that."
My eyes go wide. "What!? Why!?" "There is no planet for them to be resurrected on. I would advise you to wish them to this planet's weigh in station first."
Crap…my face falls. Bulma pats me on the head to comfort me. "Alright. I wish for my parents souls to come to this planet's weigh in station." Shenron's eyes glow. "It is done." I catch the balls as they fly away and put them in my inventory again.
Bulma speaks up. "It'll be okay Amako. It's just another year, it will pass in no time." I nod my head, and we leave.
Some time later I got a very convenient quest. To kill Dr. Gero.
