Osaka - 1996

A group of firemen and an ambulance are seen approaching a building covered in flames, the firemen make their way inside managing to see the place fully in flames from a terrific angle as they notice something lying on the ground between the flames of the ruined department complex

"Is that a body?" - Says one of the firemen approaching the main room as they notice what appears to be a female body on the ground, said female body covered in flames as the firemen turn down the flames, they approach the victim noticing the terrible third deegre burns on her body and a hole in her chest

"Quick we have to get out of here!" - Says The Firemen taking the body of the poor victim with themselves and making their way out of the building in flames as quickly as they can

The Firemen manage to make their way out of the building as they take the body of the burned victim towards an ambulance, after investigating some more, they realized fortunately not alot of people where inside the building when this happened, coming to the conclusion that the victim lived alone

The firemen who brought this woman approaches the medics some moments later.

"I'm sorry, there was nothing we could do, she was dead for over half an hour." - Says the woman after having checked the body of this strange person

*Sigh*

"Don't blame yourself too hard." - The other paramedic joins the conversation

"I just feel that we could had saved her if we have arrived earlier, and what's up with that hole in her chest, who could had done this?" - Says the Fireman remembering this hole the woman had

"I have no idea, but is almost as if someone had impaled her with something. I just wonder what was her situation before we arrived and who would be so cruel to murder her and leave her to die there in her own house." - Says the medic as the body of this woman is taken to the ambulance

The ambulances depart from there as the firemen turn off the flames of the building

Osaka's Central Hospital - Morgue

The body of the woman with third deegre burns and a hole in her chest is seen on a table as two doctors prepare themselves to inspect her

"The report say she is a woman of 20 or 30 years?" - Says one of the men

"Do you believe that, the only information that we got was from the neighbors, her name was Mai-Ling. Owner of a an antique shop." - Says the man putting this papers on a table

"And what about this thing, this cube?" - Says the other man grabing an object, a rubik cube made of metal

"I don't know, when the paramedics brought her, she had that thing on her hand holding it with force." - Says the other man

"Ok, are you ready?" - The man grabs a tool to use to do an autopsy on the body of the poor woman

"Yes *Sigh* let's do this." - The other man is also ready to cut open Ling grabing a bonesaw

"You know, I feel bad for her." - Says the one of the two

"Stop being so sentimentalistic and do your job, we don't get paid to feel bad." - Says the guy with bonesaw

"Ok but don't be so cold. This poor woman, I'm sad that nobody came to see her." - Says the other man as they are about to start cutting in

Unaware of it, the woman suddenly opens her eyes

"AH-WHAT?" - In a second the strange Ling gets up grabing one of the men and with such easy she breaks his neck for the shock of the other doctor

"ARGH! A zombie!" - Says the other doctor as he sees Ling getting up surrounding him on the wall

Ling kills the other doctor as she walks to where her strange cube is on the table, she opens the door of the morgue room making her way out of the hospital in the rainy day without catching too much attention

Walking in the streets, the strange Ling looks at the sky remembering what happened to her with her lossing herself on the rainy night streets of Osaka

Kagura's State - Tokyo - Two Weeks Later

"Ohmm!" - Chizuru Kagura is seen meditating on the outside of the Yata temple but she isn't alone, alongside her and copying her meditation pose are Athena Asamiya, Shingo Yabuki, Sie Kensou and Kyo Kusanagi

"Ohmm!" - Athena breaths following Chizuru's steps as so does Kensou and Shingo

"..." - Kyo unable to focus opens his eyes staring at the group realizing he is really the only one who can't get this right

"..." - Kyo tries to focus again but he can't

"Grrr!" - Getting up angry, Kyo goes to where his backpack is and takes out his bottle of water

"Having troubles focusing, Kyo?" - Chizuru opens her eyes as well as the rest seeing the angry Kyo opening his bottle

"No, is just that... I don't like this exercise." - Says Kyo before giving a drink to his bottle

"*Sigh*" - Chizuru

"Listen, maybe your mind is in too many places at the moment, that's a normal thing that happens." - Chizuru signals to the group to take a break as she looks at her butler appearing signaling him to bring on something to eat

"I don't see how this whole meditating thing is going to help me." - Kyo

"A strong mind leads to a strong fighter." - Chizuru

"Yes, Kyo. Besides I'm sure there's alot of things we could learn from Chizuru." - Athena

"Like what? How to make those ridiculous dances she does?" - Said Kyo hidding his mocking face

"..." - Chizuru was visibly annoyed at this comment

"Listen, Kyo. I know I'm not the best teacher, but I'm trying to make a good attempt at sharing this wisdom and knewledge with all of you. One needs to be prepared for anything, finding the inner strength in oneself is just a step in becoming the best version of us." - Chizuru

"Can you stop talking backwards and tell me what we are suppose to accomplish with this exercises?" - Kyo

"It will help you all to channel your inner forces better, no offense but from what I could observe from all of the past fights you all have had, you guys tend to use way too much chi at the time to fight." - Chizuru

"With this exercises you all will be able to channel the needed chi at the time to fight, it will be helpful in the long run, trust me." - Chizuru

"Well we trust in you, Chizuru." - Athena

"Yes, Master Chin used to say something similar about unlock our true potencial." - Kensou

Chizuru smiles

"Maybe with this exercises, I'll be able to create a flame by my own!" - Says Shingo with a entusiastic face

"That's the spirit Shingo! See Kyo, in the long run, this is going to be helpful for us all." - Chizuru

"Pffft, unlock my true potencial. I don't need that! I unlocked my true potencial already and I can handle anything that comes to my way." - Kyo

"..." - Chizuru

"As I see it, you still have a long way to walk on before you truly unlock your true potencial Kyo." - Chizuru

"Listen, you want me to be honest. I'm going to be honest, don't take this bad, Chizuru. But I think your exercises are boring." - Kyo

"I don't even know why my parents agreed to send me to train with you." - Kyo

"Because they agreed that you could learn a thing or two from the arts of my clan. Especially when I pointed out this mistakes in your form to channel your chi. They want the best for you." - Chizuru

"Well, they are wrong and I'm sorry but I don't think there's anything I can learn from a person like you." - Says Kyo grabing his backpack

"Wait, Kyo. You're going to go already? But I'm sure there's still more exercises." - Athena

"Yeah, I have more important things to do than waste my time here. See you tomorrow guys." - Without saying more Kyo decides to leave as Chizuru hides her rage

"*Sigh*" - Athena

"Is a shame Kusanagi-san doesn't sees how helpful this could be for him." - Shingo

"Typical Kyo." - Kensou

"Let's forget that happened. Now, shall we continue after a quick meal?" - Chizuru decides to continue with the lesson turning to see Haru having arrived with some food for Kagura and her friends

Meanwhile

"(Is already bad that I have to deal with my parents being mad with me for what happened last time with Mr. Yoshitora but sending me to waste time with Chizuru?)" - Kyo

"(I don't need that! Better focus and channeling of my chi, pfft! Yeah sure!)" - Kyo

Kyo spotting the arcade room some meters away, decides to walk towards there

Entering Kyo sees an arcade machine of a new game, king of kombat 3 with more characters than the last king of kombat game

"(So this is the game that Aoi always plays? Hmph! I bet isn't as hard as she makes it sound to be.)" - Curious Kyo enters a coin in the machine grabing the stick

"(I'm going to pick this guy... Balto. I bet he has some good moves.)" - Says Kyo picking a character wearing a chinese uniform and with a white streak on his hair

"(Hehehehe.. Now this is a good exercise!)" - Enjoying the game Kyo smiles as he spends the next two hours there

Kusanagi Residence - Osaka

Kyo arrives back home

"Hello mom." - Kyo

"Hello, Kyo. So how it was your day training with Chizuru? Are you and your friends enjoying training with her?" - Shizuka was moving some of the stuff on the forniture of the main room

"It was alright. Chizuru really likes the sound of her voice." - Says Kyo going towards his room

"And dad?" - Kyo

"He is in the back garden." - Shizuka

The hours pass and Kyo is fixing his stuff preparing himself for another day at the school tomorrow and his plan to take Yuki to a date after school, seeing that his friends will probably want to still waste their time with Kagura

As night arrives, Kyo finally prepares to go to sleep having finishing the report that Mr. Yoshitora wanted regarding the Great Depression

"(Hope the time wasted on this was worth it, but I'm glad is finally done.)" - Kyo puts the report on his backpack preparing to sleep

Kusanagi finally sleeps entering in his bed as falling into a profound sleep, he is unaware of the strange noises being heard in the outside, almost as if a washing machine was working

The Next Day

Kyo moves as slowly he starts to open his eyes waking up

*Beep* - The sound of his alarm is heard as Kyo turns it off but something feels strange

"Huh?" - Kyo realizes he is wearing something, as well as having something in his head. Recognizing what it could be, he gets up to look at the mirror in his room

"What? When did I change my clothes, did I seriously went to sleep with my uniform on?" - Kyo is baffled seeing himself sporting his school uniform already, perfectly put on with the sleeves and jacket closed, unlike how he tends to wear it most of the times.

