That night, a Luau was being held on the beach as a Hawaiian man let out a proud scream and performed a traditional yet popular dance style called the Hawaiian Fire Dance, twirling and spinning two large sticks with flames on either end before throwing them up into the air and catching them. The tourists and locals that managed to stay on despite the threat of the Wiki-Tiki and his spirits and the warnings they left with Snookie's prior capture were left in awe of the dance as they clapped for the fire dancer performing his state's traditional custom while doing so to the beat of the other Hawaiians with him beating their bongo drums.
As the locals and tourists mingled and partied together, Sarah, her family, and her friends all showed up to join in on the fun and immediately, Ash, Sophocles, Fishlegs, their Pokemon, Meatlug, Rubble, and Barley saw the buffet laid out at a table in front of them where Manu and Little Jim are after they cooled down from their distress over Snookie's fate (before they would figure out what to do to rescue her) and immediately rushed over with Barley going after the nearby fruit stand.
"Free food, huh? Hmm, that's nice but is there a catch to such a perk?" Asha quizzed before Molly's real-estate agent, Reuben Laluna, came over and placed a Hawaiian lei around her neck.
"No catch there, babe. It's just my and Molly's way of saying 'Welcome!' and there's some entertainment to build on the buzz, too," Reuben told her before he directed her to three girls performing the Hula and showed her a pamphlet. "And, there's a short presentation of an incredible real estate opportunity, of course."
"Of course," she deadpanned rhetorically before two excited kids rushed past, bumping into her as a result. "Hey!"
"And, the kiddies themselves won't wanna miss seeing our very own Mount Pulanana desert erupt with Guava Lava ice cream," Reuben added as he stopped the kids, getting Barley, Ash, Sophocles, and Fishlegs' attention.
"Ice cream?!" the Baking Pup squealed excitedly as the quartet looked around and saw the desert Reuben was talking about before the real-estate agent halted them immediately just as they tried to bolt over to it.
"Uh-uh-uh, not yet, my friends. In case you've forgotten, before you can indulge yourself with it, it's time to limbo!"
"Wow! Did somebody say limbo?" Mallow smiled, the mention of the party game causing Ash to grin brightly.
True to form, there was even a limbo contest that followed in the festivities as Reuben started the game by going under it himself as he announced, "How low can you go?"
Not wanting to pass up on the game, Lillie, Mallow, Sarah, Sophocles, Kiawe, Lana, Asha, Ryder, and Race took turns going under the limbo stick while the rest of their friends and Sarah's family watched from the sidelines with the remaining tourists and locals. Even the Viking Teens had a go at Limbo and they were having the time of their lives as the crowd and their friends cheered for them. Then, it was Ash's turn as he whispered to the limbo girls and they lowered the limbo stick, allowing him to go down on and toddle under it on his toes and fingers, breaking the fourth wall with a cheeky wink.
"Now that's low," Reuben remarked, impressed.
"How did Ash even do that?"
"Can he really go that low or did he cheat to do that?"
"I guess that's another mystery for another time," Asha, Race, and Sarah blinked, baffled by what they saw from Ash.
Surprisingly, Rubble and the Poms looked at each other and they shared nods, winks, and bright smiles, deciding to have a go at the game themselves. As they took their places, Tot and Nano lowered the limbo stick at ground level (getting coos from the limbo girls) and rejoined Mimi and Rubble before the latter dug underground and proceeded to burrow under the stick while Tot, Nano, and Mimi followed him before he popped out on the other side and the trio joined him.
"Ta-Da!" they cheered, giving off victory puppy poses.
But, they were also joined by Axe as he decided to get in on the fun and he burrowed his way under the limbo stick and did his own victory pose, impressing everybody as they had multiple winners in the limbo game.
"Wow!" Rubble and the Poms blinked in surprise.
"That's how we do it!" Axe declared with a wink and a smile.
"Wow, now that's really low and by five pups, no less! We have five winners!" Molly cheered as the Poms, Axe, and Rubble were given five leis.
"Thank you," they smiled as Molly prepared to take a selfie with Reuben and the pups.
"Don't you just love all of this local charm present here? Smile, everyone! People love politicians who love doggies," Molly called to the crowd as she took her selfie with the five pups who laughed and chuckled.
As everybody was having the time of their lives, the heroes soon noticed a Hawaiian man singing in Hawaiian which sounded almost like a prayer with a sad undertone woven into it.
"Poor guy..."
"Anybody know what he's singing about?"
"I wonder what bee got up his boxers," Astrid, Zenna, and Snotlout put in.
"That man's Snookie's father. He's singing to the Wiki-Tiki, begging him to spare Snookie and to have his spirit be at rest with another human sacrifice if it meant him seeing his daughter again," Manu sighed sadly, holding up a picture of Snookie and looking at it, still worrying about her.
"But, have you and your people actually seen this Wiki-Tiki spirit?" Zamazenta asked, still skeptical about the evil spirit being real. "You don't have to see him to know he really exists."
"Or, to know that he's plenty angry right now," Little Jim added, placing a sympathetic hand on Manu's left shoulder while he drank from a coconut.
"But, why exactly would this so-called spirit be so angry and who is he angry at? This sounds coincidental, actually," Virizion noted, getting agreeing nods from Cobalion, Terrakion, and Keldeo who shared her and everyone else's skepticism about the Wiki-Tiki's existence.
"He's mainly angry at the mainlanders for coming here and surfing our waves, that's whom. And, maybe, he's angry at those who would spoil our beloved island for their own personal gain," Little Jim answered, throwing away his coconut and glaring at Reuben with his arms crossed.
"This isn't the first time the Wiki-Tiki has spoken and in absolute protest of what's been happening," Manu informed.
"Not the first?"
"When did it first happen?" Kiawe and Mallow questioned curiously.
"What do you mean?" Ash added, stumped.
