Adrian and Trudy stayed by Faith's side.

She didn't remember much about the attack which was probably a good thing. She was in a lot of pain sometimes but her condition steadily improved.

The other girls stayed with Dwight and Marsha.

They had all been with Faith when it happened and had spoken to the police about what they saw. The social worker was arranging counseling for them.

After four weeks Faith was allowed to go home to heal and get stronger so that she would be ready for surgery.

They all had ice cream together to celebrate Faith's return and all the girls clamored to take turns sitting beside Faith. They were all sensitive and attentive to their sister.

Trudy suggested "Tomorrow we could go to the park. It's supposed to be a nice day.'

Faith said "That would be great."

Later that night Adrian got a call from Leland.

"I've got a recording. It took a lot of us but we were working on Faith's case non stop. We found a security camera that picked up the judge meeting with someone who looked a lot like the person that the girls had described to the police."

"Well," Adrian said, "That explains his sudden "Change of Heart"

After the incident, 3 hours later Trudy was released from prison. Ethan must have been hoping that Adrian would drop the case. Adrian wasn't about to let Ethan get away with hurting his family, but he knew he had to be careful.

"We have to be careful," Leland said, "The judge can't know we suspect him. He's a dangerous man."

"I know," Adrian said.

"How are the girls," Leland asked.

"They're doing great," Adrian said, "And they've been so supportive to Faith."

"Have they asked anything about what happened," Leland asked.

"Constantally," Adrian replied, "We tell them as much as they can understand without scaring them."

"And how is Marsha?"

"She's four months along," Adrian said, "She looks like she's six months along."

"Well it's twins," Leland pointed out.

Leland paused.

"Listen," he said, "I was wondering about the Learning Through Living Program. Karen and I think it would be a great opportunity for Jennifer and the boys."

"I'll talk to Thomas about it," Adrian said

"Thank you," Leland said.

Faith came out of bed.

"Leland," Adrian said, "I have to go now."

"Okay Monk," Adrian replied, "Talk to you tomorrow."

Adrian hung up.

"Hey sweetheart," he said to Faith.

"Daddy," Faith asked, "When I have my surgery will I look normal… and see too."

Adrian paused before speaking. She would have to have many surgeries before that happened. He gathered her in his arms and then began to explain.