"And what's with this glasses?" - Kyo notices how apart from that, he is wearing a pair of glasses on his face

"(Not my style!)" - Kyo removes his glasses only to realize he is seeing everything blurry without them for his surprise, almost tripping himself of the shock walking back

"What?!" - Kyo

"(Something is wrong with my eyes? But since when?)" - Kyo puts back on the glasses realizing how his vision becomes clear again. Shocked, he decides to grab his stuff and walk out of the room

"..." - Kyo is baffled as he takes a look at the corridors of his home, the Kusanagi mansion certainly looked different. More bigger than before, more classy than it was too, sporting this look that made Kyo think of something like the Kagura mansion but this wasn't his house

"(What happened to our house?)" - Kyo

Kyo makes his way through the intricate maze that his home was now meeting with his father in this luxurious main room

"Ah, Kyo. You finally wake up? Hurry up to the school, that you're going to be late!" - Says Saisyu surprising Kyo as just like him, his appearence had changed, Saisyu was sporting this elegant tuxedo and sunglasses. For Kyo it was weird to see his father dress like that outside of formal events

"Father?" - Kyo

"Yes, do you need something, son?" - Saisyu

"Is something wrong with you? What kind of joke is this?" - Kyo puts his hand on his father's forehead

"Argh! What are you doing?" - Saisyu removes Kyo's hand annoyed

"Stop wasting time, you need to go to the school." - Saisyu points at the entrance as he starts walking out too

"But where's mom?" - Kyo

"She went to her job at the hospital, she is well aware of her resposanbilities and you should. Now if you excuse me, I have to go to our enterprises." - Saisyu walks out as Kyo is surprised almost opening his eyes in disbelief seeing his father entering in a sports car outside their home with Saisyu starting the engine of the car leaving the area

"What the hell!" - Kyo walks to the outside towards the street, he stares at the mansion realizing is bigger from the outside view, sure his family was already wealthy but this type of life was something he was used to see in Chizuru or other high society people, compared to the more traditional, humble and calm life he and his parents live

Totally confused and freak out, Kyo takes his backpack and starts walking his way to college.

"(I don't get it, last night I finished the report that Mr. Yoshitora wanted, that was the last thing I did before falling asleep. But now, this place... My home, my father. Everything is strange.)" - Kyo's eyes twitch wondering many possibilities

"(Maybe this is all a dream. Yeah! That has to be! Is just a dream, hehehehehe!)" - Kyo tries to make himself wake up of different ways as he walks to the school but he is unable to do it so

"(No, this feels very real.)" - Says Kyo in his mind totally confused continuing his way

Osaka Central High School

As Kyo arrives at the crowded entrance, he waits for his friends. Suddenly he sees someone that makes him smile... Yuki

"Yuki, is so good to see you. I need to talk to you." - Kyo stops Yuki with Yuki reacting confused

"Eh, sure Nagoya. What do you need to talk about?" - Yuki

"Are you feeling alright? Everything seens to be normal with you?" - Says Kyo looking a Yuki in a detailed way

With all the confidence in the world, Kyo kisses Yuki in the cheek

"Hey! What do you think you're doing!" - Yuki reacts negatively and slaps Kyo

"ARGH! What was that for?" - Kyo

"You dared to kiss me, despite you and me not being a thing anymore!" - Yuki is visibly angry

"Wait what? What are you talking about, Yuki? You and I, we were still a couple the last time I check." - Kyo

"No-uh. We aren't, you broke with me telling me that she had cautivated your heart." - Says Yuki

"She? Who are you talking about-" - Kyo is surprised as suddenly a voice is heard interrupting both

"Ahem! Hello Yuki, hello, my dear Kyo." - Says the familiar voice to Kyo who makes him feel chills as he turns to see not other than Kasumi Todoh sporting a school uniform like Yuki and just like him also sporting a pair of glasses

"(Kasumi?)" - Kyo

"Yuki, can I know what you and my boyfriend were doing?" - Kasumi looks at Yuki with a serious intimidating look making Yuki remove Kyo's hands out of her shoulders

"We were just talking, I think Kyo woke up from the bad side of his bed." - Yuki

"And you, Kyo. Aren't you going to greet me, dear?" - Kasumi approaches Kyo fixing his messy uniform infront of everyone with her depositing a kiss on Kyo's cheek for the confusion of the Kusanagi boy

"Kasumi, what are you talking about? You and me..." - Kyo

"*Sigh* Is there a reason why you're acting so weird today?" - Kasumi answered angry

"Wha-" - Kyo is totally baffled

"Why are you acting like that? Do I need to refresh your memory?" - Kasumi

"Might as well." - Kyo

"You confessed to me a month ago, that you wanted to be with me. You even talked to Yuki about this. You broke with her before asking me out." - Kasumi

"True, it is true that between me and Kyo there was no chemistry anymore." - Yuki looks down

"(So she and me?)" - Kyo thinks as he is pulled by Kasumi as they walk out of there

On the way inside, Kyo suddenly notices something as he hears some noise. He is forced to stop

"Look here it comes, is her, Athena!" - Says some of the girls in the entrance as they see Athena Asamiya approaching

"And she came with her boyfriend!" - Says another woman catching the attention of Kyo

"What?! Kensou?" - Kyo whispers

"Kensou? Who is that? Are you refering to Kensa?" - Says Kasumi with an annoyed face confusing Kyo

"Kensa?" - Kyo reacts surprised as Kasumi points at a girl of brown hair eating a Baozi greeting Yuki in the entrance alongside Shingo who for Kyo's surprise doesn't wear his gloves with the Kusanagi crest anymore

"(Wait, if that's Kensou. Then who is Athena's-)" - Kyo

"Oh great, miss perfect already arrived." - Says Kasumi rolling her eyes as a motorbike parks on the entrance with two people being seen a girl with a school uniform and a man of red pants and a black jacket

Kyo is static as the two people remove their helmets revealing themselves to be not other than Athena Asamiya and Iori Yagami

"..." - Kyo is speechless at the image he is seeing

"(Athena... And that snake!)" - Kyo sees how walking out of the bike Athena gives Iori her helmet as both say goodbye to each other with a little kiss

Kusanagi can't explain it but seeing this provokes certain anger deep down on him as he becomes frozen. He shakes his head as he sees Athena, the most popular girl of the school enter walking asserting this dominance

"Ugh! Athena Yata, the filthy rich scum from the Yata house." - Kasumi

"Athena-Yata? Did you said Yata?" - Kyo

"Yes, she is the heiress of the Yata clan alongside her sister, Chizuru Yata. That grumpy woman who has tried to hurt you in the past, Kyo." - Kasumi

"..." - Kyo is silent trying to process all this information as he sees Athena passing ignoring him and Kasumi

"Lets go, Kyo. Or we will arrive late to the class." - Kasumi

Kyo was unable to focus on the class... More than any other day as this time his mind was clouded with tons of questions wondering if he had become nuts or how could had he ended in such place. This place wasn't his home and he was sure of it with all this alterations made to his world

"(Could it be that the world I have been living in wasn't real at all.)" - Thought Kyo staring as his hands as he makes his way to the entrance after the day ends, Kyo decides to take advantage that Kasumi hasn't come out yet to leave

"Huh?" - But some meters in front of him, he sees Athena walking alone towards the exit. Kyo can't help but follow her, wanting to know something

"Athena." - Kyo approaches the girl

"Oh, it is you, Kusanagi. Hello, is there something I can help you with?" - Says Athena turning to look at Kyo

"Athena, you have to react. This isn't normal. Something wrong is going on to have created this abomination of a nightmare." - Says Kyo confusing Athena as he grabs her shoulder

"Are you feeling alright, Kusanagi? Did you got hit in the head, you have been acting all strange today." - Athena

"Listen to me, none of this is right. This has to be a trick or a nightmare, otherwise how can a girl like you end up with a vile snake like Iori." - Says Kyo trying to make Athena understand him

"Hey, what are you saying? Iori is alot of wonderful things but a vile snake he it isn't, Kyo." - Athena

"I think you really got hit in the head to start speaking such nonsense, Kyo." - Athena gets out of the school as she waits for someone to speak

"I'm not kidding when I tell you Iori is the worst type of person you could be hanging out with. Athena, you can get someone better than that joker." - Kyo

"Like who? You? Hehehe, please don't make me laugh, Kyo. And stop getting in what's not your business." - Athena

"Athena, I'm serious this time. Yagami is-" - Kyo was interrupted as a bike arrives at the scene with Kyo seeing not other than him

"Iori." - Athena approaches

"Sorry if I'm late, traffict was rough." - Iori kisses the hand of Athena for the shock of Kyo

"(This has to be an act!)" - Kyo approaches the two

"Oh, hello Kyo. It has been a while." - Iori greets Kyo in a polite manner for this one's shock

"So you're Yagami, eh?" - Kyo

"Yagami?" - Iori is confused

"His name is Yasakani, Kyo." - Athena

"I remember you being different." - Says Kyo trying to put pressure on Iori but the red haired man only reacts confused

"Different? What do you mean, Kyo?" - Iori

"Ignore Kyo here, Iori. He has been acting strange ever since this morning." - Athena

"Is something wrong, Kyo? You can feel free to tell me, after all we are friends." - Says Iori getting a reaction of disgust from Kyo