"In 1815 on our island, long before the Alolan Royal Hierarchy was abolished by the Ultra Beast War and before King David and Queen Donna's son and daughter-in-law ascended to the throne in Alola, the Portuguese ship, El Guerrero, anchored off our shores," Manu explained as he and Little Jim looked back at a nameplate of the ship he was talking about, recalling what they had learned from the locals about the Wiki-Tiki. "The Portuguese sailors aboard it wanted to discover new lands but didn't realize that their presence on our island would upset the Tiki spirits. The moment the sailors set foot on the beach after they docked, the Wiki-Tiki became enraged by their trespassing and as a result, Mount Pulanana erupted."
"Hey, I sure didn't see any Guava Lava Ice Cream," Rubble pouted as he leaned over the volcano desert for the ice cream along with Meatlug and Barley.
"The desert could use some touch-up on that," Barley noted, unimpressed.
"An invasion is one thing, Sir Manu, but honestly, his anger over this surfing contest is highly illogical," Tsukumaro pointed out.
"He's right, you know. It sounds as though this Wiki-Tiki wants to be angry at every offense he sees as a big deal and this is taking it way too far," Doug added, his skepticism growing.
"Indeed. Mr. Manu, I hope you'll pardon me for saying this but your spirit is one hypersensitive spirit," put in Delilah to Manu.
"What a dork."
"Yeah," Piplup and his jungle siblings concurred.
"Little Jim, about the screeches and the roars earlier, did you ask the locals about them?" Sarah asked Little Jim, deciding to change the subject.
"Oh, yes, I did manage to ask the remaining locals about them after Manu and I left. Apparently, the people said that the cries sounded like they came from a very large eagle or, if possible, a deer. Whenever the bird cries alone, the skies would turn dark for a moment and thunder would clash. But, whenever the deer cries after or alone, the ground would shake and Mount Pulanana will rumble. Nobody's ever seen them as far as we know but their powers are real," Little Jim nodded.
"Thunder clashes when the bird cries? That's exactly what happened earlier today!" Lillie realized, remembering the storm that occurred earlier in the day.
"Interesting; it sounds as though like the Tapus, this eagle and deer both have a connection to nature. But, their connection must be stronger given what we've witnessed from that earlier storm," Stoutland mused thoughtfully.
"Sounds to me they could be the work of some Legendary Pokemon."
"But, which ones could be responsible for all that?" Tuffnut and Ruffnut theorized.
Ash thought back to the Legendary Birds with Moltres and its ability to restore its power by flying to volcanoes from time to time, particularly during his journey through Kalos with his childhood friend, Serena, the Luminose City Gym Leader, Clemont, and his younger sister, Bonnie, when they and one of his other Kalos friends, Trevor, encountered a Moltres on Mt. Molteau (unlike the one from Fire Island, one of the three islands in the Orange Archipelago bordering Shamouti Island during his travels to the Orange League). There, they found the Legendary Flame Pokemon restoring its power before Team Rocket barged in and caused a scuffle that led to them being attacked and nearly burned alive by the angered Legendary Bird until they were saved by his Flechinder when it evolved into a Talonflame during the fight.
He also recalled how Zapdos was able to control electricity and create storm clouds and lightning storms during his and his old friends' own encounters with the Legendary Bird of Thunder as he suggested "Well, wouldn't Moltres or Zapdos be responsible since they could be taking a vacation? Zapdos would generate lightning storms wherever it goes and Moltres would fly from volcano to volcano to restore its power and rest."
"But, it's been mostly sunny around here and I don't see any sign of Zapdos during that storm earlier," Sophocles countered. "I doubt Moltres would want to fly to Mount Pulanana during a storm if it rained like that."
"He's right there, Ash. And, people said that Moltres was to bring Spring with it, causing flowers to bloom and flourish. Right now, it's Summer," Rotom-Dex nodded.
"Zygarde, do you know anything about these strange creatures Little Jim mentioned?" Nikki questioned the Order Pokemon (while she was still in her 10% Forme).
Zygarde hummed as she told her and everyone else, "...Your Stoutland friend was correct when he mentioned that the creatures' power was because of a strong connection to nature. And, if that's the case, given that storm from earlier, their power would overshadow that of the Tapus and my own as well as Xerneas' but the only ones that are able to do such a thing are us and Yvetal."
But, the heroes were forced to cut their conversation short when Reuben got on stage and held a microphone in his hands to make an announcement to everyone while he had a projector screen to his right and an object on a stand covered by a white cloth to his left for his presentation, "Good evening, folks! I'm your host, Reuben Laluna, of Laluna Realty; Do you ever dream of having your own piece of paradise? Well, folks, that dream can be a reality. I want you all to take a moment and imagine yourself as part-owner in the soon-to-be-constructed Coconut Beach Condominiums where Laluna Realty is changing the face of Hanahuna Bay."
Suddenly, without warning, the ground began to shake and tremble as everybody looked around, wondering who was making everything tremble around them.
Ash and Sophocles yelped as they held each other in fright while Rubble shrieked as he jumped into Ryder's arms, "Zoinks!"
"EEEE!" Snowy shrieked with fear, jumping into Lillie's arms and shivering as everybody soon saw smoke rising out of Mount Pulanana which started to spook the tourists.
"People, people! No need to worry, just stay calm for a minute! Don't panic!" Rueben reassured but to no avail.
"Oh, sure, when is it good not to panic?!"
"Lame-o!" Nebby and Nebula spat at him.
"Nebby, Nebula, not now with the sass!" Sarah reprimanded her grown-up Ultra Beasts.
"Are you kiddin' me?"
"How can he be so dismissive about Mount Pulanana seemingly starting to blow somehow?" Aqua and Ching Wan snorted, frowning at Reuben.
"A very unique perspective, I must say, especially since that volcano just exhibited what could be classified in modern Muggle terms as a stage-four eruption. Would you not agree, Mr. Laluna?" Tsukumaro added, raising an eyebrow at the real estate agent who didn't have an answer as Molly stepped forward to pacify everyone.
"Reuben's right, everybody! Heh, that volcano is completely dormant, it says so in all of our island brochures," she noted.
