Premonition In The Night Part 1
In the Chan house in the boys' bedroom, Alan Chan was asleep in the bunk bed below Tom's.
Alan had begun tossing and turning fitfully, beginning to dream.
Through his eyes within his dream, Alan could see three young children on a small island, Anne was on the other side of the riverbank.
"Help us!" the three children, two girls and one boy cried in unison.
Anne took off her shoes and socks, "Be patient! I'll be right there!" she called.
"Hurry!" the children called.
Anne dove into the freezing cold river water to rescue the children.
That was when Alan awoke in a cold sweat, "Anne! No!" he shouted.
Alan's shouts were so loud that he awoke Tom who slept in the bunk below his, as well as Scooter, who slept in the bunk below Flip's, who both slept in the bunk beds to Alan and Tom's right hand.
"What's wrong, Alan?" six-year-old Scooter asked.
"Anne! In danger! Scooter! I know it! I can sense it!" Alan answered huffing and puffing, he was out of breath.
"Alan, you were merely having a series of images and sensations occur in your mind while your brain was altered, I recommend you allow your body and mind to return to their state of suspended consciousness." Tom reminded.
"I beg your pardon?" Alan asked.
"It was a dream, Alan, go back to sleep." Scooter said with a yawn.
"I'm going to go into the girls' bedroom to see how Anne's doing." Alan said, climbing down from his bunk.
Alan crept over to the bedroom his four sisters, Suzie, Anne, Nancy, and Mimi all shared.
The door to the pretty pink bedroom was open a crack, so Alan peeked inside.
Good! Nothing to worry about, Alan thought now feeling relieved. Anne is safe.
