Wrote those bits during the break at work. A work pal told a funny story and for some reason this idea came into my head. Note: The translations of the word might not be accurate. I took it straight from Google T.

At the outside of the tilelicious home, a raven-haired girl lied on her belly together with a light-brunette boy and a blonde girl doing together the homework. The raven-haired girl had a pencil in her hand and the trio had on the ground a canvas, which they had to use for their school project. While the trio was working on it, four men of different ages played with each other soccer Two of them were the neighbors Jack and Ethan Bunch, the second blonde, which was around Ethan's age was a slightly dark-blonde guy named Davy Linnell, who was the father of one of the girl's doing the homework. The fourth person was the inhabitant of the tilelicious house and the grandfather of Ruby Langerak, the daughter of Parker Langerak who is the son. Dustin Langerak had teamed up with Davy to play against the Bunch clan and he had the task to catch the ball as a goalkeeper.

At that moment, Davy had the ball and ran towards Jack's side and kicked the ball watching it pass above Jack's head entering into the medium-sized goal net.

"3-2!" Shouted Davy raising his fist up in victory, watching Ethan applaud for the friend and go back to his father to take the ball.

The three kids, who were working together on their project sat up to take a small break.

"I think we should do a break," Offered the young boy. "What do you girls think?"

"Jess is right, we've been working on this for so long. We should do a break," Commented the blonde girl making the raven-haired nod.

"Yes, Debby. I think you're right,"

"Thanks, Ruby," Responded Jess. "Can I take a second and go to your bathroom?" Questioned Ethan's son making the raven-haired nod and see the friend get up to enter into the house.

The two girls looked at the four men playing, then watched Ethan kick the ball above Davy's head and land immediately in the hands of Dustin, making Ethan drop his mouth.

"Great catch, Grandpa!" Said Ruby making Dustin smile and give her granddaughter a thumb up and threw the ball at Davy, which led the ball away from him.

"What does your grandpa do now? My dad said he used to play soccer in Sunset Timberwolves, but now he left because he's not young anymore,"

"He's a coach now. He had many offers and he preferred to become a coach at the soccer academy, so he could work with kids as well," Explained Ruby. "Grandma used to tell me, that he had always wished to do that before, but he didn't have the chance back then. He was lucky, that the previous trainer of Sunset Timberwolves encountered him one day playing with Jesse's family and saw, that he was very good at goalkeeping,"

"Wow, must be cool to have a descendant of a famous sports team," Gushed Debby making Ruby nod.

"Well, your mother is a movie director. That's great too," Commented Ruby making Debby nod.

"Yes…..and your mother is a…...uhm…..a condoctor?" Said Debby unsure about the name of Ruby's mother her job.

"Uh I think it's that," Commented Ruby, then looked at her grandfather, which tried to catch a ball, but failed. "Grandpa….,"

"Knulla!" Cursed Dustin making Ruby tilt her head confused about hearing a weird word. Ruby observed Dustin pick up the ball, then she looked at Debby, which wondered what her friend was going to do. "Grandpa, what's my mom's job again?" Questioned Ruby watching the blonde throw the ball at Davy, then he looked up at the granddaughter. "I'm sorry, pärla. What were you asking?"

"Is my mom's job called Condoctor?" Questioned Ruby making her grandfather chuckle.

"Hehe, actually it's Conductor. Con-ductor. In other places, people know this job as maestro. This coming from the Latin," Explained Dustin making Ruby nod, afterward above Dustin's hair whizzed the ball shrieking Dustin, who saw the ball enter behind him into the net. "Woah, I wasn't ready for that!" Complained the blonde bowing down to take the ball and hand it out at Debby's father. "Why were you asking?" Questioned the grandfather curious.

"We're taking a break and we started talking about how you used to be a goalkeeper," Explained Ruby earning a nod from the blonde man, which shrieked as his friend Jack kicked the ball really hard and it hit Dustin's palm making him gasp.

"Knulla!" Complained Dustin making Ruby chuckle about hearing the word again, then sat down on the patio to observe her grandfather grab the ball.