"Then, if it's as dormant as you said, why is it about to erupt?!" Axe countered as Mount Pulanana continued to erupt when another tremble knocked nearly everybody off their feet and paws with some managing to stand firm or hold onto something to stabilize themselves.
"How thick-headed and tone-deaf can you get?!" Harmony snapped.
"Folks, you don't get that sort of thing back in Kansas. Now, this is a mountain view," Reuben piped up.
"Is he serious or is it just me?" Cadence grumbled before a spear was thrown out of the shadows, nearly missing the real estate agent as the same evil Tiki spirits that had kidnapped Snookie reappeared.
"What are those things?" Silvally gawked in disbelief at what he saw.
"Those must be those spirits that Manu mentioned grabbed Snookie and disappeared with!" Craggeon gasped.
"It's those horrible little Wiki-Tikis again!"
"They're back!"
"They've come to make us their human sacrifices for their big guy!" some of the tourists shrieked before they and the other visitors ran for their lives to get away from the creatures.
"Oh, no! Manu was right!" Lana gasped.
"Hey! Where is Manu, anyway?!" cried Zuma, not seeing Manu anywhere.
"And, Little Jim!" gasped Marshall, not seeing Little Jim amongst the frightened crowd.
"They must've gotten separated from us when these Tikis appeared and the tourists are booking it out of here!" Skye theorized.
"But, I have more slides!" Reuben protested as the tiny Tiki spirits ambushed everybody once more.
"Oh, my! Oh, dear, this is not happening! Ah! You with the video camera, turn that off!" Molly gasped in horror, seeing how things were going with the appearance of the Wiki-Tiki's servants before she turned to a teenager who was filming the whole thing and whispered to him, "I can't have the media getting wind of this, or else we'll be ruined!"
Then, she and the boy saw the tiny Tikis coming towards them before they also made a break for safety and the monsters gave chase while the rest remained at the beach to destroy everything in sight, one of them going as far as to throw a spear with its tip alight onto the roof of a nearby house. The house soon was caught in a blaze, prompting the tiny Tiki that threw its spear to do a triumphant dance, leaving Fishlegs and Rubble to scream in fear before the latter jumped into the latter's arms and the former jumped into Commander Ryan's arms.
"Hey! What are they doing?!"
"Those creeps are going to destroy the entire place if they're left alone!"
"We gotta do something!" Ash, Sophocles, and Lana cried before they, Lillie, Mallow, and Kiawe brought out their Poke-X Fury Sabers.
"Why aren't your legs running, you guys?! Let's get out of here!" Fishlegs pleaded.
"What the devil are those bastards?"
"I don't want to stick around to find out!" Ryan and Rubble shouted before the bulldog pup bolted along with Meatleg, Dratini, Fishlegs, Cookie, and Greta (the Hisuian Goodra rolling away in their shells out of fright).
"Everybody's scared stiff of those shrimps with spikes, you pipsqueaks," Eternatus scoffed, looking unimpressed at the tiny Tikis just as Sarah unsheathed Cosmic Grace.
"Well, if they're going to be causing trouble around here, they've picked the wrong people to tangle with. Now, we'll have to fight them before they turn all of Hanahuna into a living hell," the little princess decided.
"Especially since they don't look the part to scare any of us," Persian added, reading herself for a fight.
"Not very frightening given what we've been through before," agreed Sokka, readying his Razor Shell attack.
"Yeah, these bozos don't scare me a bit. Hey, you masked freaks, here!" Scorch shrugged before he fired an Ember attack, knocking a few of the tiny Tikis down.
"You read my mind, guys. Come on, let's get 'em!" Astrid grinned, taking a sword from out of nowhere and charging at the tiny Tikis with the other heroes that can fight following suit. "YAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
Race tapped his Wrist Com and transported his Bio Lion Talon into his hand from the Aether Foundation before he engaged with the tiny Tikis going after the tourists with his Pokemon (save for Tou-Tou as he remained with his brother), Athena, and Thunder joining him in evacuating them away from the beach.
"Let's go, Tou-Tou! Now, open up wide, you shrimps!"
"Yeah, let me at 'em!" Silvally and Tou-Tou roared as they used Crush Claw and Dragon Claw on the Tiki spirits while Loki and Kaulu joined them, using Metal Claw to slice them down to size with Axew and Deino using Dragon Rage and Dragon Breath to blast them when they least expected their assault.
"You creeps are starting to bug me!" snapped Jolteon as she and her sisters fought off the Tikis that tried to attack them until they unleashed their chosen special attacks that soaked, burned, shocked, sliced, froze, blasted, and flung the buggers away from them. "Oh, did we do that? Sorry!"
Doug, Tsukumaro, and Delilah along with David and Donna (former queen) found themselves surrounded by some Tiki spirits planning to attack them as well but the old advisor and his friends weren't going to take their incoming assault lying down as the former brandished his wand and the latter two pulled out two swords that had been made for them to commemorate their return akin to the swords used by Commander Lin Mae and General Shao in "The Great Wall" but with the hand wrap on Delilah's sword being violet and the colors of the blade, guard, and pommel on Doug's sword being reversed (the guard and pommel being silver and the blade gold) with the handle having an orange hand grip on it.
While Doug and Delilah fended for themselves and their parents against the spiritual monstrosities, Tsukumaro blasted a variety of combat spells on the Tikis, going so far as to blast one of them with a powerful, "Expulso!"
"RRAAAHHHH! YEAH! You Tiki boogies want a piece of me?!" Toothless barked as he and his fellow dragons plowed through, tossed away, rammed at, tail-whipped, and blasted the evil Tikis coming at them while their Viking friends and partners fought as best they could with whatever they had at hand including some new weapons made for them.
With Cookie and Greta, as they were separated from James and the rest of their family, they were chased by two Tiki spirits around two Tiki poles until they disappeared, causing them to wonder where they went as they didn't see them rolling up the poles and sitting on top of them to escape. This led them to be attacked by Arcanine and his Hisuian mate as they charged at the Tikis, frightening them as they ran, screaming.