"Friends? FRIENDS? I don't remember ever being friends with a damn snake like you." - Says Kyo angry getting an even more confusing reaction from Iori

"KYO!" - But before Kyo could keep provoking Iori, a familiar voice is heard

"(That voice...)" - Kyo

"Oh great! Is my sister." - Athena facepalms as the group turns to see not other than Chizuru Kagura with a green blouse, dark red headband and a black pants approaching them sporting anger in her eyes staring at Kyo

"Chizuru?" - Kyo is surprised

"Kyo, you damn annoying worm! You think you can keep mocking me! You might had won the last time on the tournament but this time, I'll make sure you die." - Chizuru points at Kyo surprising him as this strange dark aura comes from her

Looking at Yagami and Athena, then looking at Chizuru, Kyo can't help but see how his whole world is backwards

"Chizuru, what kind of nonsense are you sayin? We aren't enemies." - Kyo

"Shut your damn mouth off! I'll crush you like the insect you are." - Without hesitation Chizuru runs making her way towards Kyo with nothing but burning hatred

"(Ah this has to be a joke!)" - Kyo dodges the strikes from Chizuru seeing how from her palms, strange purple flames come out

"Don't even think of getting in the way, sister." - Chizuru points at Athena

"Hmph! As if I care, we have better stuff to do, sister." - Athena puts on her helmet as she and the concerned Iori leave the area

"Chizuru, have you finally going nuts?" - Kyo

"Shut up and fight worm! You will pay for what your clan did to mine! I'll tear your apart, you little shit!" - Chizuru

"..." - Kyo

"And you kiss your mother with that mouth, geez! Talk about falling from grace." - Kyo becoming annoyed of all this mess gets into his fighting stance

"Hmph! Your stupid jokes only will make killing you more satisfactory." - Chizuru

"If a fight is what you want, I'll give you one. You crazy witch!" - Kyo

Attacking generating three copies of herself with purple flames coming out of their palms, Chizuru tries to strike Kyo down

"Grrh." - Kyo blocks the strikes but as the pressure of Kagura keeps going, she breaks Kyo's defense

"You have become sloppy, you stupid sack of shit!" - Chizuru

"And you have become more annoying, that's for sure!" - Kyo barely dodges the last attack countering with a punch to the face to the angry Kagura making her fall

"ARGH!" - Chizuru recovers displaying this intense hatred on her face as she spits some blood on the ground

"DIE!" - Running towards Kyo, the angry Kagura keeps interchanging some hits with him, only for Kyo to jump backwards

Kagura jumps about to do her 212 Katsu Otsu Shiki: Choumon no Isshin to strike Kyo with this big fireball on her hand

"Foolishness!" - Kyo does a quick upwards kick hitting Chizuru's chin for this one's surprise as while falling in mid air. Kyo quickly prepares to use his trademark technique

"Try this one for size!" - Kyo hits Kagura with his Ura 108 Shiki: Orochinagi

"ARGH!" - Kagura is burned falling up slowly getting up grabing her arm after recieving such hit

Kyo sees how his attack ended up burning Kagura's left arm, injuring her

"Ah. Ah." - Panting Chizuru stares at Kyo with nothing but burning hatred alongside visible frustation

"Damn you, Kyo Tohno! Damn you to hell! But this won't stay like that." - Holding her right fist in anger, Kagura quickly runs off out of the scene

Kyo is silent as shadows cover his eyes staring at the crazy Chizuru running away

"*Sigh* This is just a nightmare." - Taking his backpack out of the ground, Kyo decides to return to his home with the hopes to at least have a normal afternoon

"Wait a moment? Kyo Tohno?" - Kyo then reflects of the way he was called by Chizuru

"Huh?" - For his surprise, Kyo finds a strange pocket knife on his jacket

"(What is this doing in my jacket?)" - Kyo

Kusanagi Residence

Kyo enters in the house feeling tired after this day with him being called out by his father

"So how it was your day, Kyo?" - Saisyu

"Awful. Dad, you have to believe, this isn't our world. Something is wrong, something really bad happened that ended up bringing us to this awful world." - Says Kyo unable to find the correct words to express his confusion to his dad

"I really don't get what is going on with you, son? You have been acting weird since this morning, did you got hit in the head?" - Saisyu

"Why do you also think I'm lying, old man!" - Says Kyo frustated

"I'm telling you the truth, this-everything is wrong!" - Kyo

"The dinner is almost ready, dear." - A voice is hear as a shadow appears coming out of the kitchen for Kyo's shock as instead of his mother the woman that appears is different

"..." - Kyo is static seeing not other than a woman of purple hair sporting elegant clothes... Not other than Yoru Nonegai appearing with some plates in her hands

"Kyo, dear son! Is something wrong?" - Asks Yoru opening her eyes staring at the confused Kyo who slowly starts walking back shocked beyond belief

"(This has to be a joke! This can't be truth! This can't bet truth! This can't truth!)" - Kyo starts sweating not answering to Yoru's question as he walks back shakening deep down

"(THIS CAN'T BE TRUTH!)" - Kyo

"Hmmm. Saisyu, dear. Do you know what is happening to our son?" - Yoru

"Yoru Nonegai!" - Says Kyo getting into his fighting stance

"Huh?" - Yoru reacts confused

"I should have know that a demonic witch like you was behind this mess." - Kyo

"Kyo, what are you talking about?" - Saisyu

"Saisyu, why is our son acting like this." - Yoru

"Why are you talking to your mother like that!" - Saisyu

"Are you blind or what, old man! Haven't you realized it? I don't know what she did to you, but that isn't my mother and isn't your wife!" - Kyo

"What nonsense are you saying? She is your mother and my dear wife, it has always been like that." - Says Saisyu with such indignant tone to Kyo sporting a angry face

"That woman is a damn witch! A half demon monster who only wants to get herself with the treasure of our clan, father. She should be dead!" - Kyo

"*Sniff* Why are you talking to me like that, son! What have I done to be called like that by you?" - For Kyo's surprise Yoru drops her plates on the ground covering her eyes with her hands crying

"See what you did? You made your mother cry! Kyo I can't believe you're such an insensible idiot!" - Saisyu

"What is wrong with you?!" - Saisyu

"The same I could ask for you, old man. This witch isn't your wife and she isn't my mother. Your wife is Shizuka!" - Kyo

*Gasp* - Yoru gasp in surprise

"..." - Saisyu

"Kyo, what did I told you about mentioning that name in this house?" - Saisyu's anger increases as two shadows cover his eyes

"Huh?" - Kyo is totally confused

"What did I told you about mentioning that traitor's name in this house, Kyo?!" - Saisyu

"Traitor?" - Kyo

"Shizuka did a terrible crime that day, she betrayed our trust and try to kill me and Yoru. But if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be even here." - Saisyu hugs Yoru comforting her

"..." - Kyo's eyes twitch unable to believe what he is seeing, his father hugging that woman who in the past has tried to kill him

"Oh Saisyu. I wish things had been different with Shizuka. She was like a sister to me, I miss her from time to time." - Says Yoru looking with two tearful eyes at Saisyu

"I do miss her too, my dear. But she was deranged evil woman, my father made the right decision in kicking her out of the clan." - Saisyu grabs the face of Yoru kissing her for Kyo's shock as he feels shills and disgust seeing this scene

"Grrrr..." - Kyo

"This has to be a joke!" - Totally angry, Kyo leaves out of the house

"Why is our son so mad with me. Where did he pulled this strange ideas that I have tried to kill him in the past, Saisyu. You know that I love our son!" - Yoru

"Yes, Yoru. I know you do. That's why I'm as confused as you are, my love." - Saisyu hugs Yoru who stares at the door with sad face

As Kyo walks in the streets, he can't help but feeling this awful confusion and anger at this

"(I don't know how she did it, but I gotta find out, uncover the truth and return everything to normal like it was before!)" - Thought Kyo walking

"(But I can't stay in my home anymore, I refuse to spend a night in the same place as that woman.)" - Kyo arrives at a place that he recognized, an hotel in Osaka

"(I'll stay here in the meantime.)" - Kyo enters in the hotel with the plans to reserve a room for himself

Yata Mansion

A beated up Chizuru Yata arrives to her home finding herself with a relaxed Athena on the couch eating some cookies and drinking a glass of juice

"Ah... So how it was your fight with Kyo, sister? Did you finally won?" - Says Athena after taking a drink out of her juice

"NO! That little asshole got the upper hand again, but I swear that I'LL destroy him, make him regret he were born!" - Says Chizuru angry as she goes the gardens again to train

"Wait, are you going to train with your arm injured?" - Athena

"At least allow me to heal it. I know how difficult it can be to heal it oneself." - Athena

With an annoyed face, Chizuru sits down letting Athena heal her arm using the acient technique of the Yata

The next day

"Ahh *Yawn*" - As Kyo wakes up in his hotel room, he puts on his glasses and sits thinking

"What I was going to do today? Hmmm. I can't remember it well." - Kyo scratches the back of his head confused and not remembering what is what he was supposed to do today

"Mustn't have been important. I better prepare to go to the school." - Kyo puts on his uniform

Entering in school, kyo spots his Kasumi talking with some girls on the gardens. Without warning he approaches her giving her a kiss.