"What does that mean?" Questioned Ruby eyeing the man, upon his raise from the ground.

"That means your old man is getting old," Commented Dustin making Ruby chuckle.

"No, that word you said when you got hurt,"

"Oh, that's not a really special word, pärla. Just words we…..barely use," Dustin said trying to lead the girl away from asking the word's meaning. "If you don't mind, princess, could you ask your aunt, if she could mix for everyone here orange syrup. Offer your friends a bit as well," Said Dustin making Ruby nod.

"Can I mix it instead?" Questioned Ruby making Dustin smile.

"I'm sorry, grandma warned, that the drinks should be on a correct scale. You gotta ask somebody to at least help you," Stated Dustin making Ruby nod and walk toward the door followed by the daughter of Davy Linnell.

Later at night, Ruby sat on the ground in the living room playing tug of war with the family dog, who had been growling during the attempts to keep the rope on his side. During the game, Ruby slipped back from the dog, landing on her back, and observed the mixed breed Maro walk away, then go under the coffee table to chew on it. Ruby chuckled, then got up from the floor to enter into the kitchen to see her mother making mac and cheese. Ruby observed the mother empty from a pot a white-yellowish sauce into a casserole dish, that was filled with cooked macaroni.

"Do you need help?" Questioned Ruby approaching her mother from the side, which shook her head.

"I'm good for now," Answered River making Ruby nod, then glimpse at the medium-sized belly of the mother, making her smile and place her hand carefully on it.

"Hello," Greeted the girl, making the mother smile and caress her daughter behind her head. The two females heard the dog in the living room bark from under the table, then both glimpsed at the dog, which looked at the door expecting a visitor.

"It must be your dad," Mentioned River dropping the pan into the sink, then opened the counter above her head to take down the plates giving Ruby an idea and hold up her hands in the air.

"Can I put the table?" Questioned the daughter making the mother smile, who placed the plates above the counter, so the girl could easily take them.

"You have time, you can take one by one. All at once are a little heavy for you," Mentioned River making Ruby nod and carry one plate to the table. River observed her daughter seek for a spot on the table making the brunette smile, afterward, she looked out at the living room to see her husband Parker get into the house looking at the ground to see their Corgi-mixed breed get on her hind legs to call for Parker's attention.

"Yes I know, Maro. I'm late," Announced Parker getting down to the dog's level to hold his hand out for the dog to lick his hand. River observed the man pet the canine on her head, making it wag her tail.

"Was the show bigger, than expected? I thought the builds were almost complete," Asked the brunette earning the attention of her husband, who head into the kitchen to greet her with a peck.

"Yeah, it's a long story. Somehow Stiles' son got stuck inside of the castle and we had to unscrew the main wall of the castle to get him out,"

"You've all locked his boy in there and nobody noticed it?" Questioned River perplexed watching her husband shrug her shoulders.

"I was on the left side of the stage near the curtains. I didn't see anything suspicious nor did the others. We only knew because someone began to knock on our finished castle and Stiles happened to be looking for his son," Explained Parker making River shake her head amused.

"Well, that was one entertaining way for you to stay late," Stated River making Parker nod.

"I wasn't really happy about the work I had to do again. I had no choice," Mentioned Parker. "Tomorrow, I'm off work at 6. I should be able to make dinner for us. It won't be mac and cheese, but anything else. Tell me, what you want and I'll do it instead of you,"

"We'll see that," Commented River making Parker nod, then Ruby came beside her father to pick up another plate, making him smile.

"Good afternoon, little sunshine," Greeted the man amused, then earned the daughter's attention, who looked up and embraced her father. "Did you enjoy your day with Grandpa?"

"I spent most of the time doing homework," Commented Ruby making Parker grin.

"What? You didn't get to play or anything?" Questioned the father watching the girl nod.

"Yes, but not so much," Answered Ruby. "I did play after doing homework with Debby and Jesse, while their dads played soccer with Grandpa,"

"Tell Grandpa next time, he owes you some playtime. You were there for more than one reason, right?" Questioned the father making Ruby nod, then observed her father show her his fist for her to fist bump it. Ruby walked away with the plate to put it on the table, afterward returned to take the next one.