With Fishlegs and Rubble, while their friends fought and the PAW Patrol and Cat Pack along with Ryder, Ryan, and Angel had to use their wits to outsmart the Tiki spirits chasing after them, they ran for their lives until they finally saw the ice cream that was supposed to have been flowing down the Mount Pulanana desert prior. They did want to eat it so they went back to the desert to get a few nibbles but when two of the tiny Tikis jumped them, they yelped before they ran away towards a large fruit stand to hide.
The tiny Tikis searched for the pair while Fishlegs quietly grabbed an orange but he gave himself and Rubble away as they soon jumped onto the stand and poked their spears at them and the fruit, making them yelp in pain and burst out, running away with some fruit still on their heads.
"Stop that!"
"Hey, you Tiki jerks! Nobody makes a meal out of my Fishy!" Dratini and Meatlug raged when they saw this and without mercy, they charged at the evil Tikis before the latter used Thunder to stun them and give the latter a chance to fire her lava blast at them.
As they did, however, sparks of electricity came out of them from Dratini and Meatlug's attacks, catching Sarah, Raven, Harmony, and Chase's attention as their eyes widened and they gasped in surprise; they realized that the evil Tiki servants of the Wiki-Tiki may not be all that they appeared to be.
"Rubble!" cried Ryder, seeing one of his pups being attacked before he grabbed a watermelon and threw it at one of the Tiki spirits chasing him, the contents inside stopping it and causing it to spark, also surprising the boy and making him examine it quickly. "Hmm, interesting..."
With the Pokemon School Gang, Ash, and their Pokemon, they fended off the Tiki spirits as best they could as they blocked, defended against, and attacked with their sabers while their Pokemon covered for them but as they fought, they saw the Tikis they attacked sparking wildly as well which also got them suspicious.
The rest of Sarah's family and the other heroes were doing their best to fight off the Tikis on their end, particularly with Seviper using Poison Tail and Zangoose using X-Scissor on their attacks to keep them away from each other while the Viking Twins, Barf, and Belch smashed, bashed, and used their gas and spark combo attack to send them flying.
With Race, as he continued to use his Bio Lion Talon on the evil Tikis after he and his Pokemon and Thunder managed to evacuate the frightened tourists and locals and get them to safety, Asha joined him along with Proud and Ziracon as she used her Prism Shooter in Blaster Mode to fire at them. The little princess also joined them as she slashed, thrusted at, and cut down the Tiki spirits coming her way with Angel making use of her own martial arts training as she punched, kicked, tackled, threw down, and smacked the creatures that tried to get the drop on her. Even Ryan was showing no mercy to his attackers as he brought out his patrol baton and whacked at them.
Returning to Cookie and Greta, they continued to roll away from the little terrors tailing them again before they suddenly stopped and smelled something burning from underneath them. To their bewilderment and horror, as the Hisuian Goodra looked down and looked at each other, they realized that they ended up on top of a path of hot charcoals that the Hawaiians used for an ancient tradition known as Hawaiian Fire Walking.
"...Ow, ow, ow, ow, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT-HOT! JAMES, HELP!" the pair squealed, rolling off of the charcoals before ending up in a shed while the tiny Tikis tailed them once more before they exited the shed and sealed it shut before they rushed off to find their family.
"CHARGE!" the Poms screamed as they and the Buddies charged at the Tiki spirits and rammed some of them aside to help their heroes deal with them before they caused any more trouble.
"Stop it!" shouted a female voice, the owner of it sounding tiny and soft but powerful enough to carry a certain weight to it.
Then, in a powerful gust of wind and colorful leaves, came a group of four Pokemon that halted the evil Tikis after they regrouped and went forward with one final assault that would frighten everybody away and stop the heroes with the one that spoke being at around Togepi's small size. But, it was covered in white fluffy fur, having two tiny arms, and two tiny feet that were all around a singular purple sphere located in the center of its chest. It was also glaring hard at the evil Tikis, obviously not very happy about the creatures that had the audacity to cause trouble for the tropical island paradise in the human world that it called home.
But, it wasn't alone as it was accompanied by three Pokemon that nobody had ever seen before who were also throwing harsh glares at the evil Tikis:
- The first Pokemon in front of it was a wolf-like Pokemon at around Dusk's size and height with a more ghostly appearance akin to the mythical Okuchi no Makami (Large-Mouthed True God based on the extinct Japanese gray wolf) from Japanese folklore with a turquoise body and the lower half of its legs being snowy white that had ghost-like smoke billowing from them in a non-existent wind while it had a green-blue tail mane and tail that had white shading on the tip ends
- The second Pokemon to its right was an ape-like Pokemon that stood the same height as Star, Cobalt, and Nikki's Lucario but its body had a red, grey, and white pattern and the end of its tail resembled a human's clenched fist
- The third of the bunch on its left was a majestic owl-like Pokemon akin to Noctowl but unlike the Owl Pokemon, this one stood at Silvally's overall height but it had a rather dull, deadpanned glare etched on its face (suggesting its vast years of wisdom it's carrying) and it wore what looked like a large cloak sporting a dark-brown, tan, and white color pattern
The heroes were shocked by the Pokemon's presence and even Little Jim and Manu (when they were revealed to be alive and unharmed on another part of the beach (despite Little Jim getting some bruises and knocks from the evil spirits)) could hardly believe their eyes.
They were left speechless by what they saw but Toothless, Jolteon, Meatlug, and Vaporeon voiced everybody's thoughts as they couldn't hold back their own shock, "Whoa! Who ordered the Hawaiian Elemental Creature Police Force?"
"Look at that one behind those three, it's so tiny!"
"Are you serious?!"
"Who are they?"
The ones who were the most shocked at seeing the new Pokemon were David, Donna (former queen), Doug, Delilah, and Tsukumaro as they all gasped in all at the sight of the four Pokemon (suggesting that they know something about them compared to the others and compared to the Last Alolan Royal Family and the old advisor, not even their own daughter knew about them).