"Hmmm..." - Kyo and Kasumi enjoy such kiss as they separate

"Wow, Kyo. That was marvelous! You seem more relaxed today than yesterday, my love." - Kasumi hugs Kyo

"Yes, I'm sorry if I acted awful with you Kasumi. I really don't remember why even." - Kyo

"You were acting almost as if you weren't from this earth, it was freaky and it made me be concerned about you alot." - Kasumi

"But I'm fine now. In fact, I'll take you today to the curry restaurant after school, I know is your favorite." - Kyo

"Really, Kusanagi-Kun?" - Kasumi smiles looking at Kyo with two starry eyes

"Sure, anything for you, senpai." - Kyo grabs the blue haired girl's cheek about to kiss her when-

"Athena!" - Some girls scream as fangirls as Athena arrives again alongside Iori

"..." - Kyo stays static as some memories come to his head again

"Yagami!" - Kyo whispers looking at the two once again saying goodbye to each other with a cute kiss

Kyo sees Athena entering

"Hello, Kyo. Hello Kasumi." - Unlike the last time, this time Athena greets both Kyo and Kasumi

"Hello, Athena." - Says Kyo staring at Iori who puts on his helmet back leaving after watching Athena entering in the school

"(He must had done something to her, hypnotist? He buyed her love? I don't get it, why would a girl like her be with such an idiot like Yagami?)" - Kyo wonders how it was possible for the two of them to be together for the surprise of Kasumi

"Kasumi. Kyo. Hello!" - Yuki appears alongside Kensa and Shingo

"Hello, Yuki." - Kyo can't help but feel sadness seeing how Yuki and him aren't a thing anymore with him being pulled by Kasumi who suggest them to enter inside

Kusanagi Residence

"I called at the school, Kyo assisted today." - Says Yoru to Saisyu as they are seen sitting on the couches of the Kusanagi Mansion

"At least he is still going to the school, I can't believe that boy just decided to leave us like that." - Saisyu

"Maybe is my fault, maybe I did something I shouldn't had and he is angry with me." - Yoru

"I'm going to talk to him after school." - Yoru takes her coat as she leaves

"I hope you can patch things up with him, my dear." - Saisyu

"I hope so too, Saisyu. He is our son and I want the best for him." - Yoru

Kyo is seem walking out of the school alongside Kasumi, the two of them walk towards a restaurant

"This curry is delicious, Kusanagi-kun." - Says Kasumi enjoying the curry

"I know right, very delicious, senpai." - Kyo eats but deep down he is very thoughtful

"(I should be doing something else, but I don't remember what?)" - Kyo

Kyo takes Kasumi back to her house with her saying goodbye to him with a kiss but Kusanagi really doesn't feel anything from Kasumi's showcases of affection deep down

"See you tomorrow, Kusanagi-kun." - Kasumi

"..." - Kyo

"She is a good chick, even if she isn't Yuki." - Says a familiar voice making Kyo turn

"YOU!" - Seeing Yoru makes Kyo going defensive

"Son, your dad and me have been worried about you. Come back with us." - Yoru grabs the hands of Kyo

"..." - Kyo feels a headache

"Argh!" - Kyo

"(I don't understand, I know I was angry with her but I don't remember why? Why I would be angry with my own mother?)" - Thinks Kyo feeling confused unable to remember why he was angry with Yoru

Without saying more Kyo tosses Yoru's hands away from him, starting to run out of there

"Leave me alone! You-You...Grrr!" - Kyo decides to leave the area for the surprise of Yoru who stares at her son running

The next day - Saturday

Kyo awakens more confused, once again he prepares for another day

*Knock* - Someone knocks at the door

"Huh?" - Kyo opens the door only to find himself with a strange man of blonde hair and a lean tall man

"Daimon! Benimaru!" - Kyo

"Hello, Kyo. Kasumi told us you were living here currently and we decided to come to visit you." - Says Benimaru who looks relatively normal

"Ah yes, I was about to leave but I guess we can talk." - Kyo

Some moments later

"So that's what happened?" - Kyo reacts having listened

"Yes, wasn't that man Rugal great? He invited all the teams to his private ship, it was a great party until that crazy Kagura girl tried to kill you." - Benimaru

"To be honest with you guys, I barely remember any of that, I have been feeling strange lately. I don't know how to describe it, my memories keep being fuzzy. Sometimes I remember stuff one way and anothers. I remember it just like you are telling it to me." - Kyo

"So this is why you wanted us to recall on what happened in the last tournaments?" - Benimaru

"Yes." - Kyo

"Maybe you need to come out to clean your mind, come with us. We will go to the bowling room today." - Benimaru

"Yes, this time I'm going to beat my record." - Daimon

"No-No I don't feel like going guys, I think I'll just lay down here for a moment, maybe watch something else." - Kyo turns on the tv of the room

"Ok then, but if you change of opinion. You know where to find us." - Benimaru

As Kyo surfs through the channels he finds himself with a shocking image.

"Athena?" - Kyo whispers seeing not other than his schoolmate Athena Yata running on the beach in this commercial, only for a shadow to appear trying to catch her with this shadow grabing her hugging her with love

Kyo's eyes twitch again seeing that shadow being not other than Iori Yasakani again as a rain of memories starts to come to Kyo's mind suddenly watching this commercial promoting a perfume

"The fragance of the ocean, the taster of love... Minerva!" - Says the voice ending the commercial

"What is this trash?!" - Kyo throws the control towards the TV

"Yagami." - Whispers Kyo as he leaves his apartment

Iori Yagami is seen returning on his bike to the Yasakani mansion, he parks his vehicle only to find himself with an annoyed Kyo standing in the gardens with his arms crossed

"Oh hello, Kyo!" - Says Iori confused

"..." - Kyo stares with anger at Iori making the confusion just grow more

"Do you want a drink something?" - Iori

"Can I know how you and her ended up together?" - Kyo

"Huh? Oh you mean Athena? Don't you remember, we ended up getting along in the last tournament and well... Things just happened." - Iori

"I don't understand how she could fall for a vile snake like you, Yagami. How can I be sure you didn't do something to her?" - Kyo

"Is Yasakani. My name is Yasakani! Why are you acting so strange? You think I did something to her to make her be my girlfriend? Why? Why I would do something like that?" - Iori

"Because I refuse to believe you're a good guy!" - Without warning Kyo throws a punch at Iori forcing Iori to block

"..." - Iori is surprised and confused, rising his eyes seeing the angry Kyo running towards him with the intention to beat him out

Kyo keeps attacking Iori who tries his best to dodge his attacks

"Kyo! Stop this madness, we aren't enemies. You and me, we are friends, remember!." - Iori

"Shut up and fight Yagami!" - Kyo manages to break Yagami's defense giving him a strong punch in the face sending him rolling to the ground

"Ah... Ah." - Iori spits some blood feeling anger as he sees one of his teeth was knocked out by Kyo

"Grrr! Damn idiot!" - Iori turns on his crimson flames launching himself to attack Kyo

As both strike each other in this encounter on the gardens of the Yasakani mansion, Iori manages to get a hold of Kyo's neck

"And to think I used to defend you when were children from those kids who chased you with rocks, calling you martian!" - Iori

"Yes, I remember that. And I hate it!" - Kyo

"I have always hated you, Yagami!" - Kyo

"You're just jealous of me! Because I'm a better fighter than you!" - Iori

"Please, don't make me laugh!" - Kyo hits Iori in the stomach with his 114 Shiki: Aragami

"ARGH!" - Iori sees Kyo about to follow up this attack but he quickly stops his arm countering Kyo with a 100 Shiki: Oniyaki

Kyo quickly gets up as the fight continues

"You have no idea how much I'm going to enjoy putting you in your place, Yagami!" - Kyo kicks Iori in the knee following it with a punch sending Iori to crash against a nearby tree

"Ah. Ah!" - Iori gets up grabing on to the tree

"Is that the best you have, worm?" - Iori prepares to attack Kyo holding a flame on his hand

Attacking Kyo with this pillar of flames in what seens to be his own version of Ura 108 Shiki: Orochinagi, Yagami smiles as he thinks Kyo has been hit

"Now you're stealing my moves, eh? That's low, even for you!" - Kyo comes out of the smoke cloud punching Yagami

"ARGH!" - Iori

Kyo grabs Iori by the neck of his shirt pushing Iori against the tree, he delivers some hits towards Yagami in the face

"ARGH!" - Iori

Iori grabs Kyo's arms and returns the hit to Kyo using a headbutt, sending Kyo backwards who grabs his forehead in pain

"That's enough!" - Iori tosses himself towards Kyo, on top of him, he starts punching him

But the angry Kyo manages to return a punch to Iori, rolling with him and now being on top of Iori

Without mercy, Kyo keeps punching Iori

"YOU DAMN!" - Kyo

"MANIAC!" - Kyo

"I'll-" - But Kyo stops as he sees Yagami finally falling unconscious not answering anymore and droping himself

"..." - Kyo

"Ah. Ah." - Kyo is panting reflecting on what he had done

Staring at his hands, he feels shivers as he sees Iori now looking like himself

"Ah." - Getting up in shock, Kyo decides to leave the area, unaware that a shadow was watching this behind a tree in the distance

The shadow smiles looking at Kyo having defeated Yagami and how he was almost willing to kill him