"Can you open the oven?" Asked River picking up the casserole dish watching her husband pull the door down, so she could put the meal in there to cook. "Will you take a shower after dinner?"

"Yes. I have to check something in the garage first," Mentioned Parker making River nod, afterward the man looked down at the belly of his wife, then smiled and bowed down to look at it. "Is it me or did it grow bigger?"

"I think it's the same," Responded River reaching her hands toward Parker's to pull them above her belly.

Ruby returned to the kitchen to open a drawer and pick up a handful of forks, then shrieked as she dropped a few of them on the ground.

"Oh knulla….."Ruby said, making her father furrow his eyebrows confused and River looked back at their daughter to see her pick the forks up to place the ones back, she didn't need.

"What did she say?" Questioned River seeing Parker lean back on the counter.

"I think she said knulla. At least it sounded like that to me," Responded Parker.

"Is that Swedish?" Questioned River making Parker nod. "What does it mean?"

"Well, you're gonna laugh, it means uh…...the f-word,"

"What?" Asked River surprised, then Parker commented again.

"Oh you can also say it means crap. Works both ways,"

"Why didn't you say anything, if you knew, what it meant?"

"It's not as bad as it sounds," Mentioned Parker making the woman frown.

"She's still a child. She doesn't know, what she's saying. You know kids nowadays learn from each other bad words without even knowing that. You could have at least notified her, that she shouldn't throw around that word without knowing how to use it correctly,"

"You're right. I was kind of surprised she even knew, that word existed,"

"I know, that sometimes we can get into a situation and let out a bad word, but be sure Ruby or any other kid of her age isn't around you,"

"I didn't swear around her as far as I'm concerned,"

"Then where did she learn that word?"

"Perhaps my parents? I barely curse in Swedish," Commented Parker watching the brunette look at the daughter, which returned to pick up a few knives.

"Ruby, can you tell your dad, what you said before, when you dropped the forks?" Questioned the mother earning the attention of the daughter, which looked at both her parents.

"What word?" Questioned Ruby. "The word knulla?"

"Exactly. You didn't hear that from Daddy, right?" Questioned Parker making the girl shake her head.

"Grandpa said it today during soccer. I asked him, but he said it's a word we never used," The girl stated making her parents nod.

"Oh I think my dad said it, but she misunderstood it," Commented Parker looking at the brunette."You know I think Grandpa meant to say, that the word you used isn't meant to be used,"

"Why not?"

"Usually, you should ask someone, when you hear a word you don't know. If Grandpa couldn't give you an answer, you could have asked us. You know both your dad and I grew up multilingual, so we might struggle too sometimes. We don't want you to give bad impressions from still being learning a language,"

"Is that word I said something very bad?" Questioned Ruby watching River look at her husband, which moved her hand demonstrating the medium rank of the word.

"From what I've understood, it's not the worst word in the world, but it's still not a nice word. There are other sorts of words, that can be insulting to other people or they might frighten others. Imagine you would have said that word for example to your father or your aunt. They wouldn't be happy about it," Mentioned River watching Ruby think about it, a little abashed.

"I didn't think about it," Answered the girl. "I'm sorry, I didn't ask you about that word,"

"It's okay. We just wanted to make sure, you know that. Don't worry, we're not mad at you. You can always ask us any word's meaning you're not familiar with," Explained River making her husband nod.

"Any of us. Who knows, maybe one day you hear your mother or grandma Fiona say something in Irish and you end up questioning me about it, leaving me confused as well," Pointed Parker out, followed by getting elbowed by the brunette.

"I never cursed in Irish," River mentioned crossing her arms, making Parker laugh.

"Don't need to feel disappointed. I curse in three languages," Joked Parker followed by River punch him on the arm.

"I just curse in pain and you know that well," Commented River.

Ruby cackled about their parents' banter, then placed the cutlery on the counter and embraced both her parents tightly.

"Thank you," Said the daughter sensing both her parents lean their heads near the girl for admiration.