Without saying another word, the tiny Pokemon floated slightly above the other three and gave off a wave of light with a wave of its arms that caused the evil Tiki spirits to shriek in fright as if they hated its light. Screeching in terror and realizing that they were no match for the new Pokemon before them, they fled back into the jungle without a hostage this time as the remaining tourists and locals who took cover and weren't scared away easily came out of their hiding places.
Reuben was distraught and frustrated after he reemerged from the table he was hiding under as he voiced his thoughts on the matter, "D'oh! Those blasted Wiki-Tikis! They're scaring everybody away!"
Even Molly tried to compose herself despite her own panic over the situation as she came over to help him up and told him while the other people rushed off, "N-Now, now, Reuben, like you said before... Uh, heh, let's not panic."
"But, people are moving out, not in! Real estate values are falling faster than a lead balloon! I'm ruined!"
"Dear me, this is a total disaster."
"Now, this puts the 'ow' in 'luau' if those Tiki creeps took it so personally," Ryan and Angel commented.
"But, on the bright side, at least we know what they are and we can be ready to put them on ice next time they attack," Everest reassured.
"Hey, guys, check it out! One of those tiny Tikis dropped something while they were running away," Ryder gasped, seeing what looked like a necklace that had puka shells on it and he went to pick it up but Manu took it in his hand as he and Little Jim reunited with the heroes.
"It's Snookie's puka shell necklace," he deducted.
"Hey! Where have you guys been?"
"Yeah, we couldn't find you two while we were being attacked!" barked Jazz and Hayden at the pair.
"Never mind that. But, still, that groovy necklace confirms those walking Hawaiian handbags of evil snagged Snookie before, right?" Liberty questioned Manu and Little Jim.
"And, what are those things, anyway?" Rocky (Mixed Breed) questioned.
"We're sorry, we didn't mean to lose you guys when those things attacked us. But, to answer your questions, yes. And, not only that, those handbags of evil are actually called 'Hohona Lohavas'; they are Tiki spirits that serve their master responsible for bringing them to life to do his bidding, the powerful Wiki-Tiki spirit," Manu apologized before he indulged in what he and Little Jim knew about the creatures.
"Those things that ravaged the beach are what we're talking about. Now, do you all believe us?" Little Jim quipped, still sore about everything that happened.
"I'm not convinced by a long shot, fellas. Besides, if they really are from this Weirdo Tiki guy, wouldn't they attack us with more than just tiny axes, spears, and bludgeons?" Hiccup countered.
Manu blinked in surprise and not even Little Jim had an answer for that as they replied, "What do you mean?"
"What?! How could you fellas possibly not believe us after everything they did and what just happened to us and Snookie?"
Sarah stepped up to the pair as she then explained to them, "If there's one thing my family and I and our friends know about spirits is that they usually have more than just mythical powers. Aside from being able to control the elements such as fire and earth, if the Wiki-Tiki was real and if he really was angry and hypersensitive, he wouldn't just make Mount Pulanana blow smoke. He would've caused a full-scale eruption since his emotions would've been tied to the island's nature."
Little Jim and Manu were baffled as their eyes widened and they blinked twice at the little princess, making her groan as she retorted, "I've done my homework on spirits and how they do things so sue me!"
"And, if we're going to find out what happened to Snookie and stop this evil bonanza, we need to find the Wiki-Tiki and where exactly he could be dwelling so we can bring him to justice," Race decided.
"That said, Little Jim, did the volcano billow smoke when the Tiki spirits attacked you all prior to our arrival?" Delilah questioned Little Jim.
"Of course, happened right before they attacked us all while the surfing contest was underway," he answered, prompting Hiccup, Harmony, Sarah, and Chase to become even more suspicious about the matter involving the Wiki-Tiki.
"But, there's one thing I don't get," Asha put in before turning everyone's attention to the new Pokemon that saved everybody left in the scuffle. "Who are those guys that saved our asses earlier?"
The four Pokemon turned to the heroes and approached them as the smallest of them came forward and bowed politely to them before it introduced itself and the other three with it, "Spherialla, Guardian of Hanahuna, at your service. My children: Tschowl, Mizuara, and Houratta."
Just as the tiny Pokemon, now named Spherialla, introduced herself and the Pokemon that are her children, David, Donna (former queen), Doug, Delilah, and Tsukumaro soon gasped in shock as they all went through a sudden memory whiplash before...
"Mom, Dad, Granny, Gramps?"
"Old man?" Sarah and Race cried as they and the gang checked on the five royal adults while they struggled to stand up straight after the whiplash of memories they just had.
While being helped to stand upright by Kiawe and Mallow despite shaking a bit, Donna (former queen) made eye contact with Spherialla before she weakly replied, "S-S-Spherialla...?"
The Guardian of Hanahuna turned to Sarah and her blood family after her name was called and gasped in shock as her own eyes widened, eventually floating over to Donna (former queen) as she looked at her, her husband, their children, and Tsukumaro along with her granddaughter more closely and then muttered as she turned her attention back to the former queen, "D-Do-Donna... Is, that you?"
Donna (former queen) could only give a sad and bittersweet smile as she nodded and told her, "Yeah..."
"...DONNA!" Spherialla shrieked with joy as tears of joy welled in her eyes as she crashed into Donna, the two hugging each other tightly before she turned to the rest of the Last Alolan Royal Family and greeted them with pained and overwhelming happiness. "DAVID, DELILAH! DOUG! TSUKUMARO!"
"Oh, Spherilla, thank goodness you're alright," David smiled tearfully as he, his and Donna's children, and the old advisor all shared tearful hugs from their supposed reunion while the others looked on in bewilderment and confusion and Tschowl, Mizuara, and Houratta smiled warmly at the scene.
"Uh, Granny, Gramps, Mom, Dad, Tsukumaro..."
"We're...a little lost here," Sarah and Asha admitted, unsure of what to say.
"...Sweetheart, everybody, meet the Vitality Angel Pokemon in her Cherub Form and our old friend, Spherialla," David began as he and Spherialla held each other once again and he eyed everybody gathered. "You may not know this but her eldest sons, Angistus and Panthagle, were once the original Island Guardians before our family's monarchy was abolished 500 years ago."