Some moments later

In a public phone, a shadow is seen making a call

"Yes, I need an ambulance to come quickly to Minato Ward, there's a young red haired man who needs some attention." - Says the shadow

Hospital - Some moments later

"Is he going to be fine?" - Ask Athena to the doctors seeing Iori on this hospital bed

"He suffered from some brutal lessons in his arm and legs, a broken rib, some teeth is missing and his nose was bleeding so much when he was brought here. But right now he is more stable." - Says the Doctor making Athena feel anger at seeing the state in where Iori was left

"Can you leave us alone for some moments, doctor?" - Athena

"Sure." - The doctor leaves

"..." - Iori

"Athena." - Iori

"Iori." - Athena puts her hand on Iori's face

Iori tries to smile showing the holes in his smile from the missing teeth of his fight, Athena feels burning anger

"It was Kyo, wasn't it?" - Says Athena as shadows cover her eyes

"..." - Iori is unable to hide the truth

"We had an argument, I don't know what is his problem with me. But I couldn't take this acusations and he attacked me." - Iori

"Kyo has been acting more and more crazy, he isn't the friend I used to think I knew." - Iori

"Is almost as if he wasn't from this world." - Iori

"This won't stay like this!" - Athena

"Athena, no! Confronting him won't resolve anything." - Iori

"But-" - Athena

"I think the best thing for both of us is if we cut ties, I don't need you to pursuit Kyo in this state. He isn't acting right, he could hurt you too. And I don't want that." - Iori

"You're suggesting that?" - Athena

"Yes, for the wellbeing of both. Trust me, I'll be fine, I'll get out of here. But I don't think we should keep going with this." - Iori

"..." - Athena nods understanding Iori's decision as she leaves

Yet, arriving at the entrance of the hospital, Athena can't help but feel this hatred on her heart towards Kyo

Chizuru Yata is seeing walking on the streets looking decided to finish off with her rival Kyo when suddenly

*Crack* - Chizuru is knocked up by a strange shadow grabing a pipe in her hands

"Sorry for the strange way to say hello, but I'm going to need from your help in something, girl." - The strange shadows drags Chizuru's body out of the scene before anyone sees them

Two days past where Kyo can't help but feel regret about the way he beated Yagami, starting to even forget why he did such act

"Kyo-Kun." - Kasumi meets him at the entrance of the school as they walk out of there

"Senpai, so we are going to see that movie?" - Kyo

"Yes, I promised that I would invite the popcorn after all." - Kasumi

Both don't realize a shadow is watching them from the window of the second floor on the school, the vengeful Athena Yata with two serious eyes

"Those aliens were really scary, Kyo." - Kasumi

"Yeah they were. Thought I don't know why but it felt as if I had already seen that movie before..." - Another vague memory comes to Kyo as he remembers seeing himself in a cinema but with five familiar shadows

"Really? Or are you pulling a joke on me." - Kasumi

"No, no. Even the part where he sacrifices himself, I remember vividly as if I had seen it before." - Kyo is baffled

As Kyo and Kasumi keep walking they find with a little surprise sticked to a lightpost

"Have you seen me?" - Says Kasumi reading the missing person poster with a familiar face for both of them

"..." - Kyo

"Isn't that Athena's sister Chizuru?" - Kasumi

"Yes, that's Chizuru." - Kyo grabs the poster as they read it realizing that this was put on the lightpost two days ago, the date when Chizuru disappeared

"Well at least that woman won't bother you anymore, Kyo." - Says Kasumi with a rather cold tone as despite acting awful with him, Kyo can't help but feel concerned for Chizuru

As another day passes, Kyo's mind once wakes up confused barely remembering anything from the last day

"..." - He stares at the outside of the window

"(Why do I keep getting this sensation from time to time, that I should be do something else but I can't remember what it is? As if a voice appeared whispering something is wrong, but what could be wrong? Everything is fine... Everything is as it should be.)" - Kyo decides to go for a walk

"*Sigh*" - Kyo finds himself wandering through a markeplace, a very humble looking place

"Any coins you can spare, sir!" - The voice of a woman asking for money in the mid of the street calls the attention of Kyo who turns to see this person being ignored mostly by the people walking close to her, the woman sports this black mantle covering her, alongside this messy and rough clothes. The poor woman was clearly living not in the best conditions

Kyo can't help but feel something familiar about this woman as he approaches her, getting a better look at her a woman of black hair, Kyo gives her some coins

"Thank you, young man. You're very kind." - Says the woman

Kyo was about to leave but having his attention called by this woman he decides to return with an idea

Some moments later

Kyo is seeing eating with this woman having buyed food for her and taken her to this small restaurant

"You have been very kind with me, young man. But could I ask you why? Not that I don't appreciate it." - Says the woman

"Is hard to explain but you remind me of someone I know. Someone dear to me." - Says Kyo

"I see, can I ask who I remind you of?" - Asks the woman

"I don't remember her well, but your face is identical to her, that's all I can say." - Kyo

"She was like a mother figure to me, I wish I remembered her name." - Says Kyo

"Well, maybe I can tell you my name and hope you don't forget it." - Says the woman also wanting to know who was the man who had helped her

"My name is Shizuka. My second name is one I'm don't like to talk about it." - Shizuka

"Why?" - Kyo feels strange as he feels he has heard this name before

"Well is a sad story but if you wish to know?" - Shizuka

"Yes." - Kyo nods interested in hearing it

"My real name is Shizuka Kusanagi... I was part of the Kusanagi clan once. But things changed when I was kicked out of the clan for betrayal." - Shizuka

"..." - Almost as if a bell was ringing in his head, Kyo opens his eyes widely hearing this as slowly some more buried memories start to come to him

"Why would they kicked you, did you really betrayed someone?" - Kyo

"No, I could never but I was blamed on by someone else. Saisyu was the young heir at the time, we were friends the three of us." - Shizuka

"Me, Saisyu and her... Yoru Tohno. She was like a sister to me, my best friend. Until someone framed me of trying to murder Saisyu." - Says Shizuka as some tears roll out

"And you never knew who blamed you?" - Kyo

"No, I don't know why would someone do it. I just remember that all the evidence pointed at me somehow but I swear that it wasn't me, I loved Saisyu! I wouldn't never attempted such thing." - Kyo

"(But I know who would do it...)" - Kyo starts to deduce who could had done it

"And after that, I have been living on the streets for years. Live has been harder but I must keep going." - Shizuka

"Thanks for what you did for me, you're such a kind young man." - Says Shizuka getting up

"Don't mention it. Like I say, you remind me of certain someone dear to me. And I finally know who." - Kyo

"You remind me of my mother." - Without any hesitation Kyo hugs Shizuka in this warm hug as Shizuka is surprised

"I must return to my home now." - Shizuka confused says goodbye to Kyo as she leaves the place

"..." - Kyo sees how Shizuka loses herself in the crowd as she finally disappears from his sight

Staring at the sky, Kyo stops to think for a moment

"Now I understand it!" - Finally having recovered all his memories, Kyo runs off out of that place

"(Yoru, I don't know how you did this. But I swear I'll force you to talk!)" - With a determined face Kyo runs back towards the Kusanagi Mansion

"(This won't stay like this! I'll recover my life!)" - Kyo

Kusanagi Mansion

Kyo arrives at the mansion looking calm as nobody is on the outside

Using his own keys, Kyo manage to enter inside but notices the lights off

"Huh?" - Turning the lights on Kyo notices a shadow sitting on a chair giving him its back covered in a sheet

"..." - Kyo advances with caution as he grabs on the sheet and with one simple movement removes it

*Gasp* - Kyo is surprised by seeing what was under the sheet, not other than a unconscious Chizuru Yata

"Chizuru." - Kyo tries to wake her up

"Ah... Ah.." - Chizuru answers as she slowly opens her eyes

"YOU!" - Chizuru reacts angry at seeing Kyo

"Wait, wait! I'm not here to fight you!" - Kyo

"I should had know you were the one who kidnapped me! You have been feeding me with those strange pills, you damn psycho! I'll murder you for this!" - Chizuru tries to free herself but she starts to feel bad

"AH! AH!" - Chizuru starts panting as she grabs her mouth feeling strange as her blood boils

Kyo opens widely his eyes as he feels the chi of Chizuru going nuts

"AH! I'll kill you for what you did to me, Kyo! I'll skin you alive! ARGH!" - Suddenly Kagura starts spitting foam from her mouth as well as as her pupils start to change in front of Kyo

*Cark* - With such impressive forces, Kagura manages to untie herself and walking slowly towards Kusanagi sporting this inhuman look in her eyes, Kyo can't help but become nervous seeing this nightmare image in front of him

"(The riot of blood!)" - Kyo

"ARGH!" - Opening her arms, Chizuru screams at the cieling moving backwards like a beast

"DIEEE!" - And in just a blink Chizuru fully enters in the riot of blood launching to attack Kyo with this screeching

Kyo tries to block Chizuru's attacks as using her powers, Yata creates try furious copies of her attacking Kyo simultaneously

"ARG!" - Kyo's arm recieves a cut by one of the yatas

Kyo has no other option as he is forced to turn on his flames attacking Kagura

Connecting a punch on the angry Orochi Chizuru, Kyo sends her to fly against the table breaking it

