Rickover paused.

He looked over at Adrian.

"Yes we do know. And so will everyone else. And here you can't do anything to stop that." Adrian whispered.

"Here in public, in this cafe, what are you going to do? I would suggest your best option is to walk away now."

Rickover said nothing more just then but turned and departed. Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and focused on enjoying breakfast with his family.

He took the precaution of writing out all the evidence, making copies and mailing it out to the police station, Leland, Trudy's lawyer, judge Russell and a reporter Adrian knew.

He was covering all his bases.

Marsha was entering her forth and ½ month when she and Dwight were over at Trudy and Adrian's home. Suddenly she laughed.

"What is it mom," Trudy asked.

"The babies are kicking," Marsha said, "Both of them."

"Can I feel," Trudy asked.

"Of course," Marsha said.

The girls all rushed to feel their baby sisters kicking.

"Let Faith go first," Ava said.

The other girls agreed. They ended up going from youngest to oldest.

Suddenly Faith sighed.

"What's wrong sweetheart," Marsha asked.

"When the twins are born," Faith said, "They'll probably be scared of me… The scars make me look like a monster."

"Who told you that," Adrian asked, "It's not true."

"Grandma and Grandpa's friend," Faith said, "He told me that he was one of your friends."

Adrian realized who Faith was talking about. Ethan.

"Faith," he said, "That's not true. You're beautiful. When did their friend tell you that?"

"Six weeks ago," Faith said.

That was just before her surgery.

"Why is grandma and grandpa friends with this idiot," Bella asked.

"We aren't," Marsha said, "He's… not a very nice guy."

"But he said you were friends with him," Bella said.

"He was lying," Dwight replied.

"You're not a monster Faith," Bella said, "You're like a swan. You're beautiful."

"I was waiting for everyone after swimming lessons that day."

Adrian felt so angry and scared that he could have passed out. He took a deep breath. For Faiths sake.

"I'm glad you told me Faith. If you see that man again, girls please tell us right away. And thank you all for being brave and strong girls."

Next time the girls were swimming they all stayed together in the changeroom. Adrian had an officer outside just in case.

Not much longer. He told himself. Not much longer.