Everybody gathered gasped in shock and astonishment as they didn't know how to react and even the Jungle Guard couldn't get their heads wrapped around this reveal as Tai Lung voiced everybody's thoughts, "The original Island Guardians?! You mean those two were the original predecessors of the Four Tapus?"
"And, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini were actually their successors to safeguard Alola in their stead before and after your monarchy was destroyed?!" added a thunderstruck Wang Lun.
"So, the Island Guardians really do have ancestors!"
"All along!" Lillie and Sophocles gasped in wonder.
"What a way to go!" James added in amazement.
"Oh, David, Donna, everybody... Lothor, when he attacked, I'm so sorry!" Spherialla cried sorrowfully as she sobbed into David's chest, prompting the former king to soothe her as he rubbed her gently.
"It's okay, there was nothing you could've done. You and your family were victims of his ploy. It's not your fault," he cooed soothingly.
"What did that crazy uncle of mine do to her?" Sarah inquired.
Mizuara, Tschowl, and Houratta went to comfort their mother as the Vitality Angel Pokemon looked between David, his wife, their children, and Tsukumaro, all of them giving reassuring and knowing nods to her to help show everybody what had happened that led her and her family to be in Hanahuna. Sighing heavily, and as David handed her to Donna (former queen) with Mizuara joining the pair to comfort her, Spherialla began to tell what became of her and her family as she showed them an illusion flashback of their time with the royal family.

500 years ago, the Alola Region had Panthagle and Angistus watching over everybody in the region alongside their mother, Spherialla, with Panthagle keeping an eye out for trouble from the skies and Angistus joining his mother in safeguarding the region and protecting it from invaders and troublemakers from the ground as Mizuara decided to go first.
"Many years ago, long before the Island Deities including Tapu Koko came to be, our mother's eldest sons, our brothers, Angistus and Panthagle, were responsible for safeguarding the Alola Region as its original Island Guardians. They were created by her as she was blessed with the Gift of Life and the Entity Creation ability by the one you humans called 'Arceus'. In her present Cherub Form, Mother was able to clear the souls and soothe the hearts of humans and Pokemon, and with her spheres, she was able to create new Pokemon, sacrificing two of them to create our brothers."
As Mizuara told the first part of the story, Angistus was shown tending to the ground and plants below his hooves, showing that he was a large deer-like Pokemon that stood at Xerneas' height and size but had long brown fur and gray fur on his legs, black hooves, and black smoky antlers, his chest also sporting black and red fur while having a small tail in the same color pattern.
Above him, there was a giant avian Pokemon that was similar in size and height to Zapdos, having a yellow beak and talons along with a teal underbelly, and his wings having teal feathers coupled with gray and dark blue-green feathers. This Pokemon was Panthagle, smiling happily down at the peace and tranquility of the kingdom of old.
Houratta then picked up the story as he then explained, "The eldest between them was Angistus; he was responsible for guarding the region against the shadows below, reigning on the ground and known to be the protector of all living beings, humans and Pokemon alike, purifying their spirits and allowing them to travel into the afterlife with ease after their time. The youngest was Panthagle; his duty was to ensure the weather was peaceful, sunny, and warm for everyone in the old kingdom to enjoy and maintain its brightness throughout the region. He made the Alolan skies his own and kept the entire ecosystem functioning, allowing mother nature in the kingdom to flourish for all time."
However, what none of them, the last Alolan Royal Family, Spherialla, and the rest of Alola had no idea about was that their time with them as the original Island Guardians was about to come to a tragic and violent end at the hands of Lothor. In a small clearing sometime later, both Angistus and Panthagle were seen struggling with themselves as they started grunting and roaring in pain.
They suddenly started thrashing about and smashing stuff without warning, their powers growing beyond their control as horrific storms ravaged the kingdom just as Tsukumaro, Absol, and Xatu (back when he was only a Natu) came to see what the problem was. The trio soon heard the sound of cackling and they turned, all of them horrified to see Lothor (the banished and disgraced Crown Prince, Donald Tomoe) as he cackled loudly at the original Island Guardians with Darkrai by his side, looking gleefully at the sight before them but keeping himself under control as he remained calm and composed before the pair apparated out of sight.
The Elemental Owl Pokemon grew grim as he continued, "But, it was never to last; three days after the original Crown Prince, Donald Tomoe, was banished for high treason against his own family and niece, our brothers started to act aggressively without warning, becoming hostile towards everybody and everything in their paths. Only Tsukumaro was able to discover the reason why they were like this; Donald Tomoe, now Lothor, had returned and he infected them with his hatred for his own family as part of his revenge plot before he escaped. This foolish act of his caused them to break out into a terrible battle that only we know as the Great Battle of Nature, a battle that had devastating consequences for us all."
In the midst of their battle, Panthagle created massive storms with lightning blasts that struck the kingdom and Angistus ran through it, causing massive wildfires and forcing the wild Pokemon to flee in fear for their lives with their homes lost.
Horrified by what she was seeing and not knowing about Lothor and the first step of his plan for revenge against all of Alola and his family as she arrived at the scene of the disaster, Spherialla saw her sons becoming aggressive and violent as she floated over to them and shed tears while crying out, "Panthagle! Angistus! Stop! This isn't who you are! Don't you see what you're becoming right now?! You have to stop before it's too late! I said, 'Stop'! PLEASE!"
But, it was no use; Lothor's power had made both of her sons too far gone as they nearly blasted their mother, the shockwave from the attacks she just managed to dodge sending her to the ground and getting Tsukumaro and his Pokemon's attention as they rushed to her aid.
"Ms. Spherialla! It's too late, Lothor's influence on them after he injected his hatred for all of Alola and his former family on them is too strong!" Tsukumaro shouted, taking the heartbroken Pokemon in his arms. "At this rate, because of that monster, they'll ravage the entire region unless they can be stopped by sheer force!"