"ARGH! KYYYYOOOO!" - Chizuru gets up screaming at the sky as purple flames appear in her palms

"Ah." - Nervous and keeping his focus, Kyo prepares for the next attack

"argh!" - Chizuru jumps and in the air she summons two shadows of her who try to impale Kyo with their sharp nails

"AH!" - Kyo rolls backwards dodging two of the shadows

"DIE!" - But the last one manages to grab him tossing him to the ground, Chizuru rises her hand about to kill Kyo

"AH!" - But before that could happen Kyo attacks Chizuru with a kick getting her off him

"arg! DIEEEE! KYOOOOOOO!" - Chizuru

Kyo dodges the next two strikes from Kagura, countering with his R.E.D. Kick hitting Chizuru on her back

Sending her to the ground, Kyo quickly tries to hold Chizuru to avoid her from move

"Chizuru, listen to me! I didn't do this to you! It must have been her!" - Kyo tries to talk down Yata

"ARGH!" - Chizuru screams as she hits Kyo with the back of her head making his nose bleed as she turns grabing him by the jacket

"ARGH!" - Chizuru starts impaling Kyo with her sharp claws in the stomach as a devilish smile draws on her face seeing Kyo screaming in pain

"AH..." - Using his forces Kyo puts his hand on Yata's face

"ARGH!" - Kyo is forced to burn Chizuru's face using his 212 Shiki Kototsuki You sending her back grabing her face

Getting up looking at Chizuru with anger, Kyo goes into his battle stance

"..." - Fixing his glasses and moving his hand, Kyo provokes the wrath of Yata by staring at her with a mocking smile

"ARGHH!" - Chizuru runs with her palms covered in flames as her entire hands are covered in flames towards Kusanagi

"(I must be precise!)" - Kyo

"(Now!)" - Having her almost face to face, Kyo does his 427 Shiki Hikigane connecting this brutal punch on Chizuru

"HA!" - Kyo's punch covered in flames is powerful enough to send Yata spinning crashing against a piece of forniture in the distance of the main room

*CRASH* - Chizuru crashes against this piece of forniture passing out instantly

"Ah. Ah. Ah." - Kyo is seen panting as he realizes the fight is over, Chizuru has been knocked out

"Hmph!" - Suddenly a voice is heard

"So Chizuru failed... I should had foreseen this. But I still had hopes she would fulfill her destiny by killing you." - Kyo is not shocked at all seeing who said that as Yoru Nonegai comes out of one of the rooms

"So you finally showed your true face." - Kyo

"You wanted me, isn't it? I don't know how you recovered your memories but Chizuru clearly wasn't ready yet to take on you." - Yoru

"Oh well, I guess there's no point in hidding it anymore." - Yoru pulls out a gun

*Bang* *Bang* - Without warning Yoru shoots at the unconscious body of Chizuru two times, killing her for Kyo's shock

"Chizuru!" - Kyo

"DAMN YOU, YORU! Why?!" - Kyo

"Nothing personal, Chizuru. But I can't allow any witness to survive and be telling my secrets out there. After all the stuff you got to see, that includes you." - Says Yoru now pointing at Kyo

"Now Kyo, would you be so kind to give me my sword!" - Yoru points at Kyo

"A gun, Yoru? Seriously? That's no your style!" - Kyo rises his hands

"True, it isn't. But let's just say that I feel pretty desperated at this point and you know what they say, third time's a charm!" - Yoru pulls out the trigger

Kyo jumps to the ground barely dodging the two shoots

*Click* - Yoru realizes she doesn't have any bullets left, she pulls out her cube

"Almost close. Now I'm going to need to skin you alive myself and retrieve my sword." - Yoru

"Your sword?" - Kyo reacts with an indignant tone

"Yes, after all. Are you forgetting you're talking to your mother!" - Yoru

"You're not my mother, you damn maniac!" - Kyo

Yoru uses her cube to summon a wall of chains that tries to pierce Kyo as both struggle with each other in this fight, none of them are aware that someone else has arrived

"Take this!" - Using his Orochinagi, Kyo attempts to hit Yoru but Yoru uses her chains to defend herself from the big fireblast

"Awww, you're starting to feel tired, son? You want me to carry you to bed like a good mother? And tell you a tale before sleeping? HAAHAHAHA!" - Yoru

"SHUT UP!" - Kyo

"Oh, what's wrong is the mere thought of how you ended up here what is troubling you?" - Yoru uses her cube to grab Kyo by his feet with her chains

"Argh!" - Wrapping her chains around Kyo's legs, Yoru holds him in mid air as she walks up to Kyo

"And now!" - Yoru put her right hand inside Kyo's chest starting to rip out the sword out of him when suddenly

"ARGH!" - Yoru screams as Kyo using the pocket knife he was hidding stabs Yoru in the right eye with it, managing to free himself

"Damn brat! You dared to do this to me!" - Yoru starts pulling out the knife out of her eye as she tosses it to the ground

"That's it! Prepare to die, Kyo!" - Yoru launches to attack Kyo when suddenly

*Crash* - The window is broken by a strange sharp object managing to hit Yoru in the shoulder

"aRGH!" - Yoru reacts falling to her knees wondering who could had done this as Kyo also reacts seeing a shadow entering through the window quickly

"Impossible!" - Kyo reacts as he sees the face of this shadow

"Yoru Tohno... You're guilty of the kidnapping of Chizuru Yata, perfoming forbidden demonic ritual and the biggest crime of all being in reality a real demon! By official orders from the Holy Alliance, I have come to finish you!" - Says the voice of the strange figure as her face is revealed to be not other than Kasumi Todoh dressed as a nun carrying this strange sharp blades on her hands

"Kasumi!" - Kyo is shaken beyond belief seeing her

"Kyo?" - Kasumi is as confused as Kyo

"Is a large story." - Kyo

"Save it for later we-" - Kasumi stops as she looks at the corpse of Chizuru in the distance

"Did-did." - Kasumi realizes she arrived late

"..." - Kyo nods with a sad expression confirming what Yoru did to Chizuru

"So the girlfriend of my son ended up having her own secrets, eh?" -Yoru

"How long have you been spying on me, girl?" - Yoru

"For a while now, with time my suspicions just grew up until I managed to get enough evidence and I knew a half demon like you had something to do in the disappearence of Chizuru." - Kasumi

"Well, I hope you two had enjoyed the time you had to be together because you won't get out of here alive!" - Yoru uses her chains to create a wall of chains covering the window that Kasumi broke

The two fighters go against Yoru with all their strength but Yoru manages to block both the attacks from Kyo and Kasumi

Meanwhile

Athena Yata is seen more closer to the Kusanagi mansion, her heart is full of resentment and hatred towards Kyo but also... Full of doubts

"(I can't stay with my arms crossed, I need to confront Kyo and from what Yuki, Kensa and Shingo told me, he was seen running towards the Kusanagi mansion! Kyo if you had to do something with my sister's disappearence, I hope you're prepared!)" - Athena

Kasumi jumps in mid air throwing more of her black nails towards Yoru who dodges them as Kyo approaches trying to burn Yoru with his flames

"Ah!" - Kasumi descends planning to impale Yoru with one of her black nails but Yoru moves back barely dodging the attack of both fighters

Both fighters attack Yoru at the same time

"Grr..." - Yoru

"You foolish brats!" - Yoru hits Kyo and Kasumi creating a barrier of energy around her with her eyes becoming dark purple for brief seconds

Using her chains, Yoru grabs Kasumi by her torso

"ARGH!" - Kasumi struggles trying to free herself

"This wasn't your fight, but you decided to get your nose in my business and just like Kagura, I can't afford from anyone to know my secret!" - Yoru smiles as Kyo gets up

"NO!" - Kyo runs covering his fists in flames to attack Yoru but he is hit by Yoru's chains who sending him to crash against one of the statues from the mansion

Yoru starts wraping Kasumi around with chains

"Now that I know about the Holy Alliance, once I finish with Kyo. I'll go after them!" - Yoru presses Kasumi's body with such force as starting to choke her with her chains and in a matter of seconds

*Crack* - With a smile of her face, Yoru sees the life going out of Kasumi's body as she breaks her neck

"NOOO!" - Kyo screams seeing Kasumi's corpse being throw aside towards one of the rooms

"Nothing but a minor distraction." - Yoru

Kyo gets up staring at Yoru

"(She has become more powerful than the last time, do I even have a chance?)" - Kyo examines his situation

"(Not on this room, that's for sure. I need to get her out here!)" - Realizing he isn't going to win if he keeps fighting in the main room, Kyo grabs a glass with flowers

Kyo throws the vase with flowers towards Yoru with her covering catching the vase

Moments that Kyo takes advantage of to run towards the basement

"..." - Yoru is confused as she starts chasing after Kyo

"(What happened to this place?)" - Says Kyo baffled looking at the maze the basement has become now compared to the basement he remembered

Kyo advances taking cover in any place he cans as he hears Yoru's footsteps walking down the stairs, hidding behind a decorative armor in one of the halls Kyo becomes nervous as Yoru's footsteps becoming more louder

