Lucy had her hands wrapped around Will's bicep, giggling slightly as the two chattered away.

At some point, she caught sight of the time on her watch. "Oh shoot, I'm supposed to be meeting my friends in ten minutes. Let me just text them and let them know I'll be late." She pulled out her phone only to watch the screen go black before she had a chance to click onto her contacts. "Shoot."

"You can borrow mine," Will said, pulling out his phone from his pocket. "You keep their numbers written down somewhere in case of emergencies, right?"

Lucy pulled out a piece of paper from her purse, confirming what he said. "You sure you're okay with me borrowing it? Not afraid I'm gonna snoop through it?" She kept her tone light and teasing, knowing it's not something she'd actually do.

Will laughed, "I mean, you're welcome to if you're that desperate, but I think that, first of all, you respect my privacy and second of all, you're running late, you don't have time."

Lucy regarded him with playfully narrow eyes for a second, before grinning. "Damn, both good points." They both laughed as she typed her friend's number into his phone.

Though she was teasing him when she said it, she also knew that he'd been burned in the past by a girl who didn't trust him and disregarded his privacy, so it was real testament to how much they trusted and respected each other that he had no fear handing over his phone.

As soon as she was done with it, Lucy handed the phone back and the two of them walked back to his car so that he could drop her off where she was meeting her friends, neither able to keep their smiles off of their faces.