"Our mother couldn't argue the truth; our brothers were too far gone with what that monster did to them and since she couldn't stop them herself, there was no hope for them now. The two of them continued their unbridled destruction under his influence as Pathangle's rays and Angistus' flames ravaged large parts of the kingdom, killing all those who were unfortunate enough to be in their way. Fearing for Alola's safety and that of the world, she transformed from her Cherub Form into her true Seraph Form as the Sacred Rainbow Serpent Pokemon, sacrificing three more of her spheres to create three Elemental Warriors capable of absorbing the energy of nature and subdue them long enough for her to make the ultimate sacrifice..."
Realizing what she must do now, after taking the necessary steps needed to safeguard the world and Alola despite Tsukumaro's protests, Spherialla made the hardest call she ever made.
"My children, lend me your strength! Please help me protect all of Alola and the world and stop my sons before all is lost for everyone!" Spherialla pleaded tearfully to her newly-created children, the three of them nodding as they surrounded Panthagle and Angistus and combined their powers to immobilize them and stop them in their tracks long enough for their mother to perform the ultimate sacrifice.
"...Myself, Mizuara, and Tsuchowl. However, knowing how much our brothers meant to her despite how much of a threat they were, we and Mother could not bring ourselves to kill them for the greater good. Desperate and out of time, Mizuara, Tschowl, and I concentrated our energy on immobilizing Panthangle and Angistus long enough for her to unleash a wave of life that struck them hard and, with a breath of luck, sealed them away inside a hidden temple in Hanahuna long before Mount Pulanana was created."
Once the deed was done and the original corrupted Island Guardians were sealed away for who knows how long, Spherialla and her remaining children looked around at the carnage left behind by the pair in their wake. The silence that followed was astoundingly horrific; many innocent lives were lost, much of the kingdom was ravaged, and Spheriallia and Tsukumaro were too late to prevent the destruction that occurred, all done by Lothor with his kickoff to destroying all of Alola and his family to get revenge on them for forever ruining him and his life.
Ashamed of what was done to Alola, the Sacred Rainbow Serpent Pokemon used the last of her power through four Creation Spheres to create the successors of her sons: Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini, assigning each of them to an island to safeguard the entire region in their stead and leaving herself and her family with only one sphere left for themselves.
"Take care of Alola, my children..." she sobbed before she and her children left Alola in self-exile to atone for Lothor and her sons' sins.

Everyone was left in stunned shock and silent horror; they now know that Lothor went farther and deeper with his revenge plot against his own family and Alola which meant that not only did he screw up Poipole Fantasy and ruined the lives of his former family and their kingdom but he took his hatred out on Spherialla and her own family, making them his first victims in his ploy as a result and leaving Alola without its original guardians.
"Whoa..." Raven balked quietly.
"Dude, are you serious...? So, not only did he screw up Sarah and her blood family's lives, all of Alola, and Poipole's dig with his stupid plan but he also ravaged you guys, too?! That bozo's a walking timebomb of disaster!" Liberty spluttered.
"You're not kidding, soldier," Trooper nodded.
"Meow-wow, that Lothor's so nyot a nice guy," Wild admitted, stunned.
"And, a really bad egg at that!" agreed Shade.
"It would be an understatement to say that he was solely the one who first brought Alola down to his knees, M'Dear. Even so, the damage he had done and the excessive loss of life was too much for Mother to bear which is why she created the Tapus to take over for her sons and went into exile with the rest of us. Since then, we've wandered around the world before taking shelter here in Hanahuna and making it our home," sighed Houratta.
"That's a truth, especially since betrayals close to home always hit the hardest."
"Considering how many people died because Lothor couldn't accept that he committed treason against his own family and all of Alola for the sake of power..."
"And, issue an iron fist on everybody and the rest of the world had he been allowed to run wild after succeeding Donna and David had Doug not been chosen and he'd not proposed to Delilah, allowing her to become his queen..."
"Even if they were forced to seal him away the first time and Sarah destroyed him after he came back," Zorro, Sokka, Kurma, and Blossom sighed.
"I never thought Pokemon as powerful as those two could be so easily corrupted back then," Race admitted, rubbing the back of his head.
"...I-I, I just wanted...to be back, with, with my s-sons, more than anything, but I-I-I..." Spherialla sniffed miserably, forcing Sarah to come over and take her out of her grandmother's arms and into her own as she soothed the heartbroken and crying Legendary Pokemon.
"Oh, Spherialla, don't cry..."
"Don't worry, Spherialla, we'll help you find your sons."
"Lothor's gone now and it should be safe for them to come back now," Ash and Sophocles vowed as they and the rest of the gang joined them.
"Well, everybody, not only do we have to find Snookie and stop this Wiki-Tiki but we also have to find out where Panthangle and Angistus are and return them home before he strikes again," Doug stated, knowing that they now have two mysteries to solve.
Later, as Manu, Little Jim, Molly, and Reuben were left to pick up the pieces after the Wiki-Tiki's Hohona Lohavas ravaged the luau as they did with the surfing contest, the heroes were taking a nighttime walk on the beach before they returned to the hotel and turn in for the night. But, as they went along, they couldn't help but wonder about the Wiki-Tiki and why he would be attacking everybody over a surfing contest and not something bigger that warrants his rage.
"I don't get it," Wooloo admitted.
"Yeah, this doesn't add up," put in Ponyta.
"I have to agree with Ponyta and Wooloo, guys. Why would an ancient volcano spirit like the Wiki-Tiki flip his lid over a surfing contest?" puzzled Hayden as he wracked his brain for answers.
Rubble and Fishlegs then appeared out of a nearby canoe, wearing football gear with the latter carrying a hockey stick for protection which Angel raised an eyebrow at as she quipped, "Now, why are you cats in there with hockey and football gear?"
"We're trying to protect ourselves from the Wiki-Tiki," Rubble explained innocently.
"Y-You really think the Wiki-Tiki's got Snookie?" Fishlegs asked, frightened.
"I don't know. I don't think those Hohona Lohavas and the Wiki-Tiki are all they appear to be and if anything, I think Manu's words about those guys that ravaged the luau had a few holes in them," Harmony interjected.