"Come out! Come out! Wherever you are, son?" - Yoru

"What happened to the KOF champion? Don't tell me you're afraid, Kyo?" - Yoru

"None of this would be happening if you hadn't recovered your memories, the more time you spended here you were supposed to forget everything about the past life. But yet somehow, you once again have proven to be an annoyance for me." - Yoru

"Everything was going fine, I drug and brainwash Chizuru. I made her think you were who did this to her, I send her to kill you and retrieve my sword. But no! You have to ruin everything!" - Yoru

"What happened to all your bravado? I thought you had returned to kill me?" - Yoru

Yoru almost comes to the hallway where Kyo is, until she hears a small sound, unaware that is from a rat that moves around the place catching her attention

Kyo takes advantage of that to keep moving around the maze, trying to avoid being catched by Yoru as he tries to make his way to the third exit of the mansion

"But staring at the small window from one of the hallways that gives a glimpse to the gardens, Kyo is surprised to see Athena walking around the garden of the mansion

"(Athena! What is she doing in the mansion's gardens?)" - Kyo is shocked thinking about maybe calling her but the footsteps of Yoru become louder approaching this way forcing Kyo to take cover again

"*Sigh*" - Athena is about to knock on the door

"Forget about it! I need answers now!" - Charging her two palms with her purple flames, Athena breaks the door managing to enter without causing much noise

Athena is visibly confused as she stares at the mess that was the main room of the Kusanagi home, almost as if a whirlwind had passed here

*Gasp* - Athena is shocked as she walks deep in the room, only to see a familiar body lying around next to a corner of the room

"Chizuru!" - With tears on her eyes, Athena runs where her sister is

"What have they done to you?" - Athena kneels only to get the worst surprise, her dear sister is dead as she manages to extract the two bullets from Chizuru's skull she tries to heal her sister but is too late

"*Sniff*... Chizuru." - Athena hugs her dear sister

"Forgive me, I came far too late! Forgive me, sister!" - Athena hugs the cold corpse of her sister

Getting up, Athena holds her fists in anger as she can't help but be full of rage

"Kyo!" - Gritting her teeth Athena starts making her way inside the house searching for the murderer of her sister

Kyo keeps moving around the maze, trying to localize the exit

"(I have to escape, rethink my strategy, I won't be able to win this alone. She is just to powerful!)" - Kyo was sinked in his thoughts when suddenly

"ARGH!" - He clashes with another person

"Athena!" - Kyo is shocked to see Athena already having made her way in the maze and finding with him

"Kyo, you damn murderer!" - Athena points at Kyo with a face full of rage

"You killed my sister!" - Athena

"I should had know behind that appearence you were nothing but scum, I will avenge Chizuru and kill you! Ruin your life like you did with me!" - Athena

"Athena, I admit I was guilty of sending Yagami to the hospital. But you have to believe me, I didn't kill Chizuru!" - Kyo

"Then who it was?" - Athena is surprised at the sincere tone of voice from Kyo, unable to hold her rage she surprises Kyo with a sudden punch, breaking his glasses

Athena walks towards the weakened Kyo getting on top of him as Kyo looks at her with concern rather than anger realizing Yoru could appear in any moment

"Give me a good reason why I shouldn't kill you, damn scum!" - Athena punches Kyo again

"..." - Kyo

"Use your psychic powers!" - Kyo

"What?" - Athena

"The Athena I knew had the ability to read minds, she hated getting on other people's heads but in a situation of life and death she was willing to do it to get answers." - Kyo

"..." - Athena is surprised as she thinks of how Kyo could had know about her secret ability that not even her family knew about

Touching Kyo's forehead Athena becomes surprised by the surge of memories that come to her, of a very different world than the one she was used to see, of a better world, alongside the truth of who was behind the murder of Chizuru

*Gasp* - Athena is shocked having seen herself on this other world, living a different life

"You weren't lying!" - Athena

"I never did. Athena, I'm sorry to say this, but this isn't my world." - Kyo

"Yoru isn't really my mother." - Kyo

"Yes, you're right. This woman who was with your father in those memories, I have seen her before. She tends to stand around a corner at the marketplace asking for coins." - Athena

"That is my real mother, Shizuka. Somehow Yoru created this and trapped me here." - Kyo

"..." - Athena is totally silent not knowing how to take this revelation

"So that means, that my entire life is a lie?" - Athena is sad deep down

"And this other me, this woman, she is..." - Athena

"The real Athena." - Kyo nods

Athena helps Kyo to get up, feeling ashamed of having attacked him and blame for all bad happening but also sad about this revelation

"We have to get out of here, before she-" - Kyo

"FOUND YOU! Oh what do we have here, Athena Yata!" - Yoru is seen walking on the other end of the hallway with a smile approaching both

"Is over!" - Kyo

"Not yet!" - Athena quickly charges a flame in her hand, using her powers of the Yata clan she creates three copies who throw at the same time their own Ura 108 Shiki: Ya Sakazuki towards Yoru

"WHAT?" - Yoru is surprised managing to dodge two of the pillars but the last one connects freezing her in place for the shock of Yoru

"(GRRR! What is this?)" - Screams Yoru in her mind frustated having been hit by this purple flames

"Quick! We have to get out of here!" - Kyo pulls Athena by her hand as both run towards the exit of the place that is on the basement with Kyo recognizing this door in the horizon walking up the stairs towards said door

*Clak* Both fighters enter closing the door as they think they finally are out

"Huh?" - Athena turns around realizing this isn't the outside but a strange looking room with a platform in the middle and bridge leading to this platform

"What is this place?" - Kyo

"Well, if it isn't the pretty boy Kusanagi!" - Says a lousy annoying voice that Kyo manages to recognize

"That voice... Yusa!" - Kyo and Athena cross the bridge towards the platform seeing this strange container in the middle, a strange container in the form of a bubble with a base made out of rock and this purple rays surrounding the bubble inside

"A pink rabbit?" - Athena is visibly confused staring at the creature trapped in the bubble, a small cartoony creature looking like a rabbit of white face

"Yusa, what are you doing here?" - Kyo

"This crazy witch trapped me here, Kyo! And she used me to create this pocket dimension, I have been here suffering for days! And I can't leave this bubble thanks to this dangerous forcefield she put on it!" - Yusa

"Wait, you're the one behind this?" - Kyo

"Yes and no, that woman forced me to create this, then she trapped me here and now I can't escape, this barrier was designed to contain my kind!" - Yusa is visible angry

"How did this happen?" - Kyo

"Well..." - Yusa starts to remember

Tokyo - Odawara

A strange residence is seeing, nobody on the outside knows it but what appears to be a exotic mansion from the outside isn't other than the hideout of the half-demon woman know as Yoru Nonegai

"Damn it! All the blood I had from that brat is dried, I can't make another Sapphire of Dreams." - Says Yoru frustated taking a look at the bucket that she used to had filled with Kyo Kusanagi's blood

In a fit of rage, she kicks the bucket as she goes to her library

Some hours later Yoru is seeing, bringing a book and various materials that she uses to make a circle in this empty room of the home

"Now with this.." - Yoru starts reciting strange words as she opens her arms making a small portal start to appear on the circle

"(With this spell, I shall summon a creature powerful enough to tear that brat in half and bring me the sword, a servant of some sorts who will only obey to my will!)" - Thinks Yoru as she finishes the ritual

A strange turrent of energy in the form of a spiral appears as a strange form emerges from the middle of the circle making opening her eyes

"YES!" - Yoru

Finally materializing in this world, the strange creature makes itself present as Yoru sees not other than... A rabbit

"Huh?" - Yoru

"Ouch! Where I am? This doesn't look like cool cool toon at all." - Says the strange creature Yoru had summoned, a strange talking pink rabbit creature

"..." - Yoru's eyes are covered by shadows as she crouches to take a better look at this being

"And you Lady, who are you?" - Says Yusa

"I'm the one who summoned you!" - Yoru grabs Yusa with her hands

"Well, maybe you look innocent and cute on the outside but deep down you have a hidden ability or something right? Appearences can be decieving!" - Says Yoru trying to hide her disappointment

"Hidden ability? What are you talking about? Do you took me away from my home for something?" - Yusa

"YES! Why do you think I did this ritual? It was suppose to brought a dangerous creature to this world, not this-this whatever the hell you are!" - Yoru

"Hmmm, you are little tense. You're not from the good guys aren't you? Why do you wanted to summon a dangerous creature in first place?" - Yusa

"I needed it to kill Kyo Kusanagi!" - Yoru

*Gasp* - Yusa gasps hearing this name as in a globe of thought the image of Kyo comes to her

"You want to kill the pretty boy Kusanagi!" - Yusa

"Hehehehehe, of that you're right." - Yoru grabs Yusa with her hand staring at her

"Enough talk! Now that you're here, there's not other option, you will help me! Whatever you want it or not." - Yoru

"Yes, lets make a bet, shall we!" - Feeling confident and nervous at what Yoru could do to her, Yusa challenges Yoru to a game

"Fine, but since I was the one who summoned you. I'll get to pick the game." - Yoru walks to a forniture of the mansion picking up a chess board

"Chess!" - Yusa

"Yes, if you win, you get to walk away. But if I win, you will become my servant and you will do whatever I order you! What's wrong are you afraid of losing?" - Yoru

