In a quiet, dimly lit room filled with the scent of old books, Mary Burnett sat in her Edwardian-styled armchair, engrossed in her first edition copy of 'The Silmarillion'. The young woman's mind wandered, dreaming of the greatest author to ever live, J.R.R. Tolkien, and the power of words and the influence of Tolkien's literary creations.

Having learned of a mysterious figure named Lysander Euryale, who was rumored to be an expert in the Holy Grail War, Mary mustered the courage to seek him out. Dressed in her vintage attire, she ventured into the depths of her home city, following the whispers of Lysander's whereabouts.

As she entered a dimly lit alley, she came upon a hooded figure standing in the shadows.

"Are you Lysander?" she asked hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper.

The figure stepped forward, revealing a visage that was somehow both young and powerful, yet wise and aged.

"Indeed, I am. What brings you here, young Magus?"

"I... I wish to participate in the Holy Grail War," she replied, clutching her precious book tightly to her chest. "I believe I have a catalyst that can summon a powerful Servant."

Lysander studied her for a moment before speaking. "Very well. But know that the path you seek is filled with danger and sacrifices. Are you prepared for the trials ahead?"

Mary nodded resolutely. "Yes, I am. I want to use the power of the Holy Grail to help humanity live in harmony with nature without compromising its own progression."

A faint smile crossed Lysander's face. "A noble wish, indeed. Come, we must prepare for the summoning ritual."

Together, they made their way to a hidden underground chamber, where the air was thick with magical energy. Mary took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest, as she prepared to summon a Servant unlike any the Holy Grail War had yet seen.

As they descended into the hidden chamber, Lysander broke the silence with a necessary explanation.

"All the standard Servant classes - Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Berserker, and Assassin - have already been claimed by other Masters. Ordinarily, this would make you participation in the war impossible. However, fortunately for you, there are additional classes known as Extra Servant classes. Classes which, thanks to the nature of this grail war in particular, can also be called forth to take part in the ritual, even if they aren't necessary for it's completion."

Mary furrowed her brow, curious about the new information. "Extra Servant classes?"

"Yes," Lysander continued, "these classes include Ruler, Avenger, Alter Ego, and several others. They often possess unique characteristics and abilities, which could potentially give you an edge in the war."

Mary considered her catalyst, the first edition of The Silmarillion, and the Servant she desired to summon. Of the classes that he could qualify for, of the classes which would best suit him.

"Which Extra-Class is most powerful, in your opinion, Mr. Euryale?"

Lysander stroked his chin thoughtfully, coming to an answer in scant moments.

"Of those that you have a hope of summoning, that would be the Alter-Ego Class."

"I see... Do you think J.R.R. Tolkien could qualify as an Alter-Ego?"

Lysander Nodded.

"It is possible, especially if his essence is intertwined with a Divine Spirit or two, though that may be troublesome for one of your skill level to accomplish. The Alter-Ego class is known for representing aspects or amalgamations of multiple beings, after all. Corralling them all together inside of a single Spirit Origin is never an easy task, outside of the most exceptional of circumstances."

With renewed determination, Mary prepared for the summoning ritual. Lysander guided her through the complex incantations and instructed her to place the catalyst on a pedestal at the center of the summoning circle. As she did so, the air around them grew heavy with magical energy, causing her heart to race in anticipation.

"Focus your desire and intention on the Servant you wish to summon," Lysander advised. "And remember, the bond between Master and Servant is built on trust and understanding."

As Mary stood in the chamber, she knew the time had come to summon her Servant. Lysander looked on, his presence a reassuring reminder that she was not alone in this. Taking a deep breath, she focused her thoughts on J.R.R. Tolkien, the man whose works had resonated with her and countless others. Mary closed her eyes, her thoughts filled with the worlds Tolkien had crafted and the influence he had on countless readers. She began to chant, her voice echoing through the chamber as the summoning circle pulsed with energy.

With her catalyst, the first edition of The Silmarillion, at the center of the summoning circle, she began the ritual. Each word of the incantation held power and purpose, echoing throughout the chamber. The air crackled with magical energy as the circle pulsed with light, responding to her desire and intention.

As she reached the climax of the ritual, the chamber was suddenly filled with an overwhelming surge of power, accompanied by a blinding light. Mary shielded her eyes, her heart pounding in her chest, and when the light finally faded, she cautiously opened her eyes to see the figure that had materialized before her.

Standing tall and dignified was a man who, at first glance, appeared to be a scholar or professor from a bygone era. His eyes held a wisdom beyond his years, and around a plain chain on his neck was an even plainer golden ring that seemed to have a gravity all it's own. A ring which he quickly tucked beneath his tie, lest those gathered round find it's attractive properties irresistible.

It didn't matter that he looked different from all the photos, Mary could feel it in her very soul that she had succeeded in bringing forth the greatest writer of the modern age.

The summoning had been successful, and the Alter Ego Servant J.R.R. Tolkien now stood before Mary Burnett, ready to join her in the Holy Grail War

"I am J.R.R. Tolkien," he spoke, his voice resonating with a profound sense of authority and kindness. "As the embodiment of the worlds I have crafted, and the Divine Spirits of my own creations, I have been summoned to stand by your side. You may call me Servant Alter-Ego, or Tolkien, if you'd rather."

Mary felt a mixture of awe and relief as she looked upon her new ally. "I am Mary Burnett, your Master for the Holy Grail War. I am honored to have you by my side, Alter Ego... Tolkien... Professor..."

With a nod, the newly summoned Servant acknowledged his Master, and together, they prepared for the battles to come, their partnership forged in the shared love for the worlds they both cherished.