"Why'd you say that?"
"Yeah, why?" Heart and Tail puzzled, surprised.
"While we were fighting them, those puny Hawaiian Tiki roadrunners seemed to spark with electricity after they were hit hard. I saw two of them sparking wildly after Meatlug and Dratini saved Rubble and Fishlegs with their lava blast and Thunder attacks. And, that's not the only thing strange about them; they only seem to attack whenever Mount Pulanana billows smoke from its top."
"That is strange. That mayor from before mentioned the volcano had been dormant for years so why would it become active when this surfing contest took place and the mainlanders and tourists piled up around here?" Spectrier nodded curiously.
"Sounds like something suspicious is at play here," Raven piped up.
"Definitely," Tou-Tou agreed.
"And, doesn't anybody find it weird that the island wasn't subjected to fireballs and lava just now and before?" Jakanee added, realizing something else odd about the Hohona Lohavas, the Wiki-Tiki, and their attacks. "If this Tiki jerk was real and if he really was angry, he would've made the mountain explode and killed everybody off but we're all still here along with everybody else and the damage they did is chunk change compared to other volcano disasters before."
"Does that mean this supposed menace isn't real as Mr. Manu and his friend suggested and not the one behind all of this mayhem?" questioned an intrigued Stoutland, getting a nod from the Kumandra Light Dragon.
"But, how are we going to find this Tiki terror if he's not going to find us? And, what'll we do about Ms. Spherialla's sons?" Buneary soon questioned, getting to the heart of the heroes' current predicament.
"Ms. Buneary's right; our chances for finding the poor fellows would be at a measly 23% given we've so little to go through," admitted Calculator.
"Do we honeycomb the entire island until we find either them or that witch doctor ripoff?" Falcon suggested.
"Or, we wait until those Hawaiian jungle terrors come back and blast them until we get an answer as to where either of them are?"
"I'm all for it," Inferhound and Thunderailer interjected, eager to start pounding some Hohona Lohavas again.
"Easy, you two. Those Hohona Lohavas may not be what they seem as Young Harmony suggested but we must remain diligent, I'm sure acting irrationally like that is what's going to make the perpetrator get the drop on us and everybody else again," Rama halted firmly.
"Didn't Little Jim say that two roars came from the volcano earlier today?"
"And, that they both sounded like a deer and/or an eagle?" quizzed Mallow and Lillie.
"Most likely, it sounds as though Spherialla's first sons are still trapped inside Mount Pulana. But, as for the Wiki-Tiki, I think our best course of action is to get him to come out and find us. Maybe then, we'll get some answers," Kiawe theorized.
"How are we going to do that?" Ash pondered.
"Maybe Sarah and I can lure him out for you guys to catch. We're joining the surfing contest so while we're out on the waves, he'll come to us and then, we'll all have the dude," Zuma suggested as Sarah gave an agreeing nod, much to the worry of the PAW Patrol and the others.
"Zuma, bad. Bad idea," Marshall protested.
"Princess, I forbid you and Zuma from doing this! There is no way you two are going out there with that thing on the loose!" Tsukumaro ordered adamantly to his goddaughter.
"I know that. But, Zuma and I talked it over earlier before tonight and we realize that this could be our best shot," Sarah reasoned.
"Absolutely not, honey! I do NOT approve of the idea of you and Zuma going out there as bait to that monster!" Delilah refused.
"Delilah, Tsukumaro, please calm down! I'm sure the child and the puppy will be well-protected and it's actually not a bad idea now that I think about it," Spherialla chirped, seeing the logic behind Zuma and Sarah's gamble as she floated over her old friends. "Her logic on this Tiki spirit creature is spot on and along with her Water Types, they will also be joined by Mizuara so they should be safe while they take part in the contest."
"And, that's not the only ace we have!"
"Yeah! Doesn't Zuma have control of his Mighty Pup water powers?" Tot and Mimi asked innocently.
Tsukumaro and Delilah groaned in defeat, having no answer to what Tot, Mimi, and Spherialla were saying and realizing that everything they said to them was logical in their own right.
Despite their hesitation, David and Donna (former queen) carefully nodded their approval while Doug sealed the deal as he approached his daughter and held her left shoulder, saying to her, "I don't like the idea of having you and Zuma go out as bait in the contest but if it meant us capturing that Wiki-Tiki creature and getting the answers as to what's going on and where Panthagle and Angistus are inside Mount Pulanana, you've got a point. You and Zuma, just be careful... Okay, baby girl?"
"You got it, Dad," Sarah nodded.
"He's right, we've dealt with worse than some manic Tiki spirit."
"Even Lothor and Team Eclipse are scarier than that creep and his miniature goonies."
"Si, and there's a chance this Tiki guy would make himself easier to catch if he appears out in the open," Skye, Jazz, and Tracker decided.
"I don't like it either but it is our best shot. You and Sarah stay safe while you surf, okay, Zuma?" Ryder nodded to his water pup.
Zuma nodded as he declared, "Let's dive in!"
"Zuma, my man! You and your friend tackling the Wiki-Tiki on the waves, huh?" called a voice as everybody turned to see Zuma's idol and an old friend of Ms. Marjorie named Hurricane Harrigan appear with his surfboard.
"Hurricane Harrigan!" Zuma cheered as he rushed over to his surfing idol and he happily petted him. "What are you doing here in Hanahuna?"
"Figured I could help you two out with your little problem, hoa. Besides, any surfing contest always gives me a chance to be one with the maki. I also heard about your little Tiki spirit problem so I thought if I'd find you pups as well as your friends, I can help you snuff out this spiritual trespasser."
"Radical! You're entering the contest, too?"
"You know it! What do you say, Zums, feel like riding the wave tomorrow to save Hanahuna?"
"You bet!" Zuma grinned as they shared a high-five while the others smiled, thankful for the help being given as the odds of figuring out the mystery behind the Wiki-Tiki and the location of Spheriallia's sons tilted in their favor.