"Grrr! I accept! We will see who is afraid once I win, witch!" - Yusa

"(But I underestimated that woman in this game!)" - Yusa

"Checkmate!" - Yoru ends up winning the game for Yusa's surprise

"NO! You must had cheated!" - Yusa

"Enough whining! You're now my servant and you will do what I order!" - Yoru

"(That bad girl Yoru forced me to explain her about my powers and everything I knew about the place beyond the barrier from where I came from.)" - Yusa is seen explaining Yoru how her powers work bringing some objects to her with just a snap of her fingers

Putting her finger on her chin, Yoru becomes thoughtful realizing she had hit the lotery with Yusa, looking at a earth globe and idea comes to Yoru's twisted mind

"(And using a big portion of my power she ordered me to create this pocket world where she could had control over how things when!)" - Yusa hears Yoru's orders to create a pocket world for her, with her giving her specific indications of the world she wanted

"(And I had no other option but to comply, after having crafted this world alongside her. She decided to trap me here in the basement to keep this world existing. I don't know how she did it but I can't cross this barrier she put on this container and my powers are totally worthless here!)" - Yusa

"So this world was created by her?" - Athena still can't believe her entire life was a creation of this evil witch

"I knew something was wrong! I knew this world wasn't the real one, my world!" - Kyo opens the door from the container where Yusa is

"WAIT NO!" - Yusa

"Huh?" - Kyo is confused

"If you get your hand inside, it will be destroyed!" - Yusa

"Try making anything enter at this side and you will see it." - Yusa

Athena takes out her headband giving it to Kyo in order to test what Yusa was saying

*Bszzz* - For Kyo and Athena's surprises, the headband melts and burns as it crosses the barrier

*Gasp* - Both fighters gasp seeing how taking Yusa out of there is going to be impossible

"Now what?" - Athena

"We need to find something resistant enough to get her out of there." - Kyo

"Oh believe me." - A voice is heard entering

"There's nothing in this world able to enter there without being destroyed, it was made precisely for Yusa." - Yoru enters in the room starting to walk towards the three

"Is over, Yoru! If we can destroy this, we will be able to end with your fake world!" - Kyo tries to destroy the container with his Orochinagi but is useless, the container is still intact

"Heheheheh! Oh, Kusanagi. Your stupidity never fails to amuse me! How stubborn you can be? Don't you realize it, you loss! I won the moment I traped you here and not matter where you run off to, not matter where you try to hide. I'll always find you for this is my world!" - Yoru

"Grr!" - Kyo

"There's no escape for any of you!" - Yoru launches to attack both Kyo and Athena

Despite trying their best, none of the two fighters can do much against Yoru in this small platform

"AH!" - Athena is hit by one of Yoru's chains almost falling to the big hole but she manages to grab on to the ledge of the platform

"Athena! Arg!" - Kyo is grabed by Yoru's chains

"I would worry about me if I was you, Kyo." - Yoru

"It is finally over. I have won! Just like I told you, third time's a charm!" - Yoru starts getting her hands inside Kyo's body to get the sword as Kyo tries to free himself

"..." - Athena manages to get up standing up with her wanting to pulverize Yoru with her fist but then she stops to think for a moment

"(I'll always found you for this is my world!)" -

"(I knew something was wrong! I knew this world wasn't the real one, my world!)" -

"(So that means, that my entire life is a lie?)" - Athena sees the picture of her and her family the Yata burning in front of her

"(No I know what I have to do...)" - Athena looks at the container where Yusa is running quickly as she covers her arms mixing her flames alongside her psychic chi protecting her arms

"Huh?!" - Yusa is surprised as Athena quickly gets her hands inside there

"ARHHH!" - Athena screams feeling her arms burning but focusing her chi she manages to grab Yusa by the arms as the struggle keeps going

"WHAT?!" - Yoru looks at Athena unable to believe she managed to grab Yusa

"Athena!" - Kyo notices what Athena is doing becoming concerned for her

With all her forces Athena Yata manages to pull Yusa out of her prision for Yoru's shock who tries to hit Athena

"ARGH!" - But for Yoru's surprises Kyo punches her freeing his left hand and managing to make her drop him

"AH!" - Kyo gets up quickly to where Athena is only to see a image of terror

"AH! AH!" - Panting Athena sees how her entire arms turn into ashes losing both of them and falling back towards the void

"I got you!" - Kyo stops her from falling looking at Athena who keeps bleeding out

"Why did you do that?" - Kyo can't help but see the smile of the dying Athena feeling sad deep down

"You said it yourself, Kyo. I'm not the real Athena! You on the other hand, you're the real Kyo and I couldn't let her kill you. All this time, I thought I was in control of my life." - Athena

"But the truth is that everyone of us were just puppets for her, helping you is the first time I have made something that made me think I had free will." - Athena

"..." - Kyo

"Forgive me... For not having believe in you! I just-I just wanted to exist... Say hello to the real Athena for me will ya." - After saying that Athena dies in the arms of Kusanagi

Kusanagi closes the lifeless eyes of Athena as he kindly puts her body on the ground

"ARG! Thi-this isn't over!" - Screams Yoru approaching Kyo again

"Yusa! Is our agreement still valid!" - Kyo

"Yes. It is!" - Says Yusa pulling out the contract she and Kusanagi firmed

"What? A contract!" - Yoru

"Destroy this world!" - Says Kyo as Yusa snaps her fingers making a big earthquake happen in the entire world

"ARGH!" - Yuro moves as rocks from the cieling start falling on

"Get us out of here!" - Kyo

"No! You won't escape!" - Yoru tries to grab Kyo but she is trapped as the entire world starts to contract itself trapping Yoru in this void

"ARGH!" - Yoru screams feeling pain as she tries to escape this void sucking the entirity of this earth

Tokyo - Odawara

Kyo and Yusa are pulled out of what is an earth globe with Kyo recovering himself as he stares at the earth globe

"So that's where we were all this time." - Kyo is surprised that Yoru had turned this earth globe into an entire world... A pocket dimension of some sorts

"Fiuu! She stayed there!" - Yusa

"ARGH!" - Kyo is surprised as a hand comes out of the globe, Yoru's hand grabing his arm trying to pull him back

"You haven't got rid of me, KYO! I'll drag you to hell with me!" - Yoru's head and half of her torso comes out of the earth globe as she tries to pull Kyo back

"ARGH!" - Kyo struggles with Yoru

"No Yoru! You created that world... And you will stay there! FOREVER!" - Kyo hits Yoru with a headbutt making Yoru's nose bleed as she is sended back to the void

"ahhhh!" - Yoru screams falling back to the earth globe

"Chew on this!" - Kyo gets up charging his orochinagi

"BURN!" - Kyo burns the earth globe burning the entrance to the pocket dimension of Yoru as the earth globe turns into ashes

"AH AH!" - Kyo is panting as he finally feels relief, he stares at the creepy house realizing this is Yoru's home

*Clup* - Closing his eyes totally tired, Kyo passes out falling backwards, only to fall on a pillow left by Yusa

"He will be fine! But he is tired, I must admit it. Despite how much I hate your guts for what you did to me last time, I also owe you my life for having rescue me." - Yusa

"And luckily tomorrow the pact is over." - Yusa

"What do you say if we return back home, Kyo?" - Yusa snaps her finger disappearing alongside the unconscious Kyo as the ashes of the earth globe are seen

"AHHHHHH!" - Yoru's screams of terror are barely being able to be heard coming from the ashes of the earth globe

Kusanagi Residence - Osaka

"AH! *Yawn*" - Kyo awakens looking normal again

Kyo touches his face and looks everywhere in the room, he gets up realizing his glases are gone yet his vision is also back to normal

"Looks like everything is back to normal." - Whispers Kyo to himself looking at his reflection on the mirror

Kyo suddenly checks on his pockets realizing something is in one of them

"..." - Kyo opens his eyes surprised seeing what is the star from Athena Yata's headband

Kyo puts the star on a forniture, as he walks to the main room

"Dad. Mom. Today is a great day isn't it?" - Kyo sees bot of his parents sitting giving their back to him in the main room but at least the home looks normal now

"..." - Both parents stay silent

"Is something wrong?" - Kyo

"You tell us, Kyo." - Says Kyo's father with a tone of voice very different from how Kyo remembers

"We recieved a call from Mr. Yoshitora and Director Jokyojo." - Says Kyo's mom with a tone that is very different from Shizuka

"..." - Kyo raises an eyebrow as this two tones of voice are familiar to him

"They told us you have been skipping Mr. Yoshitora's classes." - Says Kyo's mom with a disappointed tone

"Is that true?" - Says Kyo's father with a angry tone

"Well, yes but not much it was only two times." - Kyo is confused

"Don't lie to us!" - Both parents turn to look at their son angry as their faces make Kyo be surprised starting to feel shivers running through his body

"They said you skipped his class 17 times!" - Says Kyo's mom revealing herself to be not other than Chizuru Kagura

"Is this true, Kyo?! How shameful of you! I thought I had raised you better than that, young man!" - Says Kyo's father revealing himself to be not other than Kim Kaphwan

"(This has to be a nightmare!)" - Drops of sweat start coming out of the nervous Kyo as he is baffled unable to believe what he is seeing
